Snow
15i20qq.jpg

Snow nodded as he told her to calm, to speak slower. But again her voice was lost as a familiar ping rang out in her blood. Vira. Snow snapped her head, frowning as she looked for the warrior woman, confused that she had come after her… but she was gone. Hmm… Another ping rang out but it was so faint... not really there at all so she paid no mind to the projections hiding as they followed her and Vira. Snow was again distracted by the man’s words, turning back to look at him with her big eyes. Makings of a hero… oh wow.

She smiled softly, biting her lip as he cleaned the blood off of her. “Th… um Thank you Khayn.” She spoke softly, trying not to stutter or whisper. But then he had to flirt, reminding her of Ryu. Her chest, neck and cheeks flushed as she took a step back, wrapping herself in on her arms. God she seemed to have a knack for getting saved by big ole’ flirts. A yelp escaped her as he picked her up, her arms cradled in her chest as she looked at him.

“Fr-friends? I um… well y-yes, I m-mean um no. I mean well… um what I mean to say is that.” Snow hid her face in her palms as her pale skin colored like a tomato, not pretty or petite blushing in the slightest. And it wasn’t from the way he held her or the way his arms looked while he did. It was that she was making an utter fool of herself in front of someone who thought that SHE of all people could maybe be a hero.

“What I mean to say is I do um have a group, they should be at the inn, but they um… well they are not um, that is to say is they aren’t my group to help me or anything. They do help, I mean of course they do. But we um… didn’t become friends because of that… it was um… we, well not we, I wasn’t involved. But um… well a fight happened and… long story short we are now on the run. And yea… So um, no one is gunna be too fond of us either. Especially since we probably have bounties on our head. I mean… well those in the fight do… mine is um… it’s for something else. But yea… the um… inn. They are at the inn. In the um… inn.”

Snow peeked at him, groaning on the inside and hitting her head up against a wall. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. “I actually got involved in the first place kinda just like this. Saw someone in trouble when they were thrown through a window and um, well didn’t know they were thugs but I tried dragging this guy away to an alley to be well… safe… when a fight brought the whole building down and I was saved… So you know… trying to be brave, and ending up needing saving. I really should learn my lesson.” Snow whispered, shrugging a bit, her hands tight against her since she did not know where to put them that was appropriate.

“Thank you, for um, saving me. But I am sure I can make it back to where I came from. Since you need to um, well keep a low profile. Our group is just an abnorm fest of weird and attention grabbing…”

An arm floating aimlessly in empty space, never to be touched by the one it desires. Such is that of the hand of Sera, whose slim arm frozen from the apparent, hopefully unintended, rejection. Twice now that the plant lady has decided against making minimal friendly contact... whereas the man upon her shoulders is in much closer proximinity to a much more vulnerable location upon her body. 'Okay.... hands off it is.' Sighing deeply, letting the frustration and slight anger float away like whispy mist, Sera turned slowly and watched as Kore made her way into the inn... bar? Inn bar? Bar Inn? Standing there contemplating the nature of the establishment, Sera's mind completely disreguarded the comment of being followed, and jerked back to Earth as someone flew out from the entrance, screaming airborne, before landing with a thud that even she could hear. Sera cringed a little, imagining the pain he must be in to flop on the solid floor. Whoever did that must be pretty strong, sensible to be hired in a town like this one.

By now, everyone went their own way: the inn bar, probably where that scream came from, or both, and Ryuji and Kaia had gone someplace together alone. She didn't see them after entering town with the majority of the group. 'Oh Ryuji, too soon.' She thought to herself.

Taking another deep breath of dusty air, Sera exhaled loudly. "Might as well go into the bar. Inn. Place. Standing out here is going to attract unwanted attention. If people wanna gang up on me, at least I can smash with glass." Remembering what someone had given her the night before, Sera added, "And drink in peace... Ugh... Mom's gonna yell at me if she found out how much I drank." Speaking out loud to herself, the entire time, Sera resignatedly entered the bar, waving once to who seemed to be the barkeep, and selected an empty table by a window. Unzipping her bag, Sera took out the bottle, and yanked out the cork. The bottle made an audible "thwump" as it came away. Smelling a sweet, bitter scent from the top, Sera slowly sipped, nearly coughing from the unexpected intensity. 'This probably isn't helping my image... but who cares anyway.' Leaning back, she looked out the window, almost a look of boredom displayed on her face, lonliness clouding her eyes; taking little sips every once inawhile.

Nicholas was dazed, one second he was leaving the bar and the next he was on his back looking up at the ceiling and a stranger. He looks at his left arm and quickly pulls his sleeve over it. Nicholas had only been in town for a day or so but he already wanted to leave. "You have one mean throw" Nicholas stands up and dusts himself off, he tightens the straps on his mask and pulls his hood down revealing his snow white hair "If you can just point me to the nearest town or settlement from here I'll be on my way..." he scratches his head as he speaks With any luck I can get out of here soon. This place might very well be my grave if I'm not careful. Nicholas sighs and puts his hands in his pockets and notices Vira out of the corner of his eye, she was looking at him as if he'd just done something awful. He knew he was kicking the hornet's nest by attacking the thugs but they weren't open to verbal negotiation. Thugs like these usually left the speaking to their weapons anyway. He looks at his shoes and then back at Morgan

Kore Dair
Kore's lip twitched up for a second as it seemed she was given the go ahead to drag him out. "You... You flashed me to KEEP EVERYONE SAFE?!?", she roared, and in one swift movement, batted his hands off her shoulders, and grabbed his shirt, dragging him off his seat. Her expression has changed like a switch had been flicked, she now looked about ready to murder him a few times over.
Fuming, she took some quick steps backwards, dragging him by his shirt out of the door. After crossing the street, she let go of his shirt, pushing him back with force as she did.
"What did you think was going to happen?! You start pissing on a tree, and then YOU.", she shoved him again, "CALLED OUT TO ME.", another shove, this time she grabbed his shirt again, and pulled him closer.
"You better fucking hope I'm right about your power, because if I don't forget this, or you.... I'll chop it off, and let you bleed to death.", she hissed furiously right in his face, staring him right in the eyes. Dropping his shirt, she spun on her heel and walked back to the bar calmly as if nothing had happened.
She went back to her seat next to Zephyr, and couldn't help but smile at his antics. "Now that that's sorted... Would you like some water?" she asked him nonchalantly, as she turned around to look at Tanya and the bouncer guy. She had a little gold left - living up in the mountains next to a river did have its perks - and panning for gold was one of them.

Jess simply nodded at the older man's offer to travel with the two to the town. "Good indeed." She thought to herself as she allowed him to lead the way. For a short while she was unsure of his ability to traverse the forest, but before long it became clear that this was the fastest route. Personally she would have followed the water, a safe route perhaps, but not the shortest.

