For some nine hundred years, the Hegemony has maintained the Human Sphere of influence. Wars are constant, burning through the Hegemony with amazing rapidity, springing up as fast as they are put down. The Hegemony consists of a efficient form of military dictatorship, in a sense. Planets are nothing more than client states that receive protection and promises in exchange for resources. As long as the resources flow, internal politics are left alone.
Through it's prosperous leadership, the Hegemony has expanded all the way to the Orion arm, starting to push into the core of the galaxy. But every golden age is built on blood. First contact was disastrous, leading to a war that took trillions of lives, and the genocide of an entire species. Civil unrest has time and time again split the Hegemony apart, only for the state to reform itself with sheer military might.
Now at the height of it's power, with no end in sight to the growth of the State, The Hegemony is seeing another outbreak of unrest in the Core Colonies. Planetary rebellions, outright mutiny and open destruction of what the Hegemony stands for. The situation requires rapid and swift action, that is where the Hegemony's finest come in to play.
You, are part of the Spaceborne Infantry, 101st Combat Battlegroup, assigned to S415E - Otherwise known as Sagan Sector. You are part of an elite team known as Striker Blue. The best, the brightest and most resourceful troopers the Spaceborne infantry have to offer. Your job? Halt the growing wave of unrest in it's tracks, otherwise...the deaths of billions lay on your shoulders.
Remember, trooper. Failure, is not an option.
