The kingdom was made by Comondore black, and he gave it to his youngest son, Pitch Black. But, Pitch's brother, Sombra wasn't happy...
In a complete uproar, he took over the city, rampaging and starting a big riot! Pitch had to banish him to the north.

And that was all 1000 years ago

Umbras past

Umbras were the people who live in the kingdom, peacefully, until Sombra started an uproar. They started to scare people out of their minds, giving them awful nightmares, and trapping people inside them...

The present

Now with Sombra banned, Pitch on the throne, and Comondore helping his son, all the umbras are at peace, though there are some who are still in sombras grasp, still scaring people and giving them nightmares.

More about the kingdoms...

The kingdom is set in a dimension where magic, dark magic, is vital. It's set in a world where all the kingdoms are divided into other divisions called fouils. Each fouil is classified from richest to poorest wizards, sorcerers, mages, umbras, and nils.and divided even further into magic types.

Oz is the kingdom that's farthest west from the dark kingdom


It has magic that is crystal based. You take a crystal, any crystal, and use it with your magic depended on where it is on the periodic table of magic.

It's ruler is Glinda the Good, Pitches sister.

Her evil cousin, and pitches evil cousin is langwadere, and she's banished in a painting in the school, don't touch the painting or she will get out and wreak havoc

The inhabitants are wizards, sorcerers, mages, people who were born with magic

The nil's kingdom is set in the farthest east of the kingdom, it's magic is animal and plant based.

Its ruler is nil the great, Commondores brother, Pitches and Glinda's uncle.

Its inhabitants are magical creatures, fairies, elves, nils (more on them later), and dragons.


The mermaid kingdom is located in the sea of guligy, translated from the dark language it means sea of mermaids, or sea of monsters


It's ruler is prince agraith, his father has been captured by Sombra and kept captive with him. Where Sombra put him is unknown

Its inhabitants are mermaids, and sirens.

The kingdom of euphoria is located up in the sky of clouds dale (not referring to clouds dale from mlp, this is completely different
)

It's magic is air/wind/weather based, they can control the weather at anytime in any moment

It's ruler is queen Julha, related to pitch by blood siblings.

Its inhabitants are wakers, angel like magic humans who have angel like wings

Finally, we reach the dark kingdom, located in the middle of the magical world.


It's ruler is Pitch Black, his father Comondore is the longest living King (or was...) before Pitch inherited the throne.

It's magic is dark magic, the freaky nightmare fuel as some people call it

Its inhabitants are umbras, shadows, shades, and dark wizards and mages.

Human world

Average as it seems, the human world doesn't have magic nor does many know about it.

It has several rulers, including presidents, queens, and kings; non magical of course

Its inhabitants are normal humans.

All of this is my world building experience, it's a bit.. Crappy, but, it helps set the stage for the RP.

How did sombra become a tyrant in the magical world?

Backstory: Back when pitch inherited the throne, sombra was using his powers for more evil stuff, like nightmares, death, and darkness; that's what his personality is. But, he rues the day that his father, commondore, gave his brother the throne. He wanted it for himself, and it wouldn't even happen, for if he had the throne, the whole kingdom plummets into darkness. A magical war was fought, bringing all the kingdoms together to fight, but after that, all of the kingdoms divided; the war brought a lot of bloodshed and such. Pitch hated to see all of them so far away, but he had to let them move on their own.

Sombra had been in the dungeons of tampri, a dark, disgusting place for the villains of the kingdoms; it was located underground, but it is heavily guarded and the gates are pure lead, which burns if a captured one were to touch it. Everyone was safe from his grasp, unless he broke out
