Ever gazed around the restaurant in shock. The hunters talked about a coven in town. Well, here it was. Ever's mind was not comprehending this. Her eyes caught the man from earlier, the one with long, glorious hair. She looked away immediately, then started to eat. Well, she picked at her pancakes more than eating them. She barely looked up when the waitress gave her her check. She paid with the little money she had left in her pocket.

Ever went up to her hotel room. She decided to hop into the shower to try to relax. When she was dressed, she sat down on the bed, grabbing her rapier on the way. She pulled a small rag out of her pocket and started to polish her rapier. She let her mind wander.

It seemed that things were getting busy, both at the witches' home at the B & B. Madison raised an eyebrow when there was a knock at the disguised shed door. Nobody should be there unless they were a witch... She'd heard her grandmother's stories of hunters, uncaring brutes who killed witches indiscriminately, for fear of the trafficking in dark forces. Madison reached out with her senses, and detected the presence of magic within the newcomer, relaxing her. "I'll get the door, Skyler. If you can make a quick stop at the manor and make sure everything's okay, that would be great. I'll be there shortly."

Madison put on her cheeriest face as she went to greet the stranger. "Hello, sister, and welcome. I'm Madison, the new Carlsford Matriarch. I was just heading out, so we can talk as we go, if that's alright."

"Oh okay." Skyler grabbed her bag and placed Raffles on her shoulder before double checking her pockets and heading out. "Do you really need to carry that around?" Skyler looked up at Raffles before she headed out. Raffles just made a soft almost cooing noise as he held tightly to the rose in his mouth. "I'll see you later Madison." Skyler waved a quick goodbye before heading over to the manor.

Walking inside the manor, everything seemed normal. The usual people were there, along with a few new faces, which was expected since this was a bed and breakfast after all. "well, everything seems okay here..." Skyler smiled glad that everything seemed to be in order. She turned to head out but she noticed that a certain ferret had wondered off. "Raffles?" She questioned before quickly turning on her heel and looking around the B&B.

She sighed as she saw her furry friend over by one of the counters, trying to hand over his rose to one of the ladies that was serving food and drinks. "I swear, I'm buying you a leash!" She mumbled as she began to slowly began to head over to the counter, but as she walked, she noticed a familiar figure, Mortimer. She had seen and spoken to the vampire multiple times as she grew up. She could remember finding his long hair funny looking and fun to try to braid (When he wasn't looking) when she was younger. Though she had never gotten to know him very much on a personal level, she felt comfortable sitting down and talking or joking with him occasionally to pass the time. "Sup old man." She joked as she neared the counter. "Are you teaching my ferret how to flirt with women again?" She giggled picking up Raffles and holding him tightly in her arms. Raffles squirm for freedom, upset and making angry cooing noises.

Mortimer Briarwood
The Vampire was met with the sight of Skyler, causing his expression to immediately lighten. He didn't mind witches, they were perhaps the small group of people he willingly put up with for the sake of staying around. He didn't like to admit it, but watching the younger members grow into their specialities was something akin to a proud relative -- even if a little distant at times. Although he couldn't count the times he'd caught one of the children putting bows in his hair or clips, which they found hysterical. There were even points where he'd pretend not to notice what the rascals were up to, for through the sour-demeanour had once been a father. "Old man?" Briarwood tutted with a shake of his head. "I'm doing well enough," His gaze then transferred to the ferret who scrambled up onto the counter with a rose between its teeth, letting out a low chuckle of amusement. "Well, I doubt there's anything more I could teach him. He seems a master at the art already, my finest student." Mortimer took a longer sip of his coffee, "Perhaps he's in need of a Mrs Raffles?" He winked, flashing a white-toothed grin.

With a cane tucked under his arm, he put the drink down to run a hand through his thick hair - smoothing the loose strands back to where it had been tied. "How is Madison by the way? Doing well I hope. And your mother at that, I haven't stopped by the flower shop in what seems like an age." He placed a fingertip beneath Raffle's chin through the ferret's squirming to be released, giving a little scratch before withdrawing it. Being part of the local government meant, naturally, he knew people from place to place due to a varying degree of seeing them around and being the one to help authorise businesses in the area. Most people knew the Vampire as a local, charismatic figure who always had a charming word to say depending on what mood you caught him in.

