My Interest Check
The jewel box rules are simple. You are a person who is the heir to your kingdom, a kingdom sporting the area of Cardea. Unmarried but still in need of finding a king/queen, you were asked to take part in this program of match-making. Your appearance will change when you enter the jewel box-instead taking the likeliness of a 'jewel'. This is in hopes that no one in the Jewel Box recognizes you besides for those who work behind the scenes. Some people's appearance will change little, and others will change drastically. From body shapes to vibrant hair colors, and then adorned with accessories for the rich.

Before entering the Jewel Box, everyone is interviewed by random questions-you will not know who is asking you questions, you just answer. This will let the Jewel Box workers and watchers understand what type of person you want in love, and who you end up with at the very end. Sometimes, Jewels will be interviewed several times between breaks.

When you enter, you'll meet Moon Owl (an important NPC, or SC, played by me). He is the main architect of the Jewel Box, and the one who'll be guiding you through the whole journey. A "Hall of Fame" is located to where you spawn, showcasing all the participants who have accepted the invite. Pictures are settled into mirrors and glaze the walls, but only a shadowy figure of you remains, with your title underneath (aka your gemstone).

In the JB, the whole thing was crafted so that the viewers and citizens outside can add commentary (without you being to hear it). It was done so by magic stones, able to broadcast any film that happens in the Jewel Box. Your kingdom could be just watching, but not know who exactly you are. When defeating the challenges of truth and lie, putting up a fake name for the other jewels to see, there will come a time for this to all end. When it does, a voting happens-to see if there is a perfect match in making love. If it ties together between two people, then a grand marriage is held at the Imperial Capital, when everyone leaves the game.

There were several generations before that had married through the Jewel Box, which makes this a special occasion that only happens yearly. Nobles are expected to envision a world of love, here. However, if a contestant fails to meet a match, they will still be able to leave-but empty handed with no ring. In most times, there are no hard feelings anyway. Eventually, those who got nothing, will find support in one of the citizens and true love would just bond there. In any case, no bad ending happens here.

After being re-explained the Jewel Box rules, you are sent to a lavish palace. There are mostly open walls-and the beach side can be seen from the center. Staircases of quartz and marble, gold railings, and floral wreaths help decorate the place. A promenade. A table for dining is to be settled somewhere only after everyone is introduced. Basically an island made for these contestants. Bedroom chambers, too, are separated by gender. Females and male stones are not to be together. (This does not mean I am excluding other gender types, it's just how it goes. Non-Binary, They/Them, things like those can typically be sent to either dorm. Romance can still happen through the in-between). Thrones are lined up, and gemstones of people will spawn. Once everyone has come, the game begins. The main thing to remember is that one cannot leave the Jewel Box without proper reason, and that communication with the outside world is now impossible.

Jewels are expected to pick one another through simple attraction of the mind, not appearance-as that is only modified by the Jewel Box creators. Who will you be pulled by? A red stone...or a blue one? Or perhaps the in-between-an amethyst? It all depends on how you take this. On some nights, Moon Owl gives the contestants a chance to go on a private date. This is either won through beating others in a game, or another voting. Players are called one by one to see who they want to take out on the date, and so if two people are matched, they go out. If not...the obvious happens, and they return to their dorms. The safe guard magic of refraining from letting Jewels say their identity is removed for the pair who have voted on each other, and they will be moved with a certain suitcase or just in general will be sent somewhere in private. This is where people can say who they are, and what is said here, may not be said when back to the island.

There are magic circles on the island that help you teleport to one other location in the Jewel Box. This can be used between any gemstone, so take it how you please. A single circle only allows 3 jewels to teleport at once. Contestants, though finding love, are free to do anything in their time. Disputes might stir, humor and friends as well, and maybe even rivals to a certain trope. Anything more of challenges will be explained In-Character, as there is so much to say. It's up to you whether you accept this. Your final answer?

YES or NO?

