*Profession can be anything, though the characters will be called together in order to look for the Keys to Dtrir. Therefore many of them might be bounty hunters or adventurers, but if you have any other ideas feel free to use them.

Character Building Information

Races
  • Humans are the most common race and have an average lifespan of 70-80 years old. Their average height range is 5"7 to 6"3. Humans are the only race known to be able to use more than one magic classification but don't have high magical affinity from birth.


Magic
The three classifications of magic are "nature", "light" and "dark" magic. Each classification of magic has four distinct classes which each have their own god. While it is possible to use multiple classes within the same classification, it is almost unheard of to be able to use multiple classifications of magic. Humans are the only known race with this capability, but it is exceedingly rare.

The magic system is mainly religion based. As stated, each type of magic has it's own god, and while one may train independent from the god's following, the most powerful mages all either come from mage academies or from the respective churches of their gods.

There are seven different levels of mastery for each type of magic:

Monk
Legendary
Master
Adept
Intermediate
Apprentice


God level status is only achievable by the gods of each type of magic, and monk status is reserved for the most dedicated of their followers. Monks are all avid followers of their church and are generally age 50+. Legendary magic users are usually at least 40 years of age, and master level users are in their late 20s or 30s.

  • Oclo - The god of shapeshifting magic, Oclo is said to have over a hundred forms. His appearance is fluid and on statues he is depicted simply as a cloaked figure. Following the practices of Oclo will give the user the ability to shapeshift into any form that they desire. However, depending on the size and power of the intended form, it can take a massive level of magic mastery. For example, the ability to shapeshift into a dragon would be the power of a monk alone.

    Umes - The goddess of the elements, Umes is depicted as a barefoot woman with flames in her hair and a body made out of water. Any who follow her Order gain the ability to control one or more of nature's four elements: fire, water, earth and air. In order to control two elements one must be an adept-level magic user, and to control three one must be a legendary-level mage. To control all four elements requires a monk.

    Casoi - The god of gravity, Casoi is depicted as a man lifting a massive rock with ease, for he can control the force that attracts people to the center of the earth. Followers of Casoi can learn to either use gravity to ground their enemies, make themselves fly, or use telekinesis. Gravity is one of the hardest magical practices to follow because of the massive affinity with the earth it requires in order to manipulate the attraction between the earth and other objects. To manipulate a sentient being's gravity the rank of master is required, but one can successfully manipulate a small object's gravity from the level of intermediate.

    Aana - The goddess of animals, Aana is depicted as having the ears and tail of a fox. Followers of Aana gain the ability to communicate with animals, and also gain the ability to telepathically communicate with other humans. Additionally, many devout followers of Aana end up gaining the senses of an animal such as hearing, sight and smell. Many times, they also manifest physical features from their specialty animal so it is common for the followers of Aana to have animal ears, tails and even fur.

The characters will start on nation Agon. The main cities and capital of Agon can be seen on this map, but characters may be from other nations (feel free to make them up!). The capital of Agon and starting point for the rp will be Namzu.

Appearance
Reis appears as your typical elf; tall and rather skinny. His fingers are long but his hair is longer, and he is always dressed in some jester or bard costume. He seems to have a strong preference for vibrant colors and also has a particular fascination with shiny objects which leads him to constantly being adorned with various jewelry. He never takes off his mask when he is around clients. Every time he appears somewhere he is usually wearing a different outfit in different colors, but all of his clothes seem to be tailored to stand out in a crowd. How he gets anywhere stealthily is a secret many people have tried to crack without success.

Know it All: Reis always seems to know everything about everyone, but whether or not he shares that information with you is entirely a question of how much money you have. It is unclear exactly where he gets all his information from, but he has proven to be a reliable source for information from those who have done business with him in the past. It is said that Reis has spirits stationed all around the nation listening in on conversations, but that would take an enormous amount of magical ability and mana... Either way, Reis is the go-to man for information if you can pay his price.

Sixth Sense: Reis always seems to know when he is needed. He has the uncanny ability to appear behind you, in front of you or beside you without you even noticing that he was in the area. He has a nose for customers which allows him to conduct a massive amount of business because he can simply pop in and out of areas with little effort. Nobody has quite figured out how he does it, especially seeing that he can seemingly teleport across miles in order to appear in completely different places in very little time, but if you find yourself needing some information you can guarantee he'll be around.

Ukulele: It seems that Reis doesn't just carry around his Uke as a prop because he's damn good at playing it.

By elf standards, Ryas is a midget. While elf maturation typically takes place slower than a human's, by his teens Ryas should have at least reached 5"8, but unfortunately for the boy he did not. Whenever he encounters other elves they usually make a point of teasing him for this fact, and in retaliation Ryas began to wear brightly colored clothing with all kinds of decorations in an attempt to make up for his lack of height - his exploits into absurd clothing were much aided by his mentor's crazy wardrobe, and together the pair look like a right pair of jesters.

Sword of Creation: Ryas carries a specially crafted sword made of light, durable black metal. It can withstand incredibly high amounts of heat and seldom chips even in its base form. However, Ryas' familiarity with the blade combined with his magical abilities means that he can easily transform and mutate the blade into different shapes or reinforce it. This makes it an incredibly versatile weapon because he can shrink or expand it at will, allowing him to have a long reach but simultaneously keep on guard.

Bag of Tricks: Ryas makes a point of always carrying a medium-sized leather bag around with him. It seems like a burden to most people, especially since he refuses to carry anything in it, but in reality it is one of his weapons. The bag is filled with common materials such as scraps of metal, cotton shreds, rocks and most other things you can think of. Since creating new material using his magic takes up a lot of energy, Ryas likes to utilize pre-made objects to manipulate which saves time and energy. Therefore he is capable of quickly manifesting many different types of objects out of his bag ranging from shields to even food - the bag is not always a weapon, but when it's not it's usually being used to support himself or others.

