Realistic or Modern The Hunters ((Not realistic, just modern))

Hi everyone, this is kind of an interest check/brainstorm, but hear me out. A group of specially trained people tasked with retrieving legendary items such as The Magic Mirror, Excalibur, and Poseidon's Trident. While I haven't really thought this out too much with a little tinkering there might be a diamond in the rough. (:

I'd be interested. It'd be cool if we were equipped with lesser artifacts that grant us abilities and such in our exploits. Maybe things that can fit into the mythos but are obscure enough to have some creative flexibility.

I always loved the concept of combining reality and things like well known mythical creatures or fairy tales. So far I've only seen this done by two book authors but the results were great. Needless to say, I'd be interested.
