LEVI STARK, "THE MAN FROM GALILEE"
Oh dear. From her first words, he knew that she'd be trouble; if not now, then at some point in the probably near future. She was clearly a fuss and a flirt; if he was to get any information out of her, he'd have to play to that side of her. And her gambler side. He shifted in his position against the wall. "Word on the street is, you're pretty knowledgeable about a lot of things around these parts. I'm new in town, so I was hoping you could give me the lowdown. Perhaps over... a friendly game of poker?" That should do the trick; an invitation to a conversation, ambiguous enough to mask the fact that he wanted specific information from her.

LUCY VALENTINE

"Oooh!" Lucy cooed, clapping her hands together in excitement. "Oh darling, if you wanted a game you only had to say. No need to be shy!" She gestured behind herself to the end of the hall at one of the Guest Rooms - a crimson light glowing ominously above it to signify it was locked, and began to walk towards it, gesturing for the man to follow.
"Tell you what my lovely, come take a seat with me a moment, I need to freshen up anyway.
."

She swiped her keycard through the reader, the red light gave way to a rather chirpy green and the door swung open. Lucy gestured inside.
"After you darling. And I don't believe you told me your name..."

It worked. Excellent. He didn't expect roping her in to be so easy, but it was rather fortunate that it was. He was a tad uncomfortable at her calling him "darling," but he'd bear through it. He made to enter the private room ahead of Lucy, as she requested, and occupied one of the seats within.

In response to her inquiry about his name, he replied with simply, "Some folk call me Levi. Other folk call me 'The Man.'" That was all anyone ever needed to know.

LUCY'S ROOM

Lucy hadn't taken a seat herself - instead she had used the opportunity to close the door behind her and slip her pistol out of her holster, and as he turned to look at her - the barrel of her pistol was pointed at his head.

"Let's not play games sweetie." She purred, a small smile spreading over her bright red lips. "Do try to answer concisely and don't move an inch - Erica would hate it if I got blood on her chairs. She's such a darling, I couldn't stand it if she was upset in some way."

Lucy considered for a moment, emerald eyes twinkling.
"Now...what's your relationship to Finch?"

And now there was a gun at his head. A surprise, to be sure, but not one that he was unprepared for. He'd had lots of guns aimed at his head in the past, and it was at times like this when the best course of action was to simply follow through with the gun holder's requests. With a side dish of a hard stare. His specialty. His brows beetled as he stared down the barrel of the pistol at Lucy, unflinching, stoic.

"I've no relation with this Finch fellow, dearie," he growled, spitting out the word "dearie" like it was a curse. "If I was in league with him, would I be flying the red?" He glanced significantly at the red scarf hanging from his belt, then returned his gaze to Lucy. "If I must have a relation with him, it's as his hunter. He's the man to find around this colony, from what I've heard. And I've heard a lot." All this was said as succinctly and concisely as possible; any possible ambiguity in his words was completely absent.

OKADA KANAI
She snickered at his outburst, bluish smoke curling past her eyes as she rolled the tumbler around on its base, ice clinking quietly, though a small frown creased her brow. How the hell does anyone not know their own age, if only roughly? You don't forget things like that. That would be a strange, lonely void to float in indeed. No self. This guy just doesn't stop getting weirder, does he? Self is what bloody keeps you alive. Not that this was her problem, of course. And don't fucking make it.
"See?" She grinned at him. "You're just going senile already. So sad."

She raised a brow of derision as he mentioned checking the bounties. Imagine that. His words ran past her as she listened, chin resting on her hand as she leant on the bar; 'Finch' was the first, though she didn't recognise the name; 'big, bad crime boss'. Of a town like this? Cute. No wonder she hadn't heard of him; then 'his men standing around him'. She grit her teeth a little at this, but said nothing. It made sense now - how most of the eyes in here were burning holes into the lady in the red dress, the atmosphere - no doubt there would be competition already. In a town as small as this, there'd be no room to breathe. She made a definite note of this as she mused. She didn't know how quick news spread up here. What was happening back there. She should be ready to run again the very second her face showed up on that board. She was on borrowed time, and the thought made her insides burn with a sudden energy.
But the empty balance on her chit flicked across her mind's eye. It was a time for sudden changes, apparently - she was the hunted. Why not try on the shoes of the hunter? Should be fun, at least. She needed the money. She reassessed the poncho, suddenly - he looked like he probably knew what he was doing. Whatever. This is already way too reckless.

