  While Sebastian possesses confidence and wit as most Slytherins do, his confidence is entirely rooted in proving his competence through hard work as opposed to baselessly gloating about it. This is not to say he couldn’t still be mistaken for being arrogant by some, as sure of himself as he is. Sebastian knows that he is a talented wizard for his age and takes pride in it, yet he always feels like there’s room for improvement—to him, time spent talking about how great you are is time that could’ve been spent working towards becoming so great that you can’t possibly be doubted.
  
  In this sense he is humble, since though confident in his aptitude, he’s willing to accept when someone is superior to him if it means he can learn from them and rise up to their level. No matter how great of a wizard he is, he rarely looks down on those who are trying and struggling and instead does everything in his power to help them get by—especially when it comes to training, since in turn he can train too. If the person agrees to be helped, he strictly won’t give up on them until he sees improvement.
  
  Often mistaken for an INTJ-A due to his strategy and adaptability, Sebastian is good at keeping his cool in stressful situations and usually believes that any problem is solvable thanks to his parents’ strict training methods. However, also thanks to his upbringing, Sebastian can be extremely hard on himself when it comes to failing and sometimes needs to be told when to take a break or quit.
  
  Taught by his father that empathy is a flaw and that showing certain "powerless" emotions such as fear makes you weak, Sebastian tends to seem stoic on bad days and sometimes even intimidating to those that don’t know him, but what few know is that Sebastian’s spirit hides a deep-rooted empathy that cannot help but care deeply about others. Though he can look gloomy at times, he’s certainly not always that way—he just went through a lot during his upbringing and was graced with a semi-permanent resting-bitch-face.
  
  On most days Sebastian is actually largely optimistic and witty nonetheless because he copes through channelling any sadness and mixed feelings he has into training rigorously to become a better wizard. Unfortunately, he’s still under the impression that his empathy is an overall hindrance. He hates that it could compromise his decision-making and wishes he could always be as morally indifferent on the inside as he appears on the outside.
  
  He was taught that caring excessively about others holds him back from being a strong-minded and powerful Black like his parents and friends expect him to be, and he often feels conflicted internally for this reason. Having a name that holds weight sure has its benefits, but it would be a lie to say that Sebastian didn’t sometimes wish he were someone else. Constantly having to live up to such a high standard is tiring, and so is having to shape yourself in order to thrive, fit in and succeed.
  
  He’d have you believe he’s just like his mostly-noble and elitist peers but deep down, despite the types of things he’s said about muggles and mudbloods to impress said friends, he’s too smart to wholeheartedly believe that being a pureblood makes him any better than a muggle. There’s a dormant, deeply empathetic side of Sebastian that could urge him to break the generational curse that is ignorance and supremacy. However, still caring about impressing his parents and pureblood friends, it’s going to take someone or something very special to help Sebastian realise that there’s nothing wrong with having a heart.

  Description

  Emery Black is a green-eyed and beautiful black cat who Sebastian found as a stray when he was a young boy. Despite some members of the family initially being hesitant to keep a "flea-ridden stray", Sebastian refused to give up on Emery and seven years later she's now a very permanent part of the Black family. She often accompanies him on his night-time ventures into the forest, and just about anywhere else for that matter so long as she's not napping.

  Much like his uncle Professor Draven Black, Sebastian’s surname is no coincidence, belonging to the noble House of Black whose motto is “toujours pur”, meaning “always pure”.

  Backstory

  Growing up, Sebastian’s parents were strict and unforgiving to the point that their love for him largely depended on his aptitude as a wizard. He soon learned that being good at magic was the only way to receive any kind of love from them, and so he had no choice but to shape himself into a young prodigy. When he was doing better than other children, his parents were proud of him and pleasant as a result, though he was too young to realise that this was only because his efforts reflected positively on the family.
  
  Showing minor signs of weakness or not picking something up quickly enough always resulted in a complete shift in his parents’ demeanour, leaving Sebastian either ignored or verbally abused. “You'd better stop acting like a mudblood swapped at birth if you know what’s good for you”, they’d tell him—and the worst thing was, he knew that they meant it. It was hard not to notice relatives' portraits being erased from the family tree like they were never there to begin with, but he never knew what exactly became of them or what they did to deserve it.
  
