"No not really"

"Are you sure? Y'know lowered dosage meant higher mental function, so in short.. you'll get things done!"

"I have done a lot of "things", Come on give me a break"

The robed man stood from his desk, in his hand a book perhaps a couple inches thick, he flipped through the pages and sat on a wooden stool resting close by the bed.

"I already told you before, your past disease means you can't tolerate the stronger stuff.. this is the third time this year your meds run out Theodore, they're supposed to be taken three times a month not three times a day!"

The bedridden man sat up and lets his feet hang by the side of the bed. Just like getting trampled by a bad day stampede he sighed a rather heavy sigh.

"Sorry, I.. can't help it, I mean the nightmares, it's getting worse, it's like I was there, it's like I was thrown back in.."

His words ended, even if he attempted his best to make it sound as flat as possible with little to no intonations, anyone who heard it would find it off, like they're being forced out of a larynx tied with a knot too tight. Looking at the robed man, he could only glance at him with a pair that seemed to be shaky.

"... This'll be the last refill for this year.. probably that arranged marriage thing scrambled your eggs real bad, three times a month alright? And stop with the drinking! I can smell it miles away!"

Nodding in agreement to each other the robed man stood from his seat slamming close the book like it's a way to vent the amount of profanity he'd speak at this moment. Even if the mixing room is a bit far from where the patients' room the sound of wood and glasses beaten off can be heard from there. Theo himself never wanted this to happen, it's just.. the murky liquid resting on his bedside always looked so friendly every morning after a bad night sleep, heck even before bed it soothes all the nerves hundreds of times than the oak flavored beverage brought from the so called "king's finest" collection.

"Here! Seriously take care of yourself, I can't do it alone"

"You have my word"

Like any days in the kingdom of the west each time you walked outside of any buildings or places with ceilings you'd feel droplets of water in a near instant. Turning his head above the young man could only see huddled clouds each crying their hearts out soaking the trees, the people and the roads. He spots a lone bench resting close near the clinic he was in and after making sure no one has claimed it he quickly sat on the object. The weather corresponds greatly with his mood for today, an arranged marriage.. forced pairings between prominent characters of all the kingdoms to hopefully stop the war? Diplomacy isn't his strongest suit, but he's sure a union of two people in random kingdoms isn't going to put a fullstop to the war. Lifting his head up, the young man lets the droplets of water trickle down his cheeks. Probably he's late for the briefing before setting off to the middle kingdom, but why bother if it probably won't change anything? The royalties should've focused on making better quality fermented drinks in his opinion.

Mina sat at the edge of the water with her bare feet dangling into the small pool of water, she sat with a ink pen and some paper with a small Raven perched nearby. This was all a part of her daily routine as she wrote letters to the one she love almost daily, often coming here to keep it hidden as she could not let anybody know. Not her sister who she was rather close with or her brothers, no one could know what this point and especially not since the Queen had arranged everybody to be married. She was kind of curious what was the reasoning behind her having to deal with an arrangement like this, she was not to inherit the throne as she had three older siblings who would all be taking it beforehand.

“It’s not fair….” She whispered to herself before laying back and looking up at the sky, sprinkles fell from the sky and she welcomed it to gently hit her face. Why did she have to fall in love? Why couldn’t she be with the one she loved? Life seems like nothing but a cruel joke and at this point it was becoming even more prominent that she was right. As soon as she finished writing her letter, she quickly called the Raven over and tied the message around his leg before giving him a small pat and watching as he flew away. She had been away from the Castle all morning, it was probably time for her to get back and start better preparing to leave. She wondered if anyone had really realized she was gone at this point, sometimes they did and sometimes they didn’t, but with it being so busy she kind of hoped no one would be upset for her time alone.

Mina grabbed her shoes as she made her way across the lawn and towards the entrance of the Castle. She smiled at workers around the Castle and quickly slipped into the doors, closing her eyes a moment when she got back in. She didn’t even know what would be needed to bring, clothes, other things like that but she really had no intention of planning too well for this.

“Mykel….” She whispered and could almost feel the tears burning her eyes as she quickly made her way up the stairs, one of the maids had seen the sadness and even though she didn’t know what exactly it had been about, there was only one person who could honestly probably get her to smile. “Get basket, the young princess is upset….” She said to another nearby made and she nodded as she made her way to find the man in hopes they could cheer Mina up.

There was supposed to be a meeting in the kingdom, but Mina didn’t feel like going which that was 99% of the case when it came to meetings. Sometimes she would go happily, other times it took people nearly dragging her to them and it looked like it was going to have to be the latter this time.

Dearest Mykel,

I hope this letter finds you well, although I can’t imagine any of us who are a part of a royal family, are happy about anything at this point. I’m still in shock that her Majesty wants us to enter into a royal bond of marriage! I cannot imagine this is something anyone wants, but who knows I cannot speak for everyone. It looks like we will be seeing one another soon, that is the bright side my dearest friend. I’ll try to cooperate as much as I can, but you know how I am! I just can’t seem to behave myself most of the time! I plan on taking the Raven with me to whatever kingdom I have to go to, I don’t plan on us not being able to speak. Unfortunately, this is not the longest letter I have wrote to you, but I do hope that we will be speaking soon to one another!

Your friend, forever!

Mina, the youngest Princess of the West!

Basket
This was the spot, or hopefully it was. You would think the water would be clearer in a kingdom so stuck with it. Basket's head broke water as he gasped for air, filling his burning lungs. "Oh great fuzzy bullocks" Basket grumbled between gasps for air. He crawled out of the water, the whole of his fool's motley soaked "Sammy you said she was making her way over here. Explain" bringing his puppet stick in front of his face. "Well she was ya git" came a higher pitched voice rather aggressively "I can see 'er cross the lawn right now, you damp brained fool!" Basket jumped up at receiving this news and started running t'wards the castle.

"Do you think they'll take my wet motley as being out in the rain?" Basket asked, ever so innocently. "It's sprinkling Basket" "Ah, yes"

Basket zipped in through the front doors, then broke into a short sprint. Feigning tripping Basket slid across the smooth tiles on his back tucked in like a woodbug while spinning around. He passed Lady Mina before shooting out into a relaxed position head on hand the spinning coming to an end with a final half turn. "I've just heard some horrid news my lady, the arranged marriage is off! How else will we trick anyone into marriage with you!?" Basket exclaimed with an exasperated look upon his face. Sammy smacked Basket "That isn't what they said fool! They said they would soon be off to meet the unlucky lads and lasses!" Basket glanced up at Mina while Sammy spoke, rolling his eyes and grimacing before glancing back at the puppet and making a face of deep concentration and understanding.