"To get big in somewhere like this, you're gonna need external money. He'll have trading ports. Warehouses. He'll own militiamen for sure. Pay off small-time government and shipment admin. Blackmail if not, or if he's just a short-sighted idiot." She examined her nails as she spoke. The red dust that had gathered there. How it looked like blood. Her voice was tinged with the disinterest of stating (what was to her, at least) the obvious. "If he's smart, he'll move between them. If he's got cocky, he'll start to gather his metaphorical eggs in one. Probably somewhere central from his hubris. Don't overlook the obvious."
She shrugged. Small fish can still move in mysterious ways. "Maybe the redhead's location was temporary, maybe not. It's still probably worth finding her."

So he's a sniper. Kanai didn't miss the curl of the lips in how he said it, though she wasn't sure what exactly to infer from it, or why he appeared to be missing the rather crucial rifle. Arrogance, probably. The bandana he wore over his face disguised all, and had long since begun to bug her - in a small flash of irritation, she leaned slightly forward, hand reached up to pull it away, though it paused briefly mid-air. She thought better of it. She smoothly settled to poke him in his disguised cheek as she spoke. "Yeah, yeah. Sure you don't need your spectacles, jiji? Even so, you mentioned he has goons. I could cover you. Problem solved. Hell, I could set a name and a word out he'd be insane to ignore."
I got here before the news, after all.

She paused for a second then, only partly because she'd remembered the red-haired yeoman. The one with the information. She nodded her head in the direction she'd disappeared off to, conveying her intent and invitation through that movement in a way that was hard to miss. She flashed half a smile.
"Senior citizens first, hm?"

LES moved toward the front of the bar. If a yeoman whom he hired was with Lucy, then she should be safe for now. Then the bartender had a droid give Atticus an order to unlock the door. Civilians, always making things more difficult.

"Excuse me, Erica, is it? I know this is your bar, however there are far too many variables to be considered. One such is the woman in the red dress, another being the most wanted man in this colony is nearby and we can't let the chance of one of his spies being in here and warning him of our presence. The bar being locked is what's best for now and you have my word we will unlock it as soon as possible, besides for now you do have plenty of customers, albeit some unwilling..."

LES knew that, technically, with the patriot act and other laws not yet in effect on mars, the gov couldn't TECHNICALLY take over someone's business or lock it down, even temporarily, however Finch was a special case. If he knew who all was in this tavern he'd just as likely destroy it and kill everyone inside as run off and have his minions try the former. The bar had to stay locked for the least amount of deaths to happen, far as LES was concerned.

Adrian Hawthorne

Adrian stands up, with a bit of wobble from his drink. He is clear headed but he is quite disoriented...
I should probably stick away from shooting now.
He rest his hand on the grip of his revolver, ever so casually
And while I'm at it. I shouldn't look like I'm about to shoot the place up either
Insted her rests his hands on the hard leathery Belt around his waist. He takes a semi-drunk Waddle-stride towards the "Bucket head"(his pet name for LES)
"Aye barmistress, LT. Hawthorne at your service"
he gives a courteous nod by taking his hat off. He fixes his hat back on his head.
"I'm going to have to agree with old Rustbucket. This situation has elevated somewhat drastically. For the interest in your health...." and some of the unfortunate souls in here " we, for sure, need to close this place down."
He feels the alcohols effects lessen in him. Making him able to both think properly and shoot straight.
"If you're worried about security, Rustbucket is a certified Deathbot and I'm the best shot you'll ever meet"
His last statement was satirical. Although he and rust bucket are armed to the teeth, he isn't the best around. But is probably in the 10 ten.

Lucy listened blankly to the man's response, the smug smile that shadowed her pretty features never fading.

A long silence followed. Then Lucy clicked her tongue, dramatically sighed and lowered her pistol.

"Another Yeoman with a death wish. Figures. No one ever wants to spend time with me just for fun anymore...."