As they approached the town, Jess joined the two as they headed toward the inn, for a short while at least. Peeking inside over the man's shoulder, a few familiar faces appeared. "So much for rushing off to help the townsfolk." She wondered, shaking her head in disgust. It seemed even those who were responsible for destroying the other inn were here, the one who foolishly caused the shock-wave, as well as the girl who seemed to attract all the wrong sorts of attention. Again it seemed she was already mouthing off about a gang leader's bounty, in the middle of a rough bar, in the middle of a gang infested town, surely nothing could go wrong.

"I'll look into more pressing matters." She stated in a nonchalant tone to the one who had led her here, a stale expression across her face as she turned over toward the stream that ran by the town. Regardless, an inn was the last place she wanted to be, if she didn't need any information there was no reason for her to be anywhere close to one; too many people in too small a local for her liking. The rambling of individuals being thrown around didn't seem to phase the hooded girl, though as the obnoxious floral woman dragged out a stranger and began to berate him, Jess couldn't help but glance over. "And they wonder why so many despise abnorms." She sighed at the sight, in truth she admired the girl's abilities, to be able to create life and help it grow, now that was something special, but it seemed wasted on such an individual.

Beginning to stroll over to the water supply, it seemed the collection area was barred off, a couple of goons standing at the gates. As Jess approached to enter, they collapsed to bar entry, one of them sticking his hand out in a motion as to receive payment. It was far too common in a place like this, the most basic necessities being pedaled by those who flex their power over the helpless. The thin girl simply stood before them, wordless, causing them to let out a couple of impatient grunts, a small frown the only visible feature on her face. They were soon distracted however by the fearful and unsure cries of villagers watching the black sludge begin to drift down toward their supply. Some confused noises came from the enforcers as they turned to examine what was going on. Using this distraction, Jess quickly took her hands from her pockets, placing the tips of each index finger onto the closest shoulder of each thug, before rapidly placing them back into her hood pockets. Before long, and after a short groan of discomfort from each of them, the area of contact had frozen, rapidly spreading across their entire bodies. They looked like strong men, perhaps they would be alright, after a few weeks of thawing... Jess simply stepped over them, having no patience for their kind, venturing toward the water source to get a closer look.

Jackson once again sighed at Vira's bout of brashness. If she was trying to ask for something to do, perhaps if she wasn't trying to seem so standoffish all the time people would be more willing to help her. He then noticed both Kore, the boy she found in the forest, and Sera enter the bar. In Kore's case she walked. in looking for the unfortunate Lucas finding him at the bar. She had grabbed his shirt and yelled at him before dragging him along while walking back over to the boy, he didn't know his name, but he might as well figure it out soon. Then he spied Sera drinking alone by the window. ~Shit, It must be really bad if she's doing that.~ Putting his flask back in his coat, he stood up and walked over to her. "You know it's not healthy to drink alone, why don't you come and sit with me over there?" He pointed to the table he was at.

'Who is that person that Kore is dragging out? Shouldn't the person in charge say something about it?' Sera idly tapped the wooden table, whilst watching despondent, gray men and women walk by. The dust kicked up by their worn boots was a familiar memory, imagining the regular stops her old squad made all the time. If they saw her now, she wouldn't hear the end of it. Taking another sip, Sera noticed she had to tip the bottle even further. Swishing the liquid inside, it seemed that she had drank a few inches out of it. The tingly sensation she felt in her arms was a clear indication that she should probably stop before she gets intoxicated further. Probably.

Sitting forward, Sera let her arms rest on the table as Jackson approached her and invited her over to his table. Looking past him, she eyed the table that Jackson came from. "It's not healthy to drink in the first place, alone or not. Frankly, I'd say drinking with a partner is more unhealthy, taking more into consideration." Sera took the bottle in her hand, and offered it to Jackson. "Here. So... you come here to my table, and then ask me to walk back with you to that empty table over there?"

Ryuji Nakamoto

He felt pathetic. Here he was trying to be strong and this little girl he'd just met was supporting him. Damn Fox. Ryuji could've sworn he heard chuckling in his mind as he let Lilac sit him down. She was looking at his chest and Ryuji realized he had similar marks form earlier. "Seems your abnormality is quite potent." Ryuji chuckled as his body started healing up. The fox wasn't interfering with this, probably because permanent damage to their shared body would make him weak and useless to the Army. "Sorry, I used my robe to protect Snow in the last town. I didn't want her thorns stabbing into me. Though I may have healing, I still feel the pain of everything I have to heal through. It's rather......excruciating." Ryuji looked smiled up as Kaia introduced herself. "Kaia huh? It's fitting." He smiled as he handed her back her coat. "I'm fine Kaia. My......The abnormality I use has been honed through years of rather, intense, training." Ryuji tried to keep his past and emotions hidden, but this woman had seen him in that state twice now.

"You're not going to ask?" He spoke coldly for the first time since coming to New America. "I'm sure you're curious about what just happened." He mimicked the pose before staring at the ground. "Everyone would naturally be curious about the man who will cry while in meditation. Who clears their mind only to become saddened?" Ryuji let out a sigh as he stared up at the clouds. He wasn't sure if he wanted her to ask or not. "You have strength near you. You just need to stop fooling around and be serious." Hifumi's words resonated within him. What the heck was she talking about? Random strangers wouldn't lead to strength. Of course, before when he arrived in that place he'd always been one with the fox. Only after meeting this group, no specifically those three girls that he came to be as just himself. "Maybe she was right." He sighed as he awaited the questions or answers. He'd have to trust Hifumi's judgement here.

Scarlett O'Hare

Another scummy town with another scummy gang. Scarlett was on edge the moment they arrived and following everyone to the bar made her even more tense. Thankfully Patrick was there. "Master, bar dangerous." She spoke to him as she approached her weapon still firmly within her grasp. She looked over at Sera whom sat down with Jackson. It really did look like they were married. A small flash of two red headed adults sitting at a table holding hands together as she approached them. Two smiling faces shining at her as they picked up Scarlett and nuzzled their faces against hers. A smile crept onto her face as the vision left as quickly as it came. "Mama." She muttered, her eyes still looking towards the table where Jackson and Sera were drinking. Shaking her head furiously, the small girl watched Kore drag Luca away. With nothing else to do she followed them to across the street and watched the pair as Kore threatened Luca within an inch of his life. "Fighting?" She asked looking between the two as if it was no big deal whatsoever.