Vance, the oldest of the western kingdom's heirs, was returning from land negotiations with allies that were in the southern lands. He thought that he did well in the talks about land expansion and border discussions, though he was accompanied by an entourage of royal advisers and trusted diplomats who had years of experience beyond his own, and he was starting feel like just a figurehead in times like this but he did his best.

As he entered the castle grounds, he started to veer off from the group that he had been leading. “S..sire?” one of his attendants said with hesitation. Vance shrugged him off with a wave, not bothering to turn around to face him. “You were there.” Vance said, turning his head towards the attendant. “You can tell the debriefing committee everything that happened, my presence isn't necessary.” he said while still walking away. “Y..yes, sir.” the attendant said as the group went into a room where people of high stature were waiting for information about the meeting in the southern lands.

Vance made his way out to the castle gardens with hardly an upward glance. He was happy to be home, though he didn't know how long he'd be back so he wanted to make the most of it. As he entered the gardens, the plants and flowers seemed to be almost drawn to him. He knelt down and put his hand near a dying rose. The stem started to glow with a faint blue aura as the wilting petals started to find renewed life and color. “At least I can still do some good.” he whispered as he stood up. Being here always gave him a sense of peace and it always made him feel like he was home.

After a while he walked out of the garden and made his way towards the clinic, noticing Theo sitting on a bench. He gave a smile and a small wave as he approached his younger brother. “Hey bro.” he said, inhaling through his nose he could detect the faint smell of alcohol, no doubt Theo was trying to de-stress, though Vance knew that this wasn't the way to do it. He had always tried to be supporting of his siblings and be a good example to them.

He took a seat next to Theo, hoping that he was welcome, and hoping that his calming effect that he seemed to have on people would help his little brother now. “Talk to me. What's going on?” he said in a soft tone.

Aeryn, Eldest Princess of the West
Location: Castle Trainging Grounds - Bedroom
Interaction: Open
A frustrated growl left the woman's throat as she yet again failed to execute a complicated move. Sweat clung to her body, her cheeks red, and her breathing controls but heavy. "Again!" She barked, getting herself into the stance required. Her oppenets look to each other, before reluctantly getting back into an attacker's stance. Rain made the cobble stone of the training ground slick, hay stuck to everything, including the princesses bare feet. Aeryn was in her normal training attire she used for non lethal weapons. A halter like top, and loose brown pants that nobody though she should be wearing. But, nobody had the right to tell her what she should wear. Anyway, Aeryn stared down the guards who volunteered for this spur of the main t training session, fearful of their Captuan once he figured out what happened, but more fearful of Aeryn's anger. The news she was to be married off without any say in the matter had rubber her the wrong way, so far minutes after being told, Aeryn had been outside, trying to blow off steam. However, she was only working herself up more than she needed to. Until finally...

"Aeryn that's enough!" A voice boomed from behind the princess, metal footsteps echoijnv through the semi enclcosed area. Jace, a high ranking member of the royal guard, and superior of the guards she had worked away decided that was the moment to intervene.

"Jace, you don't have the right to tell me what to do! Now leave!" Aeryn yelled back, turning to face the man. He was a good bit taller than her, nearly six feet five inches tall leaving her a foot shorter than him.

"I have a say when you're in danger."

"I'm not in danger, now go away. I'm training and I so not wan-"

"Princess with all do respect, you are. I know the news of you being married is not what you wanted to hear, nor is it somethin you ever wanted to happen, but it has. There it no point in being angry about something you cannot control," Jace said, getting very close to the princess. Aeryn took a step back, but that did not stop him from taking the dummy weapons from her hands. "Go and relax. Working yourself into a rage fuled panoc attack will do nothing for your health."

Aeryn glared up at him, before baking down with a huff. "Fine," she spat, pushing past him, storming off tworad the main hall entrance; the door slamming behind her. Because who the hell did he think he was talking to her like that, like come on, really? Awry was to angry at the moment to respond with a reasonable answer, let alone a calm one. Her life was no longer her's..she was being sold off to a Prince who would probably tray her like a little doll. To hell with it.

"Milady?"

"What?" Aeryn looked to her left, to see one of her maids.

"Would you like me to draw you a bath? You've been training for while now, you must be cold," She said.

"Um...yes, please. Rose and vanilla if you will," Aeryn replied as the two entered her bedroom. For a princess it was rather minamalist, but that didn't matter. Aeryn knew she had it better than most did, and after her time in the war four years ago... She wasn't one to complain. Besides, she we the one who decorated.

"You're bath will be ready shortly, but may I go ahead and wash your feet? I don't think hay is something you'd want to be floating in your bath water."

Aeryn, who had already undressed and changed into her silk rob nodded, and sat down on a chair that went with her vanity, allowed the maid to begin washing her feet. The warm water stung a little because of the sudden temperature change, but Aeryn was lost in thought. Perhaps she was angry because of what this marriage ment. That, she would never be able to really chose who she wanted to marry. The Prince chosen for her was probably a complete self centered asshole. And was she supposed to out up with that? Her personally would cause to much trouble.

But Aeryn sighed, staring into the mirror, "Lets hope not."

"RIGHT SIDE! RIGHT SIDE!"

"NO GET DOWN!"

The sea roiled, ships swallowed to depths greater than even the time where the king tried to make the deepest well ever recorded, those sailors who frequent the men's only club screamed at the top of their lungs and there are even those who went quiet before the sea managed to devour everything, pictures of skeletons and the wave slamming, throwing and making even grand scale warships fly like feathers blown by the wind suddenly interrupted by a familiar voice, like the break of dawn it broke his dark trance. Theo lifted his eyelids wiping his lips and directed his eyes towards the one approaching. With half closed eyes he nodded at the older gentleman.

"Vance, back from another "battle of words" with neighboring kingdoms?"

The young prince spoke as if he's sure the diplomatic discussion his brother had would brought change that's just too vague to feel. It's probably just another 51 piles of wood for 50 food rations, sure we end up at the good end of the bargain, but for low classed men or men who thought and acted like they're from a lower class those changes are just like a tomato or a lettuce between a sandwich, nutritionally maybe they're good but they didn't exactly change how the sandwich tasted that much. He wouldn't say Vance came at the right time, but he does need a pillow to scream to with all the stuff going on today, probably he'll lend an ear.

"Well aside from the limited dose from the clinic and the bar limiting me to only two visits per week and the arranged marriage thing, not a whole lot dear brother"

He wanted to ridicule diplomatic talks and diplomatic discussions more, but his attention is pulled to something else. Theo thought his brother is a man who always put the kingdom first, but now.. a meeting is happening soon and all the princes and princesses are required to come, yet he's still here probably he knew the futility of such an attempt.

