Hi, this is Commander Joshua Harris. I don't know if anyone is out there listening, but if by some miracle there is, you need to know what's going on. You need to hear this story, and you need to be aware of the danger you're in. That everyone on this planet is in. The alien's motives are becoming increasingly clear each day, and it's obvious they have no intention of allowing our survival on this planet. They will terminate our species, and the memories of our accomplishments will be lost to the years. This cannot be allowed to happen. Rescue teams will be arriving at your camps and strongholds within a few weeks of this transmission. Don't fight them, don't resist. This mission cannot fail, because if we are defeated, all of humanity goes down with us.
The story begins around ten years ago. After WWIII, humanity's greatest act of utter ignorance, we believed it couldn't get any worse. We thought man was our greatest enemy, and that if we defeated ourselves, we would be invincible. So we fought our wars, every soldier believing in their hearts that their cause was the right one, that they were fighting for the good of our planet. That this would impact the future of Earth positively, not just by destroying our cities with unending bombs and death.
And then they came, and everything changed. Millions of lives were lost each week that went by, covered up by hopeful newspapers and headlines, rational thinking rendered irrelevant in the "grand scheme of things". Because surely these intruders upon our planet had grand intentions, surely this is just another step forward in the evolution of our race. And the ones who saw it clearly, the ones who viewed the gigantic ship above our heads as a curse, not a blessing, were shunned, their ideas rejected. We sent our "guests" peaceful messages, welcomed them to our planet like we wanted to be killed. And they delivered. They began picking us off, one city at a time, mostly with bombs, sometimes with guns, and sometimes they turned our own humanity against us and we pulled the trigger ourselves. Most of you are aware of all this - painfully aware. I'll skip to the good part.
Ten months ago, it was decided that if we wanted to regain control of our planet, we would have to fight. Only around 2 billion remained alive, but if we combined forces, we could drive those alien sons of bitches of this planet for good. We constructed a massive underground stronghold, well fortified and armed for alien attack. Our best soldiers were assigned there, along with our best builders to create the rest of the city. Working quickly, we managed to bring in refugees from all across the globe in secret, and we now have almost a million people and families protected here. The goal is either to win this war or get everyone off this planet alive. In ten days, the construction will be completed, and even more civilians will be taken in and trained to fight. This may be the final hope for humanity.
End transmission.
It has been seven months since that day, and the threat of the extraterrestrial attacks are still very much present. There was no war fought, only an unspoken surrender of mankind. Only a few million remain alive, and many among the diminishing population have already been evacuated from the planet in a spaceship, called the Savior, created by the same people who constructed the stronghold. The underground base that Commander Harris was referring to was in control of the evacuation, leaving the hopeless few people who volunteered to stay behind. Spaceships aren't big enough for everyone. Sacrificing the majority for the benefit of the few. Those who were sent ahead in pursuit of a better home for mankind were the best of the best: young, intelligent, athletic, mentally stable. Their tearful goodbyes were made less painful by empty promises of their return. That they would come back and save humanity. The Savior is small and claustrophobic on the inside, and they are forced to live close together, which is uncomfortable to say the least. They have no experience in space, so it will take all of their combined efforts to figure out life on board this spaceship, and all of their mental strength to adjust to the isolation aboard the ship.

Hi, everyone! Caz here with a new idea that's been floating around in my head for a while. If anything about this doesn't make sense, let me know, I'm kind of all over the place with this because I've been sick and rather brain-dead, haha. I'm looking for 5-8 members who can write at least a paragraph per response. If you go a bit below this on occasion, or when the situation calls for a short post, that's okay, but please no one-liners. Doubling is allowed, but a two character maximum for everyone in the roleplay. Everyone should be in the 17-25 age range, no younger but a few years older would be acceptable. Crew relationships and romance are highly encouraged, but certainly not required. If you want your character to be a bit of a loner, that's no problem. The roles I'm looking for are below, if you're interested, let me know! -The Commander | Most likely an NPC I will play - if anyone is interested in taking this role, let me know
