Veronica blushed and she looked away, her wings shuffled again

Alaster leaned back on his chair


"Have you gotten use to your wings yet"


He asked as he stretched his neck and started to relax

Veronica glanced to her wings, extending then the fading them a few times she paused to give them a few test flaps before looking back to Alaster " I guess "

A sinister smile formed on his face as he stood up


"OK let's get started, first spread your wings like this"


He said as he spread his wings as far as he could

Veronica quickly shook her head " I don't want to fly right now the boat is about to set sail "

"Don't worry your not going to fly just yet, just do as I do"


Alaster said as he flapped his wings

Veronica hesitated then stood up and she fully extended her wings as far as they would go, her feathers stretched out... All and all her wings where twice the size of her body

"That's good, now flap your wings together"


Alaster said as he flapped his wings again

Veronica didn't flap very hard but she made a small gust of wind, she wasn't sure at what angle she should hold her wings when flapping

"Come on you can do better than that"


Alaster said as he flapped his wings again creating a gust that pushed veronica back a bit

Veronica stumbled and she flapped her wings once to help her stand then she furrowed her eyebrows and flapped a little harder through it just ruffled her hair and his

Alaster brushed his hair back to normal


"Much better try again, try to knock me off my feet"


He said as he folded his wings away

Veronica hesitated " Are you sure? " she asked thing her head a little and she pulled her wings back ready to flap

"Yes I'm sure, think I'm some creep that keeps harassing you"


Alaster said as he stood up straight with his feet together

Veronica clamped her mouth shut, setting her jaw I'm place she furrowed her eyebrows and flapped as hard as she could making a very strong gust of wind that even made her stumbled back after lifting off the ground an inch or two then landing right back down

Fell back onto his ass as he watched her lift off the ground for a moment


"I guess that worked"


Alaster said as he sat up and looked at Veronica

Veronica blinked and relaxed then smiled and giggled which turned to a laugh

"I didn't touch a nerve did I"


Alaster said as he stood up and walked over to Veronica

Veronica tensed a little and looked away, she stopped laughing

Alaster started to panic as he thought


"Oh crap, I upset her how do I fix this"


Alaster tapped veronica's shoulder and ask


"I'm sorry, what did I say to upset you"

" Sorry, its fine... Just memories of being bullied " Veronica said shuffling her wings

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to drag out old painful memories"


Alaster said as he hugged her

Veronica blinked when he hugged her and she laid her head of on his chest " Its OK... I think its good to let out all those emotions I kept bottled up "

Alaster let veronica go and backed up


"OK I'm going to go to the pool want to join me"

Veronica slightly shook her head " One I don't have a bathing suit and two technically I'm still a ghost so I'd be kind of freaky to see just water moving by itself " she giggled