Savannah idly played with one of the feathers she had braided into her blond waves. For a girl in her twenties, one would think she was born in another era, her black dress with a blush flower pattern along it underneath her cherished, intricately woven shawl that rest over her shoulders. Coupled with her heeled moccasin boots and the countless jewelry she donned on her fingers, wrists and around her neck, Savannah's Bohemian style was definitely not as common a sight nowadays. Though it was well suited for the gypsy-esque witch.
When the door in front of her opened, her green eyes blinked a few times as she gazed at the girl before her, who seemed to be of an Asian descent. The young woman appeared to be as confused as Savannah herself. That strange tingle in her spine came to her once more as she stood only feet away from the other girl. Though Savannah herself was a witch of many talents, she did not possess the ability of clairvoyance or true sight, a power witches may use to sense the presence of other magical beings. As far as she knew, the witch may have simply stumbled to the abode of a town local. Savannah's visions may appear unclear and subject to change, they almost have always brought her along her journey for a reason. Coming here, meeting this girl and her small pet that scurried forward to greet Savannah, may indeed yield results..
And she was right. A voice came from behind the door and the girl who answered it. It rang in her head, and the moment her eyes gazed upon the figure of the voice, her vision came back to the forefront of her mind. The blurred figure the crystal ball had shown her before, was filling in with the form of this young blond. But why her? Was there something special about this girl? After the first female had been asked a request from the blond and left with her rather charming ferret, Savannah's green hues looked over the blond female, who had introduced herself as Madison.
Sister? Matriarch? Being as Savannah had never personally been face to face with another witch, she was unfamiliar with their customs of living together and one's rise to leadership over a coven. However she was rather unfamiliar with most social gatherings and connections, the belle had always traveled on her own. But there was something about this Madison that even Savannah could sense. It was warm..powerful, yet kind and comforting. "How do you do, Darlin'? I'm Savannah, Savannah Goode." She gave Madison a nod as the girl requested they speak on the go. "I apologize. I didn't mean to just come bargin' in and knockin' at your door. I was..I just had a feelin' that there was somethin' here for me. Somethin' important." The southern ring in her voice carried a friendly yet confused tone. She couldn't just blurt out that she had a vision from staring in a crystal ball. It usually only worked in circuses and freakshows, any other time would have passersby stare at the belle like she was a mental patient..

Val'Kyren
[A Few Weeks Ago]
"And that, Mr. Joseph, is my proposition. What do you say on it? I get what my share of the profit, and you and you're small company gets a boost in name, and financially."
The client told him, spoken surprisingly well in english. Edward scanned around the room, his red eyes skimming every detail. This place looked more like an interrogation room than anything, and the more Val'Kyren sat there, the more suspicious he became. It was clear that right now was no time for joking around. The air had a sense of hostility, and there was certainly something brewing. "We are waiting for your decision, Mr. Val-" Val'Kyren bolted out of his seat the second he heard his own name uttered. The 'client' cursed in his own language before pointing a crossbow at the red-eyed witch's head. The other few people in the room brandished their weapons too. "Hmm, excuse me. I seem to have let the cat out of the cage." The hunter muttered at him. "Idiot, it's let the cat out of the bag." Val corrected him. Two firearms: one revolver and a sub-machine gun, one katana, a wakizashi and one crossbow aimed right for his head. Small fry. "So, how long did you stalk me to find me out?" Val inquired.
"Four months."
"Hacking my security cameras are a bit creepy, you know?"
"That is coming from a witch such as yourself. Your existence is a threat to innocent humans."
"Based on what?"
"Your body count."
"What about it?"
"Eleven confirmed murders, and you're suspected of seven more. Eight of your victims had been very powerful hunters that shouldn't be able to be defeated by any witch."
Val'Kyren let a small laugh escape his lips. This was more than stupid. This was an absolute waste of his precious time. "Well, you've wasted enough of my time. But still, I thank you for the plane ticket. Know you face Val'Kyren, Witch Lord of Cocytus."
"Your reign of terror ends here."
"What reign of terror? Am I some dictator now?"
Despite the obvious danger, Val'Kyren did not seem to take his opponents very seriously. Annoyed, the hunters armed with guns opened fire on the witch.

After what seemed like several minutes, (which in reality had been seven sevonds) the gunfire came to a halt, as both hunters had ran out of ammunition. The smoke settled down, and there seemed to be no movement. "He's dead? What a joke. I had thought this was going to be harder..." The hunter with the crossbow laughed to himself. However, he would be proved wrong. A blast of cold air suddenly exploded from the center of the room, and the room suddenly became extremely dry. All of a sudden, spears of ice erupted from the walls, impaling the hunters armed with a firearm. There, in the center of the room, stood the white-haired, red-eyed man, completely unscathed. In a moment of shock, the hunter fired his crossbow atthe ice-witch, only for him to shift his head to one side, causing the bolt to pierce a hunter who had attempted to sneak behind Val. Grinning, Val'Kyren picked up the short-sword from the fresh body of one hunter, just in time to parry a strike from a katana aimed for his head. As they locked blades, Val gave the hunter a death-stare, before kicking him right in the groin area, before thrusting the blade right into his chest area, presumably stabbing though his heart, or some other vital organ. Now with everybody else dead, Val made his way to the last hunter, struggling to reload his crossbow, trembling both from terror, and the below-freezing temperatures which the room had suddenly dropped down to. "H-hang on, w-w-what about your h-h-h-h-honor???" The hunter screamed in desperation, only to be met with an unsympathetic, cold gaze of what one could only describe as a seasoned psychopath. "Oh my, what about the honor, am I right lad?" He asked mockingly, before his tone became dark and cold. "Said the man who brought two guns, and five men to cut down one witch." He uttered, as a cold layer of ice began to creep up the hunter's legs and arms, freezing him to the floor. "おまえは も しんでる” He remarked jokingly, before rooting the man to the ground, leaving the room and freezing the door shut, letting him to freeze to death. "Do you feel the icy chill of death crawl up your spine?" He asked from the other side of the door. "Relish that feeling of terror. Die here, knowing you will never see the face of your beloved, or that of your children... This hopelessness, will become the only reality you will know in these last minutes. Pray for your family's safety, for I will not forget your actions." He was quickly met with a response of anger and horror from the hunter. "DO NOT TOUCH MY FAMILY, YOU MONSTER." He screamed in desperation, to which Val'Kyren replied with a cold laughter. "Monster? You're not too far off." He whispered, before leaving the man to die alone, along with the bodies of his comrades, and the screams of despair, which would soon descend into cries of madness.

