As for her casual wear: She wears a black long sleeve shirt with a pink skirt and white fuzzy boots. She will also sometimes wear a white vest. When going swimming, she wears a pink one piece swim suit. An interesting note is that in her casual and swimming outfit, her dog ears and tail are exposed, yet no normal human finds it odd due to believing them to be part of a Cosplay of hers.


Personality: A brave, yet silly girl who bites first and asks questions later in a fight. She always tries her best to be intimidating, but her short stature tends to be the opposite; Basically cute. She has high affection for her Owner, as well as any person she meets, viewing them as people to become friends with. She also is very excited when she receives a present. She has a secret crush on her owner, but she ties to hide this fact due to her job, which she is highly devoted to; Protect her Owner from anyone that wishes harm. Because of this, she can't truly tell her owner her feelings, due to fear of breaking her owners heart if she died.

Likes: Games, presents, keeping her hair clean and brushed, headpats, kisses on her forehead, licking people she likes, running around to stay in shape

Dislikes: Getting her hair dirty and messy, small reptiles, larger creatures

Primary Weapon:
The Mizukiri Ken - A Sword that Inutsuyo uses in combat as her main Weapon. It is surprisingly sharp to the touch along the blade, and is impossible to break.

Bite - Yes, she considers this a main weapon of hers. Inutsuyo Bites an enemy whenever the chance pops up, such as if the enemy has her in a grapple or choking hold, or the enemy was not expecting her to do so when getting into CQC. Her bite isn't that painful though, and it actually tickles more than it draws blood.

Secondary Weapon:
Double Bladed Kunai - A small off hand weapon that can be thrown like a boomerang, which returns to the owner after hitting/missing the target it was used on. It can also be used for two weapon fighting (Three if we count her non-lethal bite).

Special Ability:

Mizukiri Ken - Not only is it the name of her signature weapon, but the Mizukiri Ken has an ability in itself, which is to slice through water and create a path for running between the split water until the user is on the other side. The ability is also able to slice through other forms of water as well, including storm clouds and beings made up of mostly water/liquid (that isn't a mundane person or creature. Basically, she can theoretically kill a Storm Elemental or cut through a tornado.)

Combat Doctrine:
This is an brief summary of how Inutsuyo fights. When engaging the enemy, she fights them head on, with sword drawn, and only using the double bladed kunai if the opponent is far away, or the opponent is using multiple weapons. Her Mizukiri Ken (Attack) is used only in special situations, such as if the battle is underwater and the opponent is a highly adept swimmer (Think of a very fast living torpedo for a better comparison.). By cutting off her opponents swimming ability, it will be a fairer fight. The Mizukiri Ken (attack) is also saved for any enemy with a liquid body, or semi-liquid, such as a Kappa (Head full of water) or a slime creature.

Extra:

Inutsuyo refuses to believe she is an 'Adorable Maiden/Ball of Fluff'. Anyone who calls her that gets the slap to the face and is immediately called an Idiot.

Inutsuyo enjoys eating Pocky. It reminds her of chewing on sticks... And before you ask, considering she can only be killed by a Yokai, chocolate won't poison her, but it might give her a tummy ache if she eats too much.

Inutsuyo is a Tsundere to her owner, considering she has romantic feelings towards him/her, but she denies it whenever the Owner is complimenting her, or petting her.

Current Story: Steve lives in Tokyo with his twin sister Christina, who is typically called either "Chris" or "Tina," their younger brother Keith, and their parents, Ezekiel "Zeek" and Akane (nèe Fujioka) Freeling, who are surprisingly understanding of Steve's situation as a caretaker. They live in a decent-sized, thankfully pet-friendly, house that has a guest bedroom. He plans to go to college after graduating from high school.

