The Human and the Arvion

Shumei looked around him, there was no one there and it was raining. Unlike how it might seem on the outside Shumei didn't like abandoning people outside, especially not after he walked over to talk to him first. He was far from anywhere curious why he didn't have a home, as he did not wish to get involved and sighed. "I live a few blocks down this street, if you follow this road you'll find it. It's only a few minutes away. You can stay there. It's repayment for helping me out earlier," Shumei said as he turned around and began walking towards the park with his hands in his pocket. "Oh. The key is underneath the cat statue, just lift it up. I'll be back soon," Shumei told him as he continued to walk towards the park after his book.

Ian blinked, he wasn't exactly hoping for the human to be so kind to him, especially after his father attacked him. He stood up, "Wait...are you sure you don't need your coat? I-Its raining pretty badly," he said, pointing at the sky. Usually when it rained like this, he wouldn't be able to fly, but at the current circumstance, he couldn't fly at all, so it wasn't like it mattered wither or not he had a jacket.

Shumei turned around to face the Arvion again, as he shrugged to his question. "I'll manage," Shumei answered shortly before he pointed down the street so the Arvion would walk the right direction as there were more streets than one he could follow. "You just follow that road. There's some clothes in my closet if you want, but they are probably too small. You can go ahead and take a shower if you want too, and some leftover food in the fridge. I'll just go and fetch my stuff," Shumei said to the Arvion as he turned around yet again and continued walking in the heavy rain as he made his way over to the park.

Instead of following the human's directions, Ian got up, and followed him, curious as to why this boy even cared about him, "If I may ask, why exactly are you being nice to me?" he asked, a little unsure of how he sounded, he didn't want it to seem as if he didn't need the help, because in all reality he does, because now his father disowned him, calling him a coward, then flying back to his supposed mother. Who probably won't care that he's gone.

"No the... never mind," Shumei said as he continued to walk off towards the park in the raining, as he progressively made his way there, ignoring the rain that kept dripping down on him. "I don't like being indebted to anyone. It's bothersome," Shumei answered shortly to the Arvion's question as he arrived at the park and quickly ran over to his small leather shoulder bag and carefully opened it, he took a thick, but small book out of the bag and carefully examined it, as he smiled seeing that it was undamaged by the rain. "I got my stuff. You ready to go now?" Shumei asked him, as he began walking back home, without saying another word.

Once they came to a small house, where a small cat statue was placed on the porch, Shumei opened the door and walked inside, letting the Arvion go first, as he did have some manners. Instead of saying anything, Shumei placed his wet bag over in one of the corners of the small entrance way and walked inside.
"I'll find you some clothes. Go ahead and take a shower," Shumei said to him, as he walked off into one of the rooms to the left, but only after gesturing to the door next to his bedroom, where his bathroom was located. He quickly disappeared into the room and began rummaging through his clothes, not too quickly as he made sure to change out of his own clothes first. I wonder why... why he saved me... I should ask, but it'll become bothersome. Won't it? Shumei thought as he found a large black sweater and a pair of sweat pants, as that was the only thing he found that could fit the large Arvion.

Ian nodded at the command and walked to the bathroom, and hopped into the shower, though at first the water hurt his wings, as they were still sensitive, but he soon got used to it. I wonder why he's being nice....its not like I did something that someone else wouldn't.. he thought to himself. He finished cleaning up, and noticed some clothes on the counter, he quickly got changed into them, and walked back into the main room.

He looked around the small house, then at the human,
"Its a rather small house.....do you live with anyone else?" he asked, raising an eyebrow, as he continued to look around, though at this point he had realized he hadn't introduced himself, "Oh, and my name's Ian Alexnder Williams,"

(he changed his last name xD )

(A sudden name change huh? xD Why Shumei look a good idea! xD )

Shumei was standing in the kitchen heating up some leftovers in the microwave for the Arvion, as he was anything, but hungry and simply wanted to continue to read the book he was reading in the park, even though his hair was still dripping wet Shumei completely ignored it, except from the feeling that he was getting a bit cold. "I don't. I live alone, it's bothersome living with others," Shumei answered the Arvion as the microwave finished, and Shumei placed the bowl of leftovers on the counter for the Arvion to grab, as he decided to introduce himself. "I'm- I'm Shumei..." Shumei stuttered, as he preferred not to introduce himself, but keeping it to first names should be enough right? It wasn't as if he didn't already know his last name, and if he didn't Then it was better that way.