Skills
Trickster: Trained in slight of hand and sneak tactics, Ryas can almost be mistaken for an illusion mage at times. In reality he doesn't often use magic when he's pulling pranks on people but instead just manipulates them using their environment or casual suggestion. Ryas likes to tease people and is also known to be a pickpocket at times, and his antics usually land him in trouble, but when it comes down to it he is good at manipulating people to his will or getting away with things.

Versatile: Due to the changeable nature of his sword and the possibilities given by his bag of tricks, Ryas can adapt to nearly any situation. The notable exception to this is stealth because his bright clothing and carefree demeanor render it impossible for him to get anywhere undercover, but in most other situations he excels. He can fight against one opponent or multiple with ease, and the same goes for fighting environments; he is good at fighting in small spaces, but can also deal with open areas just as well.

Duelist: Despite the fact that he is capable of fighting multiple opponents at once, Ryas' specialty is as a duelist. His skills make him best suited to focusing on a singular opponent and either fighting them outright, or playing tricks on them until they get disgruntled after which Ryas strikes. Ryas' ability to close gaps but also create space between him and an enemy allows him to get the upper hand in most fights despite the fact that his swordplay isn't exceptional.

Weaknesses
Stamina: Ryas, while possessing good speed and decent physical strength along with stores of energy, finds it difficult to maintain any of those things for extended periods of time. For one instance, he is terrible at running and tires very easily, but also finds it difficult to keep up a physically intensive fight for more than a few minutes - especially if he is using magic at the same time. Once he gets tired, he also stays tired for awhile because he also regenerates rather slowly. Some say that he's just too lazy to work hard, and while he could push himself more most of the time the fact of the matter is that he gets tired out pretty quick.

Fickle: One second Ryas might be marching into battle, and the next he'll be sleeping in his bed. Motivation isn't something that he has a lot of, and he never seems to do anything unless it's in his direct benefit. He can be pretty unreliable because even if you convince him to do something, he might not follow through in the end. He is very impulsive so if he fancies doing something he'll go to it, and if he's motivated he can be a hard worker, but unless you catch that motivation he can be hard to deal with.

Liar: As the apprentice of an informant, it is not promising that Ryas is such an instinctive liar. Whenever he feels like he's losing an argument he makes up facts to support his side, and if he wants people to do something he also is prone to making up facts to persuade them to do something. Reis is currently doing everything in his power to make Ryas stop telling lies, but the end seems nowhere in sight. This makes Ryas incredibly difficult to trust when he says things, and mistrust can lead to pretty devastating results.

Aryea has long, flowing teal coloured hair and bright golden eyes, a combination that seems to attract attention wherever she goes. Her body is toned and agile from spending most of her time foraging in deep underwater grounds and searching for ingredients. Her knowledge and ability in using shapeshifting magic allow her to take on a human form to travel on land when needed, at most for two weeks without the chance to submerge in a pool of water. On land, she typically dresses like how she does underwater, with as little heavy armour and as little fabric as possible. She enjoys having her full range of movements and doesn't understand why most regular land folks prefer to wear stifling, rough fabric that covers most of their skin. Most of her outfits are either made of flexible skintight fabric or loose flowy cloth, and her armor and accessories are adorned with shells, corals and things she finds underwater.

Background:
Aryea was an orphan left at a church of Umes in Elysia, a relatively powerful sea kingdom not far from Agon. There, she grew close to a Monk named Sae, who eventually adopted her and took her in as her own. Aryea grew up in Sae's underwater cave where Sae worked as a healer and witch, and she was taught the magic of Umes and basic water magic of Oclo to keep her mana circulating. As soon as she was able to communicate with marine animals, Sae sent her to forage for ingredients for potion-making. With the help of the underwater creatures, she was able to collect rare materials for healing items and potions. She was even taught to use a trident to defend herself on her quests. While Sae was more inclined to the teachings of Umes, Aryea held more interest towards the magic of Oclo, and spent her free time mastering a human form. As she grew older, she was allowed to venture further and further, and eventually onto land. Her fascination with the land grew, she started to train her shapeshifting magic more, hoping to extend the period of time she could stay on land. She even learned to shapeshift into a falcon, a useful form to escape sticky situations and to scout for bodies of water when she is far from the sea. She visited land healers and potion-makers and learned about their herbs and plants, and helped a few adventurers along her journeys. However, her visits were put on hold when Sae's body started to weaken, and she returned to the cave to take care of her mother and mentor. Her knowledge of medicine and potions allowed her to take over as the local Witch of Elysia once Sae finally passed on from old age. From then on, she spent most of her days in the underwater cave, tending to the locals' needs. That is, until the day she was summoned to Agon to join a group of rather....unique individuals.

Weapons:

Trident: Her trident is made of a light, strong underwater metal called Merranium, which can only be found in the various underwater caves of Elysia. Adorned with gems and pearls infused with the magic of Umes, it not only acts as a throwing weapon but also as a tool to enhance and amplify her water magic, which can prove to be useful especially at places without a water source.

Throwing knives: Small, simple throwing knives carved out of bones of the bodies of various large underwater creatures found around the outskirts of Elysia. While these weapons are not infused with magic, the sharp and durable material makes them nifty tools for self-defense, freeing one's tail from the fishnets of careless fishermen and collecting ingredients for her potions.

Skills (non-magical):
Healing items and potion-making: She specializes in making healing and other simple potions (using herbs and other natural ingredients), mostly ones that cater to adventurers and the needs of underwater folks.

Strength on Land: Being a mermaid and living underwater most of her days meant that she had to engage more of her muscles in her movements compared to movement on land. Therefore, she is slightly stronger compared to most average land folks.