  General Appearance: In human form Emi is a slightly tanned girl, having some curves in the right places with big eyes that could soothe someone´s soul. She doesn´t particularly follow the trends that are going on, but instead wears what she feels like that day, be it sporty, girly, tough-looking, etc. She has muscles but they don´t show as much due to her human body type, one definitely shouldn´t underestimate her. In school, she´s always in the top three when it comes to sports. If she were to wear her shinobi gear, it would look something like this: x.

  Personality: Emi is free-spirited and typically good-natured with people. She is athletic, playful and light on her feet. She loves being outdoors and requires significant daily exercise, especially in cold weather. If something catches her interest and she isn´t bound by something, she will surely run off. The friendliness and affection of her makes her a good companion for people of every age. In addition to her master, this friendliness often includes strangers and other dogs. Conversely, she has an independent temperament and is not always so eager to please. She can be very wilful at times and must be consistently shown that her master means what they say.

  Primary Weapon: Spear: Lancus – Standing at a height of 6 feet, this weapon is chosen by Emi as it matches her the most out of all weapons. The entirety is made out of steal which makes it difficult to hold for those who aren´t used to this type of weapon. Due to the amount of yokai she had slain with it, a piece of those souls seem to be trapped in it. Making it some kind of cursed weapon.
  
  Secondary Weapon: Gauntlet – For when she is forced into hand-to-hand combat, she can use the gauntlets to get more impact in her punches. It´s also better for defending her master when they´re surrounded so she wouldn´t hurt them with her spear.
  
  Special Ability: See Through World – The ability to foresee the opponent´s attack while showing no battle spirit and sense of blood-lust, gaining immunity from anyone who can sense these. In this state, her movement intuition and evasion speed increase dramatically. (The downside from it, she can only see it 1 second before it happens, so that means she can´t see everything that´s happening at once.)

  Hakkenshi name: Yazawa Shinu, Shinu, Shinu-inu
  Alias: Shinigami - more of a play on his actual name, "Shinu." His interpretation was combining his name with "Inugami," a dog god. Making, Shinigami - Shinu the Dog God. This wasn't interpreted in the way he imagined for obvious reasons. He was instead known as the death reaper. He still thinks he was clever for coming up with the name to this day. Everybody else's interpretation is wrong! As silly as his interpretation is, Shinu was a frightening shinboi back in the day.

  When Shinu isn’t wearing his shinobi gear, he looks just like any high school kid. It is hard to believe that an innocent-looking boy has actually slayed many yokai to include yokai possessing humans. If he wasn’t actually a good person, then his face would be extremely deceiving. Shinu wears studs along the shells of his ears, has a mop of messy blonde hair on his head, and eyes like the sky. His canines are a little longer than a human’s, and he can always be seen wearing a bright smile on his face. The usual clothes he chooses to wear to fit into human society are loose and baggy clothes—T-shirts, cargo pants, basketball shorts, sneakers, boot-cut jeans, hoodies, and beanies.

  Shinu is outright friendly and a prankster. He can catch people off-guard by being there one moment, and then suddenly not being there. As a dog, he can be pretty energetic—running all over the place and bouncing off furniture and the walls. Humans would see him as being hyperactive, but he is actually training his parkour. Some Hakkenshi feel belittled eating out of a dog dish or even eating dog bones and kibble. Shinu, on the other hand, will openly stand among his peers with a bag of dog kibble in his hand, shoveling mouthfuls of the stuff into his mouth as though it is popcorn. While he likes actual human food, he isn’t afraid to eat dog food or try new brands. He loves the stuff!
  
  Shinu likes to talk to other dogs and use his training to chase down and catch cats. He typically enjoys games of fetch, which allow him to run and train his reflexes. He likes to keep in shape, and so when he isn’t running around, he will often go somewhere quiet to meditate.
  
  Shinu’s spirit bead is Chu because he will go into combat and challenge inescapable odds in order to protect his lord or lady. If tasked to keep a secret, he will take the secret to his grave. He is loyal to his friends and will help them if they need him. Unless they argue with him about his alias, joking!
  
