The Happiest Place on Earth

First post is up, everybody! Please make sure you're following this OOC thread and enjoy!
Hey guys, I feel like we should stop after our next posts until @Karma200 and @Misunderstood Hero are able to put up their starters, that way they don't have a ton of stuff to read once they get online. <3

Ah, yeah, that'd probably be nice of us. @Misunderstood Hero is working right now but she'll be off in a few hours (but then we have dinner with my parents) so she might be able to post after that?

That's fine! No rush at all. Did you want to put out another post, Renn, or shall I just reply to Lori's real quick?

It's your call! I'm cool with waiting. It's always one of my pet peeves when somebody starts an RP and when I get online there are a ton of posts already.

mm-hmm. So I was kinda just gonna pause until they got their starters in if that's okay with you.

Indeed! There are three bedrooms on the first floor (for the guys) and three on the second floor (for the girls). When you walk through the front doors of the house there's a spacious living area, with a kitchen off to the right. Right now, most of the characters are in the living area, so you'd see them as you're walking in. I may draw out a map.

Does anybody else think we should make our posts in rounds? By that, I mean that we all post one at a time. I just can't stand when I'm in the middle of a post and somebody else posts so I have to go back and edit, ya know? Anyway, it's just a suggestion!

I... both do and don't? Having a posting order does help with the 'writing then having to fix' problem, but it also leads to inactivity if someone isn't online or some such, yanno?

This site has the benefit of letting us know when someone posted the moment they did with the alert system without us having to refresh before posting to make sure we're not contradicting something so I think it's probably easier just to post?

...that being said I totally know the problem of having written a post and then having someone else's post pop in before you hit send and having to change things up (had to do that with Trent's starter, actually - had it written and was ready to post and then had to change, well, everything about it) but it's generally not too much of an inconvenience?

...if we're worried about it (writing a current-post-sensitive reply or something where having someone else post might really mess us up) we could always post a quick message here saying 'Hey I'm typing up my reply could everyone wait for me to get it up before posting'?

Do you think that would work? I know I'd respect a request like that and as long as someone doesn't say that and then take days to post it should be fine, right?

...idk, just my perspective on it. What does everyone else think?
I'm assuming everyone got some sort of sheet giving the names and characters of the people they'd be staying with? Given that people are generally told who they're rooming with in dorm situations, and in live in housing like this with a shared common area they're generally told who the other tenants are?

If I'm wrong let me know and I'll edit Trent's post.
Waiting on Trent's until everyone is downstairs since Doré and Nick should be back soon.
@Lori Williams - just so you know, Doré said hi to you while you were up in your (well, their) room.

Hey Lo, shall I reply or do you want to edit? x
I'm holding off on replying until everybody is in the front room so they can do a name game type thing, if that's okay. I'm gonna have the boss man come in after that to go over some ground rules and such.

similar. I've gotta get Doré down there but Trent'll be taking a break until everyone is down.
Okay, I gotta conk out because I've got an early start tomorrow. G'night, all~

I'll post. Just gimmie a minute!
Argh, I have to work. I promise I'll get a post up by tonight. I promise, come hell or high water, a post will be there.
