Hey guys put all your OOC jazz here. As an update, I just got done of all my Thanksgiving stuff for today so I will have Monster Post up shortly since I didn't have your character pictures till now... and the whole process just got done so... exciting times!

Lets start off about laying down some house rules! If you guys have any ideas voice them out, I will post some later in an hour or so when I am done with dinner.

Here are the houserules I suggested in the other thread:

Free excellencies (1st, 2nd, 3rd only) with each purchase of a Charm in the appropriate tree. For example If I took Hypnotic Tongue Technique in the Presence tree, I could get the pre-req excellency alongside it.

Free spell with each purchase of a circle of Sorcery.

Free Ox-Body Technique for each dot of Essence you have.

Craft as one skill, with more exotic crafting abilities requiring Medicine (for genesis) Lore (for artifacts) and Occult (for Fate). Alternately mundane craft is one skill, with exotic crafting abilities treated as specialties.

To be frank you all have more experience with the Exalted books then myself. I have never been in a game where Ink Monkeys wasn't officially allowed. I certainly would welcome anything from there.

Well that took longer then I thought. I didn't proofread, so sorry for grammar and such. I will proofread tomorrow morning :P

Thanks :) I probably could have spent more time describing each area you guys were in, but I will leave that for my return post

For house rules I'm partial to the free spell but that's more to be nice to the sorcerers. It kinda sucks to have to spend a charm slot and not get anything for it.

You've seen my arguments against the free excellencies and ox bodies. I personally think it's a horrible idea. Anyone who views excellencies as a waste is making a mistake. By taking the 3rd excel in dodge or parry you now are hard to hit, by taking the first you can be better then the greatest of mortals with a casual effort.

Ox-Body are part of what defines characters in creation. What makes them unique and shows some of their personality to the world. How many charms do you spend. Spend not waste. Spend on more HP, to be tougher, to take more hits.

Ink Monkeys are not the best charms in the world, some are overpowered compared to normal but then again it was partly designed to fix the imbalance with Solars and other exalts. It's also the reason they have the dawn solution in their as Dawns were kinda a joke at the time it came out. When I made my first character ever I was told choose a Zenith as you can be a combat monster by just taking melee as a favored. I personally want you to use it cause my character is almost designed for the dawn solution. Heavy Archery and Melee. I'll likely add some throw onto it as well and just be a whirling dervish of death. Well in time.

As for the Craft well it comes down to what you want craft to be. How tight of a control do you want over artifacts. How special do you want master crafters. The cheaper you make the craft skill the less worth it has.

Another thing you have to decide is backgrounds. They talk about the two basic ways in the errata either having them free or making us pay for them. To summarize either free or 3xp per dot. While I'd love it'd to be free as I'm sure I'm gonna be gaining all kinds of backgrounds in time I'm gonna suggest you make it cost 3xp per dot.

I would have to say, I tend to agree toward Reaver opinion for the free excellencies and ox-bodies but if most players want free ox bodies and excellencies, heh sure why not. For craft, well frankly it takes so much times and resources, plus the finding exotic materials to even do anything, I doubt that it would become an issue.

I should be updating the thread shortly here. Heh, I just woke up. Stayed up till 4AM last night... having the whole week off will do that to your sleep cycle. All dem video games.

I will update for Takeno/Asad once the other four update. It is hard to get six strangers together in a game at once without them doing actions at different intervals. :)

Although its not altogether required, it would be nice if you guys could put your characters name at bold at the top of each post and perhaps have a color for your speaking text? Just a cool formatting thought for easy readings.

Retro and Blackadder should use Pink and Yellow. Since the GM uses black, we'll have all the colors of the Power Rangers! :D

Yeah, definitely not a requirement. I mean if you guys as a group don't want to its cool. Just in my experience on another board it made the formatting look well. Maybe its just me lol :P

Whatever.

I should be updating shortly, going to eat me a hamburger.

EDIT: For ease of stuff I will use colors too if we decide to make it permanent.

So I'm going to be going down to Indiana this wednesday for thanksgiving. I'll try to continue posting with my phone, but they'll be short posts.
