I don't understand your question about prefixes and sub forums.
Nevermind, I think I figured it out. The threads are tagged, I see. Clever.

I had thought that RpN was just using tags, like 'Fantasy' and 'Slice of Life' for the roleplays, and RP Zone was using a complete sub forum for each genre. My assumptions were wrong however. xD Still lurking around a little.

Currently on our site, games are separated by Dice or No Dice, inside each list, users can tag their RPs by what ever they want, fantasy, sci-fi, etc.

Subforums are for the organization of the RP Author, they can be what ever they want it to be.

Will the TeamSpeak feature from RP Zone be available on the merged site?

Will the PG-13 site rating be maintained?

Will we be allowed to use HTML for roleplay over views, or will we only be allowed to use BBC coding?

I know I just asked something about the character gallery, but will any new features be added to it in the future (if you know of any)?

Thanks you guys. xD Those should be all of my questions for tonight. I'm just a little curious I guess. I'm not happy about change, but I'm not against it either. Just understand that I have recognized your efforts to improve the site.

@Pineapple @The Dark Wizard @Miz

And for everyone else involved. Not sure how many have told you but so far, i love the changes. The website feels more original with the custom RpNation logo, as well as the front page feeling far less cluttered and much more navigable.

So far i think you guys are the best thing to come our way in a long time and i look forward to seeing more changes as we progress through the next few months. You guys are doing absolutely fantastic! <3 you all :3

Not sure if anyone had asked this question before, but when we merge, what will happens to accounts with the same username but not of the same person? Something universal, for example "Emily" could had been thought of and used by 2 different people on both sites. Which of them get to keep the name? (Not even sure if this is ever going to be a problem, but just curious. Sorry :P )

Also, do you guys have any plan for the accounts that haven't been used in ages? Like the ones where people just registered, left and never came back after that first day, because I saw those around a lot, with no real use for them on our site.

Much of the merger process is handled by the system. Yet the situation you bring up would be why the Administration will have ways to contact us if you are experiencing account issues.

From my understanding, accounts of the same person will be merged. Yet if the accounts have two different email addresses registering them but both have the same username, both will probably gain some arbitrarily distinction. My guess is that each will probably become "Emily1" and "Emily2" (unless those names are taken in which case it will find a number where such numbers aren't possessed) for those two individuals or something similar.

An account that has such an arbitrary name change could then contact us on the Admin Contact forum and let us know they have gained a number. If the other account is not an active user and doesn't have any posts we would probably just let the active reporting user keep the original name. If the two accounts are both active or something similar, we would probably notify Emily2 on behalf of Emily1 so they could discuss out their new usernames (seeing if either person would be willingly to change their name, etc.). After that we will just bestow each person with a free name change.

Each of these would be handled on a case-by-case basis. Yet for most active users, I don't think there is an issue.

Another strange situation is where you have two accounts, both owned by the same person, but have two different email accounts. In that situation, the person should also report to us about the issue so we can merge their accounts for them (and they need to pick which username they want to use on the merged RPN-RPZ site).

I hope that alleviates any worry. Most of the things I mentioned above are just based on what I have witnessed before with these kind of systems. If something different occurs we will give you different directions after the merge to fix any account errors that might appear.

Both sites have a lot of old accounts. Yet account purging is a sensitive topic, a pruning of the member's list might be considered by the Admins for accounts that haven't logged in for a significant time and don't have any posts. Yet I do not think such activities would be occurring during the merge as we have other stuff that needs to be done in that timeframe.