  Shinu likes kibble, dog treats, meat, fetch, running, being pet, pranking others, chasing cats, and meeting other dogs.
  
  Shinu dislikes yokai, anyone who threatens his lord or lady, being put on a leash or chained up in a backyard, and cats.

  Primary Weapon: Twin Swords: Kiba and Tsume – they are both katanas of wakizashi length. This ancient steel has bathed in the blood of devils and will glow a bright red when their demon-slaying potential is awakened.
  Secondary Weapon: Kunai – Shinu will throw these at enemies to catch them off-guard or embed them into surfaces, using them to scale higher ground or post along walls. He can tie the rope to the ring and use it to grapple from one area to the next, or as a weapon to sling and whip at enemies.
  Special Ability: 悪魔の目覚め (Akuma no Mezame!) A black pool appears before Shinu, and he will stab his swords into it. Upon drawing them out, the blades will glow crimson, receiving increased damage to yokai. If he was facing a tough-skinned demon before, after using this ability, the demon’s tough hide will be torn asunder.

Alias: Tsuki no Inu (Dog of the Moon): This nickname came from his special attack which resembles a crescent moon.

General Appearance: Inugiichi prefers to blend in with the humans when in his human form. Looking like a high school student, he has his own school uniform. Despite not actually attending school, it's just to blend in of course. Besides that, he keeps up with the latest fashion trends and dresses accordingly. His particular style includes darker colors, usually black or shades of grey. If he's feeling spunky he might even wear navy blue. Inugiichi likes to keep it casual with jeans and tees. He wears simple dark green studs on each ear and usually has a ring on each hand, nothing too fancy though.

Personality: Stoic and observant, Inugiichi considers himself the perfect guard dog. He doesn't need to try to be intimidating as his never-ending glare seems to accomplish that regardless. He would prefer to be off by himself as he's quite independent, but he does revel in attention every now and again. Inugiichi is terribly blunt and often seems oblivious to how certain things come out of his mouth. Along with that, he doesn't have much of a sense of humor either. But, he does try to crack a joke every now and then. While he isn't the most playful of the Hakkenshi, he's still very active and prefers to keep busy. Inugiichi would prefer a game that tests his mental capacity as well as his physical. He's keen on agility and obedience, finding the most joy in agility courses, protection work, and even scent work. Along with the physical demands of those activities, he also has to remain in sync and take cues from his lord/lady. Inugiichi isn't particularly friendly. At least at first. He isn't aggressive in the slightest, but will certainly bite if he's told to. While Inugiichi isn't the easiest to befriend or get to know, he has a soft spot for those weaker than him. Whether it be something as small as a hamster, he's certainly swooning over them on the inside. He knows cute when he sees it. Last but not least, Inugiichi can be incredibly picky when it comes to food. Rather childlike, he'll starve himself before eating a vegetable and refuses most kibble. He's very fond of blueberries though.

Inugiichi likes meat, guarding, training, praise, and well-deserved naps on the couch or his favorite dog bed.

Inugiichi dislikes strangers, yokai, leaving his territory, vegetables (especially pumpkin), and when his lord/lady must leave.

Primary Weapon: Jumonji Yari: Kyoudo -- A long cross-shaped spear with the character for "duty" carved into the blade. When in combat the character glows emerald green.
Secondary Weapon: Shuriken -- Inugiichi finds these throwing stars the best for all his long-range needs. He's quite skilled with a long-range weapon, even able to get them to curve around trees or other obstacles.
Special Ability: Shi no Mikazuki (Crescent of Death): Inugiichi swings his blade in a half-circle either side to side or up and down which emits a wave of energy sharp enough to cut down many opponents at once in a single direction. The energy wave is green like the character on his blade.

With this boi's hair, but like, brownish?

He's got a thin frame. Like, skin and bones. This child be tiny. He also prioritizes comfort over style to a degree, like he'll be wearing baggy jeans on a hot day rather than shorts 'cause he's self conscious, but he also gets cold like super easy so he'll be wearing this big bulky coat while everyone else is wearing a light autumn jacket or something ridiculous like that.