[Present Time]
Edward dragged his two suitcases out of the elevator, and slumped them outside the door. Pulling out his key, he opened the door to his apartment before hauling in his two suitcases filled to the brim with things he had bought from Japan. Covered in sweat, he dropped on to the couch, not even bothering to look over at Gratatanens. Getting his arse from the airport all the way to some random obscure town that people rarely visit. "Yo Grats, I'm back." He called out. "It was some dodgy business trip to Japan, we were getting stalked by hunters who wanted my arse. Our security cameras got hacked, and they've been using it for a while..." He muttered, before pointing at his suitcases. "The ticket was free though, and I bought you back a shit ton of random crap. most of it's just weeb stuff. Take whatever you want." Sighing heavily, he turned his head around, scanning for Lucy, (who he assumed was probably working or throwing a tantrum in her room). "Oh yeah, and before I forget, if somebody delivers a huge box and asks for somebody to sign it, can you do that for me? It's my staff. Also, before I left, I put the rent money for the next couple of months on the table. I think I left $2000, did you pay it off?"

~ Skyler ~
"Well, that's good to hear." Skyler lifted herself and Raffles up into a nearby chair. She had some time. She didn't have to be a the shop right away, even if her mother seemed in a hurry to get her there. It never really got busy until later in the day either way and she could always stay late to clean or make bouquets and arrangments for tomorrow. "Haha, real funny." Skyler faked a laugh as Mortimer mentioned getting a Mrs. Raffles. "Maybe one day, but not anytime soon. I can barely handle Raffles by himself. How would I handle two of them?" She looked down at Raffles, still squirming for freedom and making grumpy noises. He was gonna be a handful today if he kept his temper and behavior like this, though he seemed to be slowly tiring himself out.

Skyler took her gaze away from Raffles and back up to Mortimer. "Madison's been doing well. Her usual self." Skyler smiled widely, her mother had actually mentioned Mortimer a few days ago. It seemed that everyone in her family enjoyed Mortimer's visits to the flower shop, of course, it was just great to see familiar faces walk in and say hello. "And mums been doing great too! You should stop by the shop sometime and say hello. I'm sure mum wouldn't mind catching up for a bit." Skyler's sighed, her happy-go-lucky tone fading slightly as she continued. "You know how my mum is, she basically lives in that shop. So she doesn't really see anyone anymore if they don't come into the shop to visit her, and with dad's back getting worse she's been putting even more time and work into keeping the shop looking well."

"Nice to meet you, Savannah. I'm Madison, own the local bed and breakfast. Just inherited from my grandma, so you can imagine all the hectic running around, between the funeral and taking over the property." Her voice dropped low as they neared the imposing front door. "There's no reason at all for a stranger to be knocking on the door of what appears to be a tool shed. In fact, the only reason anyone comes by is if they're drawn by magic. You're a witch, too, aren't you?"

Mortimer Briarwood
"Mm, I'm worried about her with everything happening. Quicker than I imagined, and the coven doesn't seem too happy." Mortimer let his gaze drift with thought before meeting Skyler's wide smile at the mention of her mother. "I'll make sure I drop in, don't you worry. I wouldn't miss catching up for the world." He gently laughed. Of course, he'd grown fond of the Rosery family, after long discussions about plants and magic, foreign countries, and having to return bow clips he occasionally found in his mane of hair -- only after walking around for a good few hours before anyone pointed it out. It was as much amusement for his colleagues as it was having to relocate the owners of the princess bands.

Briarwood slowly set himself down next to Skyler, taking a long draught of coffee. "That woman will work herself to the bone if she's not careful." The Vampire put a hand on the young witches shoulder. "They're not as young as they used to be, but I doubt they'd listen no matter how much either of us protests. So tell your mum, I'd be more than happy to come and help in the afternoon. I know my fair bit about flowers. Either that, tell her to get another employee. Take the weight off -- you need to keep up your studies as much as you can without interruption." He shook his head, and took another sip; releasing her from his gentle hold.

They were good people. People who deserved longer. Mortimer oft forgot how quickly time passed to those who have an eternal fate of wandering the wilds. He dreaded to think he'd have to watch Skyler grow old and haggard, wasting away whilst he remained the same as he always had. Humans were such weak creatures, fragile and warm -- they had the annoying ability to wheedle their way into your heart whilst you weren't looking. He always felt he'd outgrown his humanity, too monstrous to be named one of them, and yet they were kin. In the end, he supposed, he would have to witness everyone turn to dust until a hunter got him for no other reason than surviving.

