Assuming you have read the overview and rules, which, I really hope you did... If you want to simply reserve a character, head on over to the OOC (reservations are held for 24 hours only) and do that there if you wish but you just might want to keep reading. First and foremost, I have obviously created eight set roles for you to choose from. The face claims listed below them, as stated, are simply suggestions that I thought fit that role. You can change them if you would like. I promise I won't hold it against you. Onto the second matter at hand; taking a role. Background:


Born and raised in a small town, Sophie had a seemingly easy life. However, being raised primarily by her older siblings, that wasn't all true. Her father was a deadbeat and her mother worked hard to support their family. As Sophie grew older, she began focusing hard on her grades and striving to impress not only her mother but her peers as well. Her older brother had moved out before her sister; both choosing to avoid college altogether. Leaving Sophie at sixteen solely in her mother's hands, she struggled through school. The kids were always so judgmental and they constantly threw pressure her way. The one time she finally gave in, things went terribly wrong and her friends began to disappear. As hard as she tried to fight this, in the end, she became damaged goods. Graduating with high honors but still no real support behind her, Sophie moved far away to pursue her dreams through university. As time passed by, she developed a friend group within her class and, though she is better now, is still struggling to accept herself.

Background:

Being from a relatively small town, Chrissy had a safe (or boring) childhood as a third generation Chinese-American. She was born to loving, but busy parents, three years after her older brother, and they were raised mostly by their grandmother who spoke limited English. Hence, she is now fluently bilingual.

Moving out of her hometown was probably the biggest change she has ever experienced. The whole university thing took some getting used to, but she eventually grew to love school and her rather diverse group of friends. Honestly, she's not ready for it all to end and (though she'll never admit it) still has no idea what she wants to do with her life.

Background:


Addy is what you would call a trust fund baby. Her family has both old and new money, placing them in the top 0.1% of the nation. As you can imagine, this gave Addy everything she ever wanted on a silver spoon. She had all the new toys, all the best parties, and all the current fashions at her fingertips growing up. Unfortunately, it wasn't always unicorns and rainbows.


At age 16, a critical time in a young girl's life, Addy lost her best friend - her mother. Her grieving father threw himself even more into his work and neglected the one thing that reminded him most of his departed wife. With no siblings to speak of, Addy spent most of her time alone. Once a social butterfly, she became more reclusive, only spending time with her pet cat, Ella, and the house staff.


When the time for college came, everyone knew Addy didn't have to go. With the money her father threw at her, along with the money set aside for her future, she would never have to work a day in her life. If she was completely honest with herself, Addy knew that she really only went to college to get away from her home and all the loneliness. A couple of times she thought she'd found a solid group of friends that cared more about her than her money, but that never seemed to work out.


Eventually she found this group and they rekindled her hope for friendship.

Background:

There are a million types of people in this world and well, Collin clearly belongs to the group of people who are just better in sports. Born with and won't ever get rid of it either. It goes from snowboarding when it's winter to wakeboarding when it's summer, basketball when it's fall and almost everything when it's spring. It's his way to deal with things as emotions or to get his mind off things. Especially when his parents started to get more into arguments, which leaded to a pretty hard year. One part of him is still glad that they're divorced but the other part still secretly wishes that they were still together.


Just a regular teen life but then with a lot of sports and a little less of school.

Known to most as 'The Gentleman'-a guy who's always acting courteous, holding open doors for ladies, and generally being your typical Prince Charming. Some people think he's a suck-up, others think that's how he picks up girls. But get to know him better, and you'll see there's a little more to it than that.


As a little boy, he say the way his father would treat his mother-coming in from work without a word of greeting other than 'what's for dinner?' before collapsing in front of the television with a beer in hand, constantly putting her down and pushing her around. Yet she would always keep a straight face-she never broke down, never yelled at him, always kind and caring. His childish mind was frustrated that she never stood up for herself, or gained the courage to leave her husband, and thought her weak. As he matured, however, he came to see that this was not the case. Her strength of will fascinated him, and he didn't doubt for a second that she was by far emotionally stronger, and he respected her immensely. The older he got, the more he would argue with his father that he should treat her well, and that she deserved someone better, until one day when he was fifteen their arguments escalated into a full-out fist fight, and he ended up in hospital. That was the day that his mother decided she had had enough, and filed charges against her husband. From having such an important female role model, and from protecting his mother for so long from the brute she had married, he instinctively is more protective of women, sometimes overly so, although he is courteous to most people.

Background:

Though born and raised in England, Joe considers the U.S. his second home. With both parents being pretty high up on the corporate ladder of their global company, the family owns vacation places in several different states. The lake house is one of them.

So Joseph grew up under wealthy parents, but also in the shadows of his older brother who was everything he wasn't - intelligent, likable, and well-rounded. Not surprisingly, childhood consisted of scrambling for people's attention in the best way he knew how, which was to cause a bit of trouble here and there. To his parents' dismay, what was assumed to be just a 'phase' lasted until high school. That's why when their more responsible son landed a major internship opportunity in the States, they made Joe tag along, hoping he would grow up a little.

Now, about to (barely) graduate university, Joseph has realized for the first time what he might want to do with his life - acting. Though of course, he could never admit this to the family. And besides, his parents are already patiently awaiting his return with a job opening at their company.

He grew up as the typical skater, surfer kid in California. Long as he wasn't gay and had good grades his parents let him keep his choice activities. His sexuality fluctuated, landing him being Bi. Still the easy going pot head has a huge heart that's willing to spread and share the love with everyone he meets.