Ian noticed that Shumei's hair was still soaked, and moved the towel from his own hair, and put it on Shumei's as he ruffled it around a bit, a slight smile on his face. He then moved to the counter and picked up the leftovers, and took a bite, "If you don't dry your hair, you'll get sick," he said simply before taking a seat at the table and continuing to eat, being careful of his wings, and yawning slightly. "Also, I'll try to be out of here by tomorrow,"

Shumei did not expect the sudden closeness from Ian as he approached him, as Shumei closed his eyes. Embracing himself for the hit, the only reason why an Arvion would get close to him was to either hit or kick after all, but instead he felt something soft fall over his wet hair, and then a couple of gentle and warm hands ruffled through his dark crimson hair, making Shumei's cheek blush, even though the towel luckily hid most of it. "I- I know that...!" Shumei insisted, as he kept hanging there with the towel over his head, refusing to look at Ian as he continued to walk over the couch.

"I- I can take the couch... Y- You take the bed..." Shumei stuttered out, still refusing to look at Ian as he simply occupied himself by walking over to his bag, and grabbed out some of his unfinished homework, it was quite late, but he skipped class and therefore didn't have time to do his homework. He could not sleep right now anyway, so doing some homework wasn't a complete bad idea as he walked over, and sat on the corner of the couch, still letting the towel cover his red hair, as he began doing his homework in silence.

Shumei did not notice that Ian came closer as he was being dragged into the world of 'homework' as Shumei was a hardworking person whenever he decided to be so, but when Ian talked he jumped up and fell off the couch, realizing that Ian's arm was touching his as he fell onto the floor, making his face even redder than it was before, as he grabbed the pillow from the couch and covered his face behind it. "T- That scared me! Y- You shouldn't g- get so c- close t- to me!" Shumei complained as he continued to hug the pillow, refusing to show Ian's his flustered face as he was unsure if he was blushing due to the fact he actually fell out of the couch in front of him, jumped up at least a few meters before falling off, or the fact that he was now blushing.

"I- It's o- okay... Y- You just startled me..." Shumei excused for his sudden outburst, as he hesitantly let Ian help him back on the couch, as he continued doing his homework, before he very quietly muttered out, barely something Ian's ears could pick up after all. "W- Why... why did you help me... back there?" as he was really curious, but he did not look up from his homework, as his cheeks were still red and the towel was no longer hiding his red cheeks, but he did not realize this as his head was already spinning. It did not help that they were sitting so close either, Shumei had never in his life been this close to anyone in his entire life, and now they were literally right next to each other. What did people do in this situation? Was he suppose to talk more? No, he couldn't do that, he was a bad talker. Maybe they were suppose to do something? But that was too bothersome, when did he become so social awkward?

Ian barely heard the boy's question, but he smiled when he understood it, "Because, no one deserves to be hurt for no reason," he said, leaning back against the soft couch. He didn't actually know why he had saved the boy in the first place, but he figured it was something along those lines.

Ah, I see. Maybe he really doesn't know about who I am then? Maybe if I provide him a reason he will hit me? I was really waiting for it, but then again... maybe I shouldn't. It's a bad idea to make him want to hit me, he's staying over after all. Shumei debated with himself as he decided against telling him his last name, as Ian was now out of his vision zone, due to him being blind on his right eye, and had to turn his entire head to see if Ian was still there, before he closed the book and walked up, picking up the towel and put it in the bathroom. "You should go to sleep. It's late," Shumei said and grabbed his book that he had fetched from the park, only to place it on the table where they were sitting, as he once again seated himself on the complete opposite side of where Ian was sitting, distancing himself from him.
Jack looked down to his cellphone, before he quickly looked back up. It was another one of those days where he had to check in on the stubborn brat of his, honestly, why didn't he just go himself? He let out a loud sigh, as he put the cellphone back into his pocket, staring up at the house as he saw the characteristic cat statue standing in front of it. Jack was not high enough in the ranks to know the boss' hiding place, but he was high enough to be in charge of checking in on the brat, having him under his surveillance at all times was starting to get annoying, as the brat was anything, but grateful for his services too.

"Hey, Shumei. Have you eaten yet? I saw that you- What the-?!" Jack asked as he opened the door and entered, as he walked inside to see an Arvion next to Shumei, and quickly found the gun out from his pocket, and aimed it at Ian. "GET AWAY FROM HIM YOU FREAK!" Jack shouted towards Ian, as he gestured for Shumei to move out of the way.

