iight Ms. Sparrow Ms. Sparrow not to pull a Baku here (no offense I love you dawg), but what the hell were we doing here? I voiced my disapproval in the post, but what sort of secret rebellion strolls into their enemy's jaws like that? There's no reason all the non-fighters shouldn't be dead in the next few posts.

And also...why is Aodren suddenly nervous? He didn't expect some sort of loud outburst from the rebellion HE KNEW was gonna be there? And like...if the crowd is cool with a high ranking noble bitch slapping some girl they'd certainly be cool with the king being all "Yea fuck you I don't have to show you anything have fun fighting monsters". You're saying that the crowd believes a REBEL over him?

And if they do, why don't we just go appeal to the crowd? Why have we been running through all these loops if the general populace is so gullible we can just be all "that dood is evil join us"?

Is everyone a sheep? They disapprove Jeod for agreeing with a noble because they're judgmental of outsiders but they're not loyal enough to be like "yea she's clearly lying"?

IDK I'm not a King but if I had enemies coming to my house I'd certainly be ready for them to pull some shit...

Once again, your RP your rules. You're a better writer than I am but like...a blind man can see the holes in this plan. I ain't the brightest crayon in the toolshed but if I was in a minority where the majority wanted me dead I'd probably be a little more careful about sneaking around near that majority.

I love ya though Sparrow despite the fact that I've been chained in the basement without food for the past week. Call me king of the rats.

Well, for one, Aodren never invited us. He never would’ve. We walked in, with the purpose to interrupt it, however brief, because we needed to make an entrance before Aodren covered their arrival up, because of his own biases. He only briefly knew of their presence and even then had no way of knowing they’d be bold enough to walk into the ball. Had we have tried to arrange a meeting, they would have wanted to dispose of us quietly, not only to avoid aiding us at all, but so the populace didn’t know of the rebellion at all and there would be no talk of it from the people or any more Sarthenfall favoring Delchistrier’s that main remain sympathetic to the country, to turn against the King for killing a bunch of royals. We had to make ourselves known, loudly. They aren’t necessarily our enemies but they aren’t our allies right now either. We need them, we’re desperate.

We do need to appeal to the crowd. That’s why we’ve had to be polite not only to the council members but to save face in general, but ultimately it comes down to in the end to winning the council members and Aodren over to get the troops we need, but keep enough face to that the populace is comfortable with that decision and will not turn against us at any point.

Secondly, the crowd doesn’t believe anything right now. In fact, they certainly lean more towards the King compared to a bunch of foreigners. However, Aodren is already a fairly disliked King thus for for his indiscretions and irresponsibilities. They don’t necessarily trust him to the fullest extent, though more so trust him then the rebellion, yes. Azalea is a bold, reckless character and this in no way sets anything in stone for what’s going to happen. She is a flawed character that makes a multitude of bad decisions on impulse at times. But nonetheless, should Aodren refuse to do anything and call her out for lying, it will make them all grow nonetheless and the Courts general disposition towards him may in fact worsen for it, less trust in him if anything. Especially if Nox were to be revealed at a later point instead and it were discovered Aodren was lying. As of now, the Court is in general disbelief towards Azalea’s outburst, naturally, and Aodren will try and twist this in his advantage. In no way am I saying what she did was a good idea nor a completely terrible one. But because of Aodren’s current poor ruling, rumors and gossip because of this, should he refuse, would put him down in favor with his people some more. Should that be what happens, unless the party (our own) can currently making a rational, pushing argument to push the people a little more to their side to force Aodren’s hand. Convince the Court to lean towards them the slightest. All depends on how players and people respond to this that will dictate my next post and it’s result.

Thirdly. Though yes, I love you too, and your sense of humor is great, the next time you have questions or issues, talk to me privately and I will answer them and try to explain it the best way I can. I too am a flawed writer, and not perfect, but I am doing my best here and I would ask you have patience with me on how I do this all. This is my first long running story. So rather then calling me out for everyone to see with what you perceive as flaws and such or issues and questions you have, message me privately.

If any of you also share any concerns, I’d encourage you to message me privately so we can work anything out or answer any questions

Look Sparrow you are a few years younger than I am and yet you're way smarter and way more mature than I am, so I expect you to understand where I'm coming from. If I didn't care for this RP I wouldn't say anything, and everyone here is in the same boat (meaning we all care). We all waited a solid 2-3 months when you vanished and jumped right back where we left off when you returned. No, you don't owe anyone an apology-we're all glad to do it because we all want to be apart of this. You're special to all of us, and me askin you to clarify or me giving you my opinion is NOT-I repeat NOT- me calling you out. It's me trying to work with you to have a better understanding of the story and to help you develop it.

I myself would love to be a good enough writer to actually make my own RP (or better yet write my own book). I have so many stories that dance in my own head it's painful that I'm not talented enough to put them on paper, and when I see someone as talented as you seemingly botch a pretty easy scene here it makes me wanna help you, despite if it's wanted or not. I'm the type of dude who is gonna voice my opinions to you not to try to take a shot or to bring you down, but to help you get better.

