Quest The Gameroom

Main
Here
I wasn't sure what an appropriate post length would be, and I wasn't sure what the setting would be between cars or in the next one. Hopefully what I posted is acceptable and within reason.

You are fine, that was perfect.

It is a bit like a tabletop game, you are responding to the information I provide in my posts. Speaking of, since Ingrid moved to the next car, I'll be immediately making another post :P

Try not to rush too much or everyone might end up dead.

Everyone might end up dead? Sounds like Ingrid's plan.

I gotchu, though. I'll pace it fairly, but her M.O. is for sure to get ahead/away from the others before shit gets violent. She knows she likely won't win this game (if that's really what it is) with physical strength.

I love her thinking.

Also, keep in mind that I said Everyone, not everyone else.

For reference by the way.

Does Ingrid receive the same message? As in, does she expect them to rush in after her, or is she uninformed of the new update?

Also, I'm 100% willing to attack this room with a plan, and equally willing to be the first casualty if Ingrid is unlucky.

It can be a bit of both. That is just a reference picture.

Ingrid does not receive the message as she's the one that triggered it. I'll try to place targeted people as tags underneath the message. Might change that later if I come up with an idea for it. After all, I'm partially making this up as we go :P

I'm not going to instantly kill you...at least not without complete reason. Had she jumped off the train, she would have died. :P

I've given you what I believe is enough information to not die instantly.

Like, I essentially want her to get to a corner of the train car, and reach for a window curtain to tear down. Obviously I don't know if this will work, so how exactly can I convey these actions while also leaving it open-ended for other players to react to their surroundings and Ingrid herself, but also to give you enough freedom to setup the game and surroundings as you see fit.

You could make the post stating what she is intending to do. If she wants to step into the shadows and attempt to tear down a curtain, that is what she'll do. I can then make a post detailing what happens as a result of that. Lot of DnD elements. Mainly you going "I do this" and me replying "Ok, here is what happens"

Anything can happen. She can attempt to tear down the curtain and be attacked by it, she could fill the room with light, ect,

Post length won't always be consistent as some stuff will go quickly in the case of timed events, some will go slowly as characters attempt to puzzle stuff out which will lead to longer posts without my needing to give more information. If you'll notice, mine aren't super long, just a few short lines of information and sometimes some code.

Now, time for me to go to bed as I still work tomorrow.

We'll feel it out over time, I'm sure. I'm all for reactionary roleplay, though. I love doing shit without full control and knowledge of the situation.

Posted! That wasn't too hard.
So my guy's name is Silas, you'll learn more about him later, if you win of course.
So I noticed the two objectives.
I'm assuming you only have to fulfill one of them in order to win the game, since if this isn't true everyone would die if 2+ people made it to the end. As such, that goes against your rule that you generally will not slaughter everyone in one go.

No rules? Hmm, perhaps I just give my watch to a random bystander...

I've noticed that at least two of you have made the assumption that the players are the only things on the train. Hopefully my most recent post will change that.

Also, both objectives have to be completed. I'll mention if objectives are optional.

it is nice of you to wait :P I'm also using this timing to weed out people who aren't active. I'll obviously make exceptions for those who prewarn inactivity, and I'm giving some leeway as it is the holidays.

Normally, I'll give about two days of no show, no posting before I expect the story to move forwards. I've had too many roleplays die because one person just dropped off without telling anyone. Now, I'll just kill them off.

Yeah, I was originally going to post in reaction to the scratches, but decided I would wait for others before that.

I'm actually sadly going to have to leave this, as I have other projects I'm working on, sorry.

It's sad to see eliminations so early, but if it must be done...
Anyway, I'm gonna wait a sec to see Ingrid's response before I make mine if that's alright.