Erica Branton

Erica stared blankly at the lawbot and another man as they tried to explain the situation to her. "Two things you dumbasses forgot," she said, starting to get pissed off. "First, there's no telling if one of Finch's moles isn't already here. There's enough people in this bar that are loyal to only their next paycheck that you could be working with the enemy and not even know it. Second, between the service entrance in the back, my sister's front door, and my sister's service entrance, you are covering one out of a possible four doors. Not to mention wireless communications. Which means you either didn't think this all the way through or you're just trying to look tough." Erica put her hands on the bar and leaned forward. "As of right now, all you are doing is costing me customers, talking to me like I'm stupid, and potentially pissing off drunkards who may feel like shooting up the place is a good idea. In other words, you are doing a pretty damn good job of trying to get kicked out of my bar." She leaned in closer and hissed, "Open. The. Door."

Jenna Branton

"C'mon Erica, breathe," Jenna said into the radio. "It's not worth it." What Erica said is partially true, as Jenna had already remotely locked the two service entrances to prevent someone from sneaking into the back, but Erica has a point. The problem was this point was being made to a couple people with guns who didn't seem like the easily intimidated types. Jenna remained on high alert, scanning all of the cameras and watching for any sign of suspicious activity.

LES was ready to snarl, but it settled for a mechanical huff "Look, we dumb asses are a bit smarter than you give us credit for. I'm a portable ham radio." LES raised a finger to what would normally be where a person's ear would be. "I can listen in on almost every frequency available while we are having this unneeded conversation. Anyone tries closed communication, I have that pretty well covered to, with some system jammers to boot. There's a reason I'm called a 'SWAT bot'. Designed for a whole lot more than keeping the law, I'm here to keep total order, and I've been outfitted to do just that, besides we have plenty of numbers here to keep everyone guarded... And watched. Salty has one door, Adrian has the main bar, and I have the back service entrance, or I will as soon as this conversation is over. If you would have the other doors locked that'd help quite a lot, perhaps if that isn't enough for you I could call in for backup and have this place swarming with militiamen inside and out, although I'm sure that'd be detrimental to business, now wouldn't it? Don't convince me you're going to be a problem, to, or maybe I'll have no choice but to call for reinforcements. You are after all, considered to be a high threat while in your own bar."

If LES could smirk, it would. Knowing it probably went too far the machine was ready to head to the back, where conversation was no longer required, but kept a slow pace in case the bar owner had anything else to say before it did.

"One more thing. as for Finch's potential mole. I'm counting on it!"

If Lucy wouldn't talk, then they'd have to interrogate everyone in the bar until they found a weakness. Probably starting with the woman in the red dress herself. She wouldn't talk, of course. LES already knew that. She was too brave, so they'd have to try for someone-anyone else first. Maybe that pesky bar owner, probably the yeomen though. After that, if no one talks, reinforcements would be a necessity, not an option, so no more leverage against Erica at that point. Not for that anyway. Calculations and thoughts raced through the machine's head almost too fast for it to understand them all. Needed to get a tune up sometime, but could LES even trust the local mechanic. "Would probably fry my circuits or turn me into a dance-bot. Or worse, reduce me to a bartending droid. That'd be true irony, right there." The machine thought on this, as well. If the mechanic couldn't be trusted, who could fix, update, and maintenance LES? Hopefully the militiamen and yeomen could get the hell out of here fast. LES was getting sick of playing guard dog, not to mention locking down the bar. There'd be hell to pay for it later. Catching Finch would be worth it, hopefully. Hopefully.

LEVI STARK, "THE MAN FROM GALILEE"
At least the gun was put away. As she had said, it probably wouldn't do to tick off the barmaid by leaving bloodstains all over the back room. He chose not to comment on her "Yeoman with a death wish" statement, mainly because it hit a bit too close to home. Instead, he softened his gaze a little and removed it from Lucy. The gears in his head started turning; if she wanted a visit for fun, then perhaps he could use that.

"Tell you what," he said after a long silence, "you help me out, and I might consider coming back here for an actual game of poker."