Personality: Marcel is, to be blunt, very shy. He doesn't talk much to anyone unless necessary. He has very few friends, and even then to them he doesn't speak much. This doesn't mean he hates people, though. He actually desperately wants to be more likable, but has trouble getting over his fear of looking like a fool. He cares a lot about the people around him, too. He does his best not to assume things about people or make them uncomfortable, though he doesn't always succeed in this.

Likes: Soft background noise, like people chatting, the rustling of tree leaves or pages turning, or gentle wind blowing snowflakes against the window. Winter, when he can curl up into a soft, warm blanket in the living room at 10:46 at night, watching from the window as snowflakes slowly fall under the streetlight and join the faint white blanket already forming. That feeling of half consciousness as he drifts off into the land of dreams. His lazy little sack of fur affectionately called Cheese, who spends most of her time liquified on the couch.

Dislikes: Loud, cacophonous places that make you want to take each individual person and punt them into the stratosphere. People getting too close/invading his personal space. Most domesticated birds. Blueberries. Swimming.

Talents: He knows some basic sign language as he has a close cousin who is deaf. He's good at math. He's fairly clever as well and is fairly good at reading people.
Favorite Subject: He really likes English(the foreign language) and literature classes. He also kind of likes class.

Current Story: He's not sure what he wants do just yet. He's been considering a literature major, but that doesn't quite feel right. His parents are separated, but only for the reason that they just, don't think they're right for eachother. He lives with his mom full time while his dad lives just down town. Marcel sees his dad multiple times a week. He lives in a fairly small, pet-friendly apartment in the outer-edges of the city. Adding a dog to the family could begin to make things a little cramped, but they could manage.

Extra: Cheese is a cat, if you couldn't tell. And yes, this is the same character I created for Sublime. I kind of liked him, though, so I thought I'd de-age him for this one ouo.

Edit: forgot to add, he's an exchange students from Minnesota, US. He'll be attending this school 'till the end of the school year. After which he may apply for a second year, but it's not certain he will be accepted(if the second part's not cool with you I can just cut that out np)

General Appearance: Refer to picture.

Personality: Overly serious, Kodama Shuko does his best to not just survive but thrive in what he does. And though he is met with varying success, the drive to succeed has propelled him far enough to at least pass each year. The fact that he isn't always on top doesn't anger him, though, it just makes him dig that little bit deeper and push that little bit harder. A shame he has an attention span of an ill trained dog.
Likes: If you feed Shuko once, he'll try to pay you back, if you keep feeding him he'll be your best friend. And once he's all fueled up and ready to go from all that food, he does like going on runs.
Dislikes: Shuko does not like math. Simple math, that's fine, but as soon as you start making complex equations you can almost see the smoke coming from his ears as he tries to make sense of it all. And studying in general frustrates him, sitting in one place for so long makes him antsy and feeling like he needs to do something.

Talents: Shuko has proven to be very good at marathons, his endurance shining through.
Favorite Subject: PE
Current Story: Shuko has never been one to make a plan for the future, and has always just taken things one step at a time. The current step he is on is to buckle down and really study algebra. In his mind, adding letters and numbers together should not work, but since someone said it does, it does. Something his parents are making sure he does like a pair of hawks. There is no way that they would let him have a pet of any kind, not until after he starts passing algebra.

Tomokazu Kitou (犬童 悌和)

General Appearance: Tomokazu has a rather slender body and long hair, giving a rather feminine vibe at first glance. He generally enjoys wearing any mixture of all-black clothing, but generally wore black shirt and shorts over white undergarments. He also adds red collar over his shirt. In contrast to his overall dark theme, he wears a yellow choker with a little bell on it.

In battle and with enough preparation, Tomokazu would often wore a full blown kabuki costume, complete with the thick white face powder and sharp red eye shading.