On the first night staying in the Jewel Box, it is most proper that at night when each gemstone is in there room, they send letters. This, however, is not one for dates or sweet lullabies, but rather just a white elephant. Each Jewel will write something to another person, saying so far how they feel about them. If Jewel A sent one to Jewel B, and Jewel C sent one to Jewel B too, Jewel B will be brought 2 note cards that say something the other two people sent them. However, what's surprising to these notes, is that they will remain anonymous. Keeping one's identity to themselves 'till the very end is the key to being the star of the Jewel Box.

The Star of the Jewel Box is typically the first two Jewels falling in love, in the best way possible. This is simply determined by how far this romance goes, and by how much the watchers were entertained through the whole thing. Their marriage will be broadcasted first, and all Jewel participants are technically allowed to attend this wedding. The rewards for these Jewel Box stars is extravagant.

A Truthful Encounter is where, if two Jewels pick each other appropriately, they are sent somewhere for a date to unravel secrets - as well as defeating the challenges they face together.

Another game played on either the second or third day staying inside the Jewel Box is The Dance Above Waters. The one standing last the boat where a certain amount of jewels placed will be the winner, and able to take 2 watching Jewels on a date. Most commonly, the male and masculine Jewels participate in this game, while the agile and female Jewels await to whether they'll have a chance to accompany the winner or not. The date is taken place on a better boat, however letting secrets spill is not part of this game. The boat ride is not a secret hangout between jewels, so everyone remains silent of identity and just share a drink or two of tea. This is where one can express themselves through interests-like hobbies. The losing or left over Jewels will head back to their dorms and have free time, until the three Jewels arrive back.

If a Jewel Box Participants has, in real life, a certain disease, illness, or disability, it will drag over to where thy are now. For example, a character in the webtoon named Amethyst has never truly saw anything with her eyes before. When going into the Jewel Box, she struggles to walk around or move because her eyes are now uncovered for the time being. If one had a severe lung cancer that causes them to cough a lot, then they will even when they are transformed for a gemstone. The thing is, the Jewel Box only changes appearance, not exactly anything else-which is why personality is important here, and is the key thing for the whole game of match-making. Injuries gained inside the Jewel Box can be slowly healed with the magic stones given by Moon Owl himself.

A minor activity done just for fun is ball dancing! In the original webtoon, Alexandrite had been the one who was playing the piano while Pink Pearl, Garnet, Platinum, (Obsidian hurt her ankle) and I'm not sure-but maybe Amber too-were the dancers. However, this is more royal like those romane films of two people dancing under the moonlight. No break dancing as such, since everyone are royals.

A game for the ladies to earn a mini session with two watching Jewels of their pick, is the challenge of Mounted Shooting. Players will earn a romantic sky-bound rendezvous if they win, as well as being accompanied by two other gemstones. The contestants will ride on horseback, aiming at their targets. The one who hits the mark in the shortest time possible is the victorious. Typically, it's riding in a straight line while the target is from afar. Aiming farther is a disadvantage to being precise, but also quicker in time. So long your arrow hits the mark, you are scoring high on the leaderboard.

The second truthful encounter is played later on, but there is a subtle twist; Jewels are not allowed to pick the same people they have picked once before in the last pairing for the truthful encounter. This way, all gemstones get to communicate with everyone at least somehow. Those who fail to find a match will rest in their dorm rooms, and have a free day.

Spot the liar, another game-but to find secrets without being in a truthful encounter. Everyone will choose a card, and whoever picks the joker, becomes the 'liar'. Each Jewel will have a turn to ask everyone a question (through rounds), which everyone also has to answer. Which means the liar has to say anything but the truth. And after one full round, the one who asked the question has the duty to vote on who is the liar. If the liar loses, they drink a penalty drink. If the accusationer loses, they drink it instead.

EX.) Amethyst asked the question, Alexandrite was the joker, everyone answers, Amethyst votes Garnet instead, she drinks the penalty drink. But if she voted Alexandrite, which means she's correct, Alexandrite drinks the penalty drink.

If the guesser and everyone else has no idea who it is though themselves since it isn't widely open in the air, everyone votes to see who is the Liar instead. If everyone votes and gets it wrong, everybody but the liar drinks the penalty drink.