Adrian Hawthorne
He tips his cap
"You should listen to ol' rust bucket here. This one here has saved my ass plenty of times before with his judgement. I'd suggest you listen. Or not. Not my problem"
He positions himself in the main area, with a clear sight of the main entrance. His hand is rested on the arm of his chair. He casually pulls his shotgun off his back and leans it up against the chair. He leans back on his chair, relighting his cigarette and continues to smoke it.
Let's hope The lady listens. Be a shame if this bar had no owner.
He stops leaning on his chair. He stands up and walks to the bar
Best not leave this out.
He smirks and grabs his vodka before sitting back at his spot.

"Help you, darling?" Lucy echoed, leaning on the wall as she inspected her fingernails, which were a crimson red - then made a little tut when she noticed several were cracked. Typical.

"I dare say I could, if I had any inclination to do so - I doubt you could afford me darling. Credits are one thing, but trust is an expensive commodity that's running in short supply in this colony; currently I don't believe you have either."

The redhead ran a hand through her hair.
"But tell me what you're exactly after, and I'll consider what sort of arrangement would be..."

She shot him a predatory smile. In any other situation, it might have been an expression of lust - but here it was something more akin to hunger. Like a preying mantis eyeing up an especially juicy fly.

"... Appropriate."

If she was trying to intimidate him with that stare, she was failing miserably.

"I'm after the potential whereabouts of this Finch character that everyone and their mothers are yapping on about with no discretion. Places he's been spotted lately, places he's known to frequent, you know. A distinct lack of vocal filter has clued me in that you're the last person present to have gone after him. Logically, that makes you the prime suspect for a light grilling. All I ask is for is a little insight on where Finch could be; and in return, as long as it's not illegal, I'll give you what you deem... appropriate."

Erica and Jenna Branton

Erica glared at the marshall as he threatened her, but she said nothing. No, she knew better than to get into a firefight with a robot with a badge. However, Erica was petty, and she wasn't going to let this infraction slide. "He hasn't heard a word between us," Jenna said over the radio. "This line is secure, just you and me. It's why we're out here, after all." Erica made no motion to acknowledge her sister. After the marshall left, she pressed a button on her watch. Jenna's computer flashed ALL CLEAR across the screen. "Uh, did you press the right button?" Erica pressed the button again. "Why would... Oh. Got it." Jenna remotely unlocked every door in the Touch of Home and shut down every manual override, essentially preventing anyone from locking the doors. "All clear, then," she said over the radio. Erica wasn't finished. She activated the entire Crew, which due to their programming, would constantly talk to each other on several unsecure frequencies. And with all of them active, they would almost constantly be talking to each other. "Look, I have some business to attend to, but this is kinda holding me up," Jenna said. Erica pressed the ALL CLEAR button again as she walked into the kitchen and checked on the roast while the Crew handled the customers. "I'm not just going to leave just because you want me to," Jenna said. "Just letting you know."

"Gone... After him?"
Lucy repeated, looking surprised. "Is that what the rumor mill is saying?"

Then she started to giggle. "Oh my. That's terribly amusing. No wonder everyone seems so desperate to grab my attention today."

Lucy adjusted her smudged dress a little and then produced a pack of playing cards from the cleavage in her dress - she began to shuffle them with her right hand.

"You're out of your league darling. Yeoman bodies keep piling up around Mr Finch, and you all keep throwing yourselves at him like lemmings. You don't seem like the usual thugs around here, so allow me to give you a teensy bit of advice: Backing off is really the best thing you can do - plenty of smaller fish in the pond; and they're far less likely to bite your arm off."

Zero was slightly annoyed by her poking fun at him by calling him old. This is going to get old fast...old...hehe. Admittedly it was slightly funny with the white hair and all. But things like that are only funny when they are spoken of other people. He wondered why he lost his memory in the first place, spending a moment or two trying his hardest to retrieve memories from the farthest corners of his mind. But his attempts were futile as not a whole lot came up. It did not really matter to him who he was before, as he was so obsessed with what he was doing to care. His job became his identity. Now that his identity was questioned and brought into perspective, he couldn't help but think about it. While thinking, he realized that the woman who sat in front of him was talking which lead to him snapping out of thought and to start listening to what she was saying.

