Realistic or Modern The Come Out Club (LGBTQ High School RP)

wonderboy1234

The New Boy Wonder
At Jackson High School, a group of students of varying sexual orientations form an after-school club as a discreet way to share their feelings and experiences. The only place the club is advertised is on LGBTQ meet up/sociable media forums and apps.

The roleplay will start on the first day of school and somehow word will get around to the other characters through the social media sites, apps, forums, etc.

Daniel woke up to the sound of the morning alarm he had set on his phone. Beep! Beep! Beep! He rolled over and went to grab it off his nightstand. He felt around and couldn't find it, crap. Beep! Beep! Beep! Daniel scrambled to find it. His body was mostly hanging off the bed his ass sticking straight in the air when he finally found it. He tapped the red button on the screen turning off the alarm. No more loud beeping, thank God. Daniel climbed out of bed groggily and grabbed the clothes he'd set aside the night before. It was the first day of school, fun. He'd put anonymous advertisement for the club up on every social media website and app he could think of. He hoped people would actually show up for the meeting after school. He sniffed his pits and was repulsed by the smell. "How do I smell that gross?" Daniel thought to himself. She shook his head and headed into the bathroom to shower and get ready.

Troy had awoken at about 6am, though he didn't need to. He slipped on dark clothing that would help him just kind of fade out from everyone else in school today. The dark clothes didn't exactly match up to his light face, but all outsiders tend to wear dark...it's just a thing. He read out of The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. He'd seen the movie, but never read the book, so far it interested him. The characters were different from normal stories he'd read, these being nothing of the fantasy or 'weird' genre. Troy close the book and set it on his desk and walked down to the kitchen at about 6:30. He made himself a simple breakfast and scrolled through his phone as he ate. He saw the ad for the Coming Out Club (if it's called that in the RP) and read it. He questioned it...Should I? I'm not a club person...but...I did say things would change this year...I don't know. Troy thought. He shrugged to himself and finished his breakfast. He contemplated the meeting for the club, wondering if he should go. Nobody knew his sexuality...was he ready to make himself out to a group of people he didn't know? All of this was going through his head as he walked to the bus stop.

Drew woke up to his alarm, the sound wasn't that of an annoying beep, but it was that of the chorus from 'Radioactive' by Imagine Dragons. It blasted in his ear, waking him up in a pleasant way. He turned off the alarm and sprang up from his bed. His first day of senior year, and he was excited for it. His athletic body was revealed as he slept in his boxers. He didn't shower since he did last night, and he slipped on a "preppy" outfit that looked good on him. He finished getting ready and walked out to his fancy red sports car. Being rich, in a sense, had its benefits. Before starting it, he honked the horn twice for his little sister, Nicole, to come out to the car so he could take her to school. It was her first day of 8th grade today. Yikes! Middle school is hell...Drew assured her of that, but at least it's her last year. He scrolled through his phone as he waited patiently, finding the ad for the club. He raised a brow to it. "Hmm" he said to himself. Nicole soon came out and hopped in the passenger seat. He showed the ad to her, she of course said "You should do it..people in school love you, this'd be good for you." She suggested, making him smile. He nodded and pulled out, taking her to school first.

This was not happening, two hours into the morning of his first day as senior; it defiantly was not happening.

It started off as any other morning, he'd wake up early, take a shower, eat a bowl of honey dip cheerios with almond milk -his favourite. Then he threw his bag over his shoulder, camera strapped around his neck as he went out to his 74 orange camaro. Probably the only real relationship he'll ever have is the one with his car. Adam normally got to school early, just to avoid traffic in the halls and any watchful eyes seeing as he was the 'suicide kid' around the school. He needed to make a change this year, he knew he did. That's why when he saw the club advertised on Facebook he figured why not right -just a little peek nothing else, then maybe slowly make his way into the club.

He was sitting in the library waiting for school to actually start, his nose stuck into the editing software on his mac book when he got the text. Jesus no. Please no. Bradley James. Of course. The one person from his old school that beat the shit out of him everyday, called him names, made fun of him, tripped him in the halls and essentially made him want to die. Hey buddy, I heard this is your neck of the woods. Well guess who's coming to join his old pal! BJ (I swear, I did not purposely make his initials BJ, it just happened! xD ) Adam groaned and let his head hit his keyboard, slamming the laptop shut out of frustration. Things were suppose to change not get five times worse! Senior year was suppose to be fun! Not a living hell.