We all love and respect you. Nobody is trying to takeover this story and if you told everyone you wanted us all to kill our characters we'd do it in a heartbeat. We've all invested time and heart into this, and the reason why I brought it here instead of a private message is because I believe we are all close enough to learn and benefit from it together. I haven't played ball in a while, but honestly I preferred it when my coach gave me the business in front of the team. It held me accountable and it put everything on the table for everyone to see. If he screamed at me like a lunatic (which has happened) with the goal of bringing me down instead of trying to make me better, that's where we dip from trying to build you up to tearing you down. I ain't trying to do that, I'm trying to voice my concerns so that you can smack me and show me how you defend your own ideas (which you do well).

Quality doesn't come easy. I ain't too old yet, but I'm old enough to know that it takes a hot fire to make a strong sword. If you'd still prefer me to pm you (which you don't answer ) or chatsnap you (which you also don't answer) I'll gladly do it, but know that me bringing it here isn't me trying to bring you down, it's me trying to make us all better; and hell, you showing me up in front of everyone makes you that much more of a badass.

Touche for the first point, and I get that in a story we're supposed to have flaws and bad plans. I'm excited for where we go, but as a brobean who is trying (key word trying) to RP an intelligent character, all these near suicidal plans are gettin him rattled up. I understand that our love story between Ray and Azalea is the main story and the rest of us lads are side characters, but as any good story goes we gotta give them a bit of an arc. Or kill them off. Whatever pleases you. I'm tryin to give Jeod more and more of a reason to really back this rebellion but it's difficult for me when we're swandiving headfirst into an empty pool.

Soooo let me just sum up my points here so you get what I'm sayin:
For one, I'm not mad at you or anything nor am I about to quit or think you're unfit to run this. This RP is the longest standing one I've ever been a part of and I am honored that I am a part of it. The reason it's been goin on for so long is because you're an excellent storyteller and writer, and I doubt it'll end any time soon.

For twos, the main thing that tickled my pickle was the fact that Jeod just "lost" (sure I get it, gimmie a PC loss, I'll be eating another L if we actually have to fight in the pits) due to a 10 minute convo that went nowhere, but somehow Azalea just won by screaming some crazy nonsense right at the king-or if she didn't win she made him "start to lose for the first time tonight". So like, that just kinda throws me up in the air but it was wrong of me to voice that and you explained that really well; so I'm sorry, I was wrong to say that.

Three(zees), I'm aware that you didn't like it when Baku called you out here, and that's not what I'm trying to do. I am putting it here because I feel like we're all close enough that we can discuss things like this in the open. I'm not cutting you down or trying to call you out, I'm looking for clarifications or maybe changes. If you strongly defend your point (like you just did), then hell you're right and I'm wrong and we're ALL the better because of it. If you end up changing something for the better, then good we're ALL the better for it. I'm not challenging you or tryin to cut you down-even if I cut you in half you'd still be bigger than me. I'm tryin to help in my own stupid and tough way. Bear with me, I'm not perfect either.

Fourth and finally, know that I do not mean any sort of offense to you or any other player. This is my favorite RP and the best one I've ever been a part of, and I only voice my concerns because I want it to survive. That said I can keep my mouth shut or keep it in your dmz if you still wish it, but I hope we can dab past this (yes dab). Feel free to take it out on Jeod. You beat me I'm not THAT prideful-I'll take my knee.

Ps-When I say you ain't gonna answer your dmz and chatsnaps you know I'm jokin with ya. 50% of what I say is a joke, the other 80% is just nonsense. Only 15% of what I say counts.

*Sits back* I'm content for the most part. Any issues I have are very minor at the moment. Nothing worth bringing up and is more related to my mental state.

I do value your opinion, and I am glad you took the time to voice these concerns with me, truly, despite coming off as a bit sensitive in the end ehehe, I am appreciative of it cause it wouldn’t be a story without all you guys and I never want anyone to be unhappily role playing or feel excluded or uninvolved. From the “first time that night” line, I didn’t mean to imply that Azalea won, apologies if I did, as I want to give other characters opportunities to add in their inputs and reactions to what’s occurring before dictating what happens. I meant more so that for the first time Aodren was put in an uncomfortable position for the first time that night, like how many of the OC’s were when talking with their assigned councilmen and women. I AM still learning, yes, and I’m certainly not perfect or the best at it, but the input does help nonetheless. I would personally and have been thinking of more then a few ways to have characters have their own arcs and such to give through as well, because I never wanna make them feel like side characters or unimportant naturally. This scene was a little tougher because of all the NPC’s I had to write out and okay around with, so it has in fact offered less opportunity. I do plan on providing more choices and opportunities to the multitude of characters shortly as time goes on. I love ya all and I’m glad you’ve all stuck through on this story with me this far despite my long ass leave. But I do appreciate the feedback, as long as it’s constructive and I know where your coming from, as Inheritance has explained here. Anyhow, I am working on bettering the story and giving more options to all players alike while moving the plot forward, just bear with me.

also shhhhh I’m bad at Snapchat

You came at a perfect time. Sparrow was just about to smite me.
You’re good xD. I do appreciate the feedback, because I never want a character to feel left out or they’re not important enough, etc

Squinting

For anyone having struggle with their posts, it can be a general reaction of what’s happening, a push at Aodren or the court people to believe them or listen, or it could be, ya know, someone smacking Azalea upside the head and apologizing.

All choices matter!
