The Cleansing of Eldor [RP]

"So that is all?"

Tor looked up from the bed she was sitting on. It had taken some provoking and time but Scyra had gotten the story out of her. It was surprisingly and disappointingly short and she didn't seem to know much. Still Scyra did not think he was wrong in his taking of her. Tor was still tense and he could barely move from where he stood at the door without her flinching or something.

"Can I go now?"

"Go? Go where? Back to your master? Back to the Orcs? Or back to your friends?"

With his one eye he watched her. She seemed to be split in her descion. Part of her wanted to run away from him, but part wanted to say. He could hear her thoughts that at least she was safe here. He also laughed. If she felt so safe why not let him approach her? It was confusing but then women were always that for him. He retracted from her mind, she shivering at it, and then paused. Suddenly he found himself cut off from it. He was alarmed and he looked around. Tor herself seemed to be a bit surprised.

"What was that," he asked a bit harsh. In all his time he had yet to have entered someone and then be shut out so suddenly. There were those who could block off psychic attempts on themselves but this girl was not one of them. She seemed capable of very little which fit being a human and a slave. Scyra had always been surprised of his own power though it was not always useful or strong. It really depended on the person he was using it on.

"I am not- Are you okay?"

Scyra staggered a bit. He could see it. Someone running for the girl. One of her companions? He frowned. He had no intention of dealing with anyone but Tor, or Niinji or whoever she was. He sighed deeply.

"You are safe her girl. I have lived here for a good while. Stay here and I will help you."

"Why?"

"I was once a slave too."

GRAND ENCHANTRY

Eurelh had arrived at the Enchantry, few dwarves were ever here, and evenfewer worked on the enchantments. Eurelh was one of the best at it thanks to his practice over the past 8 decades. There were of course many skilled enchanters who made better enchantments, and other who could manage to make them quickly and... fairly stable. Eurelh was one of the few who could manage to do precise enchantments at an astounding speed, furthermore his enchantments seemed to never expire.

Eurelh breathed a deep breath inward looking towards his Cannon, still enchanted for... was it 30 years now?? He didn't quite remember, one of the few foggy memories any dwarf would ever have. He shifted his gaze throughout the entire Enchantry, seeing its golden beauty.Hundreds of feet high off the floor stood the ceiling, held by massive gold platted covers of sorts. The lights hanging from what looked like a shinny almost reflective metal, never dimming in its beauty and light. It is still a wonder to all dwarves how the Older ones enchanted those lights, or even if they were enchantments, buthundreds of years later they remain.

The noises of the forge next tunnel over were drowned out, another mystery to Eurelh and perhaps the others as well. Alas none of that mattered now...

Eurelh smiled his toothy smile and walked over to his station, working on his art, keeping in beat with the music playing in his mind. Most dwarves came in looking for enchantments to keep their tools in working conditions, while many others loved for enchantments to be added to their wares for sale. Some, though few, wished for more unusual enchantments such as shiny clothing.

Eurelh took a quick look around, seeing no one staring at him. A smirk spread across his face as he fondled his skin of mead. Another boring day of work, but well worth his time spent Enchanting.

TEGBY'S TAVERN

Another day, another trip to the Tavern. Run down looking or not, Tegby's Tavern had THE best dwarven mead, and even limited quantities of weaker human Ale. Eurelh was wobbling through the doorway towards his favourite seat as someone shouted “Does anyone even seem to care that, although, we might not MIND living in this lovely world, away from whatever frightening stuff the outside might hold... that perhaps, the fact the outsiders DID destroy some of out paths out there, should be taken as a sign of war?”Not just anyone though, no, but a young dwarf that Eurelh had nevermet at Tegby's before.

While most dwarves took no notice, others shrugged off the statement of a drunk, some even thought it was Eurelh despite the difference in her voice and his own. Eurelh chose to go cheer her up, smiling his toothy grin as he strode on over. “Ello', wutt seems to be dee problem??” he tilted his head still smiling, unaware as to how ugly his smile just was, he continued “Did sum'un, do somethin'??”