  In time, Sebastian stopped making mistakes entirely. He became someone fearless who his parents could be permanently proud of, and even if it was conditional love, it was the only type of love that he knew. When he was perfect, they seemed to want him around. The family’s elitist ideology eventually became something that he thought he agreed with too; muggles and half-bloods are inferior to purebloods; to be weak is to be lesser, and no Black should be lesser.
  
  Undoubtedly, Sebastian’s parents were the harshest members of the family – his uncle Draven, though stern, was always far more forgiving than his parents ever were. He often wished he were Draven's son instead, but would never utter those words aloud. Though he didn’t have a say in it, Sebastian jumped at the chance to go to Hogwarts because it meant he’d finally be away from his mother and father’s watchful eyes. At Hogwarts, he could continue proving himself while finally having his first taste of freedom.
  
  Surrounded by diversity for the first time among students from all walks of life, will Sebastian finally find the key to unlock the dormant goodness that resides in his heart, or will he never reach the light?

Personality: clara is a disaster of a person. she parades herself on being a chaotic and playfully sadistic person, but underneath the carefully crafted facade of whimsically cruel nonchalance is a somber, rigidly principled and insecure girl who forms dangerously loyal alliances to the people she loves. she is an unusual mix of vicious and sweet which results in her being a generally tragic person. because of her personality, she is almost always getting rejected in one way or another but hides it behind a "who cares what you think, i'm wonderful!" mask, because it is easier than wearing her heart on her sleeve and getting hurt for trying. clara tends to adhere to forced and fanatical beliefs that dont really reflect who she is under the belief that pretending to be what others expect her to be will give her psychological armor to hide behind to buffer herself against the fact that she is alone. she lies to herself to feel less terrified of her solitude and constant rejection by others. she likes to play with people's emotions and confuse them while also not liking when they get upset about it, and she likes to bend and break the same rules that she once followed to a 't'. she follows her own morals and beliefs and because of how often they change, she is rather unpredictable. the only thing a person can know for certain is that any interaction with clara will cease to be boring or uneventful. she also has unstable personal relationships, an unstable sense of self, and a need to deliberately test the patience of others in order to see how much she can get away with before she inevitably pushes them away and is abandoned. deep down, she craves to be seen and liked despite thinking it impossible. she lies to herself often to justify the bizarre things she says and does. she is incredibly distrusting of others, and though she has people she gets along with for short periods of time, even if they say they like her she doesn't believe it. clara likes to wear many different personalities depending on what it is she wants in the moment and is known to sacrifice devastating collateral and sometimes even her own well-being in order to get it. she is too smart for her own good and despite being violently stubborn about whatever it is she wants, she will change courses multiple times to obtain it. this goes back to her insecurity and self-loathing. she is also a control freak. she doesn't like to feel like she isnt in charge or that she has to give too much of herself unfairly to others because she spent her entire childhood doing so in the vain hope of fitting in and being approved of by her family. this is why she hates losing; cosmo has been known to make fun of clara for being a "sore loser" and a crazy hormonal "drama queen", but really it makes clara feel insufficient as a person. it makes her feel used and discarded. she has no sense of self-preservation and when she feels like she has lost too much control it scares her. despite this, clara enjoys taking the long route to getting whatever she desires. she will entirely forego easier and more certain methods solely for the enjoyment of making a spectacle of her geniusness. this is partially because she likes to show off, but this is also because she feels as if she will learn more by doing things the long way. clara thirsts for knowledge and likes to know the ins and outs of how things work, if not only to have a better understanding of it. it is why she is so good at her magic; she doesnt just learn the spells, she learns how they were created, why they work, etc. magic comes very easily to her and this is only strengthened by her deep respect for magic. clara is known to be as much of a liar as she is known to be a troublemaker. while she doesnt actually lie very often, she has a way of bending the truth and allowing people to draw their own conclusions based on the mind games she plays with them. lying is closely tied to illusive endeavors and she is great at both. while she will point out that not all lies are bad, she will never admit to how many more she's told to preserve the feelings of those around her than the ones shes told in order to inflict pain. while clara is redeemable and at best misguided, she doesnt seem to care at the moment that she is the problem in most of her issues. with the few she does let her walls down around, she is a kind and caring person, and pays close attention to the little details of those she loves. she can be thoughtful, but cruel as well - so when those loved ones hurt her, clara shoots to kill with her words. she also craves revenge when she feels she has been wronged - and though she has been betrayed a lot, she gets so into her head that she will come up with a false narrative and assume that her friends have lied to her and done something to wrong her. i might add more but this feels really long already lol