Ever awoke. She was in a strange position on her bed, her rapier and rag on the floor. She sat up, realizing that she had fallen asleep. "Damn," she muttered. "I guess traveling took more out of me than I thought..."

She stretched and yawned. It was still light outside. She checked her phone. She had only been asleep for twenty minutes. She decided to change into her favorite top (a gray graphic t-shirt that read "wallflower") and a pair of ripped overalls, letting one of the straps hang off of her shoulder. She put her messy hair into a high ponytail, not even wanting to deal with her bangs, and walked out the door.

She walked downstairs and headed outside. She felt something odd, and she followed the feeling to the back of the B&B. There, she saw a pair of blondes talking near the tool shed. the feeling was much stronger now. She walked up to the shed. "Er... Hi..."

Gratatenens awoke to the sound of his stomach rumbling. Pulling himself up from where he'd fallen asleep (sitting in an over-stuffed office chair in front of the laptop Edward had bought him), he moved to the fridge to get something to eat. Human food was so much better than what was usually available on the Other side. He hadn't been able to introduce deep frying for one thing. And so many options here too. Chinese food (Gratatenens loves dumplings), pizza (sausage as the topping), burgers, fries, onion rings, hot dogs, oh so many delicious things. Opening the fridge Gratatenens found it nearly empty. Well, this wouldn't do. Part of Edward's contract said he had to provide for Gratatenens as long as it was both in good faith and could be done without unduly burdening the Pactee. Which meant that he'd have to check up with Edward on this.

"Eddie, you're out of food!" Gratatenens yelled, not bothering to use an in-door voice. No answer. Gratatenens groaned. Did something happen to Ed? Ugh, this was why he didn't usually indulge in sleep. It was relaxing to turn off his mind for a while, but it meant he missed out on stuff. Walking into the main room, Gratatenens spotted the note Edward had left. Picking it up, he skimmed past the boring parts and saw that Edward would be back in 3 weeks. There was $2,000 in there too. Gratatenens guessed this counted for the Pact.

Gratatenens walked back to his laptop. He'd started out with just a closet as living space (damn contract loopholes), but with a small amount of his magic he'd made it so it was larger on the inside. Now the closet was more like a basement the size of the main apartment, plastered from wall to ceiling with collectables and memorabilia. Figurines, posters, video games, graphic novels, books, manga, a TV with several game system attached and a line to the laptop, it looked like Geek Heaven. Most of it Gratatenens had just collected over the years and brought over from the Other Side, but some of it was new. Opening up his Gmail, Gratatenens noticed the item on Ebay he'd been looking at was finally available to be bought now. An autographed poster of Monokuma! Gratatenens shivered in delight. Let's see...the option to buy it now cost $1,999 with the option for cash payment.

Gratatenens looked down at the money in his hand. $2,000. He looked at the cost on the screen. $1,999. He clicked Buy It Now, this was more important than food. He'd just get Lucy to buy food and the rest of the stuff. Now where was she?

Lucy
Lucy finally jammed the keys to the apartment into the key hole after her 5th try. Ugh, home again. she thought. Lucy had been at a friend's house a five day sleep over and shopping fest. taking advantage of Edward's extensive leave to go and have some fun while not having Edward on her backside nagging about wasting money on useless things. Lucy opened the door and was immediately greeted by a wave of odor coming from that dreaded closet. Tossing all her bags next to the door she went inside. Everything was covered in a thin layer of mist except for the closet handles, that one chair on the left side of the table, and the piece of floor in front of the fridge. She opened her phone to check the time, the morning was mostly over! Which meant that she was extremely late for work, if only she had not bought that blue polar bear phone case... but it looked so cute tho. ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Anyway if Lucy didn't buy that phone case she would have had enough money to catch the bus home, which would have been faster than walking. Lucy couldn't care less about work, it was always fun first, work second. Welp, this time her excuse for not going to work was a cold that she had caught from her roommate, last time it was a dead dog and the time before that was an exam that she had never had. Lucy's stomach rumbled, she had walked almost all morning and only had a bowl of cereal for breakfast, darn she really should've ate more at her friend's house. Knowing Gratatenens he probably ate every edible thing in the house no matter how disgusting it is. Lucy closed and locked the apartment door. She ripped off her "outside clothes" in front of the door and kicked them in the general direction of the empty laundry basket, meh Edward can pick them up when he comes back, she thought. Lucy then picked up her "inside clothes" which was a green tee and a pair of shorts, they were right where she left them five days ago...In front of the door. She opened the fridge, it was completely hallowed out! not a single grain of food left in it! (ಥ﹏ಥ) guess its water for lunch then. She was either too hungry or too tired to throw a tantrum. She opened the tap and poured a cup of water, downed it. Lucy's stomach grumbled again in protest. She half crawled to her room, despite her tiredness and hunger she leaped
into the air, and in one swift motion removed all her clothing and covered herself head to toe with her blanket. Just need to conserve enough energy to last till tomorrow so that she could steal some food from work. If worse comes to worse Lucy'll just cell her soul to Gratatenens for a cup of instant noodles or something. Maybe he will even give her a rommie discount and let her keep half of it, with that thought in mind Lucy fell asleep.