Personality: Tomokazu is generally a rather soft person. He likes smiling, enjoy being surrounded by children, and seemed to have a quite positive outlook in life. He always spoke in soft and polite language even to those normally considered to be his inferior. Despite so, behind his smile is a man worn out by countless battle. Tomokazu would occasionally slips out of his cheerful man persona and showed a sharp gaze befitting to that of a skilled warrior. Despite so, he refused to fully embrace his gritty true self, reasoning that “the world already sucked as is. I want to at least bring a little bit of happiness toward those around me even if it costs me my life.”

Tomokazu, as his Spirit Bead suggested, has a strong sense of brotherhood toward his fellow Hakkenshi, and is willing to go through pain and pleasure together. But perhaps taking it too far, he also actively avoids romantic relationship in fear of envy and jealousy building up among his peers. That is not to say he isn’t interested in women. Quite the opposite, he found woman to be ‘quite alluring’, though he claimed that he merely saw woman’s body as something of artistic value.

In battle, Tomokazu is a much fiercer person. Though he rarely drops his smile, his gaze is sharper and his eyes are more focused. However, he can also be quite playful with his opponent, taunting and doing moves that leaves his vital points in the open.

Primary Weapon: A chokuto hidden as a bamboo flute called Hanafubuki. It has an almost pitch-black sheath with only five cherry blossom petals at the bottom part to decorate it.

Secondary Weapon: A pair of war fans. Despite being his secondary weapon, these fans are usually Tomokazu’s go-to weapon if he wanted to hide his Hanafubuki for some reason or if he felt his opponent was not that big of a threat.

Special Ability: Dancing Over the Goldfish’ Pond – A special ability designed to give Tomokazu an edge against many opponents. Hanafubuki transform into a burst of sakura petals which whirl around him, then after a dance sequence the petals will spread around him. The petals are sharp enough to pierce human and yokai alike, although some thicker clothing e.g. steel armor or even mere leather jacket can resist it to some extent, the thicker the clothing the more petal it can hold before it get pierced. After a brief moment, the petals will return to its chokuto form.

GENERAL APPEARANCE :: Saori isn't somebody who actively tries to draw the attention to herself but her her choice of clothing is always clean-cut and well thought out. She tends to stick to blacks, whites, and pinks in what she wears; it might as well be her brand.

Typically, she wears her hair down . Her ears and navel are pierced, and she's got a small semi-colon tattooed on the inside of her left wrist. She's got a few scars but most are concealable and from past events that aren't worth mentioning.

PERSONALITY :: In a nutshell, Saori is a reserved person with a lot of secrets, a decent intentions, and impossibly high walls. Toward others she's cold and distant, blunt in her words and opinions, and won't go out of her way to cater to others' feelings. She's aloof and takes a long time to come around.

This means she's deliberate about the people she allows into her life. When she does, Saori's gentler half comes out; she's attentive, affectionate, loyal, and generally supportive. That being said, allowing others to see her in a vulnerable state and handling others in a vulnerable state is a continuous struggle. Having been as independent as she is for as long as she has, there hasn't been many events in her life where she's shared difficult times with another person, making it hard to open up and accept others opening up as well.

No siblings. She's mostly learned how to get by on her own and only ask her father things she is/was still too young to obtain herself. Their relationship is mostly don't ask and don't tell, and Saori doesn't mind keeping the status quo. Her goal is to graduate and move out of the country as soon as possible to start over fresh.

Other than that, Saori's home is quite spacious as her father makes good money - the only upside to a workaholic parent. Accommodating one, even two Hakkenshi wouldn't be an issue.

  Kana grew up an only child. All she had were her parents, but as a result, she had the time (and money) to take up the hobbies and activities that interested her at a young age. At the age of 5, she began learning the piano and one year later, she started learning martial arts. By 4th grade, she expanded her music interest into the school's band program, learning percussion. She continued to hone her musical talent throughout most of her life, while also progressing through her martial arts lessons. At 7th grade, she joined the school's jazz band alongside their concert band, playing the drum set and learning the bass guitar on the side.