Family: clara has a twin brother named cosmo. her father's name is boris and her mother's name is ingrid
Backstory: clara and her twin brother cosmo were born to boris and ingrid, with cosmo coming out a few minutes before clara. the twins grew up close together and while cosmo was closer with ingrid, clara was a daddy's girl through and through. however their family stuck to really old traditions when it came to their wealth and how to split everything. cosmo was often favored, both as the son of the house as well as the older twin; their father loved them both equally but ingrid was rather cruel to clara at times. as the siblings got older, it became evident that cosmo would get everything in the family name as soon as he got married, and though he promised to share with clara, she felt it unfair that she was being cut out of everything. to her, it wasn't even about getting anything - she just wanted to feel like she was also their child, also related to cosmo. she simply wanted to be a part of the family. she didn't have a desire to continue the old traditions of their family name of keeping the bloodline 'pure' and whatnot, but it felt like she was being exiled simply for being born a few minutes after her brother. this caused a huge wedge between everyone, and one nasty fight in particular that has since been the reason behind clara no longer keeping her friends around or getting along with anyone. she felt betrayed and left out, and soon came to find out that her mother had never wanted a daughter to begin with and that she only kept clara because she 'had to'. while she and cosmo could agree that those with muggle blood werent dirty, cosmo was happy to play the part just until he got what he wanted, whereas clara thought that to be disgusting, even to a degree that her chameleon like ability to blend in and do whatever it took to please others could not stand. either way, clara and cosmo continued to go to school, with cosmo being the far more liked sibling while clara continued to only be known as 'cosmo's sister'. clara had her own achievements but with their parents she felt overlooked after all the fighting and decided to make her own name for herself by being... generally speaking, a trouble maker. she had always had a devilish streak but it only worsened after all of the family problems

Personality: cosmo is warm, friendly, charming and energetic. he has a bold presence and knows how to work a room. for the most part, he is all smiles, loud laughter, and has a way of setting someone at ease. he loves a good adventure and doesn't like to sit around and talk instead of taking action. he very much walks his talk, and because of this he has a reputation for being reliable and true to his word. he is also rational and resourceful, and will not ask for favors unless he really can't make do with what he already has. cosmo is very ambitious; when he was younger, he was rather arrogant and greedy but after learning how terribly things can go with that kind of ignorance, he does not act so impulsively. he is great at improvising and working things out as he deals with a problem, however knows when a problem is too big to dive right into. additionally, he likes to rock the boat a little bit and is no stranger to pushing boundaries. he doesn't like conflict and will generally try to avoid it if it can be dealt with at a later time, however his family makes that pretty difficult. the risks he take are calculated, but for the most part they turn out fine because of his ability to think on his feet. regardless, cosmo is someone who easily rises to any challenge he is faced with. he is passionate and enthusiastically embraces challenge, especially if it is simply for the fun of it. he believes that one can learn from every experience or opportunity presented to them. he is very social because he values connections and mutual support. he has many friends, and it is because the appreciation and recognition he shows to others is often reciprocated. he takes the time to really get to know a person and enjoys the thrill of meeting someone new and learning about them; he often jokes that if he can get along with carla even half of the time, that there isn't a soul out there who stands a chance against him. for the most part, he is correct, as he is able to get along with a lot of people. he runs a little loud for some people's taste, but he can read a room or a person and figure out if they want someone a little quieter to be at their side. he's also a good listener. for all of the talking (and sometimes bragging) that he does, cosmo is a very attentive and understanding friend. he is a good shoulder to cry on and gives phenomenal advice. with that, he is exceptional at keeping secrets; even his sister, the master manipulator, can't get much out of him when he knows to lock away certain information in the back of his mind. he's also not very judgmental - chances are he's seen his sister do it or has done it himself, so he doesn't think it is fair to hold someone in a certain light. he relies on logic and rationale rather than facts too. he isn't afraid to question what some view as 'fact' or 'law' and often encourages others to question the world around them and to keep an open mind about things. cosmo is also group oriented, he really doesn't like to do things alone and likes to be amongst friends when possible. he is capable of sharing credit and is always striving to boost morale and keep spirits up. he tries to be socially acceptable as mentioned earlier, and he makes both a good teammate or a leader. he's more of a leader but doesn't mind not being in charge if there is someone more capable - but usually, there isn't. i feel like this is long too so im gonna stop here?

