The Dead Walk (Open)

For whatever reason, Eden always made a huge deal whenever the undead was within eyesight. She made it seem as if she was positive that a hoard would find her, and make her their own personal manwich. It was silly, because in the end, she'd just have to move her dresser all the way back to her bedroom. A waste of precious energy.

--- Merged Double Post ---

OOC - Hello? :I

Rosa watched them run away not even bothering to see they were doing fine, "Marcus you scared them off holding that gun of yours. He wasn't there a car shop on the next street over beside that hotel?" she asked. He simply nodded and with that Rosa darted back into the shop heading towards the backdoor. She leaped over the air mattress set up on the floor and skipped around the skattered piles of equipment finally reaching the back door. She zipped through and appeared in the alleyway. She could hear the groans of the undead.

Checking to see if the zombies were still there, Eden saw... a girl! And a boy! Looking very closely, they showed no signs of being bitten. No blood-shot eyes, no bite marks, no blood. This may be her chance to be with civilization! Thoughts zoomed through Eden's head. Thinking quick, she unlocked the front door for the first time in 10 years... and ran down the steps of the hotel, pushing a few body parts off to the side. She bursts through the glass double doors of the hotel lobby, chasing after the girl. "Please! Wait!" she yelled after her. Sure, it may of sounded odd to the girl, but Eden was over-joyed!

Rosa was shocked by the girl's appearance. Crap the undead had spotted her and now they had to get out of their, "Come on," she yelled hustling the girl through the ally. "Marcus lock down," she said continuing to yell. She slammed the door Puma was glued to her side making each task a little bit harder. The windows were already barred and over that they had created wooden shutters to close. The glass was also reinforced with the metal gates you saw it shopping malls during closing time. "You sit," she said to the girl pointing to the bed as she continued reinforcing the windows.

OOC - Okay, I had a derp moment. :P

With hesitation, Eden quickly followed the girl, and not to forget her canine companion, into the shop. Eden took deep breaths, overwhelmed with the moment. The fact that she had left the hotel for the first time in forever... found survivors.... and the fact that undead are chasing after us. It's a lot to take in! I sat on the bed, just like the girl had asked. "Not that this is the time to greet, but I'm Eden."

"Rosa and that is Marcus and the dog is Puma," Rosa said closing the last shutter. Marcus had finally pushed the old filing cabinet in front of the other door and now they were officially locked in. "Well it's nice to see a new face," Marcus said training his gun on the door.

I chuckled, "You have no idea..." I glanced over at Marcus's gun and thought "Wow, these people are serious...". I smiled at the both of them, and patted Puma on the head.

"I take it you don't get out much," Marcus commented as Rosa began fumbling around in the "kitchen". The "kitchen" consisted of a coolers holding all of their water bottles and all of the nonperishable foods they could find.

"Hey Eden you look like you could use a good meal come take a peak," Rosa called. There was no sense in being quiet the zombies already knew their location.

"Don't get out much?" Eden chuckled. "Talk about 10 tens of being cooped up in a small hotel room. Eh, it did it's job." She said with a smile, looking over at Rosa. She looked down at her thin stomach. "You bet." Then stood up, and looked at the available foods. Some would think in an undead apocalypse, food would be scarce, but believe it or not, there was super markets filled with food around town... then again, most of the best stuff has spoiled by now. She grabbed an energy drink, and a protein bar. "It's nice to know that I've been able to keep a healthy diet despite the situation." Eden said with sarcasm in her voice. It was nice to have people in this world who were kind... and virus free that is.

Well, everyone went into a shop, that is currently acting like a safe house. My character recently left her hotel room to join everyone, and right now we are in the shop. :3

Ryan looked around nervously at the shop. 'We should be heading towards the work shop...but I guess we can stop...' he thought. He heard something fall to his right, and he saw a dark mass in the shadows. He raised his gun, and aimed it directly at the mass' head. "'Bout time you aimed that thing at my head!" A voice growled. "You going to pull the trigger, jack a**?" "...Luke?..." Ryan hissed. "Da** right it's me!" The voice snapped. "I thought I lost you back in Fergus Falls..." Ryan said softly. "One horde ain't gonna do me in that easily." The voice sighed as a man limped out of the shadows. "But they did manage to make me trip and sprain my ankle."

