As far as I can tell... they have made dumb decisions, in fransen the only reason they survived was due to Adrian leaving lesser shades to do the job and now they are holding a bomb hostage, why don't we have a sniper shade kill nox and scramble them? If what she can do is true we just need to make shades like her to smoke the rebellion out.

Well you gotta think of the bigger picture here.

Obviously nobody likes the idea of bringing an insanely dangerous creature across the sea with them.

But NORMAL shades, and shade Lords share a mindset, meaning where one sees, all see. So if they brought a normal shade with them, Soris would know of their location.

Aodren may require proof that Soris exists and the rebellion isn’t trying to gain an army to turn it against them.

Besides, no plan ever works perfectly lol, but they’ve all mostly succeeded despite the errors.