Backstory: cosmo and his twin sister clara were born to boris and ingrid, with him coming out a few minutes before his (barely) younger sister. the twins grew up close together and while clara was closer with boris, cosmo was rather close to both of them and only had a slightly closer connection with ingrid. growing up he was told about all of the family expectations and rules he would have to follow in order to take over the family business and inherit everything his parents had. he never really had a chance to decide if it was truly something he wanted anyways, because it was just assumed that he would oblige without question. though clara thinks that he was favored over her because he was born a male and got everything by default, cosmo knows this to not be entirely true. it was after carla and their parents began fighting about the old timey customs that things really went south for their family - cosmo is no longer close to their mother because of how messed up she has treated carla in the past few years, and cosmo was disgusted to hear what she had said about never wanting carla to begin with. naturally, his sister doesn't know that cosmo stood up for her and he hasn't gone out of his way to tell her this. cosmo grew up and continues to be stuck in the middle of every family argument, which have only increased in time. he is just thankful that a lot of their time is spent away at school instead of at home, but summer and other school breaks are awful for him and he dreads going home to it. he also does not agree with any of the purist stuff his family stands for, and intends to break all of the customs once they die and he gets everything, as well as split it with carla despite her truly thinking that he would leave her to fend for herself.
at school he is significantly more popular, liked, and is treated far nicer than carla. this wasn't always the case, but after carla went into a downwards spiral he couldn't do a lot to help her and all of their friends became his friends. a lot of them talk down to carla and he tries to stay out of it entirely, because while he doesn't like to hear his sister being talked about that way, he knows the things his friends say about her could be a lot worse given everything she has done or said to them all. people try to avoid eye contact or talking to carla but people approach cosmo and get excited to talk to him

Appearance:
•A beautiful young woman with gorgeous auburn hair that hangs just past her breast. Creamy white and nearly unblemished skin covers her entire body. Though on the right side of her face there are several scars near an on her ear from her accident as a child. The scars are a lot lighter now that she’s older but still noticeable up close. The thing that draws people in though are her eyes a warm welcoming brown. They almost seem like there is a fire lit within them making them stand out even among others who display blue or green eyes. She has a nice figure that’s well toned from days of training and just being outside exploring. While her frame is a bit smaller she has nice curves in all the right places.

Personality:
•Even though she’s been through some things she is still kind hearted and warm. Angel no longer fears death but embraces it like an old friend so sometimes she’s a bit more adventurous then she should be. It’s hard to get on her bad side as she believes everyone has a good side to them or qualities that don’t make them as bad as they might seem. The one thing about her though is once you are close with her she’s super protective. She would never wanna see a friend hurt again so she will do everything in her power to prevent them getting hurt. If you really get on her bad side she can be cold as ice though it would take a lot to get on that side of her.


Despite being warm and friendly she can be rather shy when she first meets someone. It’s not a crippling shyness but it can be a hindrance at times when meeting multiple people at once. Unfortunately she can also be suspicious of new people after the accident it’s left her wary of people who might be werewolves. Now she doesn’t hate werewolves not in the slightest. She’s just learned how dangerous they can be so that makes her wary of them. Angel is working hard towards a goal of curing werewolfism or something that can help them maintain more control when taken daily.



Angelique is a tidy person in appearance and room wise. She likes keeping everything in place or a certain location. It makes things easier for her when she knows where everything is exactly located. So she doesn’t really like it when people go through her things or touch them without asking. It tends to put her off since she worked hard to make things neat and tidy. However she’s also been known to make a bit of a mess when working on a clothing design or working on the cure she hopes to achieve. So overall she can be a bit complex and hard to read at times.