"Look at what we have now, four kingdoms at each other's throat and now the "ingenious" queen thought a wedding would stop us from stabbing each other in the back.. she probably read too much of those too perfect romantic tales or talked too long with those loony fortuentellers.."

It ended with a little sigh. Theo's eyes are directed forward eyeing something that isn't there.

"Is it still a part of diplomacy brother?"

Mirielda "Myrrh" Jezebel
Location: East Kingdom - Castle Kitchens

"Lumen!" A petite young woman, with hair of the most vivid shade of violet and eyes of the brightest blue, began calling out to her colleagues. "I need you to process the semi-dried figs, then shape them into quenelles! Mion, haché the shallots and julienne the carrots! Umbra, add cardamon powder and milk to the egg yolks and sugar and finish the mixture into an anglaise over low heat! Once it's cooled, sorbetiére! The rest of you know what to do! Get to it!"

"Yes, chef!" All the cooks roared in unison, hurrying to complete their given tasks.

The very moment she finished speaking, Myrrh wasted no movement as she swiftly coated the sweetfish fry in whole wheat flour, proceeding to make a friture out of them. It was at times like this that it seemed as if the kitchen was alive. A chef was, in the end, just a chef, regardless of the skill they possessed in the craft, and the same could be said about Myrrh; one of, if not the best chef throughout the kingdoms, second only to her father, whom she hopes to surpass someday. Together, however, they could create dishes that can conquer the hearts of all that tasted it.

The gourmets together moved in choreographed harmony, the actions of each helping the other. Each is seperate, yet on another level, they are united.

"Chef! The dressed courgette is done!"

"Good work!"

"Another ten seconds till the cream is whipped to soft peaks!"

"The almond preparation is done as well!"

"Nicely done!" She grinned, rapidly stirring the contents of a pot. 'I'll need to start arranging the food soon.' She thought to herself, as she finished mixing the sauce into a nice, thick consistency. 'Prep work for the cooked ingredients and the dressing should be done right about-'

"Prep is done. All ready for arrangement!"

"Impressive!" She sincerely praised as she took the plate from the young chef, earning a grateful smile in return. "Bleu! Next is the grilled asparagus!" She yelled out as she began to array the ingredients into a deliciously enticing arrangement. "Not until they're charred! Just until they're cooked through!"

"Got it!"

And just like that, all six dishes had been completed, ready to be served for the royal family to enjoy. The servants of the castle readily carted away the meals, out of the kitchens and into the dining hall.

Myrrh flashed a dazzling smile upon seeing her colleagues cheer at yet another success. It was pleasant knowing that they enjoyed cooking just as much as she did. Not a lot of people aspired to become gourmets, especially when there plenty more exciting jobs out there. However, she was content with the path she had decided for herself. More than content, actually. She was happy.

Vance smirked a bit when Theo said “battle of words”. He nodded, gesturing a bit with his hands as he spoke. “Land owners between us and the southern kingdom have been at odds about their borders, so I was sent to settle the dispute and I think that we've reached an agreement. Our borders are a tiny fraction smaller, but it was necessary to keep peace in a neutral region.”

Vance listened to what Theo was telling him about the doctor, and his stresses over the arranged marriages. He turned slightly towards his younger brother, putting a hand gently on Theo's back to try and comfort him. He let out a small sigh as he spoke. “This is diplomacy, brother, and necessary.” Vance started to explain, referring to the unions. “The marriages themselves are needed to unite the kingdoms in more ways than one. First, you have the marriages themselves, which are seen as a union of peace between us. Second, there is an interest in easier negotiations with the united kingdoms, as each one is now a part of the others. Third, and probably most important is conflict interest. No kingdom would attack another with one of their own in it, especially if one of theirs is siting on the throne, not to mention shared land which is a whole new beast.” Vance said that last bit about land with an annoyed tone, knowing that he would be the one to work out negotiations on that end when the time came.

He looked Theo in the eyes, having a more serious tone to his voice. “No matter what happens, we're always family, and I'll always be watching over you and our sisters. Never forget that.” he said with a small smile and a pat to Theo's back.

Mina could only stare at basket, watching as he slid across the floor and for a moment she did want to crack a smile. Still, her face remained serious and she looked away, rubbing her arm as she felt bad for being selfish but at this point she was prepared to put up a good fight. "Basket.... It's not going to work, not this time.... It's not fair...." She let out a rather large sigh, looking at him for a moment before she began to make her way towards her bedroom. "I think at this point, I'd rather marry you then someone I don't know--" she quickly stuck her tongue out at him, walking slowly and carefully up the stairs, she wondered if Mykel would receive her letter before they would see each other.

As soon as she arrived at her room, she flopped carelessly on top of her bed and she just laid there. Mina watched as the workers were running all around trying to get things taken care of, but she refused to be of any help. A couple of them would ask her opinion on things and she simply ignored them or waived them off. She wondered how her siblings were handling the news, no doubt they were probably not happy about the situation either and if she had been a bit happier than she might have gone to see how they were doing.

From her room she began to yell for Basket and waited until he was nearby to begin speaking. "If I have to move to the new Kingdom, will you come with me?" She was very serious and at this point she wanted a serious answer, although she was looking for a specific answer.

Basket
Mina was clearly troubled, in any normal circumstance she would respond to an insult. She probably needed some time alone. "WHAT IS ALL THIS MESS?!" Basket's eyes widened as the footsteps of the head mistress came towards him at speed. His attempt at a quick getaway was foiled by his own shoes as they slipped out from under him. Basket fell down in a jingling heap "Ah, Merrel, fine day for a swi-" snatching his collar Merrel growled "There's enough to do without you making a bloody mess of things. Now walk outside, strip down to your britches and have a walk of shame to the baths!" Basket hung his head in submission "Yes Merrel." and slowly made his way to the door. "Fridgid Tart" muttered Sammy. Merrel looked back in contempt "Do you want to do the walk without your britches!?" Basket shot her a sly smile and hurried his way to the front.

At this time of day all the other servants were off doing tasks so Basket had the male baths all to himself. He had a good romp of a time, singing and prancing around merrily. Quite a ruckus it was, but the other servants had no time to chastise him. Basket was toweling off a servant knocked loudly at the door. "There's a summons for you from Lady Mina." Pocket slipped into a dry blue and grey checkered motley, popped on his coxcomb and made haste for Mina's quarters.

Mina was lying on her bed, defeated, when Basket came to the door. "Prithee, I havith arrived" Basket boomed. A question.
"If you have forgotten, I shall remind you my lady. I am not just any humble fool, I am YOUR humble fool." Basket gave a flourishing bow to the princess. "He's damn near a slave" Sammy threw in. Rising from his bow Basket said"But if it's my opinion you are looking for than I'd be more than happy to go." He smiled cheerily.

