Cirque Lore/history.
The Cirque de Monstres was founded in 1876 by a very wealthy man named Monsieur Thomas. Now, Thomas was a kind and caring man who at seemed perfectly normal. This however was false; Thomas disclosed to very few people what he actually was. The only person alive who knows this is Nora. Now, he got the idea for starting the cirque after seeing the church kill a half human and the many that were outcasted and unable to survive. He bought a large plot of land in Guyancourt, France and went to work. He had simple 2 room homes built on the property and, transformed some of the land into the cirque. After construction was complete he went to work finding members. He ran into a familiar face, a succubus he had met a few times. Now this succubus was Nora, he told her his plans and she said it was brilliant. She introduced him to Paul that day as well. Now, at the time Nora and Paul were known as Elizabeth (Thomas called her Lizzy) and Fredrick and Nora was a striking blonde and Paul was clean shaven and much younger looking. She told Thomas to check an area in Paris known as the underground. As this place was a popular hiding spot for demons. Thomas went to this area and found the first member named Annabelle. She was a vampire he found in the underground. After that more and more members joined. During the years it was under Thomas’s care many members came and went and was also investigated. In 1880 a cardinal from Paris brought a team of priests to investigate the Cirque. He was able to convince them to leave after making a deal (that did involve money) to keep the members from killing humans (one that he did not really enforce too much). Also during this time Paul and Nora visited quite often. He died at the ripe age of 97. He willed the cirque and its members to Paul but, he did because Nora was around. He really trusted her to run the cirque. But, Paul was a business man so he knew the cirque would also be good in his hands. Many members stayed in France at the original cirque site when Paul said the cirque was to tour the world and be headquartered in Germany. Since then the cirque has toured the world. In 1945 the cirque was investigated for kidnappings, they lost members and fell into the dark times after loosing some members. In 1949 he started the cirque up again.
Noted members:
Monsieur Thomas: founder of the cirque, had a sibling relationship with Nora and a professional one with Paul. He was very nice and always knew how to cheer people up. Rumor has it he actually dated Nora but, they kept it a secret.
Annabelle: first member of the cirque, a vampire. She was rather cold and was one of the ones that stayed behind in France when Paul took over. Rumor has it she runs the cirque in France.
Samuel: an angel, he was known for helping Thomas with the negations with the church. He is still around and stayed with the cirque in Paris. Rumor has it he is married to Annabelle.
Rita: She controlled the weather, which is why the weather was always nice. She was around since the beginning and mysteriously disappeared in 1921. Rumor has it the church was responsible.
Nikita: She came as suddenly as she disappeared. A succubus, she tried to seduce Thomas and Paul and fought with Nora. She was known for having wild love parties in her house much to the others disliking. She joined in 1900 and left in 1919. Rumor has it she was a demon queen.
Danny: A kind Irish human who worked for the cirque. He had fallen in love with a non-human who was killed by the church. He died at the age of 87 in 1926. He joined the cirque in 1894.
Nora: a succubus snake charmer that was basically Paul's mother. Sinceshe raised him. She was always around the cirque and was like a sister to Thomas. She has disappeared and no one is quite sure where she went. Q
Noted relationships:
Thomas and Nora: very close, there wasn’t a member that didn’t knowNora.
Thomas and Paul: distant, more professional. Thomas only knew Paul because of Nora.
Nora and Paul: like a mother a son, he couldn't imagine life without her. While she could, they would butt heads at time but she truly cared for him.
Nora and Nikita: they hated each other. Anytime the two saw each otherit ended in a fight.
Nora and the cirque: rocky at times but when the going got tough she had their backs no matter what.
Nikita and Thomas: she wanted him in every way.
Nikita and Paul: same as Thomas.