Personality:
Open minded and Sincere. She is the type of person you could go to with any troubles and come out feeling understood and cared for. However most say that a first impression of her is that of someone who looks mean and self centered. It does take her a while to open up to new people , she does have a wariness to outsiders but she truly has the best intentions. She gives more to others than herself at least when she warms up to you.

Her main weapon is a bladed whip , reinforced in steel and has a black color from years of blood from demons that has essentially dyed the weapon. She favors this weapon more as she can keep a distance from danger while being able to inflict harsh damage on multiple targets.

Secondary Weapon:
The tantō , while Ahmya is more of a mid/long ranged fighter if need be she will utilize it as more of a defense than offense. The metal in the tip of the blade allowing for deeper penetration for self-defense as it has no belly and is not the best for slicing.

Special Ability:
Shimi dashi - The blood from her weapon seeps off as Ahmya strikes her whip , the blood hardening and forming as replicas of her bladed whips , causing her strike instead of one being into several hits at the same time. she can only do this once before the blood tethers back onto the whip.

Alias: Yoru no Arashi ("Storm of the Night"). During the Sengoku period, Senchi served his lords by putting his wisdom to use in the coordination of battles. He was famed for his clever tactics, often favoring diversions, ambushes, and covert attacks under cover of darkness, earning him this nickname along with a certain degree of infamy.

General Appearance: Despite biologically being the oldest of the Hakkenshi, Senchi possesses a fairly youthful appearance, belying his devilishly shrewd mind, vast pool of knowledge, and a body honed to its upper limits in strength and agility... an illusion he isn't above using to his advantage. Even so, his intense, animalistic yellow-eyed stare, stately bearing, cutting witticisms and impeccable dress afford him a commanding presence, or so he'd like to believe. When not in a standard school uniform or his workout clothes, he will generally be wearing a black tee shirt, dark colored jeans, and a flannel and/or cardigan, depending on the weather. Minimalism, quality and smartness are his primary concerns. Although, rumor has it he was once seen wearing sweatpants while sick with the flu... As for his hair, he prefers to cultivate an "artfully messy" look- whether this be so as not to seem too pretentious, or because his hair happens to be naturally thick and unruly, is anyone's guess. (Personally, I think it's a bit of both.)

Personality: In a word, intriguing... or so he'd like to believe. As the Chi Hakkenshi, he is naturally very wise, but wisdom on its own does not necessarily entail selflessness, humility, or even morality. Not to say that he is amoral, but all of his judgements tend to stem from his core trait. The way he sees it, his gift lies in knowing how to live a good life in service to his goals while avoiding unnecessary risks, and in teaching others to do the same. He exists to help his lord or lady get what they want, and if he can accomplish something of his own along the way, leaving his individual mark on the world, so much the better. There is a point at which he will draw the line, but generally speaking, as long as he is given the opportunity to exercise his talents in pursuit of some suitably grand cause, he is content. Though he is usually polite and as loyal to his caretaker as any Hakkenshi, his genuine respect is a gift bestowed only to those who return the favor, and establishing a bond of trust and friendship will take time and effort. In spite of his love for attention, socialization and people management, he tends to approach relationships with a hefty dose of caution. Once someone has broken through his defenses and earned his affection, however, there is next to nothing he won't do for them. As for the rest of the world beyond his intimate circle, he is happy to leave them to their own devices.

If he were to have a primary flaw, it would be that his superior understanding of the world around him lends itself to aloofness, egotism, and even a certain amount of contempt for those around him, given that few are able to reason on his level. Does this lead to loneliness, as well? Perhaps, though good luck getting him to admit it. He can also be prone to ruthlessness and what some might consider cowardice, given his tendency to prioritize pure logic over honor unless reigned in. He is never rash, but caution is a double-edged sword. Sometimes his determination to take the best possible course of action causes him to stagnate where he might have been better off diving in headfirst and leaving the rest to chance. In addition, those caretakers who leave him alone for too long or fail to provide him with enough stimulation are likely to get a taste of his mischievous side. Hiding his lord's belongings in increasingly obscure places is a favorite pastime.