Accuracy: She's adept at using most throwing weapons, including spears and throwing daggers, but her main skill still lies in using the trident.

Swimming: This skill is pretty self-explanatory. After all, what kind of mermaid would she be if she was bad at swimming?

Weaknesses:
Balance on land: She's fine at walking, but can be a bit clumsy when it comes to activities that require more advanced footwork like dancing, close combat or walking across a narrow beam.

Deydration: While she can conjure water using her magic, being away or not being able to submerge herself in a pool of water after a long period of time will drain her quickly. Long trips across hot or dry places can be tricky for her and will rapidly reduce her energy and shorten the amount she's able to use her shapeshifting magic.

Stealth: Her refusal to accept human fashion means that she has trouble blending in. From the shells and pearls in her hair, the fins on her head to her revealing clothes, and oh, not to mention the giant trident she insists on carrying around everywhere she goes. Everything about her screams merfolk, as if being mistaken for a human would dishonor her ancestors and descendants for generations to come. As a result, it's hard for her to be stealthy on land, and her inadequate balance doesn't seem to help either.

Extra:
In her human form, the fins on the side of her temples remain.
She isn't very used to her falcon form yet, and can only hold that form for a few hours at most before she has to shapeshift back into either a human or a mermaid.

Background:
Slagz was born and grew up in Namzu. As a child he spent most of his time committing small theft to survive out in the slums of the capital. He joined a group of small time thieves who used his small body to get in and out of hard to access areas without being seen. They'd pay him with a small amount of money or maybe some food and if he ever asked for more they'd either ignore or harm him. He wasn't sure if it was because he was a Goblin or maybe they just wanted to push their weight around. Their name began to grow as Slagz was actually very talented at his job. They'd be able to steal treasures, jewelry, and other various valuables then sell them on the black market. After around three years of being used by them, one day they had him sneak into a more guarded area to steal a valuable scroll. He complied though at this point in his life 'just doing what they say' had been starting to take its toll on him. When he got his hands on the scroll, instead of just bringing it back, he read it. It was a page from some tome, giving instructions on basic Dark Illusion Magic to hide his presence within shadows. He decided then and there that he'd use the knowledge he just gained to leave the group of thieves who've been using him. But he knew if he just left with the scroll they'd hunt him down so he struck first. Using the dark magic he's acquired he managed to sneak up on each member of the group he's been trapped in and kill them without any even laying their eyes on him. From that point on he became a solo act, using his skills and magic to steal anything he wanted. Whenever he heard of other magic scrolls or tombs being transported or found he would prioritize them and make plans to pillage it immediately. As a result his skills and knowledge of the dark arts grew then he became a Master of Shadows over the years, even without proper training. He made it every easy for anyone to contact him, in fact he went out of his way to prove that he could go anywhere he wanted and no one could stop him. So people would hire him to steal anything they desire and he'd accept for the right price. There were even times where higher ups or the rich would give up on ever 'catching' him and just contact him to try and buy back whatever he stole. He became somewhat of an act of nature that the city couldn't quite predict or control. Recently he was asked to attend a meeting saying his skills would be very helpful and decided to go even though he assumed it was some kind of trap.

Weapons: Dual Daggers, Throwing Knifes

  • Keen Senses (Hearing, Smell, Sight)
  • Versatile: He's adept at using anything he gets his grubby hands on as a weapon.
Weaknesses:
  • Very Greedy: Unless he's being paid for a job, he would forget about his current objective if he saw something valuable.... Can sometimes be paid off.
  • Well Known/Sloppy: As a Professional Thief he can always get the job done and steal something from right under your nose... But he'll always leave evidence behind to be found that'd scream "SLAGZ WAS HERE". It turned him into a notorious thief, something that he himself feels pride in but ultimately makes doing his job more difficult at times.
  • Cocky: Will sometimes go out of his way to taunt someone, beat them at their own game, or maybe just try to ruin their day somehow and damn the consequences.
  • Fragile: Though he's in good physical shape, he's still a Goblin. His attacks don't have much weight behind them and he could be overpowered in a contest of strength rather easily.

Profession: He is a general mercenary (a good one, though - he doesn't kill for money or anything like that), but sometimes he is hired by sailors and merchants to help their boat travel across the oceans. Not only is he a good sailor, but he can make sailing a lot smoother with his magic.

Magic Mastery Level: Legendary. He has an orange name and everything.
Magic Classification: Nature.
Magic Class(es): Water. Exclusively. So, in a way, quarter Umes.

Height: 184 centimetres.
Weight: 76 kilograms.
Background: Hailing from an island, Aguar's life has always been about the sea. However, whilst Aguar was still young, his father fell ill and his mother took him away to find a cure he moved in with his uncle. Do not get his parents wrong - they did not wish for Aguar to contract the same disease that took his father. Aguar understands it completely that they did not abandon him, and he receives visits every now and then from his mother which is definitely more than what could be said for actual abandoned children.

While his father was a governor for the island (although, now that has fallen to someone else since his father is ill and Aguar was considered too young at the time), his uncle took a more active route with the sea. He acted as a captain for a ship specialising in escorting merchant ships (in the case of pirates or even sea dragons or krakens), and as a result Aguar has learned all that needs to be learned about the sea. His mother had incredible talent in manipulating water, and with his uncle's guidance Aguar soon picked up on that ability. He discovered many things about him that the average child does not - for example, his affinity to Water magic allows him to learn it quicker, but restricts him from learning other elements. He also has incredible eyes - not just from his time as a sailor, but from his genetics.

As he grew older, however, he became more independent and began fighting in the name of good. Still, once a sailor always a sailor, so it is never long before he returns to the ocean.

