Tu'er Shen the Rabbit God
As he moved through the corridors of the massive tree and passed by every beautiful window, Maat noticed more and more that there were soldiers moving about in a manner that was different from their usual day to day. As he entered the Great Hall with a cautious pace, his mind ran over all the possible causes for the change in routine and each reason was more exciting than the last. What woke the necromancer fro: his daydreaming was the sound of his mentor’s voice addressing him by rank. His silver gaze focused on her form and the grace of her appearance. She and Azura were without a doubt the most fashionable of their family, but they also seemed the most graceful and the most proper. Those traits made it much easier for the mortal sorcerer to get along with the two divine beings.
“Good morning, Marshal. You needn’t worry about the tremors, they’ve become second nature to me now.” As he expected, something had occurred that required them to mobilize the troops based here in Aegrizora. Whatever the reason, Maat was ecstatic to be doing something that would give him the chance to utilize his magic. “Whatever the news, I feel nothing but despair for the enemy that faces this army.” Maat turned away from Altera and directed his attention to the soldiers that moved about with perfect form. It was evident that Altera’s hard work had paid off in overseeing these soldiers.
“Since I have a bit of free time I guess I’ll make the most of it by preparing, like the rest of them.” Maat lazily gestured to the masses of soldiers, his fingers dancing in the air momentarily. “Should you have need of me, I’ll be in the stables, preparing Apophis for travel.” As he bowed his head, Maat swept his cape behind himself and then turned away from Altera. While missing even a single moment of training was disappointing, it was more beneficial to use his skills in the field, so he couldn’t complain. On top of that he understood that Altera had a a lot of responsibility, with her brother being the way he is. Sighing softly he started headed back into the tree to prepare his things.