Morgan Llewellyn

Morgan didn't like the way this chick was talking to Tanya. "You know what tough girl? I think you really should take a fucking chill pill. You asked for information and you were given it FREE OF CHARGE. If anything, you should at least give some damn thanks. Even if the information didn't bear fruit." Morgan looked down at the guy she threw. "Sorry not a clue where the next town is. Your best bet is all these newcomers that just waltzed in like they owned this place and showed no signs of courtesy." Morgan was happy to have Lucas be dragged away by the girl in the hood. All this going on and thankfully a few of these newcomers acted like normal customers. "Tanya, can I just be done for today?"

"Yeah. I think after dealing with so much excitement you need a breather." Tanya laughed as she went about continuing to serve people. Some of whom seemed to just liven up a little bit as the woman walked by. Damn, Tanya really shows how to have feminine charm in this day and age. Morgan sighed as her jealousy took hold. She loved Tanya like a sister, but the fact that she was everything Morgan wasn't left her feeling empty. With a glass of bourbon in hand, Morgan made her way over to the only normal seeming pair that just came in.

"You two seem to be enjoying your nice little date." She teased as she sat down at their table. "Name's Morgan. I'm the bouncer here." She smiled as she leaned into the table. "So, where you freaks come from?" She asked as if the information was no big deal. "Also, does that dark haired chick ALWAYS have that New-Asia sized chip on her shoulder? Or is it that time of the month for her?" Morgan tried her damnedest to keep a straight face. Inside she was screaming at the fact that she just made such a raunchy and uncouth joke. She sighed as she downed some more of her drink, the brown liquid making her feel at ease. Keeping herself from getting too drunk was also part of her job, so she knew stopping soon would be necessary.

Khayn Powers

Khayn Power.jpg

Khayn chuckled as Snow seemed to get flustered by being carried. It wasn't uncommon, though Khayn was still confused as to why. In any of the tattered books involving heroes, the women were often carried like this by the hero. Was it something to truly be embarrassed about? "Snow, what I want you to do is take a deep breath. Okay?" Khayn demonstrated by inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly. "From what I've gathered you need to go to Tanya's because that's where the people you're travelling with, that AREN'T exactly your friends are at. And that you're travelling with them because you too are trying to keep a low profile. Then let's just go together." He left no room for discussion as he began walking. It didn't take long for them to arrive and he set Snow down. "Now for the master disguise." He smirked as he slowly shrunk down getting smaller and furrier until he was only a few inches tall. His cat form was as white as the color of Snow and had a glossy sheen as he moved around, nuzzling against Snow's legs while purring. Damn cat instincts. So infuriating to control.

Nicholas sighs and turns to the girl he bumped into outside the bar, not before looking at the person who launched him. It was hard to tell but for a second he was sure he had been thrown by a male wearing a skirt "thanks for not beating me up I guess..." he runs a hand through his white hair and slowly approaches her. He stops just out of arm's reach of her just in case she decided he looked like a good punching bag. He could feel his nerves kicking up and he could feel the pins and needles in his normal arm "E-Excuse me...I'd like to apologise for before. I've been sleeping rough for days now so I'm a little irritable..." Nicholas extends his normal hand to the girl in a show of good will and keeps his cyborg arm hidden as best as possible, his sleeve failing to cover just a small portion of the wrist.

Warden's projections - Rooftop of the bar.

The only thing heard were shouts and some-other drunk commoner that hoped to sank their awful existence at the bottom of the sea of ale. Yet as inconclusive as life showed up to be, the bar seem a nexus between reality and the depressive shit-hole this town needed.

First observed patiently as the kid was nothing but thrown away, no more "bag with money" on his hands. Either he opened for his own gain and discovered it was nothing but a projection on it's own - or it reached it's destination and now there was nothing but waiting. The Fifth and the Third rested behind him, folding their hands within their robes as they observed further beyond to others rooftop, suggesting that someone, anytime may find them if they stay too long in like physical-matter. Then Fifth so commented, "There must be a voting - should be." the Third would be the only one giving him her full attention, "If - and hear me out - If we find an good moment for encounter, maybe we should seek to give the people a chance for... huh- prove themselves." The Third twisted her head as she dismissed his ideas with her hand - but instead of Third's words coming out, the Second - the one whom observed the priest of the dead - spoke up, "We had become too noticeable -" the man with old deep voice, though soft at certain tones would catch The First's attention, "We can not leave - Nor kill them..." the last address directly to the First which plans involved set the bar ablaze and tear down each and every brick asunder, "The Warden suggest we speak with two or three of these individuals - selected only by his own judgement justified by our observations." the Second directed his attention to both Third and Fifth as the First so spoke, "They will not hear-" "Then Fate has already doom civilization itself. Or have you forgotten, what happens when the flames burn entire cities to the ground?" Second then used the town itself as representation, "We are not monsters - and we won't become one for this city."

The First did not nod in acceptance, nor of any kind - he simply stared him down as he walked away from scene, banishing his own projection into nothing. Second only responded with a sigh and, "I hate it when he does that..."

Second's plan was simple as it was also direct. He planned to go down from the roof, land on the ground and - as calm as it might look by now, enter the bar and begin talking with each character on it's dare time. The Second's objective, however, was not to intervene or to join whatever type of group this was. But to know them, to learn their perspective and their interest. How would they accept to reveal such information? The question is, why would they hide it from an old-man? That is what Second was, a projection of what time left behind, The Warden's vast experience of the world - both before and since the end of life as it was known arrived.

The Projection would open the door, removing the tattered fabric he had as mask - showing an old man's face, a long white beard with a very kind look, gentle. Somehow it might even remind of your old good grandpa if you ever happen to have one. He seem to be the father of all children and the gentle approach of a poor soul. He would even walk forward a little bend over with his dark-blue robes being the only thing that covers him. No weapons to be seen, "Blessings to you, dear." the old man bows his head slightly towards the bouncer as he takes some weak steps inside; looking around to each person briefly as to identified his objectives. His tired green eyes seem to lack of light and it's reflection - they looked more crystal-like as if it was going blind. On his hand he was carrying nothing but an instrument (string) - or at least that is how it looked like. It was, in fact, nothing but a projection of his own entity.

What would be hard to sit down in a table with the right bunch of company as it all seems to be shaking hard - people shouting here and there, others giving the wrong look. But then he would spot the woman the Third has been observing for so long. Among the crowd and near by a companion of some sort - he had a very hard time to determinate whom would that be. But there were also the man speaking to the woman near by, which conversation seem to be focus on switching tables.