[div class="textHere"]It was the fifth time Tobias had skimmed over the last sentence, now, and he still had no idea of the content of the flowery-worded report he was reading, and had been reading, for the past hour. He prided himself on his ability to concentrate. except, as it seemed, this once.

The young scion of the Eastern Kingdoms scrunched up the remains of the page he had been unsuccessfully composing a reply on, only belatedly realizing he had not written a single word. with a sigh, he opened up the little scrunched up ball and tried to smooth the creases out just a little. Of course, it would be a great insult to write an official reply using the grubby piece of paper, but he abhorred waste. It would serve somehow, if not in an official fashion.

It was clear as day to Toby that he wouldn't be getting anything done today, despite his best efforts. He could afford to be a little distract today, surely, and, well, his hands were shaking.

He was often stressed, but had long mastered the art of working despite the constant annoyance of his emotions, setting aside other times for relaxation, because working himself to the bone would have gutted the quality of his work, and had very little long term benefits. The shock of the recent announcement, however, seemed to have batted aside his well-practiced cool with a scornful hand.

He cared not for himself, because he had grown numb to the knowledge that the youngest son is less important, and had never cared much about love in the first place. He was worried nonetheless, not for himself, but for his siblings.

A knock at the door drove him out of his stupor, and he stood up from his desk, watching for the visitor and only belatedly calling out, "Come in." A moment later, his personal scribe came in carrying a sheaf of papers, silently asking the Prince where to leave them.

"Just here, please." He murmured, moving away from the table. He could sort them later, since he wasn't going to manage to do any work today, it seems. The work would still be here when he came back. Except he would not be here soon enough, would he?

His father would have to deal with the crop reports without his help for a few days. He didn't particularly want to think about the possibility that he would be away for longer.

"I'll look through them later." He promised, more to himself than to the silent scribe, who was leaving the room after a deep bow. He was alone, now.

After a moment of hesitation, he crossed the room, exiting the room as the scribe had done. Rather than head of to the portion of the palace dedicated to bureaucracy, however, he instead headed out in the vague direction of the palace gardens, sincerely doubting that he would manage to arrive there without being reminded of an urgent task, despite it only yet being early morning. Surely, there was something he could do before breakfast, which he might skip, in any case.

He was uncertain of the whereabouts of his siblings, although he desired to speak to them, if only to assure they were fine and functioning well.

But everyone needed some time alone. [/div]

[div class="textHere"]Lady Annette smoothed out the folds of her prim grey dress - no need for frivolity when there was no one to see - absentmindedly as her eyes flickered over the letter she had been dictating. The maid who had been writing for her twisted her hair nervously in a nearby seat - although some nobles believed that servants should not share the luxury of the upper class, she found that loyalty bought through small kind gestures was more valuable than respect - watching her mistress for any signs of displeasure. She was new, and did not know that Anne was not the type that easily rose to anger.

The girl had done a fairly decent job, despite her nervousness. All her personal servants were literate to some degree, and she had asked for an educated servant's aid.

"Well done." She told the girl, in a tone that suggested she was speaking to a favorite dog rather than a servant, though she doubt the servant would have picked up that much from her tone of voice. "You may leave now."

Despite the phrasing, the sentence was a command, and the maid left after giving Annette a panicked bob and a murmur of thanks. She ignored it all, seemingly engrossed in the letter before her. Her mind, on the other hand, was far, far, away.

She'd taken care to intentionally obscure details, so it seemed like harmless gossip to anyone that might take a look, but she had played this game with her mother many times before. While she felt it was important to keep Mother updated, she had to admit that her time at court was so that she could stretch her own wings, and to do that, she had to take care that Mother would not become interested enough to be involved. She had no intention of becoming collateral damage should her mother begin to maneuver in court once again.

Going over the letter one more time, Annette sealed the letter with firm hands, leaving it to be sent at a later time. She stood up from her seat, tossing a pillow absentmindedly back to her bed without any of the elegance she usually carried herself with. Not, of course, that anyone was watching. Besides, there must be some ways for one to relax, and she was feeling rather satisfied at how things were progressing today.

A soft knock could be heard at the door, and her already high spirits improved further. She flung open the doors herself rather than let the poor messenger have to do more work, a beatific smile that would have drove anyone who knew her well far, far away, screaming something about predators. Fortunately, this servant was just an informant she would never require the service of again. The short-sighted serving class might not turn down a change to earn coin, but she was wise enough to know anyone who would spy for money was not worth keeping around.

"She's back. Heading to her chambers." The maid curtsied, only belatedly adding, "Milady."

"Lovely."

She gave the serving girl a smile and a coin, and headed out at a pace that might almost be called running, if it wasn't so undignified. She had a place to be, she thought, as she swept past her personal maids, deigning to nod in return to their deep curtsies, but not requiring them to follow - she desired a private conversation. While the serving girl had said she was only on her way, these people had no concept of time. She would be back at her chambers already.

And also possibly fuming. Her highness had unarguably the world's worst temper, and, more importantly, didn't know how to lose. Either way, someone was going to get bitten, and it might as well be someone who knew how to bite back, in a way that was kind and thoughtful.

Her Highness' rooms were, for obvious reasons, quite close to her own, although far larger in size - and less lavishly decorated, because Lady Aeryn had less expensive tastes - compared to her own small chambers. She navigated the hallways skillfully, barely passing any servants, and ignoring the few that bobbed a curtsy or bowed hurriedly before moving on. Places to get to, things to be done. They knew how it was.

Soon she was before the doors of Her Highness' chambers, giving a small smile to the greater amount of servants milling around the Princess' chambers. The bulk of her attention, however, was ultimately on considering what was waiting beyond her door as she knocked.

