"I understand that" Kalinda said with a slight frown, "animals often use their other sense to "see" things. What I meant was how can you be here, if you can't see someone in front of you? If they have a weapon? Even if you have a mental sight of some sort, you can still miss things that you wouldn't if you could see physically" she said bluntly, without much emotion, if any it would be curiosity.


Mouse watched this display, as if he had seen it all before. He gave a slight Woof, then dropped his head on his paws, tongue lolling out.

Zaine gave a nod. We're he ordinary she would have a point. He decides whether he should give a few more examples. "So, did your hawk depart for a hunt? Even I can see you prefer the company of your animals." He inquires in a similar blunt tone to her. He decides to give one last example if this fails to get his point across. "If I recall correctly it had more than one color to its feathers, no?"

 

[Field Marshall]

"A fight? Alright, I hope this'll he an epic battle. Yeah, I want whoever these two are to throw down like it's life or death. I can't wait for my own turn, to show of my awesomeness!" Sora yelled excitedly. "I'm so ready! So hurry up and fight." He was so excited his aura began to spill out a bit.

Luciana frowned when she heard her name called out. Great, she thought, I hate going first. She stepped forward and said the headmaster, "I'll use my power too." Then she heard one boy yelled something about his awesomeness and rolled her eyes.


"Good luck," Lucas said as Luciana stepped forward. He looked at the person next to him and grinned, "of course it'll be epic." He turned to Luciana opponent, observing her carefully. He was a little bit worried about Luciana fighting, but he knew that she can take care of herself. He waited patiently for the fight to start.

 

[Caits]

Kalinda looked to the skies, where without looking to hard, she could narrow on the small dot that was Alica as she came down on a dive. "Yes. Alica went to hunt. She was hungry, and she finds these sorts of thing tedious, as do I. I prefer my animals because people can be fickle, boring and just plain irritating" she said lookin down to Mouse who gave her the equivalent of rolling his eyes.


"Alica does have brown, white and black feathers. Ah. I see. Premonition"

Zaine gives a simple nod, seeing she understands. He had more than one trick for it but refused to let it on. It was clear how little she liked people. He ignored the loudmouth other person for now. "As irritating as it likely sound to you, I hope you find this mostly deserted island a little more suited to you." He says to her. Personally he wished for a place a little warmer than this but it wasn't too bad.

 

[Caits]

Kalinda shrugged. "So far it hasn't been too bad. But the head masters antics are just plain over the top" she said not caring if she was over heard. Mouse rose, pressing against her as if to remind her of something. She sighed softly and she said "mouse wishes me to tell you my name. He is a stickler for mannors" she chuckled softly to herself


"I am Kalinda. Or Kali. Whichever" she said, giving Mouse a pat, his tail wagging back and forth like a helicopter. Almost. He vibrated with the momentum of it, and gave a happy woof

 

[Dark Elfling]

Analise glanced around, frowning faintly. This school seemed awfully violent so far. What with the fights and the manipulating devil from earlier. Twisting her fingers into her dress, she bit her lip nervously as she unconsciously made the winds around blow harder. She glanced around anxiously, hoping to find a peaceful creature to speak to. Axis, her panther, bumped her, sensing her anxiety and she decided to focus her attention on him. People tended to be a disappointment anyway.

Ankasha smirked when she saw the devil manipulate the headmaster. What a piece of work. She would have been the kind person to do that, but since she's trying to stay out of trouble, she better steer clear of her. Ankasha wandered forward to watch the upcoming fight. While waiting for it to begin, she absently crafted a basic golom out of the mud on the ground. When it started puttering around, she gave it a stick, smirking as it waved it, grunting. She sighed, unfortunately she doesn't know how to create anything stronger without it draining her, and she needs to save her energy for the oncoming fight.

Zaine found it amusing that the animal was more fond of manners than the owner. Well it's not the strangest thing that will likely happen around here. he just gives an acknowledging nod the idea. "Well Mouse is very civil indeed, how nice. I am Zaine, nice to meet the both of you." he says, holding out a hand to shake hands with her. "And I agree with you on the headmaster, though his actions weren't of his own volition. Seems some of us enjoy causing needless trouble where we go." he says to Kalinda.

Elizabeth gave a mean look to the headmaster "whatever, let's just get this over with" she approached the place where they had to fight and waited for the fight to begin. She made really small dark energy balls in her hands to warm up and then made them disappear. Elizabeth was a great fighter but she hates doing it and she was ready for the fight to be over even if she had to loose intentionally.

 

[Dark Elfling]

Analise gave a small smile when she noticed Elizabeth was reluctant to fight as well. Her eyes sparkling, she gave a warm smile to Elizabeth and darted over, Axis trailing behind.


"Good luck! I'm rooting for you." She said and darted off before Elizabeth could reply to play fetch with Axis.

The headmaster looked at Luciana and nodded his head


"Okay use your powers" he smiled then spoke louder


"Elizabeth and Luciana you ready?" He said

Looks like the fights about to begin cool! Elizabeth vs Luciana this looks like a good fight!


"Good luck Lucy and Eli!!" She said to herself knowing she didn't even know them and used a nickname for them....

Wish it was my turn....and I hope people won't be watching me, at that thought I looked away not liking the thought of people watching me...

"Mouse does keep me polite. Well. His version of polite anyone. I still get to say whatever I like, and he just sits there and rolls his eyes" Kalinda smiled fondly at her big dog. "Alica is my eyes when I can't watch, and Mouse is my protector when I can't fight" she said, "most animals leave me alone, but the two-legged variety can be quite stupid. They soon learn their lesson"


Mouse, seeing that Kalinda wasn't about to shake hands, plopped down and offered his own paw instead. Sometimes Kalinda thought he was so...human.