"Eddie, you're out of food!!!!!"

Gratatenen's voice almost made Lucy fly out of bed, she almost cried as the burst of hunger hit her again! ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) Lucy lay in her bed, eyes barely open, did not have the energy to answer ༼ つ ಥ_ಥ ༽つ

~ Skyler ~
Skyler gave a kind smile to Mortimer. She knew her mom would be ecstatic to see Mortimer come in for a little while and she could already see her mother now. If the shop wasn't busy she would offer to make some herbal tea and sit down for awhile to chat and catch up. All while Skyler and her father would take the front counter for as long as it took. They both knew all too well that Skyler's mother never really sat down much, and she needed rest off her feet, even if she refused to admit it.

Skyler listened closely to Mortimer's words, he was right though. Her mother had the tendency to be a workaholic and she too feared that her mother worked too hard and long for her age. It was a sad thought. To see her mother and father slowly age and lose their ability to work as well as they once did, but still try even if it could harm them. "I'll let her know that you're willing to help out." She smiled widely, glad to have such a kind close family friend. "And I'll try to convince her to get some more help for the shop as well. I know she's not very keen on bringing someone new in. She's still a bit paranoid that she'll bring someone who doesn't care about the shop and the plants as much as our family does, but she will have to take that chance sooner or later."

Skyler reached into her pocket and looked down at her phone for a second, checking the time as well as seeing if anyone had messaged her. "Well, speaking of getting my mum some help, I'm running way behind schedule. I better get heading to the shop or I'll never hear the end of it today" Skyler slowly lifted herself from the chair. Raffles finally seemed to have calmed down enough where she was able to put him back on her shoulder without him seeming like he was gonna run off. As she placed Raffles back onto her shoulder she mouthed the words 'stay' to him before looking back at Mortimer. "Well, I'll see you around old man." Skyler joked as she smiled widely. "It was nice chatting with you."

Gratatenen turns to Edward with a smile.

"You were relying on me to pay for our continued residence? You do realize the Contract places that on your shoulders. I can't be required to do that, even by proxy. It's not like money is an issue with the boosts I've been giving you. I do hope you're not going to end our Pact, I like you."
The Demon's smile widens to just past where a Human would be able to.

"Also you should keep your voice down, Lucy's sleeping."
Turning to Edward's bags, Gratatenen uses some of his magic to sort everything in them into neat piles and then begins picking up all the stuff brought for him. Then he remembers something.

"Wait, I can do something for you."
Putting down the merchandise in his hands, Gratatenen reaches into his mouth and somehow pulls out Edward's staff from the other end.

"As agreed, I can retrieve any of your possessions that have not left your ownership. Ooh, it's also that time of the month."
Gratatenen coughs up a glowing red gem, then tosses it at Edward. As it sinks into his body he feels a burst of power run through him.

Gathering up his presents and moving towards his room, Gratatenen turns around and calls
"Lucy, Edward's home!"

"Bah, I'll go pay the rent later. I can't be bothered right now..." Edward stared as Gratatenens pulled his staff out of his mouth. Any normal human would've reacted like the world was about to explode, but Edward just gazed at it like it was the norm for him. To be fair, it was. He was a witch, living with some demon and a loli. What was he even expecting? Groaning, Edward pointed out at the television, ignoring the red crystal object sinking into his skin. "Oi, wanna play later? I'll go buy a pizza or something, I'm hungry as fuck." He muttered, lazily lifting himself off the couch and making his way to Lucy's room.

Opening the door, Edward hollered into the room: "OI, GET YOUR ASS OUT OF BED, YOU DAMN LOLI!" Taking a quick breath, he hollered again: "I'M GETTING PIZZA, SO STOP SLEEPING OR YOU'RE GONNA STARVE, HURRY UP." While waiting for Lucy to respond, Edward whipped out his phone and opened the food delivery app. "Mmm, barbecue chicken sounds nice... with bacon.... just stacks of bacon..." He thought to himself, ordering way too many pizzas. He needed enough to be able to last him a whole day of gaming, anyways. Well, a whole day of gaming, as long as random shit doesn't come up... Like for example, a bunch of hunters breaking through the window...

Gratatenens quickly alters the pizza order to have half of them be double extra cheese and sausage and then plops down on the couch. Booting up Super Smash Bros Brawl, he quickly selects Ganondorf and wins the first game. Midway into the second he grins.
"You do realize that I've been gaming since Humans first invented them? You've got as much chance of beating me as-BY THE DARK MOTHER'S HEART, HOW?!"
Gratatenens's eyes widened as Ganondorf got launched onto the ghost platform just as it disappeared, getting KO'd as he fell off the stage.