Name:Luke

Age:29

Gender:Male

Appearance: http://www.flickr.com/photos/another_point_in_time/5120656825/

Weapons:He normally ends up using melee weapons. His favorite is a machete, which Ryan picked up because he thought he was dead. After that he would use a bat, than a golf club. If he has to, he'll use guns or bows.

History:Luke doesn't tell anyone much of his past. He tells them he worked in a lab. He tells people he also use to be in the military. Lastly, he tells people he killed his dad because he had killed his mother. If you ask for anymore than that, he'll ask 'How many times do you think I would have to hit you in the head, for this bat to bash your head into dust?'

Eden unwrapped her protein bar, and took a big bite. With a full mouth, she spoke, "So, where are we heading anyway?" She brushed her hair behind her ear, and swallowed.

Rosa sighed, "Marcus and I mostly stay around here, we haven't really left since the whole apocalypse thing," she said pulling her derringer out. She began the intricate process of cleaning the tiny weapon.

I'm just going to borrow Alana's again and then there was the other couple of posts

"Well, everyone went into a shop, that is currently acting like a safe house. My character recently left her hotel room to join everyone, and right now we are in the shop. :3"

Eden nodded. "Yeah... I wonder if their is a place anywhere that is zombie-free." She then shook her head, and sighed. "Let me rephrase that. A place where the population is under control." Eden said, taking another bite of her protein bar... pacing back and forth. She then thought of her lack of self-defense. She didn't even have a gun...

History:Faith is human, but also a slayer; her job was to slay vampires, but now with the zombies taking over, she can lend her hand with this. Recently out of prison for murders committed at age 16, Faith is now on the path to redemption.

Full bio: Yes, I know it's long:

(Faith is based on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer character with a fleshed out past)

Height: 5'5

Weight: 120

Eyes: Brown

Hair: Brown

Sexuality: Bisexual

Faith Eliza Lehane was born on December 14, 1983, to young parents in Boston who, though they didn't entirely hate each other, had far from a strong marriage. Diane Lehane was pregnant upon marrying Jack; the two quickly tired of each other, and as Diane, throughout Faith’s early childhood, began to drink progressively, the two began to have quite a volatile and disrespectful marriage to each other and were not above screaming at and occasionally hitting each other. Faith was an only child due to two miscarriages that Diane had when she was very young, one which she witnessed. Both were possibly caused by her mother's excessive drinking and not taking care of herself while pregnant.

Diane was an angry, sloppy drunk who was easily infuriated. She slapped Faith around from the time she was little if she didn't keep out of her way and also emotionally and sometimes physically neglected her. At other times, particularly when melancholy, she seemed genuinely remorseful of her treatment of Faith, would hug and apologize to her, calling her her little Firecracker, and would attempt to make amends. This never lasted long, however, particularly as Faith grew older and challenged and resented her more openly.

Jack was quieter, and rarely allowed Diane to mistreat Faith when he was present. This would exacerbate the fights her parents had, as Diane grew jealous of his protectiveness. Jack was usually nice to her when he was around and sometimes even did typical fatherly things such as read her stories. Faith nearly worshipped him in her early years because he /was/ nice to her, especially compared to her mother. He even flirted with her mildly in a way that as a child she did not understand, and in her childish way she reciprocated, in his mind at least, by often touching him or wanting to sit on his lap.

Jack, however, was a pedophile, sexually attracted to young girls. By the time Faith was five, he had started to molest her. He did so very gradually at first, and not in a rough or hurtful manner that would alert her that it was wrong. At this point in time, the first time that he molested her, Faith split off inside her mind into another personality, another five year old version of herself called Liza. Faith was unaware of Liza dwelling within her mind, simultaneously experiencing her abuse with her, until she was twenty years older. As Faith grew, however, in experience and age, Liza did not. By the time she was eight Jack had started to rape her, which /did/ hurt her, but by then she was so used to him treating her in a sexual manner that she was very confused and still wanted to believe that it was okay. Each time he used her Jack would apologize later and be very nice to her. He told her that he loved her so much he couldn't help himself (setting up extreme issues for her future issues with trust, love and meaningful sex with people she loved). It wasn't until several years later that Faith began to understand what he was really doing and started to fight back.

