Fantasy The Land Of The Rising Sun (OOC Chat)

Oh.

Well I mean, it depends on the situation. You're not really going to reason with a demon, but sometimes a singular sane human being can be reasoned with.

Fucking inhuman bastards with your special fancy powers
Havel isnt exactly sane lmao.

Hmm....

All right, I'll keep the fighting skills and Walter won't be a capable military commander.

As a combatant, Walter will have fighting value equal to that of Havel though they have significant differences in their style of fighting. As a swordsman, Walter is only able to desperately parry Havel's blows before being finally overwhelmed. As a ranged fighter, Walter is superior since he can fling multiple stones at Havel and inflict damage on him. And sure, Walter can utilize many weapons to fight Havel at close range, but overall Havel has the advantage if Walter decides to confront him in a melee.

Walter will known a lot about medieval weapons, but that will only be limited to European Medieval weapons... so yeah... that's not going to be of much use.

As a military commander, I think you should set how good Walter is so I'd know what you want. This is so we can avoid confusion.

When you finish the character sheet and I see exactly HOW good he is in what fields, ill give you my verdict.

Besides, the only people that will have some kind of experience in leading armies would be Havel, Walter, and possibly Akechi. I cant think of anyone.else.

Oh, and just to clarify. Walter IS a good swordsman that can kick ass, but when compared to Havel.... a demon swordsman then... yeah....
Humans are theoritically the weakest ones BUT with some imagination, you can make them one of the strongest character's in here.

All right, I'll be working on my CS. Yep, still thinking about my character 'till now. It's been half a week and I haven't come up with the full picture of my glorious knight. I'll probably start tomorrow since I don't have much energy now.

As a military commander, Walter acted as a knight banneret, that is a knight that can fly his own banner and command a company of peasants. He once had several knights and his own personal squires that acted as his officers but they've gone their separate ways now.

What about Havel?

Or we can just simply gang up on a demon and lynch the fucker. Nothing beats good old torches and pitchforks!
Havel was thrust into warfare at a really early age. So he learned how to fight because his life depended on it. Death is like a permanent companion for him.

So as he grew older and closer with his feudal lord, he began to learn how to take control of the armies, eventually leading a few full scale battles himself after he became a man. Nithing to consider him a commander or general but enough to have know how and experience.

Somehow I doubt that will wotk

Havel controlling armies and leading full-scale battles for himself? Better make mine familiar with the aspects of European medieval warfare then.

And ah well, we can always try to run with our tails behind our legs if worst comes to worst.

Aye. Havel will have some form of knowledge of european warfare, considering he was born there and spent his childhood there but nothing concrete. Probably put a smile on his face to see someone walking around in plate armor with european weapons. He hasnt seen THAT in a few decades

Well, in turn, Walter will get to know only bits and pieces of Asian medieval warfare through his limited interactions with the Chinese.

Oh, and I'm still conceptualizing my character. I'm even having having a hard time with the easy bits of the character sheet. Giving him a name, getting appearances... polishing his dialogue up here and there.

Take your time mate. Im in no hurry lmao

Did you edit him? I only saw it when you put his name and like.....his gender and that was all lmao

Ah, so you want a really complete picture of him. That'll take a while to make. I've made a lot of plans for him but I don't know if I can put all of the ideas into his character. Some ideas will just have to be rejected during his creation. Don't worry, I'll sort this out soon!

What's your first impression of this guy then?

My first impression is that he will be a unique addition to the roleplay. I was feeling like my guy was going to be the only foreigner.

Thats about it as far as firsr impressions go though. Im looking forward to it but I havent set any expectations yet.

*stares dumbfoundedly*
You guys - lynch me?

...

Lmao good luck. I'm on my way to Havel's group now to test the waters with people actually trained to fight. If they can't defeat me by themselves, good lord y'all are gonna need a miracle. ; )

I look forward to it. I know Havel outclasses your demon in skill alone. But he's going up against an opponent he knows nothing about. This might end up as a loss but for sure it will be a hard fought victory for the demon. It really depends on whether or not your character thinks the victory will be worth the energy he will spend in the fight or the damage he will receive.

Especially after having eaten and fueled up not too long ago

He derives his fuel from powerful beings that host a more powerful spiritual energy, so Havel, although he'd be a tough fight, would look quite appetising to Khaoul. Not to mention Khaoul is quite proud and underestimatey, he won't just back to a fight. It's why he lost tonthat samurai all those years ago, he didn't know how to retreat.

When you say skill, I'm assuming you mean in sword combat, which is true. But I would say Khaoul is more skilled in hand to hand combat, especially with his grotesquely modifiable body. Not to mention Havel has a human's speed and strength (I think), meaning he'll have to put in a lot more effort in order to actually damage Khaoul, plus he'll have to keep repeatedly doing that until Khaoul's regeneration eventually runs out or some other circumstance occurs. It all just sounds like one long, difficult uphill battle for Havel. It would be easier if he had some magic to back him, because he's gonna have to move fast to avoid my ancient demon strike style and the acid blood.

Cosmosis Cosmosis I'll just have the guards let Johnathon go and you can figure out a better place for him to fit in
I could do it myself Blue. I just don't see where i could go. Groups are already formed and being a fuckin ideot, i didn't direct Jon towards a group really. Tried to be unique and messed up. Shoulda spoken with everyone more, worked out ideas. Instead, OOC went too fast and i didn't speak up or read much of it.

So idk what to do at this point honestly. I really don't.

At the very least there's the big meetup at the grove tomorrow night (in rp time) so if nothing else you can bring Johnathon back into the fold at that point
As for now you could have him tangle with the demon and the furries? lol