Ian's head snapped up from the book he happened to be reading, and he found that there was a gun aimed at him. He looked at the man, with a look of both fear and anger. Just because I'm an Arvion doesn't mean I'm a freak dang it! he stood up, and walked closer to the man, "You assume that just because I'm of a certain race that I am a freak?" he asked, pushing back his fear as he looked at the man with an accusing look on his face.

"W- Wait!" Shumei stood up and walked over to Jack. "Jack, you're not suppose to-" "SHUMEI! Did he do anything to you? Did he hurt you? Do you hurt? Get closer Arvion, and I'll shot you. No feathers, or feathers... this bullet will go through your brain without one problem," Jack said as his gun was aimed steadily at Ian's head, his eyes were icy cold as if he was ready to shoot at any second. "Jack would you just-" "Shumei, don't look. This might become ugly," Jack once again interrupted him as Shumei sighed and then maybe the only sign of anger spread across his face as his eye slightly twitched.

"JACK! LOWER YOUR GUN! HE SAVED ME LIFE!" Shumei shouted, as his vocal chords actually hurt as he had never in his life ever shouted so loudly for anyone else, not even as a child. "S- Shu..." Jack could not even finish his sentence as he had never heard the boy ever snap, and even less for an Arvion. Jack knew more than anyone else what those Arvions had done to Shumei over the past, and now one was protecting him? He could not deny the boy as he lowered his gun, not pulling the trigger, but his hand was still on its hilt. "Saved you, you say? Then did those Arvions back at Winston SAVE YOU TOO?!" Jack yelled at Shumei, as he ruffled through his brown hair confused, before he looked over to Ian.

"I'll let you off easy. If I see you tomorrow, this bullet is going through your head. With or without Shumei's permission," Jack warned him, before he stormed off outside, sitting inside his black van watching outside the house as he slammed the door angrily after him. Shumei sighed and looked over to Ian, rubbing his arm a little bit as he looked over to Ian with his one Emerald eye. "Sorry, I thought I had lost him..." Shumei explained, not wishing to talk more about the encounter.

Ian didn't move, but instead sighed, "I don't understand why just because I'm an arvion, I'm not a person. I don't understand, and I don't like it," He didn't understand, not in the slightest. He didn't like it, but he's learned to deal with such issues.

"Don't mind him, he's born dumb," Shumei excused Jack as he walked over to his window to see the van standing outside and sighed, as he drew the curtains in front of the window. "Do not think about it. He has some bad history with Arvions, something he cannot look past. He puts everyone in the same bag. Those who judge are complete dumb people, just ignore those weirdos," Shumei reassured Ian as he let out a large yawn and stretched his arms, looking at the clock as it was quite late and he could see small glimmers of the sun rising in the horizon. "I'll be going to bed now. I'm sorry about the... Jack thing..." Shumei excused Jack as he looked outside, glaring over to Jack. It's not as if he's mad about something he experienced... I don't get that weirdo... Shumei thought and sighed.

"I'll be going to bed now. See you tomorrow, there is more food in the fridge, if you're hungry tomorrow," Shumei said as he walked over to the couch, putting the blanket over himself, and the pillow underneath his head, closing his eyes. Tomorrow Jack would drag him over to yet another secret meeting place, all because Shunichi, couldn't leave him alone. Honestly, it was just becoming more and more troublesome... If only he could leave him alone. Though, he had yet to find out what his father wanted. He hadn't been dragged to one of those meetings in forever, and he prefered it if it was that way. Even that Arvion Leon had attacked him earlier... why was his life becoming so troublesome now?

Ian sighed as he stretched, accidentally moving his wings in the process, which hurt way more then he let on. He winced very slightly, and turned around, "Night, and thank you for letting me stay here," he said, as he walked off towards the room.

"Night, and... no problem," Shumei answered, as he closed his eyes and then turned around, looking once again outside to see the bothersome black van's silhouette and turned around to face the couch once more. It was troublesome, everything, but maybe if he met his father, he would finally be left a bit alone. Then there was the other Arvion, and he still had to find a way to deal with that one, but that could wait. It was bothersome thinking about it too much, and he wanted to sleep. It was soon going to be morning, and he had to skip school yet another day. It did not matter, he only had Algebra tomorrow, and he was going to skip that anyway.