Daniel closed the bathroom door and turned on the shower and got inside. He was relived and let the warm water engulf his skinny swim team body. He took his body wash and started to wash his body. He took the shaving cream off the shelf and shaved his legs, pits, and neither regions (he found body hair disgusting and it was better to remove it for drag anyways). He stepped out of the shower and dried himself with his towel. He applied lotion to his freshly shaved body before grabbing his toothbrush and cleaning his teeth. He quickly got dressed in a pair of blue skinny jeans, a black V-neck T-shirt, and his black combat boots. He smiled at himself in the mirror.

"Go get'em tiger," he said to himself. He grabbed his backpack and his dufflebag (it held all of his swim team stuff) and headed out the door. His beat up old baby blue Chevy Pickup Truck in the driveway. He got inside started the engine and headed to school.

Nick heard his phone go off, he turned over and tapped his phone as he turned off his alarm. He grabbed his phone and started going through twitter and looking through everyone's tweets. Finally one caught his eye and nick stopped and stared at it. It was a tweet about a group of kids who you could come out of the closet too. Nick sighed as he read it and thought about going. Nick looked out his window and it was raining so they wouldn't have practice today. Nick got out of bed and hopped in the shower. He got out and dried off as he put on some new clothes he bought for school and he looked really good in them. Nick got on the bus and went to school.

Troy's bus came to his stop after picking Nick up. Troy got up and walked on the bus, taking the back seat, passing Nick on his way to it. Troy kept his head down as a few kids commented on him and referred to him as "that loner...the weird adopted kid." Troy blocked everyone out and popped in his earbuds, listening to music on way to school.

Drew dropped Nicole off at her school, giving her a quick hug before she left the car to go in the building. He then proceeded to his own school about 10 minutes away by car. He pulled into the parking lot, his cherry red sports car was quickly placed in the parking spot he reserved with a parking pass. He got out and took a deep breath, his confident smile making girls shine as he walked by them on his way into the building.

Nick watched as troy got on the bus. Nick smiled at him. "Hey" nick didn't talk to troy much but when he did he was always nice to him. That's why nick was a popular kid because he was nice to everyone no matter who they were.

Adam held his laptop under his arms as he started to hear the flow of students outdoors, slinging his backpack over his shoulder. He really wanted to just duck away and hide deeper into the halls before he was actually recognized by someone that he knew or knew him. Luck was of course not on his side, and so as he proceeded to go to his advisory class. Bradley had managed to sneak up on him, with a heavy arm around his shoulder and rather forcefully pushing him into the lockers. "Hey, buddie," his voice was practically taunting. Adams eyes were pleading for help, however no one seemed to notice nor care. "This is so exciting, senior year together, it's like middle school all over again. And yes -life will be hell," his voice was like poison to his ears and Adam couldn't help but cower away from his arm still tightly gripped around his shoulder. Bradley leaned down close and whispered; "I think that beating up a little suicidal fa**ot is on my to do list today," into Adam's ear, with a small snicker.

Troy didn't hear Nick on the bus, his music in his earbuds was too loud. Once the bus arrive at the school, Troy got off after everyone else and kept his head down, nobody seemed to really pay attention to the outcast as he walked through the halls. He snuck his way into his first period, an all-grade level class (I think it'd be cool if we all had 1st together, just saying xD ) that he didn't expect to get in. His teacher was the only one in there so she greeted him with a warm smile and a polite "Hello." He smiled and said "Hello" back, as he was more comfortable with teachers than students. His teachers always liked him, and he liked them back. He picked a seat in the back of the room, hoping to be alone once others crowded in.

Drew walked through the front door, passing his fellow baseball players and friends, slapping their hands with high-fives. His smile lit up the halls, his confidence rising. As he walked, he noticed Bradley making Adam rather uncomfortable. Drew hated bullies. He himself was a nice guy, everyone who knew him knew he was a total saint. He'd never hurt a fly, and he hated that some people could hurt a fly and kill it and stomp on the remains. Drew walked over and tapped on Bradley's shoulder. As Bradley turned, he socked him right in the face, making Bradley fall over unconscious. "I hate bullies...jerk," he said, turning to Adam and smiling again. Drew's never hit anyone...it was...weird seeing him do that. Drew then pat Adam on the shoulder kindly and said "He bothers you, let me know." He said, offering further help to the kid he'd only seen in the halls. This was in his nature, helping people. He walked off to his class.

Olive had gotten late onto the bus but still managed to get to school on time. He'd been too engrossed in his phone and Twitter along with all the lgbt forums advertising a new club in school. As much as it anticipated him to get to school faster he still took his time to get ready and dress up nicely. There's no point in wanting something if when you want it you don't look fit to play the part. A short and frilled summer dress was the main fix of the outfit he had on, yellow wedges with a woven pattern on the heel, a pair of dark sunglasses that had a diamond outline to go with his diamond earrings and diamonte ring. The necklace was an old, tattered thing that was constantly being polished and simply silver. A light dusting of make-up was also worn so he didn't look worn out from the rushing in the morning, though he wore make-up everyday despite that.