She spoke about the general situation in terms of what Finch had in terms of assets, how he could organize them, how he could travel between them and generally made points of how much easier hunting him down would be if he was a cocky person. "
With all the yeomen that have fallen to him, I am pretty sure he is open to challenge and loves fighting whereas a smarter and a more calculating person would try not to fight personally as that would increase his notoriety. The fact that he specifically is on top of the bounty list within a town this small in the first place probably shows that this guy is a big dumbo. As a person at the head of an organized gang, it wouldn't be too difficult for him to avoid detection for crimes here as those after him only do it for the money and likely do not have the right equipment nor the appropriate communication. It only becomes difficult to evade the bounty board and the law in general, once you commit crimes in bigger cities with higher budgets for defense."

Zero had experience avoiding the law himself. This gave him some grounds to speak on this topic of evading the law. But from what she had told him, it appeared that she herself came from a shady background herself. He grew slightly curious as to what kind of crimes she could have done. His thinking was interrupted by her leaning forwards and her hand reaching up to his face. She was not trying to harm him as she had no weapon. The only thing that she could be doing was to try to unmask him. He instinctively recoiled slightly, only to be even more confused by her poking him in his cheek. "
I can see very well without my spectacles." He then reached up to his own face and pulled his goggles upwards, with him staring at her with his unusually colored red eyes. He then put them back on and made sure they fit comfortably. "They just keep the dust and the sun out of my eyes when I'm trying to shoot...They also make me look cooler." he added jokingly.

She offered to help him out with this bounty, her no doubt wanting a share of the money. She seemed to be somewhat trustworthy. He still made a mental note to keep an eye on her but to have an ally who could cover him was not something he would turn down. "
Well then. I guess were a team. Call me...Zero." He stood up to go in the direction of where the redhead went, him waiting for her to get up. "We do have two obstacles though. One, this tavern is on complete lockdown. And two, my rifle is currently being upgraded next door."

LEVI STARK, "THE MAN FROM GALILEE"
Well, then. She obviously underestimated his league. He had neither the time nor patience to deal with Lucy's constant flirting, refusal to help, and implicit demands to be bribed. "I'll keep that in mind," he growled, while delivering a gaze that simply screamed he had no intention of backing away from the Finch bounty.

LUCY VALENTINE

Lucy broke eye contact first, and shrugged theatrically.

"Stubborn..." she sighed as she finished shuffling her cards - and produced one that was not like the others: Completely red, with a neat golden trim. She casually handed him the card. On closer inspection, it was actually a security Keycard that Lucy must have painted over herself - the sort usually used by guards and official personnel for gaining access to certain buildings around the colony that weren't generally accessible by the public.

"There's a rather quaint little domicile on the far side of the colony I frequent. It's a lovely little place, though some of the clientele is a little uncouth." Lucy said, finally sounding rather serious. Or at least, as serious as she was willing to be. "It's the place to go for the most high stakes games in this backwater colony. Members only."

She smiled slyly at him as she opened her room door and gestured for him to leave.

"Pop by! Play a few games - I dare say you might find the evening very... Informative."

He took the card from her hand and inspected it. It wasn't direct information, but it was a start. A good start. His expression softened slightly as he realized he was one step closer to achieving the goal he'd set for himself here. Observing her gesture, he stood up and made to exit the room. He paused in the doorway and turned back for a moment. "You better know how to play Oxford stud," he quipped, before closing the door behind him.

Once outside the private room, he returned to the bar proper and, instead of returning to his original table, took a seat at the counter. He withdrew his Bible from his satchel again, cracked it open, and made a polite gesture in the direction of the barmaid, hoping to catch her attention.

LUCY'S ROOM - TOUCH OF HOME

Lucy watched her reflection in the mirror, not feeling connected to the woman who was staring back at her. Truth be told, the whole situation was becoming rather stressful. Her arm thankfully, had stopped aching - as had her headache, giving her a moments respite from a constant tedium of pain. Her dress had a rather obvious tear around the hem of her left sleeve as well and she sighed as she realized there was probably no-one in this back water colony that would be able to repair it to her satisfaction. Perhaps it might be worth asking about later....

