Fantasy The Land Of The Rising Sun (OOC Chat)

Pls tell me so I can leave the cone of shame

I feel kinda bad now, sorry. xD <3

But with area of effect stuff, I normally go with 10m, but 13 or 15 sounds completely fine to me. I wasn't saying any of that because I wanted my char to be more powerful, I was just worried that Auriel was a bit op for everyone else. I guess I was partially wrong. : P

Anyways, time to retaliate!

You may be a demon but Khaoul will still mess you up if you get in his way, it's not complete detachment from my enmity! Demons will be punished! (Looking at you Hannun)

I really wasn't going for op, I promise!

Her entire personality is based on the idea of independence, as she typically tries to solve all of her prolems alone. Having grown up training with her father in her prime learning stages, she is meant to have grasped most of the basic concepts of her power, but not very advanced considering her limited window of study. Hence why she can really only use most of her actual good powers under the influence of her field. So like, she has the foundation to grow, but doesn't know how to further herself without guidance. Essentially, her progress has plateaued since her father's disappearance

Her passives basically just make her a werewolf with thicker skin and swole muscles d;

Idk it's really complicated in my head how I decided to go forward with her, so it would always be good to have outside opinions!

I'm making my post now, and I just realised that I get buffs as well. This was not particularly smart of Auriel, because now I get to use my special moves! :D
Actually, for plot's sake (and for yours), I'll hold off on using special abilities for now until either this fight gets very interesting or the story progresses some more. Can't throw out all my tricks in the first fight, right?

Yeah... Just to let you know, when you land hits on me (which should be easy enough for you considering your speed and enhanced senses) they go through that black smoke veil around me. It's not gonna physically affect you, its not a shield of any kind. Unless, of course, I grab you - then that smoke will consume your very being until nothing remains. IT'll be quite a gruesome death indeed, I mean- Well, just check my second post. Those guys got messed up.

I didn't read your second post on purpose because I don't handle gore well. It's a childhood trauma thing d;

Are you saying that she would be able to dodge him? I was under the impression that she would not have the means to do so against Khaoul

You heard what Shadow said, our speed is equal. And we both come equipped with demonic senses + you have animal senses, so if anything, landing a hit should be fairly easy for you. Khaoul wasn't really designed for dodging anyway (although he's still pretty good at it). He was made for tanking damage and dealing it out with a vengeance. So feel free to launch as many attacks as possible and I'll tell you what happened after that. : )

Of course that doesn't necessarily mean you can dodge him easily either, he has had several millennia worth of experience at fighting and he can predict fairly easily where his target will move next. Think about it this way:

Khaoul
  • 50% Dodge
  • 75% Hit
  • 100% Damage
  • 100% Armour/Regen
  • 75% Speed

Auriel
  • 75% Dodge
  • 75% Hit
  • 50% Damage
  • 75% Armour/Regen
  • 75% Speed

And then this Twilight field gives a 10% boost of each individual stat to all stats. So +5% Dodge for me, +7.5% Dodge for you, etc.
That's how I envision it in my mind. It might not be completely accurate (or maybe I'm forgetting something), but the fight should pan out according to these stats.

Oh, and to put it into perspective, here's the average human soldier:

Human Soldier
  • 35% Dodge
  • 50% Hit
  • 20% Damage
  • 10% Armour/Regen
  • 10% Speed

Oh geeze I never put that much thought into it XD

I mean, Aurelie isn't a moron, so I don't expect her to retaliate. I usually go with my instincts on how my characters should react and go with it tbh

Also, her name is Aurelie. I'm not sure I've ever heard the name Auriel tbh where is that from?

Pitting Paul against Nimzo is like pitting Doomsday against Darkseid. It's really obvious who the winner's gonna be.

Idk who Paul and Nimzo is and idk how good Doomsday is against Darksied because idk what Darkseid is.
