The Fall [Strawbreelcy x Pari]

As soon as Lance started asking those questions, Roxy started withdrawing back into her shell. "I-it's nothing," she said quickly, knowing she had already said too much. She glanced out the now-clear windows, wondering if she should just leave. She had dried off by then, her hair still damp but for the most part she was dry.

The cyborg wanted to know where the white building was. She wanted answers, and Lance didn't seem like he would help her that much, except if he gave her where the building was. But she refused to answer his questions, shaking her head. She was scared of what would happen if he found out she was a cyborg. The only memories she had of humans reacting to her were mainly the people in white, and they weren't happy or positive in the least. Most were violent or painful.

Lance seemed calm, but having not knowing him, she didn't know what his temper was like, nor his opinion on cyborgs. She held her arm close to her chest, not wanting him to see it even if it was covered with the jacket. "...Please, can you just tell me where the building is?" Her voice was quiet and sounded world-weary, and she regarded him cautiously, but without hostility.

Lance sighed at Roxy's response, feeling a little frustrated for not getting answers. He didn't know why he was asking them, maybe it was to feed his curiosity on the outside world when he knew he could go out there by himself. The door was unlocked, so why not?

"Fine, I suppose I'll tell you where it is. I'm not getting any answers anyway..." Lance said the last part to himself. "But since it's not a fair deal, at least allow me to take you there. It's pretty far off I recall, and I haven't been outside for a good amount of years... I want to know what's changed." This could be his only chance to go out. His teacher hadn't arrived yet and the pass code was unlocked...

He looked to the window to see that the rain had stopped pouring and only gray clouds were left in the sky. Guess he won't be needing an umbrella-- well, only if Roxy accepts his request.

"Really?" Roxy looked up at Lance, eyes wide. "You... you would?" She fiddled with the jacket, idly noticing for the first time how soft it was. "T-thank you..." It was kind of him to do so, but at the same time, it worried her. When they arrived at the building, would he just drop her off? Or would he want to go inside?

Suddenly she was more worried than relieved. What if he would want to go in? What if he found out she was a cyborg? She swallowed thickly, glancing at him. Was he suspicious? He had to be, with her vague answers, and she hadn't exactly been subtle about hiding her arm. She pulled the collar of the coat up, as if she wanted to hide her face. "I mean, you don't have to," she added hastily, but she knew it was too late.

The cyborg sat there, waiting. The seconds seemed to tick by, and she just hoped that he would just show her where she was going, then be off on his way. It was the first time he had gone out, right? Maybe he wouldn't like the outside, and he'd leave her alone. A voice in the back of her head told her that was ridiculous, but it was a hope she had.

"Well, yes, I'd prefer to accompany you. First of all, you didn't answer any of my questions, and second of all, heaven knows what's out there," he replied with a slight frown. He did want to get something out of this, so he decided going outside would be perfect. Also, he knew it was contradicting, since he himself never went outside, but he knew it was impolite to not accompany someone if they are going somewhere alone.

Lance took a jacket from the closet and found his fairly unused boots in there too. What was the point of wearing them in the house if he wasn't outside? Lance laced them on, knotting one shoe then the other before pulling on his jacket. The boy walked to the entrance, smiling a bit when he saw the system was still unlocked. He took a deep breath, as if this were a "life-changing moment" and looked to Roxy.

"Shall we?"

Roxy stood up, suddenly feeling anxious about what would happen. He wanted answers, and the ones she could give she was not willing to tell. Though she wanted her own answers, but she wasn't sure how she would be received at the building. From what she remembered, it could go one of two ways. She wasn't sure which way she would prefer. All she honestly wanted was to regain her memories.

She went over to the door where Lance was. "...Yeah. I'm ready." She buttoned up the coat, and stuck her hands in her pockets, which also hid her hand. Outside was dark, the ominous black clouds blocking the sun. "A-are you?" He had said he hadn't left his house in... She didn't know, years, she supposed. Hesitantly, she reached for the door handle, glancing at him out of the corner of her brilliant blue eyes as if afraid of how he would react as she opened the door.

"Here we go..."

Oh my goodness I'm so sorry that I haven't posted at all. I've really been busy these weeks and get few time on the computer. If you don't want to roleplay with me anymore I'm totally fine with that. I just don't want to have you wait for such a long time.

Would it be okay if we take a break (just for now) and I'll PM you when I really get the time to do this?

((I got some time to type =7="))

Lance held the door open as Roxy went out first. The rain had lifted, leaving the sky to be a murky gray color. It wasn't something Lance was used to, unlike his sunny, bright window of illusion. There were puddles on the sidewalk and wet mud too. Yuck. The boy closed the door behind him and walked alongside Roxy, making sure that he could see her and not lose her.

"Alright, if I remember correctly, I believe we turn here first..." Lance said mostly to himself. He began leading by taking a right on the sidewalk, the opposite direction he first saw Roxy walking in. Lance walked in silence, unsure of what to talk to the girl about. She obviously didn't like talking to him, and she was kind of weird. Well, weird in the case that she gets frightened easily...