"Destruction can be benefical but just doing it for a flashy entrance is a bit over the top"'she said, glancing over to the boy that had been responsible for that, "although that boy doesn't appear to know what "tone it down" means"

Zaine ends up shaking hand/paw with the dog. fair enough for now. At least one of them was willing to do it. He noted for next time to not even bother with it. "Oh well. Don't have to to be psychic to guess that." he says with a shrug. In a way it was almost funny since the animal was one acting the most humanlike. "Good dog." Zaine says to Mouse, giving him a smile. "So far it seems like a few students have a the subtlety of a sledgehammer."

Darting away from the crowd, Analise stepped forward nervously. With shaky hands she summoned her staff, the solid weight of it grounding her.


"Can our familiars be in the fight? If not, you may want to restrain him, he's a bit protective." She murmered as she anxiously twirled her staff. As she shed her guise and morphed to her true form, her eyes glowed green and her ethereal wings emerged she immedietly started flying, her wings too large to be on the ground. It was a strange contrast, such an imposing form with such an anxious nature. Taking a deep breath to hide her distress, she schooled her face into a blank mask, looking around to find her opponent.

 

[Caits]

Kalinda stepped forward, pointing a hand to the ground, "I do not need mouse to fight" she said, and Mouse gave a huge doggy sigh and lay down, head on his paws. "Just myself and my claws." And some attributes she would take from her animals. She shared their abilities, and at times, she shared hers. Hence why Mouse was so well mannored.


She took out her claws, but was already shifting slightly. She maintained her normal form, but she morphed some wings for herself, which matched exactly Alica's Wings, to the last little speck. Kalinda knew those wings better then she knew her own face. Having raised Alica from an egg, she knew ever inch of the hawk.


She began to rise, watching her opponent.

 

[Dark Elfling]

Some of Analise's nervousness faded away, replaced by aggression. Gesturing for Axis to stay, she flipped her staff, and silenced the gentle winds around her, stirring the sharper and stronger ones around like spikes, ready to strike. Fighting may distress her, but if she's pushed, she has no lack of power. Dispute her aggression, she still felt a little pull in her gut telling her to silence the wind and stand down. But she cannot back down, if she falters, she will lose all nerve.

 

[Caits]

Kalinda smiled, a ghastly smile that was more like a sneer. She soared upwards, just as Alica returned, fluttering and angling downward to the ground. Kalinda didn't stop to watch her, but instead she doned her claws and angled towards Annalise

 

[Dark Elfling]

The winds warning her of an attack, she formed a shield with half of her winds and sent the other half in a piercing tornado that would rip through her. But before it hit, a voice in her head screamed and the tornado melted into a sphere that only knocked Kalinda back a few feet. Analise's wings snapped back painfully as she struggled with her instinct not to fight. A storm formed around her, encasing her as she struggled to focus on the fight.

 

[Caits]

Kalinda let Alica's instincts flow over her and she rode the wind, didn't fight it, and she rose high, before diving on Analise, claws out, the metal gleaming sharp and deadly, diving fast, in an attempt to not give her any time to attack back.

 

[Dark Elfling]

Her mind finally snapping back, her distress and other emotions slammed into a small corner of her mind. In a blind aggression, Analise slammed the storm outward, slamming in a circle around her, catching everything in its path.

 

[Caits]

Kalinda flinched, and then began to angle for the ground at an angle so that she was virtually racing the storm, and her goal was the ground. She yelped, lost to the wind, when it caught her. Mouse gave a howl, and Alica cried out, digging her claws into Zaine as she landed on his shoulder.


Kalinda snapped her wings closed, once more letting the wind take her where it would. She had two choices. Fight towards Analise, and knock her out, therefore showing people how strong she was, or let herself slam towards the ground.


She gritted her teeth, and twisted, claws out, and waited. One heart beat. Two beats. Three. Four. Five. She snapped out her wings once more, and angled upwards with an updraft. And then down with a down draft. She followed this pattern until she could get out, and angled down to the ground, dismissing the wings when she landed. She was panting. mouse came bounding up to her, and locked her face, and she sunk to the ground and buried her face in his fur. Her back hurt, and she was sure she would be covered in bruises.


"I'm done"

 

[Dark Elfling]

Analise crumpled to the ground after Kalinda landed. Her wings slumped in exaushion and she glanced up, emotionally exhausted.


"I gravely apologise, I-I let my emotions overcome me. It will not happen again and I hope this wont create resentment between us


" she said and quickly walked away, standing stiffly next to Saru again. She wasnt prepared for this, her emotions were firmly locked away, not to return for a long time.

 

[Demonic Angel]

Nice job! " the headmaster congratulated Kalinda


"Now the next fight..." The headmaster looked at everyone till he looked at two people who seemed they would fight well..


"Sora and Zaine " the headmaster spoke.

"Thanks, headmaster. You're the best." Zaine says in reply to the announcement in a tone that faked sarcasm but was a bit amused. The battle hungry guy that seemed to be getting on people's nerves getting paired with a guy that couldn't even see. Flashes of a radiant aura and a weapon encased with divine energy came to mind. Somehow he wasn't surprised, even his gift of prophecy was already telling him things he could guess. He slowly makes his way to the fighting area. He knew his new animal-loving acquaintance wanted him to beat Sora down, he decided just to see how it goes.


"Ironic, ain't it? Wanting a good fight but stuck with me?" Zaine calls out, seeing if Sora had been paying attention or would fall for the bluff.