Weapons: Ocean's Fury - a magical sword granted to him by his mother on one of her visits. Made from some sort of sea dragon bone, it has an affinity to water. Like him, it radiates magical energy and can be used to cast water magic (although, considering Aguar can cast more than what the blade can, it is a bit useless in his hands) if the user is attuned to the blade.
Skills (non-magical): Sailing, fishing and generally everything water related. He is a monster in the water, and would easily trounce any competition in swimming. He fights with his sword well, like a sailor used to fighting pirates, and as a result can fight both offensively and defensively with no real issue. He can balance himself incredibly well - even if the ground beneath him is moving or strong winds are fighting him - and he has excellent climbing skill. Not to mention he can track his location by the stars and other general sailor skills.
Weaknesses: He doesn't like heights or flying at all (he has a phobia of it) - it isn't a thing he is used to, and as a result can become ill from it. Blech. Due to him literally glowing in the dark, he isn't the best at sneaking around. He also dislikes deserts and other hot places, as he isn't really prepared for it. He was born with an unfortunate problem - his bones are weaker than the average person. While his bones aren't going to shatter if he were to jump off a step or something, it is noticeable in battle against, say, a man wielding a warhammer. His overall 'health' - so to speak - is also reduced. Being so in tune with water has its drawbacks, too, such as needing to drink more water than usual and suffering from dry weather with no natural water around him - due to the nature of magic, he cannot properly hydrate himself with created water.

Extra: Glows in the dark, due to his overly potent magic, but in return his eyes can see magic. He can turn into an elemental, of water (obviously), and has control over water, ice and vapour with a little weather manipulation mixed in there. He can make a savagely good seaweed stew and fish pie, which I personally think is the most important skill.

An aristocratic birth, a powerful determination. As the middle of three children, Katheryn was raised to become a lady in waiting under the Virtunis name. Her father was Cassius Virtunis, the son of a knight and a rich noblewoman, who came into prestige in order to protect Cape Lostpoint from outside powers. A lifetime ago, she was escaping tutors to steal daggers and arrows from the family armory, using them to pin the maid’s skirts and harass the household faculty. Cassius could hardly contain her wild spirit, let alone find a suitor that she couldn’t scare off. It is unfortunate that childhood doesn’t last forever. Now, having lost her father and both of her brothers to exchanges of power between some of the most influential families in Agon, she has solemnly taken her place as heir to her family’s crest. With her cousin, Maximylon Daxius to support her, she has begun a journey to rebuild her family anew before it can be ripped apart for good.

Chasme: Her family’s enchanted longsword. She carries it outwardly drawn whenever possible. Passed down from generation to generation, it was her father’s, and her brothers’ before her, and now the cursed object has found its way into her possession. Under the rightful heir, it is said to have incredible power. However, she has yet to understand or utilize the weapon beyond destroying property when seamlessly pissed off.

Katheryn exerts a presence of nobility wherever she leads. It's hard not to see it in the frigid posture and leering eyes of this makeshift jarl. This quiet aspect of her personality emulates the legacy of the noble family of Virtunis, even if nothing else does.

Maximylon has kept a watchful eye on her since they were children and where Katheryn goes, he follows, no matter the cost. An expert at defusing situations, he is able to quell even Katheryn, although her anger can be truly heinous at the best of times.

Maximylon is human, just like his cousin. They don’t have anything but sword and shield to protect against death. There is no special, undercut privilege that a noble family has over any commoner, and the two are mightily aware. Maximylon, however, sees it as his duty to die before Katheryn has the chance to.

Well aware of the fear Katheryn holds for death, Maximylon Daxius sees to it she never has to face it until his dying breath. Just as well, a good way to get to him is to go through Katheryn. Harming her, or threatening to, can make him unpredictable. There’s a chance he could submit wholly to a ransome, or throw himself into the fray full-force. Though he is more diplomatic than his hot-blooded cousin, he shares that blood, and it presents itself when his duty is called into action.

Richter was born from a human mother and a drow father.

Appearance: Vilias looks like a fairly normal Fairy of his clan. He has fair skin, and white scruffy hair that goes down to his shoulders. For the most part, he has little preference for clothing, but he favours clothes that cover more of his skin and ones that don’t draw too much attention to him. He generally doesn’t decorate himself with anything particularly fancy, however he wears a shiny necklace with a small sapphire set in it at all times – he never takes it off willingly, even when asleep. His wings are fairly large, and all of his clothes have slits in the back so his wings can be out. This can make getting out of clothes difficult.

Background: Vilias lived in the city of Elshil, and he always had a fascination with magic – he loved the stories of the strongest kinds of magic user, even if he had no real motivation to become one. That being said, his fascination led to him training once, twice, then three times a week in order to become better. Like many Faeries, he had reached the level of Adept in using Energy magic before he even became an adult – however, from then on, he decided to focus on Healing instead – still practicing Energy so he didn’t lose the skills he had, but much more of his focus went into Healing, and exploring the land. On his journeys, he found someone who had died in the frozen wastelands, presumably from the cold, and noticed an amulet with a sapphire set in it on the body. He took it, carrying it with him, almost as a sign of respect for the person who had perished. He did not have any specific plans for the future – only to improve and perhaps offer his services elsewhere – but he was summoned to Namzu to join a group.

Weapons: Only carries a dagger as a weapon.
Skills (non-magical):
Weaponry – He is a very capable combatant with a bow and hits his target much more often than not. He is also capable of using daggers, however he is nowhere near the best and primarily uses them as a way to fend off attacks while retreating so he can attack from afar. He would only use his dagger in actual combat if he had no other alternative.
Scavenger – He tends to spend longer than most people searching but has a strange habit of finding things hidden in those places. In addition, he rarely buys food as he can simply take some from the land. However, this skill is limited to logic – he is not capable of finding a tropical fruit in the snow, for instance.
Persistent – Vilias is capable of taking more pain than most people before he hits his limits, as well as just being generally persistent.