Special Ability: When swung at a sufficient speed, the weighted end of the kusarigama unleashes a trail of lighting, serving both to potentially blind and disorient an opponent, creating an opening for a strike, and to increase the damage dealt by said strike.
Extra: In human form he carries around a pen so that he can chew on the plastic cap while he thinks... or whenever he gets bored.

General Appearance: Mano is tall and imposing. His body is well built but not excessively muscular since he's a teenager in his current form. he dresses adequately, but not well. His fashion usually consists of a plain black top and jeans in modern Japan, but he preferred a Yukata in the Sengoku period. He doesn't cover up scars before they fully heal and sometimes has disheveled hair. His hygeine is just passable, and he usually walks around with a 5 o'clock shadow. His voice is somewhere between bass and baritone and is a bit hoarse from all the shouting he does when he practices kendo.

Personality: "Refuge in ignorance" was Manosuke's motto during the Sengoku Jidai. A compulsive gambler, Mano believes in throwing his lot in with people, with causes, and with adventures to see where they come. Much of this comes from his youth, where he routinely challenged the best kenjutsu practitioners in Japan to duels in hopes of learning something and becoming their apprentices. He is trusting until proven otherwise, funny, and extremely outgoing. With an iron liver, he is a lover of sake and drinking contests.

Manosuke's most endearing trait is his willingness to endure hardships for people who are close to him, and even who he does not so well. This is motivated not only by a feeling of companionship with them, but by his eager willingness to take on challenges. Due to his size and his skill in Jujutsu, Mano was usually sent into battle at the very front of armies during the Sengoku Jidai, so this is the place he feels the most comfortable.

Manosuke's morality is an offshoot of the rest of his personality. He is willing to do the extreme, even kill people simply because he met someone once and wants to do them a favor. Mano does not believe in being a bystander, and always gets involved in fights and disputes. The faction he sides with is always the side he knows better.

Background: Mano's exact date of inception from bead form to human is unknown, but he first appeared in the records of the Sengoku Jidai in the mid 16th century, under the tutelage of Yagyu Sekishusai, a famous proponent of Japanese grappling while it was being consolidated into Jujutsu (the parent sport of Judo, Aikido, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu). This seemed to have a serious impact on Mano's fighting style. Relying on his size, weight, and understanding of Jujutsu instead of the quickness of his blade, Mano fought with human and yokai alike by rapidly closing the distance, locking blades (or arms), then ending the fight with a throw and stabs with his Wakizashi.

Manosuke was not well liked by the other Hakkenden, because his natural congeniality and eagerness to network side-tracked him from his mission. By the end of the Sengoku period, Mano's social circle included warriors Ito Ittosai, and Shinmen Takezo (better known as Miyamoto Musashi), as well as daimyo Sanada Yukimura. One particular incident in 1615 outraged his colleagues - on Yukimura's behalf, Manosuke fought on the losing side of the Siege of Osaka (where Yukimura was in command). For his participation, the Tokugawa Shogunate declared him a fugitive. Because of his attachment to his earthly companions, Mano opposed the Hakkenden's consensus to return to bead form after the end of the Sengoku Jidai. He was forced to do so by Yagyu Munenori, the skilled and ambitious 5th son of Sekishusai. Having always resented Manosuke's presence in his father's house, and wanting to ingratiate himself to the Tokugawa (who had tried and failed to kill Manosuke several times), Munenori challenged Manosuke to a duel, on the condition that Mano would go along with the other Hakkenden if he lost. Munenori managed to win owing to his unparalleled skill in the era. Shocked at this achievement, Tokugawa Ieyasu named Yagyu Munenori his personal sword instructor.

