When a young girl is hired by a cruel master to be his new servant, she dreads her new life but is forced to accept it. Then one day, she breaks a priceless artifact... Releasing the demon trapped within.
Agnes was recently hired by a rather lazy and evil man. He had two sons and a daughter, all equally as nasty. Riches and royalty did that. Though they were no king and princes, they were still lords of the land. Agnes's job was by no means easy... however it was better than working on the streets. The owner of the house had no problem reminding her of that.
The middle child was proububly the nicest of the bunch. Although he still had a bit of a spoiled attitude, he was never intentionally mean like the rest of his siblings and father. The Lady of the house passed away because of disease, but a few of the servants said she wasn't all that nice either.
Agnes happened to be one of the 'favorite maids' so she got passed around the people of the house. Meaning she got to serve a person a day. Today was Foster's day. The middle child. He has just asked her to go get him some tea and something to snack on while he was doing his study.
Keeping her eyes on the ground just in case she came across anyone, Agnes hurried down the hallway with a tray of tea and biscuits for Foster, the middle child of the master of the house. He was actually one of the nice ones... But she still hurried, just in case one of the other children or perhaps the master himself had come to check up on her.
However, in her haste, she gripped over a bump in the rug and spilled onto the floor. The tray in her hands went flying, crashing into a stand holding up one of the master's priceless artifacts. To her horror the stand wobbled, then slowly fell over. The artifact smashed against the ground as she had to bite her lip to avoid a despairing cry. She was going to be punished dearly for this... If not thrown out completely. Oh this wasn't good...
Agnes was suddenly grabbed before he started to spin around, dancing around the hall with a man. He was rather tall and had very long black hair and three sets of horns. Two small ones around his head like a crown and two large ones like ram horns. He has two small fluffy like elf ears, black like his hair, little white tuffs of fluff from them. His eyes were a bright orange red. His hands were black, but it felt soft like skin.
The man danced around the hall with poor Agnes for a bit, "You freed me~ Oh yes you did! And such a gift comes to the person who broke me free!" The man said almost happily.
This man... was like no other man she had seen before. The only thing she could relate him to were the old tales of demons... But he couldn't be a demon, they didn't exist, did they? And what did he mean by free him? All she had done was break an age old priceless artifact...
Okay so maybe she had released a demon. What did that mean for her? Finally managing to tug herself away from the demon, she tumbled back to the floor but hardly cared. "Who are you?" Her voice wavered. "What do you want with me?"
(I had changed his name by the way haha. Some time ago. I was going to use a curtain character, but decided to use a new one. Since he is just introduced, it didn't matter. x3)
"Allow me to introduce myself." The horned man said with a grin, "My name is... Vincent Nehemiah Giroux... a powerful demon who was sealed away some time by some priest whom had a thing against anything that seem remotely evil.. granted I'm not alll that goood... details... details..." Vincent said trailing off. He waved his hands a bit while he talked. He looked down at the girl with a wide grin, he had been out minutes and he was already enjoying himself. "You can call me Vin... Because you broke my cozy little home, you were marked with a curse... the curse of dealing with me!" He said happily.
Her eyes widened slightly in horror as her tears were confirmed. This man was a demon! And then it only got worse when he said she was stuck with him! Was he going to follow her around everywhere? Oh she was going to get into so much trouble for this...
That reminded her! She had to bring Foster tea and snacks! Glancing over at the fallen tray, the tea had miraculously survived the fall intact, although the biscuits were powder on the carpet. She would have to clean that later. "Mr. Vincent, as much as I would like to stay here and talk, I must get back to work." She spoke as she gathered up the tea and hurried down the hall to the study, where Foster currently was.
Vincent watched Agnes as she ran off to go work again. She just left him there.... by himself. What a jerk. Leaving him all by himself in a brand new world. So long and lonely. Not really. Vincent thought to himself, grinning before disappearing, cleaning up the area from the mess the girl made earlier.
When she got back to Foster, the man was sitting at his desk still reading his book and writing several notes. He looked up when she rushed in before looking back to his book, "I thought you had gone and tripped and spilled everything again. No matter, as long as you cleaned up after yourself." Foster said, not particularly picking like his father was.
Flushing, Agnes stuttered an apology before placing the tray on the table next to Foster, shakily pouring him a cup of tea before curtsying and making her way out of the room. With a small sigh, she thanked the gods that it was Foster she was serving today. Otherwise she would have been whipped, or worse, fired...
Shaking those thoughts away, Agnes hurried back to the area where she was broken the artifact and spilled her biscuits, intent on cleaning up her mess before someone else could see. However, when she arrived, there was no trace of the mysterious man nor the mess she had left behind. Had he cleaned it for her? What a nice gesture. Perhaps she had been wrong about him...
The statue was replaced with a rather robust person dancing. It was indeed an expensive work of art. The place was pretty spotless as well. However there was no sign that Vin had even been there before hand. Forster of course was waiting for Agnes to come back... as with snacks since she only returned to him with the tea.