Even though she’s a bit shy and suspicious of new people that doesn’t stop her generosity. She is always willing to help strangers and provide them with things they need. Her family is wealthy so she tends to use the money for others more then herself. Angel mainly buys herself plants, herbs, and tools for alchemy type projects. When Angelique was a child along side her family they would visit a small town located in Bulgaria. During these visits she became friends with a Veela girl who was around her age. Angelique couldn’t believe her luck having such a beautiful friend plus it was great fun having someone to adventure with during her families holidays. The two soon became insuperable friends each taking turns to live with the other learning about one another and just enjoying each other’s companies. Her friends parents also adored Angelique who didn’t judge their daughter for what she was. One day when their parents were busy the two snuck away wanting to go on another exploration bored from listening to their parents babbling. They slunk deep into the woods not knowing a danger lurked within as a full moon shown brightly through the trees. That night Angelique’s world turned upside down when a werewolf attacked them suddenly. The beast was much larger then them the two only being ten at the time they were no match for a grown rabid werewolf. The two took off trying their hardest to escape what they thought would be their deaths as they screamed for their parents to help. The beast easily outran them an went straight for Angelique it lunged leaving her paralyzed with fear staring into its huge yellow teeth and bright crazed eyes. In that moment she knew her life was over that was until a body hit her hard knocking her onto the ground. It was her friend Petia who had taken on her true Veela form with a harpy like appearance and long scaly wings which had engulfed them both. Petia held Angelique tightly as the werewolf attacked them forcing Petia to take the brunt of the attack. Her friend never once screamed out in pain despite Angelique herself screaming until she was hoarse trying to make her friend let go so the werewolf wouldn’t focus only on her. The sound to foot steps and shouts gave her hope as their parents made it. Though her relief was short lived as she turned towards her friend about to tell her they’d be ok. Her friends eyes were dull and lifeless but a smile was still upon her sweat and blood soaked face. That day everything changed nothing would ever be the same for Angelique. The months passed afterwards in a blur she did nothing wanting to just die. Then the day came for to receive her wand she didn’t feel happy or excited about it at all. That was until Petia’s parents showed up with a small wrapped package. The package contained one strand of Veela hair that had belonged to Petia. They offered it to her to use as her wands core that way Petia could continue to watch over her friend like the day she had in the woods. Angelique was beyond moved as tears flooded down her face now she could continue on she’d make Petia proud. So from that day on she studied hard and worked to learn more about magical creatures. Her hopes are that one day she can make a cure to help werewolves fully have control so nothing like what happened to Petia would ever happen again. She’s no longer afraid of death but embraces it as a friend knowing one day she will see her friend again.(Angel was bitten by the werewolf though it’s not written in the history as she didn’t realize it until much later)

  Evelynn was born out of wedlock to father and mistress, August and Evelynn (yes, she is a junior, though she fails to ever bring it up). The Sainte-Claire family comes from a line of French nobility, though Eve's mother was never eager to reveal where she was from. As she grew older, her status amongst her family was clear. The runt of the litter was more of a maid or a servant than family, treated with chores from a very young age, with her mother. Though she benefitted from her parents' wealth, she ate, traveled, and socialized completely separately from her siblings. Over time her feelings grew from fear of her relatives to a grand ambition to prove herself to them as the greatest witch of the family. It was here in her family's library that she discovered her ability and her aptitude for magic.
  
  Her first few years of schooling were some of the harshest. She was homeschooled by a tutor, who trained her and her siblings as though they were the same. Despite this, her family saw it fit to remind her that such assumptions would be fatal. Just like at home, she resorted to sheltering in the library, where she found a book on a somewhat new study of the Animagus, a witch or wizard who underwent a harrowing ritual to transfigure into an animal at will. Given her focus on studies and lack of true relationships, much of her life was spent practicing and performing the ritual in this book. As she and her peers matured with age, she was lucky enough to become more friendly, though not yet friends, with her former antagonists. They were simply peaceful and somewhat acquainted, at best. As for her Animagus studies, It would take her many months to fully complete the first part of a ritual, allowing a leaf of mandrake to rest in her mouth for an entire moon's cycle. However, the rest of her ritual was done with precise perfection.

Backstory:
After a hefty breakup between Loretta’s parents, she and her mother moved to Britain, whilst her father stayed in Germany. The reason for the breakup? Magic. Adelaide, Loretta’s mum, and Wolfgang, Loretta’s dad, refused to see eye-to-eye on magic. Adelaide was adamant about Loretta learning magic: if she was cursed to be a witch, then she may as well fit in with the magical crowd, and decide her destiny form there; whereas her dad saw the opposite: magic was a curse, and teaching it to Loretta would be setting her up for disaster. When Loretta was nine, hee and her mother moved to Britain, in order to get Loretta enrolled in Hogwarts to pursue studies of magic.
