Back in 2009 there was a show on Discovery called The Colony and it was basically a simulation of a post-apocalyptic world after some kind of epidemic. So here's the simple basics of what I'm going to put together:
After an epidemic spreads through the United States, a group of survivors emerge from the isolation rooms set up by the CDC to study the virus and preserve people with a natural immunity or resistance to the virus. It's been 21 days and nearly everyone, including the CDC, has been killed off by the virus. Now, the survivors have to try to rebuild civilization and survive from what remains. Several elements will be working against the survivors; including hostile factions.
There will be an attribute system where you'll be able to allocate a set number of points into different skills as well as different professions to choose from that will give you a base set of skills.
Now here's what I want help deciding: the original show set on the streets of LA and the second season was in Louisiana. We could do either of these settings or something new. I'll set up a poll for that. If you're interested in some post-apocalyptic survival fun, leave a post and put in a vote on where you want the setting to be. I'll make a thread if there's enough interest.