"Blessings!" he would bow his head once more towards the two on such a table. Jackson and Sera - though names Second would have not known. He acted as if he knew them from the old times as he tried to grin on his old aspect. Hard to tell behind the beard though, "Would the gentlemen like some music to accompany the drinks? It - if you let me so persuade you, sir; ideal to enter in mood. Some say music allows one to smooth the grimiest of days or to firmly obscure the strongest sunset." all while struggling to stand on his own, breath and vocalize, but it was understandable. He would not stop smiling though. ( Syphe Syphe Clockwork Syringe Clockwork Syringe )

Jackson took the bottle from Sera's hand and then sat down at her table, "I see your point Sera, no matter I've got my flask with me anyway." Jackson tipped some of the bottle into the induction port before closing the port and placing the bottle on the table. "If you must know what I'm doing, I don't want to reveal my face. Too many unknowns in this building." Speaking of Unknowns, the girl who Lucas was chatting with suddenly came over with a bottle of her own and started to chat the two of them up. Specifically, she wanted to talk about Vira of all people, "Freaks? I'm not a freak at all and neither is this woman in front of me. We're just a part of a group thats entered into town." Then another man entered into the fray with a very sing songy voice. "Music is not needed sir, it would draw more attention to this table, something I'd want to avoid."

Patrick paused a moment to watch the hooded girl moved away down the street before moving across the main room of the bar/inn keeping and eye on all of the members of the group he spotted. Sera and Jackson were at a table chatting, loud mouth was, well being herself at the bar, and Lucas had just got dragged out by Kore. That was most of them accounted for, now all they needed was fox boy, the new girl he had with him, and Snow.

He sat the kid and they're packs down next to a table in the corner and was about to call the waitress over when Scarlett took off. Patrick was about to call after her when the waitress came to take they're order, I'm sorry but could you keep an eye on the kid for me, just for a second, gotta chase down the other one, he quietly said to her while jumping up to follow Scarlett out side.

He got to the door just as Kore was coming back in and had to move quickly to the side in order to not run into her. He didn't know what that Lucas kid had done but it had apparently gotten under the tree lady's skin something fierce. With a shake of his head Patrick moved out side to stand looking down at the hunter again.

I don't know what you did to her kid, but take it from someone with a little more world experience, when a woman is that angry the only thing you can do is apologise and hope for the best
, he stated plainly while picking Lucas up and dusting off his shoulders. He stared at the young man for a second longer just to make sure he got his point across, now come on I'll buy you a drink.... Your gonna need for that one I think, he grumbled moving back towards the door motioning for Scarlett to follow.

The old soldier paused just outside the door looking at the little girl, you can't just run off like that without at least telling me where your going anymore ok? Also don't call me master anymore, Patrick paused thinking of some other word she could use, just...just call me Patrick, or sir, with that said he turned and headed back into the bar again thinking the matter solved for now.

He made his way back to the table where , thankfully the waitress had waited for him to come back. He sat himself down in one of the chairs and spoke to the waitress, thank you very much I'd like coffee if you have it if not just water, and anything the kids want, he grumbled indicating everyone at his table.

As the waitress got the others orders Patrick scanned the room again. Jackson and Sera had added a few more people to they're table, but there was still no sign of fox boy or Snow. He'd give them until he found a room for the kids, then with the kids safely behind a locked door he head out to track them down if they still hadn't turned up. He knew fox boy could handle himself but he was worried about Snow. The small womans power could attract a lot of trouble if the wrong person found out about it. He set his eyes on the door, willing the missing members of the party to walk through it.

Lucca Malkovich
Location: Bar

"You flashed me to KEEP EVERYONE SAFE?!?"

"Well, if you're gonna put it that way..."

Lucca had no more excuses as he was helplessly dragged outside and across the street by the tree lady. Harshly, she berated him for his split second decision making and threatened to "cut it off" if she couldn't not for get "it". However, if she hadn't seen it for herself, but rather the trees that had told it to her, would she be effected by his power? Such were Lucca's thoughts, but he wasn't about to voice it out, he's in deep enough trouble already.

By the time she was done, Lucca was glad that he's still alive and that the most she did was drop him on the ground. It was at this moment, Scarlett came and the old timer came to him, apparently concerned for him. How odd, he thought, it was only a day ago that he we their prisoner.

"No, not fighting Scarlett, I just did something to make her mad."

He then took the hand the old timer offered and pulled himself up with help. Once Lucca had thought him to be a scary guy, but now he knows, this person is actually really nice.

"I'll think on it, but I don't think she needs to be reminded about what happened anytime soon. Maybe in a bit latter." he responded so to the old timer's advice, if he talks to her about it again right this instance, she probably beat him up for real this time.

Following the old timer back to the bar, he Lucca sat down with him, glad that he's offering to treat him as Lucca himself is a bit tight on his finance. In fact, wasn't that what got him into this in the first place? The need to get a quick bounty so he could afford to survive to the next week? Well whatever, that was a lifetime ago, thought Lucca as he tossed that memory to the back of his head, too much have happened since, in seeming such little time too.

"Say, Patrick, err, Sir." He had heard the old timer's name, for the first time when entering the bar with him, when he was talking to Scarlett. "Where's the rest of you guys? I see most here, but aren't you missing somebody?" Such as Snow, he was still thinking about her, her and her... blood, the blood song that had sung so sweetly to him... No! Lucca shook those thoughts away. Perhaps it's better if Snow wasn't here right now.

Putting his thoughts behind him for now Lucca discreetly waved the owner over and leaned in close and spoke in a soft voice. "Um, Miss Tanya, I heard mentions of bounties, perhaps you could tell me a bit more about it?" He'll need money if he's going to make it for any longer, that hasn't changed, and this is the only thing he knows, unless the bar's hiring a new waiter of something which he highly doubts. Or perhaps, one could suppose that old habits are simply hard to kill.

(ik ik... this picture kinda goes with the scene but not really... but it's cute... so go with it lol)

Her head nodded quickly as she took in a deep breath and followed his lead as she breathed in and out. She smiled, happy he had understood her rambling and words to piece together her meaning. “Okay, together.” She nodded as he walked off with her, Snow suddenly remembering that she was in fact she was being held. Right when she was about to protest this, he set her down… oh… was he going now? She bit her lip and looked at him gasping as suddenly… he was a kitten.

“Awww! A kitten! Wh...what? H-how? Oh my goodness…” She squealed silently, picking up the purring kitten as he rubbed against her legs. She stared into the big eyes and laughed, suddenly feeling a whole lot calmer being around a tiny cat then the big man. She could hardly picture this kitten at Khayn to be honest… it was so adorable!

She held it close to her and whispered softly, “Okay, I’m taking you inside so maybe you can find a back entrance to leave or something if you want to escape without notice. But also… well maybe if you want to stay a while that would be fine too… I know you’re a person but it’s hard to keep in mind… okay… okay I’m going inside now. Oh wait… I don’t need to narrate to you, you probably understand this huh?”