Diane knew without being told what was going on, or at least had a vague sensing of it, even through her alcohol haze. She didn't try to stop it or say anything about it to either of them, but rather grew progressively nastier towards Faith as a result. She also slid further into alcoholism.

By the time Faith was twelve or thirteen she was leaving home as often as she could, skipping school to hang out with other kids from bad families who weren't exactly being sterling citizens. She went through several older boyfriends who also treated her shabbily (Ronnie of the bullwhip, Kenny, and Steve) because she didn't expect anything else out of male figures in her life.

At age fourteen she found her mother dead in her bed, having choked on her own vomit. Panicking, grieving in her own repressed way, Faith ran away, thinking illogically that she would be blamed and not wanting to live alone with her father. She lived on the street for nearly six months, befriending another young girl who called herself Legs, who helped her to survive on the streets. When Faith was arrested by the police after nearly killing a man who attempted to rape her and Legs, and Legs took off, her Watcher came and bailed her out, taking her in and beginning to train her.

As she spent more time with her Watcher, Diana Dormer she slowly began to trust her, then to love her as a mother figure. She was called after Kendra's death at the age of fifteen, and a few months after that, a vampire called Kakistos came to town and tortured her Watcher to death in front of her, after a newly vampire turned Legs betrayed her both. Legs then was staked by Faith.

In Buffy the Vampire Slayer season three, Faith arrives in Sunnydale, having been activated as the Slayer by Kendra's death. Faith tries to fit in with Buffy, who she quickly falls for but denies it, and her friends, but becomes increasingly isolated and bitter as the season progresses. while trying to show Buffy the fun side of slaying, Faith accidentally kills Deputy Mayor Allan Finch , a human being whom she mistakes for a vampire. Feeling more alienated than ever, she betrays the Scooby Gang and allies herself with the villainous Mayor of Sunnydale eventually forming a sincere father-daughter relationship with him. At this time Faith splits inside her mind again into the sixteen year old version of herself, Fay, who is exaggeratedly homicidal and vehement. After Faith tries to murder Buffy's vampire lover Angel under the Mayor's orders, the two Slayers finally battle it out in the season finale, a confrontation which leaves Faith alive but comatose.

Waking up from her coma, she seeks revenge on Buffy by switching their bodies using a mystical device left to her by the now-deceased Mayor. As Buffy is taken into custody by the Watchers' Council for crimes she did not commit, Faith discovers for the first time what it is like to be surrounded by loving friends and family. After feeling obligated to rescue a church full of people from vampires, Faith battles Buffy once again, expressing extreme self-hatred before being returned to her own body. The storyline is continued in the first season of spin-off series Angel, as Faith escapes to Los Angeles and is hired by Wolfram & Hart to assassinate Angel. Instead, she plots an intricate plan to have Angel kill her, but Angel convinces her to face the consequences of her actions, and helps her on the path to redemption. Faith hands herself over to the police and she is sentenced to a women's prison, where Angel later visits her

Angel is reverted to the evil Angelus after having his soul removed. Faith is approached by her former Watcher, Wesley Wyndam-Pryce , who informs her of Angelus's presence, sparking her to break out of prison and help them. Wanting to help Angel the way he helped her, Faith injects herself with a mystical drug and feeds herself to Angelus in order to incapacitate him. She nearly dies from the drug, but during a psychic mind walk, Angel persuades her subconscious not to give up and that life is worth living

Afterwards, a recovered Faith travels back to Sunnydale, where she plays a significant role in the battle against the First Evil in the final season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. she reconciles with her fellow Slayer, although their relationship is tested when the Potential Slayers appoint Faith as their leader over Buffy. This decision later proves disastrous when Faith's plan leads them into a trap, leaving several girls dead. She and the survivors are saved by Buffy, and the two finally make peace with one another. They fight the final battle of Sunnydale and survive.

I guess then, Faith ended up on her own and stumbled into the zombie apocalypse fight.