Weaknesses:
Weak Willed – He is fairly easy to convince and to lie to, and is also much more vulnerable to mind-related magic.
Claustrophobic – Vilias cannot handle being indoors for too long – he much prefers the outdoors, and so can start getting tense if he is inside for prolonged periods of time – usually around the 4 hour mark, not including sleeping. Underground, this is much worse – he gets tense much faster and will be much more likely to panic after the 24 hour mark if anything startles him.
Bouts of weakness – Occasionally, Vilias will have moments where he becomes very weak and slow. He knows when one of these is happening, and he can barely stay standing, let alone fight, when one of these happens. They can happen at any time, whether that’s when sitting down, when fighting, or worse, when flying, as he can no longer support his own weight in the air.

Extra: Vilias enjoys flying, when he doesn’t fall out of the sky.

Alexa was born into a family of criminals. Assassins.. thieves... terrorists... you name them, her family tree has it. Her mother was an assassin, and her father was a terrorist leader of the group, "Nights". As a young child, she was expected to be just like her parents and her family tree. She was often bullied for her unusual hair and eye colors. Her family and parents would not help, and shunned her.

"You should be strong like the rest of us."

Alexa never had a childhood. She was then trained to fight from a very young age. Her father expected her to take over the terrorist group one day, which is why they were hard on her. They taught her many different types of techniques. They taught her how to fight with weapons, but she preferred using her own two hands. She then discovered shortly after when she was twelve years old that she has Dark Magic, more specifically, her class is "illusion". She inherited this magic from her mother. However, because she doesn't really care for magic and prefers physical combat, she barely practices her own magic.

One day, her parents were murdered brutally by someone who claims they were "law enforcement". They wanted information from them, but her parents were too stubborn to leak any information. Since then, Alexa's life was never the same. She inherited the leader's spot at twenty years old. For one year, her and her terrorist group caused mischief and murder around town.

One year later, Alexa received a note claiming that her parents are alive and well, and currently being held in Dtrir. Blinded by any fact, she decided to seek Dtrir and bring back her parents.

Background: Her father and her mother were two of the most unlikely people to fall for each other, her father an adept explorer and her mother a loyal follower of Vydil. For one who is always out questing and one who hides away constantly to meet and fall in love was what they believed to be fate. Veronica didn't have a very stand out childhood or life, she was brought up with strong influences from either side of her parents. She learned how to use her father's weapons of choice, light metal claws and a short sword, and it wasn't long before the pair of them went exploring around undiscovered areas. This is where Veronica really built her mobility, reaction time, agility and acrobatic ability up. These expeditions always brought them to beautiful places, though usually they'd find nothing valuable- bar the first one they did where they found a small aquamarine (which she still wears as a brooch even now). Her father would always to do a sketch of the areas they'd find and Veronica would do the same as they talked about everything that had happened. Eventually drawing those landscapes became and passion for Veronica and after moving away from her parents, she opened up a shop where people would come and request sometime to be drawn for them.

Her mother was not as involved in her life as her father was time wise, but influence wise, she was far and away more impactful. They had the same temperament, the same humour, the same dress sense, the same taste in magic. Just as she fell in love with drawing, Veronica lusted after blood magic and the ability to control others. Obsessed with the ability to dominate another person so effortlessly. When she wasn't with her father, she was with her mother and the rest of the followers of Vydil in a secret cult, becoming more and more proficient with her magic with every passing day- as well as more passionate about it. Veronica also sought after, and found a place where she could practice mind magic once she had left her parent's house, the idea of controlling people mentally also appealing to her. Though not as involved with the rest of the followers of Vydil now, she still sees plenty of practice in her abilities on the solo explorations she does for her art pieces.

+ Great at drawing: Naturally, her occupation demands such.
+ Acrobatic: Has this going for her when fighting in places with many structures to move around on. It allows her to approach opponents with unpredictable and hard to read tactics as well as just increasing her mobility in general. She excels at sticking landings.
+ Agile: With an above average reaction time, Veronica has the agility to match the speed of her mind, this can make her harder to hit and make it easier for her to parry an attacker
+ Combat using her weapons: Extremely proficient with her own weapons...

Weaknesses:

~ ...Almost usless with anything else: speaks for itself
~ Physically weak and frail: As a result she cannot stand her ground in a competition of pure strength. It also limits her from using heavier weapons effectively and makes impact weapons a waste on her.
~ Short temper: Makes her harder to work with than it should be.
~Lacking versatility: Though an acrobatic foe who can freeze the blood in your veins may be a difficult one to face at first, repeated or drawn out fights will show her weakness: a lack of variation in her magic options.

~ Loves cats more she loves most than people, mostly because of that weird thing where you pick them up by their stomach and it kinda just rises...but the cat's paws are still touching the floor.
~ As a result...owns three cats.
~ Once after an expedition a while back, on a power high having defended herself from a relatively large group of thieves thanks to her blood magic, she went and had her hair dyed to the colour it is now, she thought that wouldn't be enough to symbolise her victory and went to have one of her eyes permanently changed to a purple colour. She woke up the next day to realise that she regretted her decision as they eye thing was unreasonably expensive and she didn't have much money left.

Background
Eve has no memories of her childhood. Her guardian told her that she was found in a dark forest. Her limbs and wings were almost completely gone, and it was only through the graces of the gods that she was found alive. It took the old man almost all of his mechanical and magical might, but he eventually preserved Eve's life in a mechanical body.