She ran a hand through her long, red hair. The evening was still young, she certainly had a few hours before her little rendezvous with that Levi character - but as much as she liked being the center of attention, going back to the bar and being surrounded by clueless thugs attempting to interrogate her about Finch didn't really sound all that appetizing. She made a point of learning the names of the Yeoman who frequented the colony, and she knew there were precious few of them that she would rate above "vaguely competent". Hardly the sort that would make useful chess pieces; they were far more likely to get themselves killed - and Lucy wasn't terribly interested in seeing anyone get hurt unnecessarily. She wasn't playing that role today.

Lucy reached into her dress and pulled out the small datapad she had used earlier and flipped it on.

<--- WELCOME TO THE NEW EDEN BULLETIN BOARD --->

<---YOU ARE LOGGED IN AS “YEOMAN: NINETAILS”--->

<---PLEASE SELECT AN OPTION--->

<---CURRENT BOUNTIES--->
She started to scroll down, working her way down the seemingly endless list. Lucy, truth be told did not consider herself a Yeoman, regardless of what others thought. It was a past-time really. A mildly amusing little hobby she enjoyed delving into occasionally when gambling was struggling to pay the bills. She never was interested in the assassinations or bloody work, but favored hunting the white collar criminals - those who simply had avoided paying tax to the government and had managed to escape Earth or other seemingly mundane work. Lucy wasn't the type to put herself in harms way, or risk her life unnecessarily. Let the others deal with that mess. She stopped scrolling as she spotted a name she recognized.

BOUNTY #210-2722: RICHARD LARKIN
WANTED FOR: TAX EVASION
WANTED: ALIVE
LAST SEEN: THE KAISER SEA
REWARD: 200HSC

"Larkin you little rascal..." She purred, a small smile flashing over her lips. She had played a few games with Larkin a few weeks back - he was terrible at Poker. Even worse at paying up. He was a moron and a coward as well - no doubt this would be easy, and it was unlikely any of the "Pros" would bother themselves with such a measly bounty. Plus, the Kaiser Sea was near the colony - she could be there and back in an hour or two, then meet Levi.

Her decision made, Lucy took some time to prepare. She got out of her dress and laid it on her bed and hopped into the bathroom for a quick shower. Afterwards, she returned to her room and pulled a sizable black suitcase out from under her bed. It was a heavy and ominous looking thing, but obediently opened with a chirpy beep when Lucy stroked her finger across the sensor.

A full suit of armor revealed itself, as the suitcase opened out into several layers. Lucy grinned happily as she began to suit up. It had been a while since she had had the opportunity to wear it.

A few minutes of adjusting herself later, Lucy took a moment to admire herself in the mirror.

3e78ee6943ec85c620ff58a884c40b98 (1).png

"Hello Ninetails," She greeted her reflection, placing a hand on her hip. Lucy then hopped back over to the black briefcase and opened another compartment - revealing a slick and eerily advanced looking assault rifle. Pillowtalk. Far more effective than the cheap pistol she had been wielding earlier.

Lucy slung the rifle on to her back and left her room, locking it behind her, humming as she did so.

Rothe Verdante "JUICEMAN"

Rothe sighed as he examined his wallet, "Barely enough for the next month" he thought as he remembered that nearly half his product was gone. Stolen by up and coming gangster and grade A Dirtbag, Tony Finch.
Looking up, a smile flickered across his face as his favorite bar came into view. He'd only been on Mars for four months and Touch of Home had already begun to grow on him with good service and good drinks.
He checked his oxygen meter as he neared the establishment's door. "At least I don't have to worry about breathing..." he thought as he tapped the full meter on his armor. He'd had his equipment looked over, adjusted and repaired mere hours before departing for his favorite establishment. Proper maintenance was important when you lived on a planet like Mars, a planet where the sand often wasn't red for singularly geology, but for bloodshed. A boom rang out over the slums as he finished his thought, "Probably some idiot miner with more explosives then sense." he thought as the noise faded .
He smiled as he reached the front of the establishment, gazing at the colonial style build the structure had.
His smile disappeared moments later as he stepped into the bar, finding it full of armed men and women.
Rothe stopped, checked himself for a second and looked around, "On second glance, these people don't look too bad."
Pulling some credits from his pocket he walked over to a table, Rothe placed them down as he took a seat. Removing his helmet gingerly, Rothe scanned the room a second, more thorough time.
Everyone appeared armed and dangerous, especially the big robot walking away from the bar. A bead of sweat appeared on the side of his forehead as he realized that the machine was a SWATBOT.
"This is not a good night for drinking" he thought to himself as he ordered several shots of Absinthe++.
Reaching into his coat, Rothe adjusted the position of his pistol to a spot more suitable for drawing quickly.
As he finished his adjustment, he took note of a disheveled man with a robotic arm "No doubt about it, that man wants drugs."
Smiling, Rothe leaned back and decided waiting for the room to thin out before talking to the cyborg was probably in his best interests.
"Absinthe++, courtesy of Zack Hall" a voice chirped as a tray appeared on his table.
"The Zack Hall??" he thought as he downed two glasses. "Wasn't he in some cowboy movie??"

