Other: Situated on the River Schlöss in southwestern Rosendale, Blackford is one of the most prosperous cities in the country. It is a large hub for science, culture and education. Most importantly, Blackford is the seat of House Norwood, who have always remained loyal to the Cress Dynasty since time immemorial.


Darren was born in Blackford Castle to the (then) incumbent lord Gotfrid the Wise. Gotfrid was well known for being a scholarly and honorable lord with unfaltering loyalty to the Crown. Gotfird tutored his son Darren in the ways of leadership so that Darren could be just as competent as his father was. Not only did his father's wisdom rub off on Darren, but he also became a rather competent fighter after secretly training with the town guards for many years.


After hearing word of the Crusader usurpation, Gotfrid took the Crown's side. At the moment, he is raising his troops and prepares to march on the enemy.

Unfortunately, when the Civil War broke out in Rosendale, Gotfrid was one of the first loyalists to be killed by the Crusaders. In response, Darren inherited his father's lordship and raised the troops in Blackford, joining the fight against the Crusaders.

No, Rosendale is very much a kingdom. It, however, has a main town which operates as a trading hub, which would cause many citizens to travel there regularly.
