Seraph Darkfire
King of the Underworld
Akel was relieved when Vas'on revealed he hadn't taken offence to her words at the gatehouse, her relief soon morphed however into a sense of pride when Vas'on further elaborated on how he felt in relation to their current relationship. It was good to know Vas'on felt the same way about her as she did about him and that going forward she could take comfort in this confirmation. After all Vampires didn't often have all that many friends and Akel was a good example of that, sure she had companions within the guild but that was different. When Vas'on moved to stand Akel did the same, moving to follow close behind the man.
As the two left Vas'on grabbed the cider and was quick to change the topic to that of the inn. In all honesty, Akel had very little hope that the inn could accommodate Vas'on and his own words only went to solidify such thoughts. They couldn't really go camp outside the city either. No that would be considered rude and if another kidnapping were to happen they'd be too far to react on time. Perhaps Vas'on could sleep on the floor in his bedroll... although practical that may prove demeaning. As Akel thought on the subject Vas'on made a quiet throwaway remark regarding inn's and their bedding situation in relation to adventures. The remark immediately threw Akel's thoughts to the side and had she blood flowing through her veins she likely would have blushed but instead, she quietly turned looked to her feet as she followed the halfbreed down the cobbled stone path without a word.
Soon the two arrived outside the butcher's shop and were greeted promptly by a rather obtuse man in a bloodied apron far too small for his size "We sell, beef, pork, mutton and chicken. If ya want duck or game you'll have to head out to the hunter's shack beyond the walls. We have an agreement ya see! So, by the looks of this big fella, I assume you'll be wanting a large portion of protein eh!"

"I'm always partial to a good bit of pork or mutton but unfortunately we are here on some business" Vas'On set the cider on a nearby counter "The barkeep asked us to deliver this to you" he said as he observed the man "Also said that the lord often visited this place. Since he hasn't been seen anywhere else in recent times, we were hoping that you could give us an idea of what he is like" if the Lord was buying from the butcher to procure the necessary blood to sustain himself, Vas'On was expecting to hear of purchases involving whole animals. Butchers bled and then carved up the creatures they sold. Leaving blood in a beast after death for too long would ruin the meat. He didn't know enough about Vampires to know for sure, but he assumed that the fresher the carcass the more appealing it would be.
However, there was a high chance that the Lord didn't personally go out to get his supplies, but sent someone out to retrieve them "Now that I think about it. Does he personally come and order? Or does he send a proxy?" Vas'On also knew very little of noble life, having avoided that aspect of elvish life thanks to his half-bred nature. If vampires thought themselves higher than others, it is possible that the Lord, should he be changed, be perfectly content with sending someone else. Of course, there was the chance that he didn't trust anyone to do this deed for him,