Growling, he uses a bit of magic to tilt Lucy out of her bed. He may be a sore loser, but never let it be said that he suffers alone. Wait...was that also a bad thing? Meh, back to the game and-
"HA! Smash Ball!"
Beast Ganon crushes his opponent into Final Destination's ground, then sends them flying into an off-screen KO.
"I AM THE MASTER!"
(Gratatenens is also a sore winner. His main appeal as a video game opponent is that his selective memory for losses usually works in his Pactee's favor. As long as they put up with his gloating he's just very good as opposed to the unbeatable master he claims to be. Except for the time he ate an opponent for cheating when he was trying to beat his high score at Donkey Kong in 1987. It would be best if nobody told him about the movie Pixels, he might do something very bad.)

Valen peeked out from under her hood. She stared up at the apartment building. She sighed. She was ready to make another deal with a devil.

She walked inside and looked at her phone, the apartment number pulled up on the screen. She walked up the stairs. When she found the apartment, she knocked. This guy better have what she needed. She looked around. The place was falling apart. Still intact, but falling apart. She realized that this was the perfect place to hide out. Well, at least for a demon. She waited a few seconds, then knocked again.

Mortimer Briarwood
"Good. I'll be seeing you soon then, give that mother of yours a talking to--" Although when Skyler reached her feet, the Vampire caught the girl's hand. Genuine concern crossing his features, "Stay safe for this old man. I'm not happy with how many hunters are about. Understand me?" His brows arched, staring the younger witch down with that evident, shudderingly sincere gaze. He then released her and stood up with a short inhale. "Have fun at the shop, be careful." Briarwood patted her cheek, "But I best be making the most of this discounted coffee." With a wink, he'd moved around the woman and began on towards the bar. Placing his china cup down and politely requesting for more, Mortimer utilised his charm; an elegant wave of his hand and dashing smile. There were some good things attributed to the Vampiric curse he supposed.

The black, caffeinated liquid trickled into the mug whilst Mortimer lifted his gaze to the television softly buzzing with audio, sitting beside a familiar yet unknown male. Lifting the brimming drink to his lips, he let the bitter concoction soothe his throat whilst a vague hunger still fought with the animalistic desire to indulge himself in gore which made his canines ache. Running his tongue along his teeth, the Vampire nodded towards the screen. "Nothing but bad news these days." He nonchalantly remarked, aimed at the fellow beside him. It clicked in the back of his head however as to where he'd noted the man prior. "Ah, I'd almost forgotten the coven had a records keeper. The resemblance to your father is uncanny -- If you'll excuse my interruption. "

He'd used the archives of the coven more than his fair share in the time he'd lived in the town. Befriending witches was safe to say, a good move when you were a lone supernatural creature trying to live in a world of religious zealots. There'd always be someone at your back, someone who could bend the fabric of reality at their fingertips. Indeed, making friends with the witches was more than a thing of coincidence.

"Oof" she felt a gental tug in her blanket. Bang! Her head hit the floor. Uhhh its no use she thought, she'll never be able to sleep with those odd jobs outside. With regular bursts of rage comming from gartatenens sleeping is harder than assending to heaven as a murder. Quickly sliping into her t shirt. Lucy rammed into the door, it crashed open with a thunderous bang. She flintched and looked back, "uhh!" A slight dent in the wall but lucy did not care, Edward can take care of that. She ran into the living room, her eyes dashing from left to right looking for the pizza. There it wasn't there! Lucy dragged herself to the couch where Edie and Gartatenens were sitting. She squeezed herself into the midle of the two. Ahhhh, it was even warmer than her blanket. :3 but she was still mad about being woken up.

"Edie!! Thats mine now!!" Snatching the controler from edward. >:3

"knock, knock" that must be the pizza dilivery guy.

"Wallet!!!!! Get the door!!!!"

“Hey, Samus is fun...” Edward muttered as Ganondorf was sent flying off the screen. “Ha! I beat you!” He had taunted Gratatenens before Ganandorf used a smash orb and made Samus disappear from the game. “Dang, if only Brawl had Robin...” He pretended to whine. He may as well feed that huge ego a little more. Edward prepared for a second round, until Lucy strolled up, sat between him and Gratatanens and casually snatched the controller from Edward. “You fucking loli...” Edward cursed at Lucy before laying back and waiting to watch Lucy get destroyed within ten seconds of the game starting.

Well, that never happened as somebody began knocking on the door, followed by Lucy screaming for her ‘wallet’ to open the door. At first, Edward assumes that his Pizza arrived (god knows how one person carries twelve boxes of pizza) but as he moved closer to the door, he could smell something off. Rather, he couldn’t smell the delicious pizza. More than that, he could tell the person on the other side of the door is a witch. He didn’t rule out the possibility that it was a witch who worked as pizza delivery, since Lucy works at Maccas, but again, he couldn’t smell pizza. Moving his hand, he proceeded to open the door.

“Is this pizza delivery?” He asked, hazing at the woman on the other side of a door. However, he stopped in his tracks after considering her outfit. A robe that covered a person head to toe definitely WASN’T the pizza delivery uniform. His expression turning slightly more serious, his eyes gazed down at the woman. “Well, you’re probably not a hunter...” He muttered. “Dafaq are you here for? Please don’t tell me your family got murdered by hunters and you need a place to stay... because there’s definitely no more room left. You can stay for pizza if you want though...”