"Your Highness?" She asked, voice raised slightly so that the person on the other side of the door could hear her, "May I enter?"[/div]

"THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!"
A voice, echoed itself though halls of the chambers belonging to North Star Assembly, followed by voices cheering in approval or murmuring either in disapproval or discussion.
Situated in this hall was a gathering of representatives and diplomats from every tribe and clan from the Northern kingdom and it's people: The steppe people, the Kossak People, and viking people. Some were dressed in rather civilian, even formal clothing of their people, while others were dressed like warriors.
The Northerners were situated in the assembly, where the entire layout of the chamber was focused, with seats near the back, to which representatives and diplomats of all sorts sat, watching, listening, discussing amongst themselves and fellow diplomats. Near the front of these seats was a space, to which more diplomats were located, albeit standing up and observing the center, occasionally throwing in their voice into the ring or murmuring to the people around them. Within the center, located a massive fire pit, to which flames were smoldering. Two people were in the center, one dressed of a warrior, the other dressed of a civilian. Both of them were circling the fire, and each other, speaking...occasionally turning to the audience for support on one of their points...
"Peace!? With the easterners!? The westerners? The southerners!"
The man dressed as a warrior spoke, was that belonging to a tribes of the steppe people He had spoken the first phrase, as well as the secound phrase...ending the secound phrase with much venom in his voice as he spoke the words "The southerners".
"These people have done nothing but spill our blood on our lands! And now we are expected to welcome these people into our lands with open arms!? As if what our ancestors have fought for was nothing!"
The last line was followed by some cheers and even applause, but it encouraged more murmuring.
"Yet, what are our alternatives!?" The man dressed in the civilian outfit spoke. He was dressed in the civilian clothing of one of the Kossak clans. His voice was less intimidating then the other, but it was just as loud, and carried just as much weight, causing the murmuring to die down a bit. "To spill more blood!? More northern blood!? The blood of our sons and daughters! All for what!? I ask you!? So we can appear strong and mighty!? To whom!? I ask you!?"
That received nods and words of agreement from the crowed.
"And what of the Middle Kingdom!? The Queen of the Middle Kingdom!?" The man continued, as he circled the fire. "We cannot simply disobey her commands..."
"And why can't we!?" The Steppe man interrupted. "What right does she have over us Northerners!?"
That last line was met by an vast increase in murmuring, as diplomats and representatives talked and even began arguing amongst themselves. A good majority didn't look to comfortable about the prospect, while a few were seemingly getting riled up by his speech.
"These lands are our lands!" The steppe man continued. "Nobody but us Northerners have the right to rule these lands! What is she going to do!? Invade us!? Our armies have crushed any force that has dared to set foot in our lands! And if we do not get to them first! The northerner lands certainly will have no mercy! Who says we cannot fight against her forces!? I dare say we are powerful enough, to revolt!"
"ENOUGH!"
A loud voice echoed over the crowed, followed by a large, cold gust of wind that quickly extinguished the fire in the middle.
This caused the crowed to hush up, and then look towards the voice.
There, sitting on a rather large throne like chair, with two honor guardsmen flanking him, sat the Eldest Prince of the North.
Jasper.
"Revolting is most certainly out of the question." Jasper spoke, his volume had lowered, but his voice echoed through the chamber. Jasper would then stand up from his seat, staff in hand, and slowly walked to the center of the chamber, talking as he spoke. "If, we were to revolt against the middle kingdom then we will only be painting a giant target on ourselves for the other three kingdoms to unite around..." Jasper said, now at the middle of the chamber, looking at first to the steppe man, then into the crowd. "As strong as we are, we are fortunate to have not been assaulted by any form of a united front, much less a triple alliance....If we were to provoke the middle kingdom, then there would be a possibility for an alliance against us. And if an alliance is indeed set against us..." Jasper now looked back at the steppe representative, stright in the eyes. "...I would not be the one burning the bodies of my own children."
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Jasper watched as the steppe man and his contigent headed in the direction of the exit.
By now the assembly had adjorned, and all the diplomats and representatives were filing out of the chamber.
Some, like the steppe man, were returning to their quarters, while many remained to talk over the contents of the meeting and discuss on what it meant for their tribes and clans.
Jasper was amongst these people, again, watching as one of the men who took center staged left.
This assembly was initially meant just as simply as an announcement to the wider Northern Kingdom about this...arrangement, set up by the queen of the Middle Kingdom.
Jasper thought to himself, as he greeted and spoke with delegates left and right with his signature smile, mostly listening rather then talking.
Jasper was in the field, as he always is, when the news was broken to him. His battle brothers were with him, and they were the first to express their mixed opinions ranging from understanding to outrage. He had sent all of them home, or at least, told them to go find somthing to do. This was a journey he had to sort out alone, and with his blood family. Of course, he promised them that they would be involved in the process, yet not before things were in order at home.
First of which was annoucing the news to the general assembly, who had about the same range of reactions as his battle brothers.
Only what was suppose to be a simple announcement spiraled into a debate about it, which culminated up to talks of revolting against the middle kingdom, somthing that was downright dangerous.
At this point, the halls were begining to clear up more, as there were a few representatives still talking amongst each other, though none of them had an imidate intreast in Jasper.
THe elder prince took this opportunity to withdraw himself, walking down the familiar hallways that lead back into the bigger palace.
As a prince, Jasper himself had welcomed the opportunity for peace, espically since he considered the price to be relativly little.
Personally? He felt the same.
Sure, he might not get the ideal marriage partner, and sure, most likly this won't be out of love.
But as long as it meant that the fighting would stop, it would be a small price for him...though he knew he could not speak for his family.
Jasper puased in one of the corridors, which was sort of like a bridge overlooking the captail city, then turned around to face one of the windows and leaned sideways onto the side of the window.
Jasper looked out into the city in silent contemplation.
Jasper couldn't help but smile though, looking at the city. Even from where he was, he could make out the various people, vendors, and so on, that made the city so diverse. Such things like these brought back childhood memories, back to a time that was simpler...a more naive time.
But even so....Jasper's mind was still wandering in the present.
How was his family taking it?
Jasper had only arrived barely a day ago, all he had really been doing was preparing address today's assembly, he had barly had time to really talk to his siblings.
*Who*
A sudden noise came out of the hoodie part of Jasper's robe, followed by a bit of rustling.
Suddenly, a head popped out of Jasper's hoodie, the head of an owl.
It was Jasper's owl companion, Biff.
"Sleep well?"
Jasper said with a small smile, as he glanced back.
*Who*
"Good to hear buddy."
Jasper replied, before looking back to the city.
Biff shook himself awakem, before fluttering his feathers a bit to warm up, then fluttered his way onto Jasper's shoulder, yawning a bit before going
*Who*
"Hm? Oh, it's nothing really...just wondering..."
*Who?*
"Yes...I'm thinking about this marriage thing..."
*Who?*
"No...it's not me I'm worried about...it's..."
*Who*
"You guessed it."
Jasper sighed, and Biff could only look onward at his companion.
He was about to say somthing else, before he yawned, tucking his chest a bit into his body as he sat on his companion's shoulder, as he smacked his beak, still tired.

Should've expected that.. that question really gets his brother's engine running. After all Theo always thought he's the best man to brought if it comes to the last pie from the kitchen, he always managed to keep everyone happy and most importantly stop anyone from killing each other over a slice. Sure he's pouty when he's off for one of those diplomatic stuff but the fact that Theo isn't in the front line dealing with any Southern soldiers in the borders burning the kingdom's stockpile of wood, he sure isn't half bad at politics, heck he's pretty good at i, a temporary truce between four nations of differing ideologies and drastic geographical diversity isn't something to just scoffed at, it definitely made his resume brighter. Sadly Theo forgot he's not a politician..