Snow shook her head and took a deep breath before walking into the bar holding the kitten Khayn. This was where she saw the rest of the group… acting rowdy as usual. She sighed and held the kitten closer to her as a few drunks called out harmlessly towards her. She breathed in and out, calming herself so that her thorns did not come out and well… impale Khayn.

She saw Sera and Jackson and quickly scurried over to them, biting her lip as she made eye contact with the boy introducing himself as the bouncer. Surely he wasn’t meaning to insult Jackson and Sera with the freaks comment… but her ping went off extremely loud… Abnorm. Powerful. Dangerous maybe… She scooted closer, almost hiding behind Sera as she whispered into her and Jackson’s ears, “Powerful abnorm. Is he safe?”

She scratched the kitten’s chin in her lip, petting with him to calm herself down. His soft fur made her smile softly. She glanced softly upwards with nervous eyes and saw thankfully that Patrick was safe with the two kids. It would have been a bold face lie if she had said she was not worried for him and the corpse demon. Sitting beside him was someone… familiar… hmm… Lucas! Snow’s eyes widened as a pang went through her.
How could she forget him? He… he was slipping through her head like sand.

She had just been so distracted, thinking of the screams and her past. Snow knew that if she didn’t actively think about Lucas he would vanish from her memories… but he didn’t like her right now. He probably hated her… Maybe he would want her to forget.

She squeezed Khayn kitty a little more, not roughly of course, and held him to her as she breathed in shakily to calm herself, petting him for comfort.

With the bottle gone, Sera gave herself a mental smack. 'Ah! I could've used that as makeshift disinfectant...' What's done is done. With it gone, so will the temptation to indulge be gone. "Hiding your face? What, got something stuck on your face?" Sera did a quick momentary scan at the patrons. "Just like you did at the first bar, huh? I'm definitely not as cautious as you are it seems. Maybe I should look for some sort of mask too?"

Not too long after, the bouncer came up out of the blue and sat at the table with Sera and Jackson, casually remarking about the "date" they are apparently on, while proceeding to call them freaks and badmouthing the badmouth. First hearing the comment on the date, Sera rested her face on her fingers, sighing; letting Jackson do the talking, though she noticed how he didn't deny the dating comment. As he finished speaking, Sera opened her mouth to say something, when another jolly stranger approached the table, announcing blessings to them. 'Ok, seriously, where are all these people coming from? First the dating comment, now the thing about blessings! I saw little Scarlett giving both me and Jackson a funny look too. Even she thought we were a couple! Me, and this masked fellow whom I met just yesterday, in a relationship! Ugh... how would that even play out?' Sera lingered on the thought for just a few moments when Jackson refused the bards services. Sera actually wanted to hear some genuine music from a string instrument from a real life person, so she opened her mouth again to speak when out of nowhere, Snow ran up to her, with the most adorable cat she has ever seen (clean too!) in her arms. Immediately forgetting about the bard, Sera was about to stroke the cat when Snow quickly hid behind her, saying that the bouncer was an abnorm. Which made sense.

"Oh him, the guy in a pretty skirt. Yes, he's friendly. He's the bouncer, makes sure no bad guys make a mess out of this place so don't worry." Sera wrapped an arm around Snow to comfort her, while stroking the cat, feeling its soft fur. It was something Sera rarely saw, especially one as healthy as this one.

"Who's this? Where did you find it?"

((TRIGGER WARNING, very voilent and touchey subjects in this post. sorry))

Einua watched as everyone seemed to fade into the city, his fingers had loosened against sera's palm, her presence drifting forward. He faded backward's, letting them forget his presence, his eyes drifting over everyone of them as they proceeded on their way, splitting up and mingling about the town. He gawked as they all went about as if nothing had happened, as if they tried to forget what had happened. His eyes peeled from the town, looking back towards the forest where the one with the odd ass name, and zombie like features, still lay. The sound of heavy breathing could be heard, and he soon realized it was him who had been breathing so heavily. His fingers drifting up to graze against the small of his breast, the pulse of his heart beat thrumming against his fingertips. the flush of his blood through his veins, the sound. His focus drifted from the others, his mind closing in as the world once again became an increasingly small place. Where every nerve reacted to every action he took, every movement, every gesture. his eyes focused on the dirt that soiled his clothes, that found its way in between his shoe-less feet. that seemed to taint every inch of his body, soiled his skin and made his gentle appearance look rough and ragged. Running his fingers along his forearms, he wiped at the dry crusted dirt that lay along his skin. Revealing slightly less soiled skin, this caused him great relief. The thought of being stuck this way had caused his heart to hammer in anxious abandon. Which was silly to think about now, since it was such a small problem. They...he had much greater things to worry about. Grasping at his shirt and shaking it gingerly, he let it flit against his skin as the dried up dirt flung off loosely. His clothes were still stained, but most of the top layer of dirt was gone now. He still needed to shower, or bathe in general. Showers were a luxury now, and he hadn't really come to terms with that yet. With this thought, Einua scrambled and grasped at his back...He had lost his backpack, it was most likely all the way back at that tree he had awoken underneath. He cursed softly under his breathe, his luck was at it's worst it seemed. He clenched his fist and sighed heavily, his clenching fingers loosening as he looked up. He had lost the picture of his mother.

Steadying himself, he headed inwards. Towards the bar, funny that it seemed as if every ones life here still moved in some regular fashion. As soon as he drew close to the bar, he noticed some movement in the back of the building. His curiosity peaked and got the best of him, his feet moving before he couldn't even stop himself, or think about the situation. The patting of his shoe-less feet against the hard of the ground was silent. But as he rounded the corner, he realized it didn't matter if he had been silent or not. They had been waiting for him, their forms were tall and burly. The smell that wafted off them was the pungent aroma of beer and whiskey. They breathed heavily and their presence was intimidating, and before he could react, back pedal even. Thick fingers swung forth and around his petite neck, the weight against his throat caused him to cough and squeak out in fear. The chance to scream was lost, The man on the right; who had grasped his throat, had done it so that he couldn't speak. The only sound that came out was a whistling whisp of air that came from him breathing. "OH!! what a pretty little thing. Look at what we found oscar!! look look, a delicate little flower. Should we keep here? Have her over f..for dinner*hiccups* oh oh, she could spend the night right oscar??" The large one holding him looked over to the one talking, squinting heavily as if he hadnt heard everything he had said. "Gail I think we shouldn't even wait to get home, let us enjoy ourselves here. dont you think? And yes A very delicate flower, one that came with those abnorms. Your no abnormal are you? We kill abnorms. filthy shitwads they are. making a ruckus always and causing us headaches" They both swayed with a drunkin stupor to them, their accents heavy and thick. they sounded like they had come from the south. hillbilly's, but with muscle behind them. Gail's grasp against Einua's throat tightened, and the changing of position let einua scream out "A...HE-" But it was instantly cut off again by gail, whose grip tightened so much that einua began to see dots across his vision, and the ends of his fingers felt tingly.