Edward smiled at the woman. “Hmm, Valen, huh?” He thought out aloud, before introducing himself. “I’m Val’Kyren. Nice to meet you.” He said, before addressing her question. “Yeah, there’s a demon here.” He replied, in a soft voice. It would suck if his neighbor was a hunter and was eavesdropping. “But I’m kinda already contracted with him.” He informed Valen, before turning his head behind. “Yo Grats, this chick wants to talk to you.” He called out.

Gratatenens stared for a moment.
"Um...wow. This has never happened before. See I usually make deals when I get summoned from the Other Side or I'm visiting. At the moment I've got a deal going already-"
He waves in Edward's direction.
"-so I'm not sure what to do. Would you believe this has never happened before? Hell, this is the first time a potential's approached me while I was on this side. Tell you what."
Gratatenens steps back and points to Edward and Valen.
"You two can fight to the death, or whatever. That's how people are still doing it, right? Or getting married? I have no been paying as much attention as I probably should have. Last time I checked in was when my last pactee got married to his husband. Things have changed a lot since Rome fell."

~ Skyler ~
As Skyler stood and was about to walk away, Mortimer stopped her by grabbing her hand. She quickly turned to see what he needed. He looked concerned, which wasn't something she saw often from the vampire. When he had brought up the number of hunters, Skyler understood his concern. It was unusual to see so many hunters in town and some seeming to be here without much of a reason. It was a bit strange. "I understand, I'll be extra careful." Skyler gave a kind smile to Mortimer as he let go of her hand and she walked off out of the B&B to head to the flower show that was a few blocks down.

She was running late, and she was ready to hear an earful from her mother as she turned a corner and walked up to the shop. Flowers were on display outside in wooden barrels and different vine-hanging flowers hung from hanging baskets around the doorway. On one of the large glass windows in white and purple lettering 'Rosery Family's Homegrown Flowers' was painted. The wording was beautifully surrounded by painted on lilies and cherry blossoms. On the door was a small sign that flashed 'open' in neon lights. It was a sign Skyler wishes she could change to match the floral design, like the rest of the shop, but it worked like it was supposed to, so why change something that wasn't broken? Skyler smiled and walked through the door, a beautiful bell chimed as the door opened and closed. The peaceful fragrance of cherry blossoms filled Skyler's nose, more flowers hung in pots all over the place and ivy gently hung along some long planters that were mounted on the cozy white brick walls. Skyler smiled as she made her way to the silver and white counter where her father was fixing up a bouquet of red and white roses. A small bonsai tree sat on the end of the counter, Skyler could remember it being there since her mother first opened the shop.

Her father paused from working on the flowers and leaned onto the counter looking directly at his daughter as she walked up to him. "Where have you been all morning young lady?" Skyler's father questioned and raised an eyebrow at his daughter in disapproval, yet he spoke in a very calm and curious tone. "I slept in" Skyler started then sighed, losing eye contact as she spoke, "Then I got distracted on my way over here." Skyler tried to put on a convincing apologetic smile, but it was clear by her father's unamused face that he wasn't falling for it. "Okay... I'm sorry I was late, won't happen again."

Her father half chuckled when Skyler apologized and went back to working with the flowers, shaking his head a bit. "Don't apologize to me, I understand, you want to live your life." He paused finishing up the bouquet by tieing it all together with a red and silver ribbon and placing it in a small silver vase. "and truthful I don't worry about it much, you never applied or signed up for this job. It's your--" he was cut off by Skyler. "Mum, I know." Skyler sighed once again, her voice softening as thoughts raced through her head. After a few seconds, she took a deep breath and relocked eyes with her father. "Where is mum either way?" She questioned as she pushed some hair out of her face, it was her mother she really had to apologize to, not her father. "In the back, growing tiger lilies for an order that was made for pick up later today, she should be out here soon."

Skyler nodded, knowing that it was best to wait for her mother to come back out instead of going into the garden while she was working. "Well, since you're here now, help me make more bouquets and displaces. We had a big order that will be getting picked up later today and I need to make a least a dozen more before they get here." Skyler's father smiled, seeing his daughter's concern about speaking with her mother. He gave a kind smile and leaned down to his daughter and whispered over to her "Plus if it looks like we've been working for a long time, we can say you've been here longer then you actually were." Both Skyler and her father chuckled. A wide smile appearing on Skyler's face. "It's a deal" She giggled as she grabbed some flowers and began to make some bouquets.

