| For thousands of years, this little town as held a dark secret. The creatures of the Nether who live among the shadows. Evil, vile things that pray on the living's fear... feeding on the visceral energies, and relishing in making people live out their worst nightmare. They have no "true" form, as they are of shadow and darkness, allowing them to appear to people in any kind of form from the tiniest spider to another human being in all reality. Known as Nightmares, or even referred to as the Boogieman, these creatures haunt not only our dreams, but our waking hours... The portal these creatures emerge from is heavily guarded by this small town. Muse A and Muse B grew up in this small town, and never knew the dark secret it held. When Muse A was eight years old, her parents mysteriously died. It was clear to anyone who saw the crime scene that something had murdered her parents, but the town officials quickly had any and all reports claiming it was merely a murder-suicide, and claimed that her parents had marital problems. Muse A was quickly whisked away and out of the town to live with distant relatives, her 'guardians' feeling that it was to traumatic for her to remain in the town where her parents had died. Muse B was her closest friend, though he was an orphan. Or at least that's what the town records claimed. Only a year after Muse A was taken away to live with her relatives, Muse B was shown exactly who he was, and what his destiny was supposed to be. Forever living in secret, never to tell anyone what or who he was. He spent the next fourteen years training and fighting these dark creatures as the portal seemed to grow and more of them kept pouring into their world. On Muse A's twenty-second birthday, things take a turn for the worst. After a series of events, she somehow finds herself back in the town of her childhood, and the only thing on her mind is what exactly happened to her parents, and why the town covered the debacle up. She sees her old friend walking down the street, and wishes to enlist his help in finding out who really killed her parents. Muse B refuses at first, knowing if he caught her up in the darkness this town hid so well, she'd be in danger. Not to mention, he'd be in trouble for revealing his secret. He tries to keep her at a distance to keep her safe from the dark entities, but sometimes, things just don't go as planned. Will they stop this dark overflow and return things to normal? Will they learn that Muse A is the key to sealing the portal and stopping new creatures from coming into the world? What will Muse A think of her best friend's secret? The Prophecy --Coming Soon-- |