"Right well thanks for the.. lecture on "Benefits of Arranged Marriage" professor"

Sure he spoke as if his brother's words held as much meaning as a no smoking sign, but he does take it to the heart. As silly as it sounds the marriage now do made some sense, not that much but worth a shot. The young male leaned back resting his back against the bench, he wraps his fingers around each other and placed it above his thighs as he's doing this a sigh escaped his parted lips.

"Lots of lives gone in the blink of an eye for that war, things wouldn't change that much if we rely on swords and weapons, I always thought the best way to end the conflict is just to put our weapons down and swallow our pride, I never thought I'd be swallowing my own pride though.."

He chuckled before raising from his seat standing upright and stretched for a bit.

"Y'know what I'm giving it a shot, probably we should attend the meeting then.. you coming Vance?"

Theo turned to see his brother's reaction should he agree they'd probably set off at that moment back towards the kingdom to check up on the preparations or probably meet their sisters or something.

Aeryn, Eldest Princess of the West
Location: Bedroom

"Of course," a quiet voice answered, "You may come in. But her highness is in the bath," The maid had answered in Aeryn's place, but with Aeryn's message, as the princess was slipping into a rose and vanilla scented bath. She still was fuming about the news, but was finally calming down enough to really begin to think like a diplomat.

An arranged marriage was really a genius idea. What better way to secure peace among the four nations than to making them part of each other? Civil was was often avoided at all cost, and if not, normally solved as quickly as possible. And most people do not actively wish to fight their family. So stealing awag the princes' and princesses future for the actual sake of the future didnt seem lile such a bad idea. It still got Aeryn angry enough that without thinking, the bath water was quickly rising in temperature.

"Damn it," Aeryn muttered, now focused on cooling it a good bit, but retaining most of the warmth. Her powers were some times unstable in periods of great stress, and this should count as one of those times. I mean, by tomorrow evening, she'll be in the Middle kingdom with her siblings, and perhaps even married if they intend to rush the ceremonies. Which was what was most likely going to happen. Hopefully telnet would at least get a few at least, a day or two at most to adjust and get to know their arranged spouses. Aeryn had s feeling that was not going to be the case however.

With a sigh, she sank down into the water, rasing one of her legs out for a moment, before she dropped it back in, and sighed again. Sitting up, she took a deep breath, and let herself sink. Being in water, even bathwater, she always found soothing. How it dulled the sounds, and how there was always this overwhelming sense of calm...but of course, once she came back up, that was over. Yet her anger from earlier had intact died a little more as she reach for a nearby hand towel to dry her face.

Mirielda "Myrrh" Jezebel

"Brilliant job! The amuse-bouche turned out great!" Myrrh praised, earning grateful smiles from the rest of her colleagues as they lined up in front of her. "As per usual, we have six hours before we have to serve le déjeuner. You can spend that time doing whatever you wish, but before that-" She paused for effect, and allowed a smile --an unnervingly innocent one at that-- to form on her lips. "-Is there anyone here who'd like to volunteer to stay behind a while?"

Simultaneously, the chefs took a single step back. All of them, except... for poor Cielo, one of the newer cooks at the castle. The young man whipped his head from side to side in utter confusion as his seniors gave him pitying glances.

"Cielo! Glad to see you decided to step up!" She chirped happily, grinning widely as she grasped his larger hands into her more petite ones. "You'll be helping me out for a little bit. Don't worry though, you'll just be taste testing a few experimental dishes of mine, nothing difficult." The gourmet tried to reassure him. By the way his face seemed to become drained of all blood, however, she had failed miserably, not that she was aware of it.

"As for the rest of you-" Her eyes roamed across each of her subordinates. "Dismissed!"

"Yes, chef!" They replied in unison, before dispersing like leaves in the wind.

Then the two of them were alone. Myrrh fashed the other a brilliant smile. Cielo swallowed, offering a nerve-wracked smile in return. Squealing in excitement, she shoved a small, porcelain bowl into his hands, which had been on a table off to the side. The younger man sent a questioning gaze at his superior as he studied the contents of the bowl. Some sort of soup, it appeared.

"This, is she geng." She explained, though it seemed she had only garnered more confusion. "I made it using five different kinds of snake. I simmered the meat and bones for a couple of hours, but I also infused the broth with other ingredients, such as chicken, shiitake mushrooms, chopped ginger, chrysanthemum leaves, lemongrass, and a few other herbs and spices. That-" She pointed at the thin silvers of meat within the soup. "-Is shredded snake meat."

Cielo regarded the dish wearily. Clearly, he had heard of Myrrh's infamous experimental dishes. But in the end, he slowly brought a spoonful of the broth to his mouth, and gulped it down, hoping it would be over quickly.

It was...

"Well? How is it?" She asked, when he showed no sign of replying.

"It's... not good." He finally spoke after what seemed to be an eternity of silence. Wiping off his mouth with his sleeve, his face seemed to be the picture perfect description of disgust. "The soup left me with a... less than pleasant feeling." He grimaced at the taste that was left in his mouth.

"Darn. I knew snake meat would be too exotic. I should work on the recipe later." Pulling out a small notepad from her pocket, she scribbled something onto the pages. "Maybe I should try using alligator meat after this..." She muttered softly to herself, adopting a contemplative expression. "Something spicy would be good..."

"Oh, and Cielo, you're free to leave now." Myrrh turned to the chef once more, beaming up at him in gratitude, and was completely oblivious to the way his skin had turned paper white. It seemed he had heard everything.

Vance rolled his eyes subtly when Theo let out the 'lecture' and 'professor' bit. He thought that he was broadening his little brother's knowledge of the way things worked, but then he remembered Theo's age and inexperience in such matters, still though, he had to try.

"Lots of lives gone in the blink of an eye for that war, things wouldn't change that much if we rely on swords and weapons, I always thought the best way to end the conflict is just to put our weapons down and swallow our pride, I never thought I'd be swallowing my own pride though.."

He watched Theo as he stood up from his seat and stretched. Vance leaning forward and folding his hands together with his elbows resting on his knees.

I wish that it was that simple. With power comes the possibility to abuse that power, and the fear that comes with that. Each kingdom has three others, plus the center, and the land owners in between that and trying to rise through the ranks who we have to keep in check constantly. The fear is that if we put down our weapons, someone else will pick them up and we'll be defenseless and at their mercy.” Vance said, not realizing that in his diplomatic training, and in his place as the oldest sibling that his words were constant lessons and explanations. He was never one to keep things simple.