Eurelh sat down and already a drink was delivered to him, the waiter asking Ruby if she'd like anything knowing Eurelh enough to not ask but simply deliver.

Ruby of course was ordering her second round when someone actually asked her what was going on. She would pause, her eyes studying the drawf who approached her space in away, trying to figure if he really cared or was just trying to stir up chat. “Some green beasts have been closing off the exits to the upper world. Sure they are far from the capital, but those bastards cut me off from my collection.”

Her eyes would go back to her drink before muttering about having collected since she was a babe. Only to pause and frown at him annoyed. “Your drunk aren’t ya? That’s the only reason you would care to talk to someone like me. Well that or you’re just looking for a good laugh. You don’t plan to make a fool out of me do you?” Her hand closes to him balled into a fist, as if she was ready to take him on if the last was the case.

Her other hand moved to take a nice long swing of her drink in case she needed it a bit more, if a fight did break out. She wasn’t used to being in the more popular dwarf areas. A country girl in the way most dwarfs could be. That didn’t mean she couldn’t put up with the boys though, it just meant her skin was a bit thicker when she had too.

Soon after Masahiro told them to turn around and head back, Archon asked him if he could lead them to the tavern by going through a different and much safer way, instead of going right through the crowd. It was a great plan, until Tor was taken away. "Blasted!" Masahiro yelled out, looking around to see if he was able to even catch a glimpse of who took Tor. But he then watched as Archon kneeled down right next to the building, and later took out a wand from under his sleeve, and began to cast what looked like a spell. Quickly, Masahiro turned back to see if anyone was around, because who knows if there were any Orcs that are watching them. And as Masahiro was finished examining the area, he turned back to Archon. He was already done with what ever he was doing, but he seemed weak.

That wand.. if he was casting a spell, did it also drained him out? Masahiro thought to himself as he walks over to Archon, who is already holding onto the wall. And before Masahiro was able to say anything, Archon told him that he knew where Tor was taken to. And quickly, the man started to slip his wand back under his sleeve. Then as he was still holding onto the wall, Archon began to walk towards the tavern; the place that he had mentioned that they should go to earlier. And just as the man began to walk, Masahiro quickly walked over to him, and placed his hand on the man's shoulder. "Look, Archon. You seem drained out from what ever you were doing back there with your wand. If you want to keep on going to save her, then lets go. But I wouldn't want you to get hurt at this state, it would be best if you could stay back for a bit.. At least until you get back on your feet.." Masahiro told Archon, as he stared at the man, then back to the street, to see once again if there was anybody else hanging around here. But Masahiro knew that Archon was able to pull himself together. He also knew that Tor needed their help from whoever took her, and they couldn't just stop now.

"Well, you did make it this far, especially with that broken leg that you said you got earlier today. So come on then, lets go get Tor back."

TEGBY'S TAVERN

The waiter nodded and left.

Eurelh tilted his head the other way now "Dim Orkz?? Aye dee be crushin' holes. Alas what kenya do." Continuing to listen to her explain her frustration and suddenly her defensive actions towards his motives, he laughed a hearty laugh, "Nut yet Ai aint!!" of course following up with downing his current drink. Emptied in seconds another mug was on its way over. "So-" he began as the young dwarf continued, Eurelh quieted down to let her finish. Suggesting he was speaking to her only because of mead or for a laugh was almost hurtful, though another laugh went off, "Wutt you mean sum'un like you, yer angry'n want stuff bahk. A coll... collection Ai think??" Eurelh shook his head, "Ders nu point foolin' wit you, und nu point wastin' time grumblin'." he downed the drink almost as soon as it arrived "Juss keep it in mind."

Eurelh was now thinking of something, perhaps he could offer help... but he wasn't so good at digging.