Akane Fuyukawa
[The Night Before...]
The sounds of footsteps rang down the stairway, bouncing off the concrete walls of the pitch-dark basement. Chains rattled in response to Akane's footsteps, followed by violent hissing. Whatever was contained in this murky abyss definitely was no friend, and it was clearly threatening the girl to step away. However, as Akane's footsteps drew closer, the fierce hissing soon died down to a soft, pitiful whimper. Flicking the switch, the basement lights sparked to light, revealing a gray floor tainted with blood that had dried a dark cimson. In the middle of the room was a woman bound to a metal chair, using chains that were made of what appeared to be silver. Despite a vampire's regenerative abilities, this particular undead was covered in large patches of burn marks, and wounds still dripped with blood. Whoever this was, Akane clearly wasn't giving them a good time. The young girl's sadistic grin widened, as an unsettling laughter escaped her lips.

"How many nights has it been?" Akane taunted the vampire. "A week? Maybe two?" She continued. "I wonder how many nights it takes to break you. Physically and mentally." Akane's eyes widened with glee as the vampirelashed out at her, only to have a silver crucifix shoved into her face. "You know, the church is surprisingly generous about these silver tools. Especially when I tell them I'm dealing with a vampire." She continued to mock her victim. Walking closer, Akane grasped tightly onto a wooden pole sticking out of the vampire's chest. She had driven it into her chest earlier, purposely missing the heart. Twisting the stake deeper into the vampire's body, she laughed as it made a satisfying, stabbing noise. Satisfied, she pulled the stake out of the vampire, making a cracking noise as several of splinters of wood fell from the stake and remained in the vampire. The unfortunate creature tried to lash out at Akane again, but silver chains weren't very helpful, especially when they're tying your arms and neck to a chair. "That's right. Curse mankind. Curse the God who watches us from above." She whispered, her face uncomfortably close to the vampire's, purposely exposing her neck to tempt the vampire into attempting to take a bite. As she spoke, the vampire showed clear signs of extreme discomfort, and Akane took notice. "I had a side of garlic bread with my spaghetti. Just for you." She whispered, smiling. Finally, she backed away giving the vampire a few seconds of false hope, as she exited the basement through the stairs...

However, moments later, Akane returned to the basement, this time carrying a toolkit. Ignoring the vampire's cries of despair, Akane casually plopped the toolkit on a nearby table as she sorted through all the crude tools, before finding the instrument she was looking for, holding a flat-head screwdriver in the air, as if examining it closely. Then, her eyes drifted down and set its sight on the vampire. Akane approached her, and despite her pleas of mercy, inserted the screwdriver underneath the vampire's unkempt nails. Then, she wedged the head upwards slowly, and as she did so, she grinned to herself as the most hideous tearing sound followed by yells of pain and horror. Then, the whole nail dropped to the floor, and Akane lifted her bloodied screwdriver. "Scream all you want." She said, still smiling widely. "I soundproofed the walls." She then lowered the screwdriver again, meeting the vampire's twisted expression of terror, repeating the process for each one of her fingernails.

As the final, bloody fingernail dropped to the floor, Akane wiped the head of the screwdriver clean. However, she did not give her victim a single moment of respite. Returning to the toolkit, she grabbed out a drill gun, some nails, and a hammer. Relishing the vampire's agony, Akane continued drilling holes in the vampire's collarbones, and hammering nails into various areas of the vampire's body such as the wrists and the throat. Finally, Akane grabbed a sharpened knife, making a careful incision in the vampire's throat. "Alright, now you can shut up." She muttered, before inserting her hand into the incision she had made and grasping on to the creature's vocal cords. The vampire gave one more scrrech before Akane tore them out, and throwing it to the floor. She met the vampire's maddened gaze, drowned in hate with her own apologetic smile, before finally giving the miserable thing the end it had longed for. Well, not quite. Pouring gasoline all over the creature's body, she left a trail of the foul liquid up the stairs, before throwing a match into the basement and slamming the door shut. She would take care of the charred remains later. Right now, Akane just wanted to sleep before finding a new toy...

[Present Time]
Humming to herself, Akane leisurely strolled down the streets. "Heh, last night was fun." She giggled to herself, before checking her phone. Apparently, it was one of her 'friend's' birthday. "Well shit, I haven't gotten her a present yet..." She muttered. "Oh, whatever, I'll just buy her a toy online..." She continued to think out loud. Maybe she'll visit the flower shop? People got each other flowers for presents, right? Not that Akane would know. Especially since she hadn't been trying too hard to catch up with latest trends. Pausing in front of the flower shop, Akane gazed through the windows. Just window-shopping, Akane already realised that whoever ran this shop was serious about it. Flowers were arranged beautifully, and bouquets were tied up very nicely. Walking inside, bells chimed a pleasant ring around the shop, notifying the people inside of her presence. She stopped for a moment to watch a man tie up bouquets of roses with a younger woman. After about half a minute, she finally opened her mouth to talk. "You've got quite the skilled fingers. You've had much experience with them, haven't you?" She complimented, although with some... implications... "Not sure if I have to place an order or something, but I'm looking for some flowers for my friend. It's her birthday, and I kind of have to buy a last-minute gift." She explained, giving Skyler and her father a bright grin. "I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out here."

Madison walked into the B & B, looking around. There were a few customers already, and she singled out a young man. She didn't recognize him at first, but a second glance revealed his identity. "Oh, hello, Eryx. Good to see you again. Is the drink to your liking?"