Eve spent the next decade of her life working to repay that man for her life. She soon learned that he was one of the most advanced technicians on Agon. He taught Eve some of his mechanical knowledge and in return she helped him run his isolated workshop. Over time she even discovered an innate connection to Pamera, letting her summon creatures that further supported their simple lives.

However, there was one thing that was always bothered Eve's master. He seemed obsessed with a certain legend, always telling Eve to search for the 'Keys.' When a decade passed and they still found no signs of what her master was looking for, he suddenly abandoned Eve and his workshop, pursuing his mysterious goals on his own. This was the start of Eve's adventure through Agon, searching for the very master who left her behind.

Nasod Drones: Eve's "weapons" are actually two summoned mechanical spirits, a small black and white drone. The white one can heal both herself and allies with the same ability of an Intermediate-level mage. It can also release bolts of electrons that target the enemy. The black one can create sturdy barriers while also periodically releasing rays of high-power energy at a target.

Mechanical Arsenal: Eve can shoot a limited amount of mana-powered blue energy from her mechanical body. She can also produce several types of different weapons and body alterations, although she doesn't know of this feature yet.

Skills (non-magical)
Technician: Eve was taught how to handle practically any type of machinery.

Analyst: Her partially robotic mind could absorb and process data and intelligence very quickly and act in the appropriate manner.

Weaknesses
Emotionless: Despite her greatest efforts Eve is quite unable to understand most emotions. She tries to practice empathy so that she can understand the heart, although she can be awkward at it.

Recovery: Due to her mixed biological and mechanical nature, Eve has difficulty recovering from damage. She can only be healed by her drone, her rather slow natural recovery, or the most advanced of healing magics and potions.

Physical Strength: If her mana is drained, Eve is rather defenseless to enemies that are willing to gradually beat their way through her tough, technologically strengthened skin.

Extra
She needs less food and sleep than normal, but needs to recharge in the sun when drained of energy.

Background:

Aside from the interest in magic, there is not a single constant in Fen’s life.
A son of blacksmith, he had wanted to practice every single profession he knew about. When his talent to magic was discovered, and Fen was taken on the training in the sanctuary of Umes, he wanted to become every single Elementalist at least twice, before his master made him choose water as his speciality.
The Element of Change was a perfect match for the young nymph. As it could take three forms easily, it was interesting enough for Fen to dive head first into mastering this branch of magic. His attunement with unsteady nature of water made him excel at manipulating it, and the boy had soared through the ranks at sanctuary, achieving a title of Master at the early age of 23.
However his unsteady attitude towards life brought also troubles on Fen. As he always tended to quickly change his mind, he often irritated his friend and family members with his erratic decision making. It has also turned him into an unreliable partner, as he romanced with any person who had managed to attract his attention – be it a daughter of a neighbour, classmates or son of the tribe leader.
That last romance went beyond the mark and Fen was ‘kindly advised’ to leave his village for some time. And so he did, quickly leaving the unpleasantness of that incident behind him and embracing the new life of adventures…
…that proved to be rather boring, until he had received a mysterious list from an individual named Reis Flan.

His tan skin is a sign of his days spent under the Sun, and the only clue as to where his people reside, far away from the watchful eyes of magic-users. His sculpted body, adorned with tattoos of his clan, is the result of vigorous training regiments designed to build up his stamina and strength as an attempt to compensate for his lack of magical abilities. The most prominent part of him that differs him from a normal human is his right arm. The bionic replacement is a product of the tech developed by his clan, and is considerably more stable and strong compared to the average human's, which proved to be an advantage when it comes to being a marksman. Other than that, he has dark hair and ember eyes, a trait which seems to be rather common in his clan.

Background:
The Dawn used to be a peaceful human clan, one that used the technology they developed to grow crops in the desert and raise various livestock. Only a small segment of the people focused on developing weaponry, people who the leaders claimed were paranoid about being found an executed my magic users. And one day, they were. It was only by a small stroke of luck that a handful of them escaped. Atlas who was merely two years old then was one of them. What remained of the clan traveled days on foot to the North of Sadu, pulling carts of whatever tech and manuals they could salvage until they reached a secluded piece of land they now call Kamut. Kamut was surrounded by treacherous lands infested with quicksand, sandstorms frequented the land. It was barren and dead except for the howling of wind and the endless sea of sand. No travelers wanted anything to do with the area hence it was never really on the maps, it was perfect. The Dawn built their new home in the desert caves of Kamut, and from there they restarted their civilization.

Ten years later, their land flourished with crops and livestock. Technology is almost as developed as it once was, and there were more people working on defensive technology than ever. They knew they'd never be able to defeat magic users, but they could slow them down, incapacitate them, create a diversion, anything to buy them time to escape. At twelve years old, Atlas was one of the apprentices to these technicians, and over time, his interest and intellect grew, making him one of the leading technicians of the group. When he wasn't developing technology, he was working on fields, building his physique and stamina, and training to shoot. It was compulsory for all youngsters of the clan to learn the ways of the marksman, as it would be the only way they could deal damage towards magical beings.

When he was twenty, he packed up his bags and left, wanting to see what was the world like beyond the desert, convinced that there were people who could use his skills, and there were. Who else better to hire to kill someone than a human who was completely off the maps. Humans who developed technology were executed to the point of near extinction, hence those who did often decided it was smarter to lay low. A sniper-toting man from the desert was the last person they'd expect. Whenever he could, he'd visit the black markets in the underbellies of the towns he visited, buying tools and materials to create new tech on the go. The inventions he made helped him evade authorities and assassins out for his blood, and the longer he didn't get caught, the cockier and the more careless he got. Until one day, he really got caught. He was tortured and taunted, with the intent to break his spirit before they killed him. When he refused to reveal the locations of his clan, his right arm was chopped off. Before they could do away with his other arm, he slammed his last sleeping gas bomb into the ground and ran away into the night. If it weren't for the kind healer who found him and healed him, he might have already bled to death.