Touch of Home.

Her lips flattened into a grimace, the sign creaking with the dry gusts of wind that she had associated with a regular day on this godforsaken planet. The tavern looked welcoming enough she supposed, and after three days of travel she owed herself a glass of whiskey. But that sign, that creaking, meek little sign, made a feeling akin to uneasiness roll in her stomach. The doors swooshed open and a patron stumbled out, a middle aged man with nothing particularly notable about him which probably meant that he lived in New Eden Colony. She mentally blanched at the name. Only desperate people would name a colony after a biblical fantasy.

Then again, desperate people made good business.

"If yer goin' into the tavern boy, I best reckon ye keep yer head on a swivel. There's a dangerous lot drinkin' it up." The man's babbling snapped her out of her thoughts, glacier eyes quickly moving to the stranger as he waddled off towards whatever residence he crawled out from. Her nose crinkled in disgust, momentarily being irritated with being mistaken for a man (that shit always happened much to her dismay) before brushing the incident off in favor of focusing on his warning. Strange. She supposed a brand new settlement like this would get a lot of visitors but she wasn't positive if she liked the idea of a 'dangerous lot'.
She just wanted a drink.

Squaring her shoulders, she realized that she had been loitering outside for long enough. The stairs creaked slightly under her weight as she moved upwards before stepping past the doors and into the bustling tavern. There was a lag as the doors closed behind her, but it was enough to inflame that uneasy feeling in her gut. Gloved fingers tipped her brown hat up slightly, careful to not jostle the bun that held her hair up underneath. She unhooked the breather absently as she let her gaze roam around the room. She took in the different armored occupants, the men and few women who looked as if they could hold their own well enough. But what where all these people....her brows furrowed with the intensity of her thoughts before they smoothed back into her impassive mask. Not wanting to attract attention by standing dumbly in the doorway, she made a b-line for the bar. Without hesitation she slid into a seat, tapping her fingers against the counter mentally willing the barkeep to notice her presence.

She needed a shot.
Or six.

The man next to her pulled something from his satchel, the movement drawing her gaze automatically. A thick book with some worn golden text flashed and it was enough for her to almost instantly know what it was. She snickered, rather loudly, but couldn't really find the will to care. Movement behind her drew her gaze over her shoulder, her eyes inspecting the man with the weird looking goggles briefly before settling on the girl he was speaking with. She caught a glint of metal at the mans side and almost swore under her breath, was that a....actually she wasn't sure what type of pistol it was from the quick glance she got, but it hardly looked like anything she wanted to tango with.
Gwen jerked her attention back to the man beside her. Upon looking at him, he looked as if he were packing some serious hardware as well...her cheeks flushed for half a second at the phrasing of her own thoughts before pulling herself back to reality.

"Is it just me or is there an unusual amount of bounty hunters in here?"
She leaned an elbow on the counter, voicing the comment to no one in particular though she was looking at the man beside her so it could be assumed that he was the one her question was for.

LEVI STARK, "THE MAN FROM GALILEE"
Levi's attention was once again diverted from what he was doing, this time by a comment from another female newcomer. (My, the bar was filling up fast.) He had detected a snicker from her aimed in his direction; he had a hunch regarding what she found so amusing, and he didn't appreciate it. He wasn't exactly sure whether her comment had been directed at him or not, but she was looking at him, so he assumed that she wanted a reply from him. He obliged. "What's even more unusual is the fact that they all seem to want to go after the same man," he said shortly.