“Just wish we could drop rocks, or close some caves in on them. That seems like a nice payback; bury them for them burying my stash.” Ruby gave the older one a glance once more before trying to punch his arm lightly. Not meaning any harm at all by it if it hit more of a friendly thing. “Guess you’re not so bad then as I first thought.” She muttered glancing down to the bag next to her in thought. Shame the Orcs didn’t have holes of their own.

“So what do you do in an overcrowded place like this anyways? I can’t think there is much digging around these parts.” She glanced around almost disappointed, at least if the parts had places to dig more she could distress that way. She liked digging, it was relaxing in its own way . . . but if the Orcs were going to just keep ruining her work what was the point of it all? “Anything fun to do sides getting drunk and stupid?”

"I'll be fine. Two runes in one day, and one of the strongest I've used in a while, drained me. But it's nothing I'm not used too." Archon said, looking at Masahiro with a steady gaze. Weak or not, tired or not, injured or not, it didn't matter. "Besides, it's Tor...I'd go to H*ll and back for her..." he added in a mutter, patting Masahiro's shoulder before moving forward again.

He moved off easily, if with a slight limp to his step. With the use of one rune, so weakens the last one for a while. His leg had fractured just barely again, but by the time he touched the tavern door, it was better. He shoved the door open, giving the bartender a stay out of it glance. The man knew Ash and some what of what he could do. He knew more than once the boy should have died, but now the man never seemed to faulter. He started up the stars, following his mind while drawing one final rune on his wrist. Ancient blood, hear my plea, shield our minds, Hiro and me. It was a minor rune, and would have no effect on the last one he used because it wasn't nearly as strong.

"A slave?'

"Well sure. I mean most humans start out that way. I was in a brothel house for a man good years until I fled." Scyra almost smiled at Tor's surprised look. He was happy that out of the three he took her. At least she didn't try and hurt him (beyond earlier's burning) or even flee. Maybe it was mainly out of fear. It did not matter. She seemed to be listening to him now. "It was not easy but I managed to flee the brothel and I have lived here, relatively safe and happy. I want to offer you the same chance."

"But Mas- The older man I was with. He offered me freedom too."

"Really?"

Tor looked at her lap. He
did offer her a chance of freedom from the Orcs, but his way was different from what Scyra was telling her. She felt torn. Scyra seemed to be living a good life and he had not been reclaimed yet, but Masahiro seemed so sure and Ash was with him as well. It seemed Scyra's way was a lot lonelier. She figgeted not sure what to say or do.

"They will come looking for me. My friends I mean."

Scyra shrugged. It was no concern of his. "They will not find you if you don't want them too. It's your life. You need to make the choices."

"I...I am unsure of what I want."

She walked to market, And fumbled in the pouch.

Five gems in total, but she did not know there worth, at all.

She quickly purchased some buckets, giving the suprised trader a gem in return, and carried them to the nearest well.

Alibi in hand, Sia began to return to her masters domain.

True to his word, Malver had died in a blaze of glory, the house now little more ash.

The heavy iron door stood on its own, charred and blackened, a testement to the inferno that had been.

She contemplanted how sweet it would be, to spill The Masters blood with his own blade, and stepped foward into the rubble.

Suddenly two set of heavy hand grabbed her, and pulled down the hood.

"Ahhhh.... " Murmered The Master.

"We have found our miscreant, A young lad..."

Sia Burned with anger. She was glad the disguise was effective... But that effective?

The masters companion snorted: " You now how it is with humans. little more than pigs when its comes to their basic desires"

Drak' thal nodded sagley.

"You think he was after my pretty little songbird?"

"Without doubt"

The master nodded, and then without warning, backhanded her, and she slipped into the darkness.

"I understand. Now, lets keep moving, hopefully they haven't left from their spot yet.." Masahiro said as Archon patted his shoulder. He then watched as Archon began to move, limping a bit. Masahiro just followed as they made their way to the tavern. While they were on their way, Masahiro wondered who was the person that took Tor from them. And he wondered why. Was it somebody that over heard them speaking back when those three were by the mansion? He just shook his head and continued to follow Archon. And finally, they were already inside the tavern. And by the time that they got inside, Archon wasn't limping anymore. But he gave the bartender a hard look. And after Archon gave the bartender a hard look, that man turned around as if he wasn't going to bother them with whatever business they had here.