After that, he returned to Kamut, and used the technology there to make a robotic arm with the help of his previous mentors. He'd only recently gotten used to his new arm and was contemplating to settle down in Kamut, until he received a strange yet intriguing letter from a man named Reis Flan.

Tactician: Clair is well known for her great mind when it comes to tactics. Despite her young age Clair has been renowned for changing the way one approaches war, having brought several new, critical and unique military tactics into play during her acting time in the military. Her ability to quickly analyze a situation/battlefield and develop new tactics on the fly combined with her outlook on life as well as her military feats have earned her the now infamous title of "The Invincible Lazy General".

Analyst: Clair is well known for her analytical abilities much in the same way she is known for her tactical. Both go hand in hand and Clair excels in both for much the same reason. However in saying that she is known to perhaps over analyse everyday things while off the battlefield.

Laziness: One may argue that laziness is not a skill but to Clair it most certainly is and it is a well-known fact that out off all her skill this is the one most used.

Knowlege and Speech Craft: Clair has a very high IQ for a human (not godlike but high up there) and has published several papers on military tactics and is an avid reader. Clair also enjoys debating and as such is quite skilled in speechcraft.

Leadership: No need to explain this really, she was a military lieutenant general.

Weakness
Cair is lazy. Lazy to the bone. With very little motivation for anything she does, Clair is more likely to half-heartedly approach a situation unless coaxed to do otherwise. Besides her flaw of laziness, Clair is physically weak and has little to no skill with the sword and bow. Nor magic or anything other than tactics and analyzing really. Heck even her social skills are lacking. You could say her social blade is blunt, ha get it..... no, okay. Basically, she has more flaws then she does pros at this stage.

Personality
Clair is lazy as aforementioned. She strives to achieve her goals with minimum effort and has always had a knack for finding shortcuts and loopholes to abuse. Idealistically she would like to spend her days sleeping, lazing around and realistically doing whatever peaks her interest in any given moment.

Clair is however well aware she cannot afford to do this, quite literally. As such she often finds herself doing tasks she would much rather not, such as being a part of the military. All and all Clair has a rather dry personality. She's lazy, hates working, has a hard time socializing and despite her awkwardness has no problem flirting with older guys the second an opportunity opens up. Perhaps the only interesting part of her personality is the fact she blatantly hates attractive women. Which she has no reasoning behind, or so she says at least.

She isn't a badass, shes normally abnormal. Sorry to break it to you.


Biography
Clair's history is admittedly a lot more interesting then her personality but if your expecting some magical tale of heroism then unfortunately your likely to be let down once again. However! If you sir are looking for a tale centred around a young woman who, despite what everyone thought, lead her platoon to victory several times over only to be dishonourably discharged. Well, then this is a tale for you. Gather round children!.

Clair was born into a very average family, her father was an author and her mother a baker. Clair grew up reading and in her childhood had no friends to claim her own. She read for fun, immersed herself in the world of literature to escape the lonely reality she was faced with. And well eventually she developed an interest in the military. Although uncertain as to why it was likely due to large military march she witnessed around that time. Anyway, I'm getting sidetracked here. To cut a long boring childhood story short she began reading military books and research papers made available to her/ the public. She got into chess and soon became the best in her village. Which wasn't that hard but still an achievement.

With time she finally became of age, seventeen, and upon doing so immediately set off for the capital to enlist in the military academy. It was rare for a girl to enlist in the academy but no rule specifically stated she was not allowed to do so. And after a rather long and strenuous ordeal, she finally got her place, late in the year. After perhaps a whole half of the course for her first year had been covered. None the less Clair stuck her head down and managed to pass her first year in the academy. She still had no friends and a lazy streak but she didn't care so long as she could see her education through.

And she did, with minimal effort Clair managed to just barely get by and claim the title of warrant officer, it was from there that the real fun started. You see she was given command of a small squadron of approximately ten men in total. Not so surprisingly she was given the castaways. Clair and her squad were soon dispatched to safeguard a small town on the outskirts of Sadu. The village came under attack by bandits and with Clair's leadership, her squad managed to fight back around twenty bandits without suffering any loses. Quite a feat considering they were more or less a band of dysfunctional.

Upon her return, Clair was awarded a medal of honour and dispatched once again to yet another town. This happened again and again and as time progressed Clair rose to lieutenant taking now fifty men under her command. Both Clair and her men went on to win several seemingly undefeatable forces across the continent. Clair herself became highly decorated and as you know from before eventually became a Lieutenant General. Taking a grand total of two hundred men under her control. Clair at this stage was seemingly unstoppable, invincible maybe. An "Invincible Lazy General" one could say. But unfortunately, you also know all that came to an end.

You see Clair was assigned a mission in the depths of winter last year. She was to lead her men into the Elshil mountain range and eliminate an upsurge encampment of rebels. Of course, she took the mission and everything went well that was until she returned from the mountain range having slaughtered and razed the encampment. Unfortunately for Clair she had been baited and betrayed by her superiors. The very ones who feared their seats were at risk. Clair was dishonourably discharged for "conducting a slaughter mission on her own accord and putting her men at risk as a result".

Fortunately, she was spared a prison sentence as a result of her contribution to the military and its tactics. Unfortunately, she was out of a job and now branded a traitor. With her savings, Clair managed to live a rather peaceful life free of stress and strain but with no income, her relaxing life is sure to soon come to an end. If only she could find some sort of treasure to secure her financially for life. Oh wait, she can!