Vance nodded towards Theo and stood up. “I need to go check on the preparations before we leave. If something gets left behind, or we are ill prepared then there could be trouble, and it's a long walk back from the center kingdom.” Vance said, leaving Theo to tend to his business as he walked back into the castle and headed to the main meeting room where people were already discussing the journey. Vance was there to make sure that everything was in order, and that they weren't leaving the castle completely unguarded while they were all away.

[div class="textHere"]A softer voice gave her permission to enter, rather than her highness herself, causing a slight hesitation before Annette pushed the door open a crack and entered. Of course there would be others aiding the princess, she was just not expecting any to be present, clearly a miscalculation on her part.

Closing the door behind her, Annette gave the room a cursory glance, acquitting herself with the interior of room before she sank into a deep curtsy, not an hair more or less than what conventions required from her, where Aeryn might be able to most of her.

"Your Royal Highness." She murmured, eyes down on the ground. She would stay like this, of course, until she was allowed to rise. Foruntately, she had practice, and besides, it was hardly an strenuous excercise. She chose her words with care, for while she disliked speaking the pleasantries and remarks that were frankly a waste of breath and time, they were an necessity when dealing with anyone with a title, and they rose so easily to Annette's tongue.

"Have you been feeling well?" She asked, choosing her words with delicate care. She didn¡t bother with feigned concern, being a tremendously terribly actor. It would be insulting to the both of them. She did not need an angry royal before breakfast. Specifically, she did not want a royal angry at her. Others were fair game, although she prided herself on being able to minimize collateral damage so it only affect acceptable targets. "The day is beginning. It would be my pleasure to help you prepare."

Her eyes flickered once to the other maid - servant, admittedly, not lady in waiting - and smiled slightly. "Or to provide conversation, perhaps." She offered. Thr princess seemed calm now, but servants had eyes and ears, despite what others of her rank believed, and she paid attention to what they said and how they acted. She knew that the princess has startrd the morning raging.

On the other hand, if you disregarded Princess Aeryn's temper, she was also occasionally rather reasonable. It would not be too difficult to make her see sense, if necessary. She did love intelligent conversation partners so.[/div]

"I have been," The princess answered, "Up until this morning. I am to be married to a man I don't know in hopes that there will be a peaceful ending to the war, and of course, i have no say in it," Aeryn said, pushing hersled to the edge of her rather large bathtub inorder to see into the main part of her room, "And Annette dear, in private there's no need to curtsy. It's an unnessacary formality used." There was also the small fact that Aeryn saw Lady Annette as a freind rather than an underling, so her bowing wad a little odd.

The princess had a rather controversial mind set about the whole societal class difference. They were all human, and there for on equal ground. Afterall, money and education don't matter in the eyes of death, they were all equal in the end. A thought process picked up on the battlefield and one she had yet to shake. The maid, looked to Aeryn, who waved her off. The petite woman bowed, and left the room without another word, leaving the two others alone. Looking at Annette, still comfortably sitting at the edge of her bathtub, Aeryn gave her a soft smile. "How about keep me company for now, and help me get dressed in a few minutes," The princess suggested, "How has your morning been?"

Just like that and he's off again leaving splashes of water when his boots made contact with the moist almost muddy dirt. His brother's words did make him think twice of the wedding that he himself now felt like he needs to follow his brother, joining the discussion, doing the preparations, probably also helped setting the sail or tightening the ropes or something and making sure the transport from here to the middle kingdom wouldn't go like a soldier's bumpy ride towards the battlefield. But first things first, he made his way to a building probably large enough to house 3 men and a dwarf and spent a couple minutes there before emerging with a silvery flask made of metal so shiny that it reflected any amount of light making it a hazard for horsemen everywhere, but that was just the outer part, inside there's still the liquid made from extracts of near toxic depressants that could put even the frowniest man on earth with debts towering higher than the castle merry.

"I deserve this.. right? Eh who cares"

Flipping open the flask's metallic cover he met the bottle's upper part with his lips and bended his back slightly. When the droplets of the secret recipe made contact with his tongue, his stomach and brain were upset almost in an instant. He swore if he didn't need the effects it'd had towards his body, he'd definitely threw probably the biggest vomit in the kingdom's history, however even if it's initial exposure was like touching the surface of hell, the effects felt like he's swimming in heaven's pool. It was only 10 mils, but his vision started to warp and slightly distort, he stumbled after each steps and for unknown reasons he couldn't feel those burden behind his shoulder. Still in this half awake half broken state, he walked in the steps of a drunk, a trail that seemed off, he can't seem to walk on a straight line even for short seconds. If he managed to reach the kingdom he'd open the door like he owned all of the palace, guards wouldn't like it, but they saw some of his moments like these in the past and they mostly learn to keep their hands idle, a couple of new ones probably would stop him though.

"I'm home!"

He'd yell it once he's there, that thundering voice as a part of his power would sometimes leak making his sound loud enough to be heard at the whole palace. He sure hope no one would be too angry with him, sure hope his sisters and brother if he's back home would understand.

[div class=subheader] SO HERE I WILL PLAY YOU A DETERMINATION SYMPHONY [/div] [/div] [div class=basicsR] [div class=box] The air of the study shivered as the sun’s first rays kissed the edges of its windowsill. Though this rise in temperature was typically the captain of the royal guard’s wakeup call, the man in question had been awake and about since well before the crack of dawn. He couldn’t help it, really. The news he had heard the day before would likely give anyone involved trouble sleeping. Not that he was a directly involved party, but he was a known busybody in the affairs of his close friends and comrades.

With a final tilt of his pen, Richter’s neatly inscribed signature sat itself at the bottom of the letter regarding his concerns. He sighed. The entire night and day prior had consisted of him finishing off an entire week’s worth of paperwork before running out of things to do, prompting him to start on the letter addressed to his younger sister. Perhaps it was the stress speaking, but he himself was starting to believe that the rumors of him being a workaholic was, in fact, true as could be.

Just as he began to fold the crisp sheet of paper, a knock resounded into the room. However, before Richter could answer, the door was haphazardly swung open and the courier brazenly strolled into the room. Five years ago, he, as the newly appointed captain, might have raised his eyebrows at such crude behavior, but his current self could only inwardly shake his head. It seemed that the King had hired yet another troublesome employee who couldn’t keep his personal biased feelings separate from his job.

“Sir Richteris,” the courier said with barely contained disdain, “might I assume that yesterday’s reports have been filed?” His gaze was directed at the now sealed letter on Richter’s desk. The gesture was all Richter needed to know that the wrinkling of his nose was set off by the belief that the knight had been dallying on his official duties all for a “silly letter.”

