Personality: Selfish, arrogant, and abrasive. Trauma from her family has caused her to develop a rather cold attitude, including an "eat or be eaten" philosophy. This also produced an eating disorder where she doesn't really feel hunger. On that note, she values every little thing, including food, stemming from her family's time in poverty. She finds it unacceptable to waste anything, and would kill someone if they did so frivolously. She is very tomboyish and competitive, as seen by her philosophy above. Despite her father's betrayal, she is still faithful to God. Under normal circumstances, she is simply lazy and laid back.

Bio: Her father was a preacher who started to deviate from the traditional doctrine. As he started to lose followers, Kyoko felt powerless to help him. Her wish in her contract with the incubator was that people took him more seriously and believed what he had to say. Soon, he gained a massive following, and for a while, the family was happy. However, soon, Kyoko felt guilty for not telling him the truth, and eventually came clean about what she had done, including a demonstrative transformation. Her father became angry and called her unholy and referred to her as a witch. She tried to convince him that she was different from a witch, but he didn't care. Here threw himself into a fit of rage, destroying everything in the church and killing both his family and himself. Kyoko arrived in horror, not at all expecting his reaction. After that, she vowed to only use her powers for herself, and that sacrificing yourself for the sake of others always proved to have major backlash. Now she fights for herself, collecting grief seeds only to keep herself alive rather than to help the people of the world.


Weapons: Scorpion spear - a large spear that grows into an infinite amount of chains with segments of pole between (seen above). Able to use fascination magic. Her power is enchantment, where she can summon magical chains to do pretty much whatever she can think of, so long as she carries hope in her heart. If not, she cannot use magic, but can still use her spear. Her special attack in Rosso Fantasma, but doesn't use it currently for personal reasons.


Other: As a magical girl, she has to harvest grief seeds from witches to cleanse her soul gem. If she does not, her soul gem will break, and she will transform into a witch herself. On that note, since her soul is in a gem, her physical body feels a significant amount of pain reduction and heals quickly. Cannot be 100m from her soul gem, or else she cannot connect with her body.

Ara is descendant from a warrior family that had been honored for generations. Because of her heritage, she tends value warrior’s code and honor above all else. She first started wielding her spear with a desire to protect something with her own strength.


She carries a painful past of losing her only older brother ‘Aren’ to the demons. Aren returned as a demon named ‘Ran’ and massacred Ara’s entire family along with everyone who lived in the village. Ara possesses a strong heart that allowed her to recover from a traumatic event that a normal 17 year old girl would have difficulty overcoming. She is kind to everyone except evildoers and demons. She has a slightly dim-witted and clumsy side to her and sometimes makes silly mistakes. Ara is aware of her clumsy side but it doesn’t seem like it will be fixed anytime soon.


A Nine tailed fox named ‘Eun’ is sealed inside the hairpin she wears. Ara and Eun are in a mutual relationship, each with their own separate goals, but this doesn’t mean that they don’t get along with each other. Still, two of their personalities are radically different and other people sometimes mistake Ara for having a dual-personality.