BACKGROUND:
  • Metaralis is the son of a brilliant scientist renowned in Du'Rym, a secluded nation of advanced technology. Though when he discovered how to make a deadly virus while researching ways to advance the medical field by accident. Knowing that what he discovered was unethical, he had no other choice but to destroy them. This enraged the organization, and he only managed to send his son away before it was too late.
    Metaralis found refuge in the undergrounds, a criminal haven where all things illegal were legal. He was taken under the wing of a group of mercenaries because of his knowledge of chemistry and programs. He ended being trained by them until he became a mercenary of his own. Despite that, he developed a sense of justice, wanting to protect those who needed it and have no mercy for those who hurt others. The ethic of the mercenary profession is very blurry, sometimes stepping over the boundaries of legality. He is not an assassin, though, and will only kill his targets if they are criminals that need to be stopped or to protect his or somebody else's life.

  • Born of a noble and powerful family, Delastarh always felt hollow despite being able to have everything he wanted. He tried to fill that hole with parties and fun, but it only distracted him temporarily. One day, he became the target of a group of criminals trying to find leverage against his father. After being kidnapped and kept as a prisoner for a few days, he got saved by a mysterious human. That man was named Metaralis, and he was simply a mercenary who had the contract to steal things from this organization and stumbled upon him. Refusing to let him rot there, Metaralis fought the criminals and saved his life.
    At Metaralis' side, Delastarh discovered what he was searching for all his life: Adventure and excitement. He had simply gotten bored of the life of luxury. Delastarh convinced Metaralis to keep him as his partner. Since then, they became inseparable and they make an impressive duo.

WEAPON:
  • Photon Sword - The blade is made of pure energy that can cut through the strongest metal. The blade can be "deactivated" when unused to be safely strapped at its user's side. The sword also requires a strong photon battery that needs to be changed when empty.

  • Photon Pistols - Able to shoot bullets of pure energy that can pierce the hardest metal if shot at the same exact spot enough times. They still require changing the photon battery inside when it's empty, like normal ammunition.

OTHER EQUIPMENT:
  • Polarity boots - His boots are not only armored, but they are equipped with a technology called "polarity modifier". They let their user interact differently with surfaces, going from sticking to walls and ceiling, to propelling themselves into the air at a great speed to make a high jump, or to hover a few millimeters only from the ground for totally silent movements. This last one makes every step feel like walking on very slippery ice and requires a lot of practice. (It's basically like when you try to put two magnets with the same polarity together.)

    EMP grenades (5) - Small grenade-like devices that when activated creates an EMP wave that disables every electronic device in a radius of 15 meters, creating a flash of light at the same time.

    Photon cylinders, battery format (6) - Crystal-like cylinders charged in photonic energy. Used to fuel his photon sword. One cylinder contains enough energy to last 2 hours without interruption. Can be recharged with solar energy.

    Scanner - A small device that let its user scan an object or creature to collect basic information about it like its composition, magic power, and vitals. Shaped like a gauntlet with button and a holographic screen projector.

  • Multi-tool - A small high-tech device that can be configurated into many things. It has a small knife with a very hard blade, a precision laser cutter, a repair tool, and a flashlight. The battery can be overloaded to transform the multi-tool into a grenade that will explode after a few seconds.

    Medkit - A basic medkit containing bandages, two adrenaline shots, painkillers, a sterile needle, and thread.

    Photon cylinders, ammo format (6) - Crystal-like cylinders charged with photonic energy. Used as ammo for photon pistols. One cylinder contains enough energy to shoot 50 bullets. Can be recharged with solar energy.

    Scanner - A small device that let its user scan an object or creature to collect basic information about it like its composition, magic power, and vitals. Shaped like a gauntlet with button and a holographic screen projector.

    Shield generator (1) - Device that can generate an impregnatable shield in the shape of a bubble in a 5 meters radius around it. One use only, and lasts a maximum of 2 minutes.

SKILLS (NON-MAGICAL):
  • Swordmaster - He is very skilled with swords. Knows many sword techniques that he applies in battle, always trying to be unpredictable.

    Agility - Since he doesn't possess a ranged weapon, he is very agile and quick on his feet to avoid any attack from a distance.

    Sewing - He has a pretty impressive skill in sewing. Useful mostly to repair clothes.

    Technology - He is able to understand and work with almost any piece of technology he can find. Either a machine or a computer.


  • Sharpshooter - He has a very keen eye, able to judge distances, wind, and power to reach his target.
    He is most skilled in using the photon pistols that he always has on himself.

    Charisma - He has learned from a young age how to use words to his advantage, but also use his natural charm to get his way.

    He knows how to bargain, convince, and gain information through his eloquence.

    Cooking - This has been a passion of Delastarh for a long time. He likes good food and he likes making it himself.

    He can be considered a picky eater when the food is not good enough for his taste.

    Drawing - He is also very good with a pencil and enjoys drawing landscapes and creatures in his journal.

    He is always attentive to details because of that and can notice small things that other probably wouldn't.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Recklessness - Often fights without thinking about his own wellbeing. Can get into a dangerous situation without a second thought to reach
    his goal.

    Too proud - Neglects to ask for help when he needs it, trying to work hard things by himself. Doesn't want to share his burdens.


    Small stature - His physical strength is not as good as others because of it. In too close of a combat and without a weapon, Metaralis can
    easily be overthrown by somebody taller and stronger than him.

  • Fear of failing - He is very scared of failing and disappointing anybody. If he feels like he can't succeed, he can start feeling trapped and act rashly.

    Claustrophobic - Uncontrollable fear of tight spaces. Will start to hyperventilate and panic if stuck in a room or any space that doesn't let him move freely.

    Stubborn - He refuses to give up, or to be wrong. Slightly linked to his fear of failing. Can often lead to trouble when he refuses to back down.