He reached out for the power deep within, grasped for it. As if clawing through mud, straining for the strength to fight back. The light glowed only for an instance, barely noticeable. And then fizzled out, his will broken and his mind running with ill and frightened thoughts.
" Look at that, she's crying for help. why oscar? were only having fun? ARENT WE? arent you having fun little flower" Gail looked at einua, as if actually asking him the question. With regret, Einua nodded no. And within a second pain blistered against his cheek and jaw, the pain spiking into his head and down his spine. And he could taste blood as it spilled from his nose and his lip, He croaked out silently the pain stifling any thought he had in his mind at that moment. Fear took him, wrapped around his heart and gripped tight...he was going to die. Oscar stepped close, his rough fingers running along Einua's thigh, upwards and under einua's shirt. It caused einua to squirm and wretch, the feeling of being touched by such people. The things that they were planning. It made his skin crawl, his entire being protested. Tears welled up along his eyes, spilling over cheeks as he let out horrific whines and failed scream's. His hands pushed and pulled at gail's arm, legs kicking out and hitting gail's center. This was only met with him being liften up into the air and slammed against the side of the bar wall, it shook the entire building and he was sure anyone that was inside could have heard it and felt it. This strength was not normal, it far surpassed normal humans. But he doubted gail was an abnorm, although this thought fled his mind almost instantly as rugged lips, drenched in the taste of alcohol pressed against his cheek, slowly moving to his lips. The tears were fluid now, dripping heavily along his cheek and dripping audibly against the ground underneath him. "Oh look, she likes it. AHA, look at that Gail tears of utter joy. she loves us, doesn't she. We should treat her." Oscars hands gripped toughly against Einua's hips, and the sensations that ran through einua made him feel as if he were going mad. His body felt sullied, sick and battered, and within seconds gails lips were back against his own. His screams and whimpers drowned out once again, Oscars hands drifting down dangerously. That was when Einua vommited, the taste of bile and the smell of it filling the air as the contents of his stomach spilled out onto oscar's face. " OH WHAT THE FUCK, thats god damn disgusting. You fucking whore!!" Pain once again flourished, this time it spread out warmly against his chest. Looking down he realized that Oscars fist had slammed into the small of his breast. Then a barrage of strikes, slamming against his chest over and over. as well as strikes landing against his head and jaw. Something didn't quite feel right, his vision fading slightly as he slipped and fell to the ground with a loud thump, gail's grasp around his neck was now gone. But their hands traveled all over his form, against his thighs and hips. Their lips against his neck.

Einua lay there, blood dripping from his face. He had what looked like a black eye, which didn't mix well with his highly feminine face. He was pretty sure he had a couple broken ribs and maybe a fracture collar bone, but even with all of this, and the pain that riddled his body. He needed to stand, to get help. But his body quaked with pain, he wanted to lay there and never move. But alas, he shakily pushed his arms underneath him, his skin blackened and bruised in multiple spots all over his body. A cracked lip leaking blood, and a cut ear swelling noticeably.
" h...help. help m..me!!" Einua tried to cry out, but was shut up with a sharp pain to his side "SHUT UP PIG"

Fifth and Third -

As the two monstrosities human-like creatures began to have their most forbidden desires fulfill upon a defenseless creature; something else happened alongside the time it took for them to prepare, and so they did.

An arrow, as quick as the wind, rushed through the man's throat and stopped him on it's entirely, though it was not enough to kill him instantly - ( Don't read if you do not enjoy detailed gore ) the blood from the throat would so fall back to the lunges, filling them as the man attempts to regain his breath in vane. His hands would try to either pull the arrow or wipe away the blood - useless as it might so sound but it was, indeed, his only intuitive reaction. ( Done ) the sentenced to death reached the floor and tainted the ground at Eiuna's side.

A second arrow would reach the other man's knee as he grasp his strength to recover, stand and run. The Fifth would drop from the rooftop, his bow already loaded as he fired upon the man's shoulder - forcing him to kneel once more and denying him the use of his right arm. The Third would arrive soon enough behind the knelt aggressor as she takes a dagger next to his throat and whispers into her ear, "If you though you could ran away and do this again - and you are not afraid.-" her grip on his throat was tighter now as her dagger began to cut the skin underneath, though only slightly, "Then you understand nothing at all... So-" she had the man's face looking at the atrocity he has done and now, back to her, upwards so he could see the masked woman, "For your own sake, understand this." The Fifth made sure to help Eiuna on his feet as he gave him something to drink - and Third began to force terror on people, "I am the Warden and I will find you and you will find *this* is very small world when *I* am angered with you - So don't assumptions of how *Far* I will go... because I will never *ever* stop." once that was over she would throw the man away from the alley, taking her dagger back to the belt. The man would so try to limp away, since his leg may not be useful at all.

She would then, rest her hands on the pommel of her sword. Turning around on the spot as she looked back to the victim, "What is your name?" she asked quickly and sharp.

Second -

The Second would bow his head slightly as he bids his farewells and begins his walk towards his main objective, Kore. Regardless of whatever he has heard outside the bar, knowing the struggle was over - focusing on his task only as he made his aimlessly walk with a grin on his old face, "Blessings!" the man would greet as he shows his instrument, "May I suggest a song to be played by, if you so let me the honor, your most delighted servant?" his eyes trying not to focus a lot on Kore as he expected she would so figure it out, soon enough he was a projection of light - but he was rather worried if anyone would so came with the assumption of what the man was truly aiming for.

Vira

Tib199u.png

Forced to step back, the darkhaired chick looked slightly down, observing Sera enter the bar right in front of her. She felt a rebuke tingle on her tongue, but she bit it back. Nope, she had to say something, so she went with, "Watch your step.." It came out gruffer than she had meant, on account that she was trying to hold back from being too mean. Her eyes caught the fool who was playing with fire, that masked loon was going to get himself killed, and possibly others.

Oh look, someone else had beef with Vira apparently, although she had seemed reasonable in her own eyes. Stepping back away from the boy-girl-person shouting at her, Vira frowned. "Woah, who even the hell are you kid?" She scoffed, "Give thanks to someone who was utterly, completely useless? What is that nonsense? She literally did nothing for me. Did my words hurt you that bad? Are you a damn child?" Well... sorta clearly, right? Welp, after that unpleasant exchange, the kid seemed content. He-she moved off to go sit with Sera and co., after apparently getting the rest of the day off from the barkeep Tanya.