Olive smiled as he stepped through the hall ways as if on a runway. A bright smile was plastered to his lips as waves were exchanged with people he knew and even people who simply wanted to greet him, it threatened to deal at the sight of a few bullies but didn't fall an inch. It was as if by a miracle he made it to his first class on an early time rather than late sing he hadn't waited for the bell to ring to signal for lessons yet there was already a person in the room, soon to be a lot more.

Adam was shocked to say the least, never once has anyone actually helped him. And damn, that smile. Adam held his Mac book to his chest tightly just nodding his head slightly, taking a glance in his backpack to make sure his camera had survived his small crash into the lockers. Which thankfully it did, he did not want to spend his money on car repairs on a new camera. He just smiled back to Drew, he knew full well who the boy was and wh he wa even thinking about stopping and helping him made him curious as to why he did. But he wa still too occupied about what Bradley said and he knew very well that he would keep to his word, and he didn't expect Drew to be around to help him during that time.

Troy didn't see Olive when he walked in the classroom, he kept his head down as he wrote in his journal. Keeping to himself by choice and remaining silent as other students began to walk in. He shot a glance up once Drew walked in, then looking back to his journal.

Drew walked into his class and sat with one of his baseball friends. He sent a wave to a girl walking in, a girl who he'd been friends with. He glanced around the room, seeing Troy alone in the back, and Olive sitting elsewhere. He soon turned his attention to his friend he sat with and spoke to him about what they'd expect to do this year. Drew's charm could be seen by all, he was naturally like that.

Nick walked in the room with one of his soccer friends in tail. Nick turned to him and said bye as his friend had a different class, when nick turned he saw olive sitting alone, he saw troy sitting alone and he saw drew sitting with another kid. Nick sighed as he went and sat in one of the seats in the back.

Before school Daniel had arrived early for swim practice. They tread water for about 20 minutes and the rest of practice consisted of laps and relays. Coach Sanders blew his whistle (he was a bald old white guy with super broads boulders) signaling that practice was over. Daniel climbed out of the pool his black speedo clinging to his tan, toned, and dripping wet body. He shook out his hair like a dog turning it into a messy mop on top of his head. He grabbed his towel off the bleachers and started to dry himself off. He was a member of the swim team but he wasn't a part of the "team". He knew they only tolerate having him around. Even though he wasn't out he knew they suspected he was gay and they'd be the stupid straight guys worried he would rape them or try and fuck'em. He wouldn't. He hated douches and the team...well everyone on the team was a douche (but him of course). He wrapped his towel around his waist and headed into the locker room. He didn't shower like they other guys were doing. What was the point? He would just get accused of staring even though he would never do that. Sneaking peaks in the shower was stuff you do in 6th grade not when you're a junior in high school.

Daniel dried himself off and got redressed. He didn't mind smelling like chlorine the rest of the day. He threw on his backpack and crammed his swim stuff back in the duffle.

He headed off to class his hair still damp. He entered his first period and sat in the very back corner of the classroom.

Nick saw Daniel walk in and he smiled and blushed. Nick had a crush on Daniel since nick was in 7th grade and Daniel was in 8th grade. Nick and Daniel had become decent friends since they had a few classes together last year. Nick got up out of his seat and smiled at Daniel. "Hey Daniel what's up." Nick was blushing a little bit.

Adam walked into class, which from the looks of it was not going to be a fun class. He took a look at the people within the class and knew that this would be his least favourite of them all. Sighing, he seemed to be the first and only kid to take a seat in the front row. Good grades, that's all that mattered. He huffed out a long breath pushing his flop of hair over out of his face all while pulling down the sleeves on his jean jacket to hide both the tattoos and the scars. He sunk down in his seat placing his book bag under his chair after he took out a notebook and pen to be ready with. Call him prepared, nerdy or whatever, he was going into Standford with good grades, even if it killed him -and seeing how this year was going, it just might kill him.

Troy glanced at Adam as he walked in and sat down. He blushed at the sight of him, though he didn't know him. Troy glanced around seeing the other students, catching a few specific people in his eyes (our characters, lol). He shook off any thoughts and kept writing in his journal. He wrote about how he was feeling, things he was seeing, and other various subjects. He wrote faster than lightning, it was a wonder that his pencil didn't make smoke on the page.

Drew smiled at his friend and let out an adorable laugh loudly at a joke. That wasn't intentional, but no one denied Drew's laugh was...nice to hear. Even Troy glanced at him. Drew smiled still, running a hand through his blonde hair.

