Name: Amari

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Species: moth but like not moth?


Amari stands at 5'0 tall and, though I couldn't make his wings too large on the photo, he has a wingspan of 10'0. Normally he wraps his wings around himself as a sort of robe as seen in the picture to the right. He rarely ever stops smiling, and his eyes glow in the dark.

Magic(If any): he seems to have some sort of ability, but it's unknown to him.

Personality: Amari is friendly and often underestimated due to his approachable appearance. He rarely shouts, but when he does he can get extremely loud. The best way to describe him is he won't start a fight but he will end one. It's hard to faze him with insults and violence, never giving the reaction craved by those who attempt to harm him. More will be revealed in the story.

Backstory: Amari was born in a poor part of the city, mostly living by stealing anything he could find. Later he started bounty hunting after taking fighting lessons from a friend, and he made enough money to support himself, though he is constantly in a financial struggle because he has to support his sister Niki, who is only 12 years old. After he heard about the job to find a diamond for someone and how much it paid, he jumped on the opportunity for himself and his sister.

Other: Amari is attracted to bright lights, though he is able to control himself and keep going with what he's doing when he's around them. If a light (such as a high powered flashlight) is shined in his eyes he will completely stop what he's doing and stare at it until it goes away. Amari holds a dagger concealed under his clothing. His fangs are sharp, though he has no other teeth since his main diet is blood and sugary items such as orange juice.

Name: Noir

Age: Looks to be in his 20s, but his real age is unknown.

Gender: Male

Species: Specter turned Demon

Appearance: Noir prefers to stay in his human form, where he stands at exactly 6’. His brown skin is without blemish, and his head is bald except for a long black braid. His narrow eyes are purple (and often seem to glow in darkness), and a smile often adorns his face. Several amethysts dot his forehead—one large oval in the center of his forehead, with a smaller oval on either side, these slanted in such a way to almost look like a second pair of eyes; the last amethyst is smaller, a circle in-between his own eyes.

The purples of his clothing are accented with gold. His baggy long-sleeved shirt is a lighter purple than the rest of his clothes, and it falls to his thighs. A gold sash wraps around his waist, the ends hanging freely. He wears dark purple baggy trousers (called chalvar). From his shin to his ankle the trousers are covered by gold silk that is wrapped around his legs. His lower arms are wrapped in the same style. Dark purple boots adorn his feet. A small brown satchel rests against his left side. A purple traveling cloak drapes his body, covering his head—though most of his face is unobscured.

His demon form is similar to that of a naga (specifically, the more snake-like ones). His scales are various shades of purple, with the occasional gold scale sprinkled throughout. His eyes become snake-like.

Magic?: Yes, purple in color. Skilled in permeation, as well as summoning (specifically, snakes). Permeation is where he holds the greater skill, seeing as he was originally a specter, but it takes much more concentration now that he has a tangible body. However, the biggest weakness to this power is silver, it anchoring him/not allowing him to pass through.

Personality: Noir is very careful and precise in his actions. He likes to think of himself as a gentleman, his words chivalrous and his movements poised. However, everything he does is for his own amusement or to gain further power. Underneath this gentleman act he is nothing but arrogant and condescending. He doesn’t like to get his hands dirty, but he’s willing to do whatever it takes to gain more power. He can have a bit of a temper, but it is not often it flares.

Backstory: Noir prefers his past to be a mystery, having spent much of it as nothing more than a malevolent spirit, until he gained the power to become something more. As a demon, he has spent the last couple of centuries growing his power, though he tries not to draw attention to himself.

As a natural result of such a long life, he has amassed quite a fortune, which allows him to live a private but extravagant lifestyle.

As for power, there is never enough of it. So, upon hearing of the diamond, Noir made his way to Bjerg, deciding his best chance at success was to work with some of his competitors rather than against them all.

Other: His satchel is magic, able to hold a large quantity of items: food, water, basic medical supplies, hunting supplies, camping supplies, money, a few weapons (daggers, poison dart gun, pistol, and a short sword). This bag might sound like a magical McGuffin, but Noir is a selfish being with a taste for comfort, so he only brought supplies for himself. Also, the bag doesn’t stop food from going bad, and doesn’t stop the contents from being damaged if the bag gets wet/burned/etc.