Secondary Weapon: Wakizashi, which usually ends up being far more important. Most of Manosuke's kills came from grappling his enemies to the ground then stabbing them.
Special Ability: Sakanagare - Mano's Wakizashi can be electrified, costing a large amount of stamina. The shock is high voltage but lasts for only a few seconds, making it necessary to impact first. It has no range besides what is in contact with the blade.

General Appearance
Inushin is a petite girl with ivory skin, which is clear besides a spattering of freckles spread across the bridge of her nose and her cheeks. Her hair usually appears lightly messy due to its slight curl but is still immaculate in its styling which is a half ponytail tied together by an indigo bow detailed with light yellow stripes. Her modern style retains a majority of its traits from the Sengoku era, being a light brown cloak with two crosshatched designs emblazoned on each side in black lace, tied together by a white scarf styled into a bow. Her dress is white at the top with long sleeves that are puffed out near the end of her arms, with an indigo tiered ruffle on her waist and gold buttons, along with a black skirt with a variety of gold stripes arranged in a hatched pattern near the top and horizontal near the midsection and bottom. Her lower attire consists of sheer black leggings and light brown heeled boots. The only notable difference from her Sengoku attire is the length of the skirt, which went from being down to her ankles to being above her thighs, and a lack of gold emblems on her dress (pictured above).

Personality
Inushin is kind and gentle with those she meets, always approaching situations with a certain air of peace about her. She tries her best not to get angry, and when she happens upon and angered moment, she profusely apologizes once she calms down. Though uneasy to anger, Inushin is quite fragile and saddened easily, yet when she is sad, she tries to not hinder people with her issues and keeps her demeanor of calm and kind, oftentimes showing no signs of distress. Though people often take Insuhin's kindes for weakness, she is a formidable force, not afraid in the slightest to stand her ground and assert her opinion. She finds no issue in reprimanding those who show her disrespect, and though not coming off strongly, she knows how to intimidate people into showing her an adequate amount of esteem, and she has no problem doing it on the side of other people. Inushin, though not being shy, prefers her independence highly to forming relationships. She fancies herself to be honest and moral, though there is some deception to this statement as if she had to choose others over herself, she can be selfish— extremely selfish, in fact. Due to her unyielding faith in herself and others, she comes to the conclusion everyone can fend for themselves, and she should only be concerned about her own well-being, much to other's chagrin. But, there is some truth to her honesty. Unless it's a life or death situation, Inushin will always tell the truth, and that is something she prides herself on. Though she can sometimes be arrogant, it is rare, and Inushin is usually regarded as fairly humble in her own regards. Inushin is also very positive, preferring to see the best in a bad situation or bad people. This, however, sometimes leads to her being easily manipulated, another one of her more negative traits being her naivety. Overall, Inushin, despite being kind, gentle, and fairly positive on the outside, can still be seen for her negative traits, which oftentimes take the forefront. Though fundamentally flawed, Inushin is a sound individual who tries her choicest.

Primary Weapon
Inushin carries around hook-swords. As the name implied, they are like swords, but with two long hooks attached to them. Though difficult to maneuver, Inushin has mastered her weapon to a point of deadliness.

Secondary Weapon
Inushin, though less often then her hook-swords, tends to carry a zhua with her. The zhua is a rope with a metal appendage attached to it shaped like a hand, meant to rip and tear. Inushin dislikes using this weapon and only turns to it if the situation is dire, as it causes extreme pain and agony in its wake.

Special Ability
Keijō — Though it uses up a major amount of extra stamina (that oftentimes Inushin can't spare), Inushin can bend the metal of her hook-swords into a much more deadly or pain-reliant shape, such as sharp hooks that can easily prod the organs out of an opponent. If she is more suited to a defensive position, however, she can meld them into shields. The shape, really, depends on exactly what she needs at the prevailing moment. The more complex the bend, however, the shorter the amount of time she can hold the form of the hook-swords up.