"Yo, Hunterboy wait," Vira said to the Hunter while he was moving back in, hand extended out in front of him before he could pass by. Placing her rustic gaze on Lucas, she solemnly cooed, "I heard what that old fart said. Forget that nonsense. Just don't be a frickin' little bitch. Stand up for yourself. Assert! Kore walks all over you because you let her." That was enough with holding back, with being nice. Vira's tone got more aggressive, "She's no one special, don't pretend she has any authority over you! Fuck you pissed on a tree? Well fuck it! Who cares? It's a fucking tree! And fuck Kore, too!" With that, Vira glanced back over at the old man, glaring intensely at him. He had some terrible advice. Kore was a nobody. This stupid idiot Hunter-that-was-an-Abnorm could stick up for himself, and handle himself. So why didn't he?

Suddenly, Snow came bursting in, with a little kitten in her hands. -Aw cute.

'Gr..'
Vira hissed inwardly, watching her move off to the others that Vira was more familiar with than she wanted to be.

At this point, Vira had now realized standing beside the exit/entrance to the bar was stupid as fuck. People came and went with no consideration for the woman standing there, contemplating what she wanted to do. Just because it was a damn tavern, didn't mean people had to be damn rude. Well, she had been rude right? Well, since they had been, she had been also! Made sense to her!

Enough was enough. Vira growled, stepping towards the exit. Suddenly, she heard a thump, and her danger radar went off bad, spiking like it had been hit with lightning. "Zzz-ah!" she winced, not prepared for such an explosive ping of danger.

Rushing out towards the commotion, where she heard hard cracks from hits, Vira had her sharpened blade out and at the ready. Danger radar wasn't as bad as it had pinged, barely fizzling, but the scene she rounded on was one she was quite familiar with. As well as one that was probably very familiar to the folks around this place. Though she was ready to attack and defend, someone else had clearly beaten her here. Vira glanced at the weird person there in a mask. -Why did everyone wear masks? The person said she(?) was 'The Warden'. Whatever that meant.. A warden usually was someone who was the leader of a prison, but what did that have to do with this scene? Maybe she was just.. punishing the villains there or something? Another 'hero'? Her words were meant to be frightening, but Vira found herself groaning inwardly at the melodrama she was trying to stir up. Anyway, the injured person... That was that girl from the forest before.

Vira stepped over, sheathing her blade with a soft 'sshink'. Kneeling down at the girl, Vira reached out, then just as she was about to touch the beat up girl, she stopped. Then she stood back upright, looking over at the other person. "There's a nurse chick in there," Vira pointed at the bar they were near. "She should be able to help. Maybe the barkeep, too. Here..." She reached in, felt the coinpurse given to her, then paused.

Shaking her head, she grabbed her own purse, that had a little bit of coin in it. She reached over, and handed that to the lady. "Use this as payment. Just in case the uptight barkeeper's annoying brat bouncer tries to intervene with some sort of self-righteous bullshit. Pay for any food, drink, medicine, lodging necessary with that."

Good. That was done. She hadn't managed to actually save the girl, but she could at least pay for what was needed. Not that she believed the meager coin she provided would pay for all the stuff necessary, but... she couldn't really do much about that. 'I need more money,' she mumbled inside her mind.

'Yes, then?...'

Vira sighed inwardly, and she felt a sense of contemplation from Ellie within her. Turning to go, she paused, now speaking to the lady once more, "Oh, and thank you. You know, for saving the girl." With a final nod, Vira turned and walked away. She passed by alleys, with various shadows clouding over her while she passed building after building. Gang members were all around. Rustic eyes took in the surroundings. More people were being accosted. Some goons claiming 'taxes'. Some just demanding stuff. Some punching people, that Vira wanted to intervene with, but ultimately didn't. This place was a mess. Like, it was a real bad big mess. Maybe the worst she had ever seen. This place had it so bad. That's when she noticed she was at the exit of the town on the other end. Looking up, she spotted the town's sign. It read Svitch.

"Boy, Svitch, you suck, honestly." Vira quipped. 'Okay, fine,' she relented. Nothing needed to be said, all that was, was the swelling of pride within, coming from Ellie.

Kore examined the old man that had approached her, she didn't like this one bit. "No thank you. I'd imagine you'll have more luck elsewhere.", her eyes narrowed slightly as she spoke calmly, softly. He had missed out some tables - and alarm bells were going off in her head.
He has only gone to people in our group... Hmmm...
She addressed him again, still using her calm and soft voice, but looking him dead in the eyes. "I think there is more to you than meets the eye - that you aren't as you aren't what you appear to be. What is it you actually want?", she wasn't sure whether she was just accusing a nice old man, or what. But, Kore had never really met a nice old man before, so her paranoid suspicions took over. Better to be safe than sorry.
She also tried to ignore Vira's attempts to jab at her. If Lucas tried anything, she was of a mind to teach him a proper lesson. Of course, Vira was right, Kore was no one special. But that didn't mean she wasn't to be respected.
Annoyed by Vira's attempt to stir up trouble, Kore kept her face neutral, keeping her emotions hidden. She had bigger problems, anyway. The old man in front of her being one of them.
She also kept an eye on those coming and going, and she noted that Snow seemed alive and well. Which was nice. Although still no Ryuji... So Kore presumed he had decided to scarper off with his new lady friend. That woman did have pretty hair, after all, even if it did label her as an abnorm. At least Kore's own white-grey hair wasn't so obvious, even if it was unnatural. Her bright eyes were also a sign, the mixture of vibrant greens in those orbs wasn't exactly natural either.

Nissa
1000812.jpg

The pink haired girl walked through the streets with a blank stare as she chewed on the rarest commodity... a lollipop. Goons saw her and sighed, rolling their eyes as she calmly walked.

"What's up with Nissa?"

"Yea where is she going?"

The two cringed as she walked right into a wall. Nissa paused, looking at it and then turned around slightly to keep walking. The goons sighed at the girl who they knew was off somehow and went away. Why did they go away? Because the local idiot hero Khayn had told them too the last time he had saved the slightly blank space girl. It honestly wasn't worth the effort. She was... well she just never reacted.

Nissa continued her walk as she stared blankly ahead, bending now and then to turn over rocks. When nothing was under them she would stand back up again and continue onward. The blank girl was obviously looking for something... but what?

This is about the time when she came to a strange rust eyed woman. Nissa stared blankly at her while eating her lollipop, but she did stare intensely. Nissa had never seen a stranger before... they were rarer in this town then her lollipop.

Nissa was dressed in a black shirt and black pants. Her hair in two pigtails that matched her eyes.

