“Every city has a guard regiment backing them, But not every guard has a city behind them.”
Deep within the great desert of the planet Uramar there lies a gem of a city called Magneel. This desert city is one of the market hubs of the world and offers everything from a mage college to an academic university that holds one of the worlds greatest libraries. Seven villages grew around it due to its prosperity and its location at the center of a desert edged by fertile coastal lands and kingdoms has allowed a steady stream of people to flood in. Yet the deserts of Uramar are a very dangerous place. From the massive multi hundred foot sand worms, to the wingless drought dragons, even the feared Deadstorms which seem to be increasing in frequency. As if all of this were not theat enough the eleven kingdoms of the coastal lands each long for a chance to take this jewel of the desert for themselves. While it has no military intended for attacks, the city guard of Magneel is a legendary force that has never fallen. This is the story of this great cities legendary heroes.

You have finally graduated from the Magneel Guardian program. It was a grueling four year process at times feeling like hell itself.
First came the Year of Melting, where 16 hours of each day was spent training yourself to the peak of human condition. It was so arduous that around 90% of applicants dropped out here.
The next year was called the year of forging where each day would he spent training against Veteran guards , you were expected to master seven weapons, hand to hand combat, Teamwork, and defensive military tactics. There were no breaks and no punches pulled. You probably got scars from this year but count yourself lucky, more than half of those who made it this far were cut down either dying or being maimed beyond the ability to continue.
The third year was the year of sharpening, When you were taken to the academic university and educated. You had one year to gain a comprehensive history of Magneel, Learn criminal and military psychology, master the Seven languages of the sand villages, all the while maintaining your skill and Physique. The final lesson was a recital of the Guards creed in seven languages in which failure would result in death.
Finally the Fourth year came and it was the hardest as it cared little for excuses, rewarding only the naturally talented and driven. This year was spent in the mage college where the guard would learn to identify the magical schools, phenomena, and creatures of the area. They would learn combat magic, defensive magics, and how to hunt magic creatures. The final test would have been the designing of a talisman which would be tailor made for each guard by that guard, then tested by the colleges Archmage. Because the process required the user to bind their soul to the talisman failing the test of the talisman would result in the applicants death.
By the end less than one percent of initial applicants would make it through the training process, but those that did would have the opportunity to become a guard and with l that would rank among the worlds most powerful men and women. However the might of these guards is about to be put to the test. Cults grow in the caves to the north, the dead storms increase in intensity and frequency, and the creatures grow restless. The recent death of the Emperor of the sands has political tension growing and the population looks to their heroes to guide and protect them. You are now among those heroes, but you don’t carry the burden alone, the Guards of Magneel stand with you.
