The Great Silence

As you all left Dundee a rare wave of hope washed over you all. Never had you been on fake missions that had made it this far before. You were in luck for once! This may even be the start of some new friendships

As you travelled, there were few other carts you saw on the soft dirt roads. Most people feared monster attacks in the night or bandit ambushed during the day. The land was wild outside of Dundee and occasionally ruined settlements would come into view, wether they be old farmsteads that have begun to decay or entire ghost towns with lights flickering late at night, they were remnants of a time passed that you all hoped to return.

On the fourth day, as the sun neared setting, a wooden sign came into view. Propped up on a pristine post it read in fresh painted words “Turn back now. Falk ahead. Taken over. Bandits”

Mara pales and presses her lips together. Bandits! This sort of thing is exactly why she’d wished to stay at the temple.

Then again, she was a Lightseeker now, and she was sure to come across far worse dangers than common bandits. She glanced around at the rest of her party. “Shall we forge ahead?"

As they come accross the sigh, Aleria's normal cheerful expression hardens, becoming one of anticipatory bloodlust. She stretches her arms, and spins her hammer through a practice swing before looking over at her companions.

"Well now, it seems they've put out an invitation to a dance for us. What say we give them a chance to find out they're not up to being our dance partners?"

She turns to look down the road to the town, her hand going to her throat to stroke her holy symbol there as she contains herself long enough for the rest of the party to ready themselves.

Gauthak looks to the cart, and the little mule trudging along, and he furrows his brow. "I am all for de-banditing a town, but do any of you know a good way to hide a cart and a mule?" He looked to his new companions, with worry on his face.

Alabaster read the sign as he ran a hand along the handle of his sword. He smirked and turned around to the group, "this is much more my speed" he said as he smirked widely. "I don't know much about hiding carts but de-banditing is a specialty"