Coolly setting the envelope in his hands to the side, Richter pushed forward a small stack of documents to where the courier could see it. “Of course. I hadn’t expected someone to come for them so early, but I do appreciate your enthusiasm. I’ll be entrusting these to you in that case.” But right as the courier reached to snatch the papers up, the knight added an uncharacteristic remark. “It would also serve you well to wait after you knock. Some do take it as an offense, after all.”

“Yes, Your Honor. Gladly.” Like a child who had just stepped on hot coals, the man grimaced at Richter’s casual suggestion before excusing himself—this time properly—and scurrying out the door with the documents in hand.

It seemed that some were still unaware that even dogs had the ability to bite their masters should they be treated badly enough. Well, this was an extreme case, so it couldn’t be helped.

Deciding to call for his usual messenger to pick up the rest of the finished paperwork, Richter set off to get some light exercise before breaking for a light meal. Gloves? Check. Sword? Check. His casual clothes would be enough for a few light swings, so his armor could be neglected. With his minor preparations complete, he made his way down to the empty training grounds.

At least, Richter had thought that it would be barren of people so early in the morning.

“Have you come to blow off some steam, Your Grace?” With a playful bow, Richter’s greeting was accompanied by the title said in half-jest, a telltale sign that he meant all that he said in good humor. It wasn’t difficult to see why the eldest prince of the eastern kingdom was at the training grounds so early in the morning. After all, his situation was the very reason why even Richter was fretting enough to need fresh air to clear up his muddled brain.

Seeing that they had both come with similar purposes in mind, Richter lifted up his sheathed sword in front of him. “Would you care for a light spar before breakfast? I don’t believe we’ve crossed arms in quite some time.” It was a good enough reason without touching upon the situation at hand directly. If Reon wished to speak of the arranged marriages, then he’d bring it up himself, and it wasn’t under Richter’s rights to probe any further than his friend would allow...

“Ah, that’s right. We haven’t exchanged training tactics as of late, either. Have we? Or just casual conversation in general.”

—but it couldn’t hurt to just show his concern, would it? [/div] [/div] [/div] [/div] [/div]

[div class="textHere"]The corners of Annette's mouth twitched at the princess' words, although she refrained from a complete smile - seeing too much humour in everything was an unfortunate habit of hers, but which had a decently simple temporary fix. She straightened carefully, murmuring what could possibly be a thank you if anyone had been listening particularly hard. Her Highness cared particularly little about such theatrics, but it was important to never let the facade slip even where no one could see it. Besides, such things could change, and there was something odd about a princess not caring. Of course, as her mother had reminded her time and time again, it was unreasonable and pointlessly asinine to expect everyone else also shared her point of view.

There was always a need to humour royalty, of course, and she yielded to Aeryn's point of view most of the time. She drew the line, however, at addressing anyone without their proper titles. Among a few other minutiae.

"Such are the burdens of royalty, Your Highness." She remarked wryly. "How dreary they must seem compared to the common man's woes."

Strictly speaking, sassing a member of the royal family was also not a good idea, however delicately phrased. Lady Aeryn did look like she needed some cheer, however. Wordlessly, she moved into the space vacated by the maid by the Princess' side, ready to take over the task of preparing the princess for the morning. Sometimes, they were friends, but there was a distinct difference between the Princess and the daughter of a House whose numbers had been drastically reduced by the war.

She opened her mouth to speak again as she handed the princess a soft white towel, more suitable to the task of drying the princess fully. "My morning was absolutely wonderful, milady." She replied, beaming in a way that was particularly jarring with her features and most likely not genuine. "I have completed a letter for Marquessa Diveras informing her of recent events."

Which her mother doubtlessly already knew about before she even started writing. She didn't intend to give mother a possible advantage when they weren't quite on the same side anymore, but she chose to leave that part out. It was too early to be worrying about politics this morning, but a corner of her mind was always watching what she spoke. If the princess could figure it out on her own, then that was fine. She could afford to leave certain things unsaid, though.

While she was chattering away - relatively, considering she rarely brushed even this close to gossip - and attending to the princess, her mind was primarily on the contents of her highness' wardrobe, now. She turned towards the princess with an eyebrow raised. One could communicate so much with an eyebrow.

"Are you allowing me the control your wardrobe this morning, your highness?"

Last night was rough to say the least. Some of there first people to know that Aeryn was to be married where her maids Viana included so that they may prep for there princesses's journey. It was needless to say that the news was hitting Viana hard. To be one of the first know that her one true love was to marry someone else what a blindside hit. Still Viana had duties to Aeryn and would fulfill them despite her feelings. From this came a very late night of packing things Aeryn needed and a very early morning of washing the clothes for today's errands of the princess due to there normal wash maid being home sick. Quickly Viana walked through the halls though she didn't cause a ruckus. Here quick foot steps despite the thick heels of her boots made little sound on the ground as she made her way through the castle. Her hair was tied up how it normally was, her posture upright and straight like a lady should be. Her hands where held out flat in front of her like a small platform and on them sat Aeryn's undergarments, Folded neatly and stacked nicely on one another. As she got to Aeryns room she paused for a sec and made sure her maid outfit was neat and free of smudges or blemishes. Once done she walked into the room. Happily she sent smiles to the other maids and they gestured to the bath. Nodding in silence Viana made her way to the door. Stopping in front of it she was about to knock before hearing words inside. Instantly she recognized Aeryn's and Annette's voices. Taking in a deep breath she then gently knocked on the door a couple times before speaking. "My lady Aeryn. Its me Viana. I have a fresh pair of undergarments for you." Viana said before she gently pushed open the door. Seeing the two Viana gave both a small bow before she entered the bathroom and closed it behind her. Viana paid no mind to the rules of waiting to be allowed in cause it was common for this to happen between the two. Plus being such close friends it wasn't like it was awkward to be around each other while in the bath. The only thing was Aeryn was the one always in the bath. "Good morning my lady. Good morning Lady Annette." Viana greeted the two formally before she softly strode past them. Setting Aeryns undergarments on a small stool by the tub she then turned to the two. Placing her hands neatly in front of her as all maids where taught to do she looked to the ladies and spoke softly. "Do you wish anything else of me lady Aeryn?" Viana asked softly. Surprisingly Viana was acting rather normal though behind her gaze her mind was flooded with saddened thoughts as the marriage of Aeryn to the son of another king stuck in the middle of her thought's. God it was torture to think about. Being so close to Aeryn but so far from what Viana has wanted forever. It was like whatever god's where out there made Viana for there pleasure and loved teasing her with the one thing she wanted. Pushing these thoughts down for fear either Aeryn or Annette might see past her mask to her distress and question her further on it she gave both of them a small smile which didn't help at all.