Daniel looked over at Nick and smiled a little at him. He'd seen the boy before. The face looked similar but he couldn't place the face. He knew were he'd seen the face before. They had classes last year. He remembered that. He looked curiously at the blond boy and asked,"Nick right?"

He hoped he'd gotten the boy's name right. If he hadn't that would have been embarrassing. This boy was cute but he missed Riley. Riley was his secret boyfriend for about a year and half and they two had actually made a connection. He missed Riley a lot. Riley had moved away and the last time they'd been together was the night they caught caught. That night was terrible. His parents screaming. He blinked his eyes shut tightly and blocked out the memories before returning his gaze to Nick.

Sylvester sat down in his seat, avoiding eye contact with everyone around him. It was just his luck that anyone that he recognized was just another bully, this was one of the reasons why he still lacked friendship, he was surrounded by judgemental assholes whose numbers seemed to build up every year, but he saw some people he didn't recognize from any of his past classes, they looked friendly, if only that pep-talk he'd had with Kade had given him some confidence.

Kadence was sitting in his first period class, greeting the other freshmen with a friendly smile. He didn't recognize them but he hoped to make friends and hang out with Sylvester at lunch, he was sure the guy would make friends! Though, he wasn't exactly social... But he was sure to make friends! He looked at his English teacher as she entered the room, glad so many friendly people were in this class, he just hoped his friend's classmates were as friendly as these strangers.

Nick smiled back at him and blushed a little more at Daniel. "Yea it's nick, we had a couple classes together last year, how was you're summer?" Nick couldn't stop smiling at him. Nick had a crush on Daniel for the longest time, but he never could say anything he didn't want to out him self. If he did that well that would ruin everything for him at the school, but nick decided he was going to go to the club after school and just come out, maybe if somehow he was lucky enough Daniel would be there too.

Daniel chuckled a little at how awkward Nick was being around him. His internal Gay-Dar was going crazy. It was kinda obvious that Nick was either shy or totally super crushing on him. "I'm not gonna lie. My summer was pretty terrible. My parents finally split up for good. They even signed the separation papers. Doesn't help that my mom's working two waitressing jobs while she's 6 months pregnant. She's always on her feet and she's tired all the time. It's not good for her. I've been trying to get a job to help bring in some money but nobody's hiring. It's ridiculous," Daniel said nonchalantly. He then asked,"How was your summer?"

He added that last part just to be polite. It wasn't like he didn't like Nick. Nick was sweet but he admired Daniel like he was God. He was far from it and didn't need some stray puppy dog longing after him.

Nick sat and listened to Daniel as he talked about his summer. That's when nick started thinking about his own summer. "I'm sorry to hear that dude. I couldn't imagine what that must be like having you're parents divorced. My summer was okay I guess. I didn't really see my parents at all they were away on business slot and they sent me to go train in these intense soccer camps so I was away a lot too. I don't really get any breaks." Nick then sighed and looked back at Daniel and realised he was probably annoying him. "Again sorry to hear that about you're parents." Nick turned and looked down at his phone.

Troy put down his pencil, casually and subtly listening in on Nick and Daniel's conversation. He didn't do so intentionally, but they were close enough so he could hear. He shot a quick glance at them both, thinking they were both kind of cute. But again, he turn his forgettable face to his journal. He was so shy, he'd never spoken to anyone. Even though he wasn't talking to them, he felt weird being close to them. Troy quickly stood in an awkward fashion, a "bully" who picked on him for years just for being quiet all the time stuck a foot out where Troy couldn't see and tripped him, causing Troy to fall and drop his belongings. People stared at him, his cheeks became red with embarrassment, even though he was used to this. He sighed and started to pick up his scattered belongings.

Drew and his friend looked at Troy as he fell. Drew shot a glare at the bully. He began to sit up and do something, but his friend stopped him. "Better not get involved, I hear the kid's kind of weird." His friend said. For some reason, Drew listened. He felt sorry for Troy, but what could he really do? He watched as Troy kept collecting his things, dropping them because he shook so much.

Sylvester turned his head to the sound of someone falling, poor guy, and no one was going to help him? Well, even if he wanted to, he couldn't help, he recognized this particular bully, and wished to avoid the same cruel punishment for his own silence. He mouthed an apology to Troy, turning back to his desk with a guilty look on his face. He felt someone poke his shoulder, slowly turning to look at said bully, who slid his finger across his own throat with a smirk on his face. The sophomore looked away, slowly sinking into his jacket.

Kadence listened as the teacher introduced herself, I hope Sylvester is okay... He couldn't help but get the feeling that his shy friend was in trouble, sighing. Just hold on until lunch... He sighed again, listening to the teacher's monotonous voice, it was quickly beginning to annoy him.