The Second - Within the bar -

The old man's smile did not fade before the incoming subject as he tested the instrument on his hands, adjusting it. His voice did not show any kind of harm neither he does attempted before to hurt her. However - as much as one can tell, one that hides behind mask are not to be trusted. What was more interesting, beside the gravity of how ones does present before the unknown, was the way Second did so introduce his own perspective on the matter.

"A cunning conclusion." he responded with the same tone, rather humorist as he darted away her dead stare, not afraid of whatever she could do to him. He reached for a chair near by as he explained, "True is, there is nothing that the eyes can not observe but we often neglect these physical patterns." once he gathered a place to sit down, and rest the instrument on his waist. He would then wet his lips with his tongue as if they went dry; continuing his acting of an old man - his sight seemed still lost though his returned back at her with a different kind of intensity; "For example yourself, milady. You sound so calm and soft that anyone here had mistaken you by fragile flower. A both delicate and smooth woman - The appeal is everything after all, if we so seek to become accepted into society." then he would make a pause as to let himself twist his head, tilting it to a side as to add some emphasis, "Yet behind your serenity there is your terror. A fear *we* had the pleasure to encounter back in the forest." another pause, this one just to observe her reaction - she might as well try as hard as she would so to pretended she is not, in any way, surprised or worried; but the Second had more to say, "But it is not alike anything than *I* am seeing now, is it? Back there, you seem rather in control - in full awareness of each every aspect that surrounded you. You weren't calm nor afraid - you were preparing yourself. Now-" he half-closed his eyes as if he tried to focus, "You seem as if you expected something else entirely. Which, gives me a new question. What was different back then? - A very relevant question if neither of us were as observant as we claim to be... Your eyes, odd but also green eyes, do give it away." Second acted as if he knew - as if he knew Kore is an Abnorm; even more as if he knew the power she could harness or at least what it needed.

"But you are not interested in what you already know about yourself -" his hands clasped the instrument and it banished, the object itself disrupted before Kore's eyes until it became nothing but a single particle, "So - allow me the pleasantry to explain to you. I am The Warden and I have been traveling all this time just to know you." his grin continued there, though the words were tough to hear, he did not seem interested in threats, "I wanted to know - a question that could had been differently introduced; but alike yourself, I do not intend to pretend being someone I am not."

Patrick looked Lucas right in the eye, sir... Your gonna call me sir, he said seriously no hint of threat in his voice, just a commanding tone. The old man opened his mouth to answer the hunters question when the door opened and Snow stepped through.

Well speak of the devil, he said as he watched the young woman move to Sera and Jackson's table. That was one down, now where were fox boy and his girl? Patrick blinked, why should he worry about them? Yeah they were kids compared to him, but Ryuji could handle himself, Patrick knew the answer. His computer could fix just about anything that happened to his body or mind given the time, but it'd been thirty years and it still couldn't fix his bleeding fucking heart! While he was pondering ways to solve that particularly large problem, Lucas called the waitress over.

Before the woman could make it to the table Patrick sug into his pack and pulled out a bulging bag of coins, Keiji your in charge, get yourself and Scarlett a room and you might as well get him a room to...a separate one, he told his young ward while standing and stretching his back. I'm going to see if we'll have more guests with us tomorrow, he grumbled and took half a step before looking down at the young ex-hunter, look Lucas I can tell your not a bad person just ignorant of what's really happening in the world, you can come with us in the morning, or not it's your choice, he patted the young man on the shoulder and moved off towards Sera's table. He needed to know if they were going to continue to travel together or not.

As he passed the table where Kore and the injured boy from the forest were sitting he heard a familiar voice that made him stop in his tracks. Oh no, no no no no no, he thought as he turned to look at the apparently old man sitting talking to Kore. He'd recognize that voice anywhere.

Excuse me sir I have a request, he grumbled a little to loudly as he came up behind the old man and pulled him out of the chair and a little bit away from the table. Ok Second what the hell are you doing here, how many of you are here, and please tell me you didn't bring First, Patrick asked the projection of The Warden in a whispered but still very angry voice.

Kore Dair
Kore listened to him, a mildly annoyed expression clouding her calm face as he spoke. How rude, for him to approach me, and decide to judge what I am and am not. At least the old fart had blown his cover.
"So. You are with the group following us, I was right.", as per usual, her tone gave nothing away, it's soft, calm indifference - the same emotion that was on her face, and in her eyes.
"You gravely misjudge me, old man-", she stopped once Patrick approached and grabbed the old guy who suddenly decided he knew everything about her.
She spoke louder, to address him, "Patrick, this man and his group have been following us since we left camp. And were watching us for a time before that.", she said casually, before turning her attention back to her table. It seemed he knew the old guy and his group, which at least gave a hint as to why they were following them, Kore presumed it was for Patrick. Then... Why would they decide to give her special attention? Both the woman and this old man had shown an interest in her, something she was not happy about.
Heh, pretend to be someone I'm not? Seems a little hypocritical for someone using a facade to gain information to say...
Sure, Kore was not surrounded by her sisters and elders - but was this table not made of wood? Although it had taken her a great deal of energy, Kore had managed to manipulate dead wood once before, not in any way one would expect, but... It was possible. Her knowledge of this last resort was perhaps the only reason she wasn't immediately leaving this place behind to return to her family.

He found himself waking in the town. Or at least as close to waking as one would call wandering aimlessly after having fallen behind from the group he was with originally. As he looked around though he noticed a few telltale signs that this town was among the many towns which had fallen to gangs instead of an organized protection. 'Good for me' he chuckled to himself. As he continued walking, letting out a slight growl as he hears the screams in the distance, knowing how little he could do without exposing himself. Though eventually his eyes landed on a bar. Which he started to approach. As he entered though many tell tale signs of wandering where on his body. As he smelled of the life which he encountered and dirt clung onto his shoes along with the ends of his jeans.

Second -

The old man stand up in a slow pace as he face Patrick, he would smile as the man sees his face for the first time - or at least the face he has selected for himself. He would nod slightly, "Mr O, I believe we were clear the last time our path crossed that First choose whether or not to arrive with us." then he would fold his hands behind him as he asked him, "Fifth and Third are taking care of an encounter - She has missed your smile." a hint of a joke, if nothing else, since Second knew he never smiled - "You may had imagined how - delighted we were to know of your arrival. Though - your choice of companions worries me. " he then began to wet his lips again like an old-man, Kore - the woman seem ready to speak up and the Second did only shrugged the statement off as he directed his words to Patrick, "You do remember our protocol to detect potential threats, Mr O. Maybe a more private environment would be suggested for our 'chattery' to continue."
