"Journey of the Heart"
By The Explorer

As I waited for my time,
As none for me had arrived,
As the passion in my heart declined,
I cried out with all my mind.

Then as a bird that takes flight,
An idea rose within my mind,
Instead of waiting with doubt in my heart,
I'd take my expectations to the fullest degree,
And see what a change in perspective would do for me.

This now I write,
At the crossroads of my journey,
Looking back I'm sure,
That whoever she is,
One day I know we shall meet,
And she will be perfect for me,
Until that day arrives,
I shall wait patiently,
And with all of my heart,
If you are out there and read this,
I wait for thee.

"Unconditionally"
By The Explorer

When the love of this world is not enough,
And when the people say words that are really rough,
I will be here to try and make you smile again,
And when I cannot,
I will offer you my shoulder to lean on.

I know as a human I can only love so much,
But before I hit that limit,
I want the one I love to be you,
As your friend,
Or something more,
I will love you with all my heart.

(Agape is the word, google it. I want to be there for my friends no matter what happens, and no matter the cost.)

(This one is more of lyrics to a song than a poem. It is also the theme song for the webcomic I plan on making.)

"Rainbow Heart"
By The Explorer

Clouds are forming under the starry sky,
Our lights shining brightly in our hearts tonight,
When the darkness comes to try and blot out our lights,
I know that we will be just fine.

Chorus

The thunder claps and the lightning strikes,
The pouring rain drowning out our fervent cries,
But no matter how much I want to run away,
I know that you will save me from this darkness today.

Chorus

The sun is rising and the light has come,
Overcoming all odds we've won this fight,
Now rest my weary soul,
And let your light grow a shining rainbow!

[Chorus]

Rainbow Heart Shine your light tonight,
A myriad of colors to pierce the night,
Until the dawn comes and breaks through the sky,
I will be waiting on you to win the fight!

"Frail Humanity"
The Explorer

When the sky is falling,
And takes my heart down with it,
When the mistakes are too much to handle,
And I tell myself I can never change,
When all I dream of is to be a hero,
But all i am inside is a monster,
What will it take to see the light?

I tell myself I will be fine,
That all I need is patience and a rhyme,
But truth be told that feels wrong,
When all I can do is hurt others,
Where do I even belong?

I once said this line,
That being human meant to make mistakes,
And to grow from them,
But it is easy to sing when you're on the top,
Even in this valley,
I can see the faint glimmer of hope.

I want to reach out to you,
I want to be a hero for you,
But if being the monster will keep you safe,
That's more than I could ask for anyway.

My hope was never in myself,
Nor was it in humanity,
My heart's fervent desire is to be a hero,
But when all is done,
And my mistakes shine through,
Is it really possible for me to be hero too?

I latch on to the hope I see,
The glimmer of light that my soul so desperately seeks,
What will it take to find the strength I need,
In order to find the end of my destiny.

"As long as you are breathing, you can change the future."

That is all.

"Who am I?"
Written by: The Explorer

Once I dreamed of greatness,
Of one day being more than just a man,
But honestly speaking,
I'm only human.

I make mistakes,
And sometimes I learn from them,
I push people away,
Only to regret that I wasn't able to stick with them,
I made up lies to reject others,
Only to find that made me even more empty.

I am a Coward,
Through and Through,
The only thing I thought I loved,
Turned out to be a mirage too.

I needed a change,
I wanted to be true,
So I prayed and I prayed,
But the power didn't help.

As it turns out,
Power with no direction,
Or the opportunity to use it,
Is pointless and frail.

So who am I,
What do I want,
As it turns out,
I lack greed.

I wanted freedom and power,
But even with all that I have now,
I am still emotionally weak.

I know,
Yes I am fully aware,
I was never perfect to begin with,
But that's okay,
I'm fine with that,
That just means a change is needed fast.

So here's who I am,
Believe it or not,
I am the human,
Powered or Wrought,
This world will change,
And eventually rot,
But who I am is eternally and royally,
Subject to change,
And at a moment's notice,
Fickle and Ranged,
Yes I am the Blank slate,
With infinite potential,
To be who and what I want,
And to live forever with a thought.

I can do anything and I have no limit,
And the source of my power is equally admitted,
Yes I am a Disciple of my God,
So cut me some slack,
And if you want to join me,
Send me a chat.

"The Idiot Poet"

There once was was a man so lonely,
He spent four years learning poetry,
He loved the art of crafting words,
He forgot the reason why,
Then came the final day,
As quickly as he ran away,
He soon realized his mistake,
So today he remains a virgin,
Who can be this dumb,
His name is The Idiot Poet!

So as it turns out, if I have someone to write for, my poetry is actually not terrible. Which is great because this entire thread is filled to the brim with a focus on me and my emotions.

I propose an alternate route to the Good Ending of this Life Story. I write very specifically for someone random. Let's see how this goes.

Art writhing in pain,
How suitable,
Only one can say,
Amidst the fears of the very next day,
The Artist continues on the way,
I want to do more,
I call myself a friend,
But this Idiot Poet,
Has no courage.

The power of the mind,
The desire of the soul,
Wherein lies the truth,
Of the Alchemist's Home,
At the end of every day
He'd be smarter than before,
Then he trained for years,
Before arriving at the core,
After Twenty-Seven Years,
He was finally defeated,
By the man who out-screamed him,
And the will of the people.

There's nothing left,
But the beat of your heart,
When all else fails,
Just trust in yourself,
And if you don't think,
That you can do it,
Just remember that,
I will always be there to help you through it.

Long ago I had a dream,
Of happy worlds,
And brighter things,
I rode in the mouth of a giant fish,
Down the rapids that were faster than this,
I saw a space ship become a city,
In the basin of a waterfall cascade,
I saw a park filled with hope,
And a city of monsters that always fought,
I felt these worlds were my creations,
And I hold them more dearly,
Than my hesitations.