Masahiro and Archon then made it to the stairs. And as they were walking up the stairs, Masahiro placed his hand onto Archon's shoulder right after that man was done using his wand again. "Get ready for anything.." Masahiro warned him as he placed his hand back onto his katana that sat there on his waist. He then nodded, as he began to wait for Archon to continue moving on.

"What do you want Tor? I am sure they will find us soon enough. You can stay here," Scyra started. He didn't like the thought of Tor being here. He was rather okay with his minor interactions with the people at the bar. Having someone here who knew him or at least some of his story was not something he wanted. But he didn't want to be mean to the girl. "Or go somewhere else. I am sure there are jobs around. Or you can go back with them."

"I promise to tell them not to hurt you," Tor said suddenly. She could only imagine Ash attacking Scyra. It was reasonable as he had no idea that Scyra was not a bad person, but she didn't want anyone to get hurt. "But...I will go with them. I...I can't abandoned Ash."

"Then you will go. But," Scyra paused for a moment. Did he really want to say this? "You can come back at any time. I will always be here."

Archon was already ready, his dagger twisting in his hand absently, angrily. But he was in completely control of himself, and was mindful that the man that took his Tor could easily use her as a human shield. He sighed, shaking his head to keep in clear. He needed a clear head, simple as that.

With a sigh, he felt the door lightly, before pushing it open with a hard shove, the old rune on his back flaring to life as he broke the lock along with shoving the door open. Some runes were like stains on his skin, forever there. Always useable. Others were just scars. "You have exactly two seconds to let her go before I gut you." His voice was monotone and dead, like it often got. He purposely detatched his emotions so in he end he would feel no remorse.

When the door flew open Scyra moved so that he was in front of Tor. She found it surprising but nice to know that he was ready to defend her. But when she saw who was there she smiled and ran forward, enveloping Archon into a hug.

"Ash!" She held him tightly happy to see her friend, but then she pulled away and shook her head at him. "Don't hurt him. Please. He didn't hurt me or anything. He...it's okay Ash."

Scyra stood where he had moved, cold eyes glaring at Archon as if daring him to make a move or disbelieve Tor.

Archon wrapped his arms around her instantly, holding his blade at an angle from her. Her voice said what he didn't want to readily admit, but if a fight could be avoided, so be it. "If you say so, Tor." He held her against him, looking at Scyra with the same cold glare.

Scyra let his mind extend but when he did he felt the same block he had found within Tor. So this was who had done it? Or maybe just knew the same person who could as the girl did. He shrugged and sat down on his bed watching the two.

Tor was still focused on Archon. "How did you find me? I mean I am happy to see you but..."
'I've come to like talking with this man? God Tor you don't even know his name yet and he did abduct you even if he did nothing else wrong. Don't be stupid.' "Anyways I am okay. Actually he was talking to me about freedom as well. But I wanted to stay with you and Masahiro. I...I own something to you. I can't abandoned you."

Tor hugged him again, enjoying the feeling of being in his arms. But the admiration and affection she had felt for him seemed to have faded a bit. She was startled by this but did not voice or show her surprise.

--- Merged Double Post ---

'Great. This is what I get for going out and letting my powers do as they want.'

He was glad though for the blocks. The usually buzz and urge was gone and so it was peaceful in his head, or as peaceful as it could be. He still seemed to be in trouble.

"My name is Scyra. Last name is no concern of yours. I...I was able to learn you thought you were being ambushed. I could not let this pretty girl get in trouble. I knew she was hesitant about going with you. So I took her. Sure it is stupid looking back but I think I've benefited from it and so has she. I meant no real harm. Just wanted to help someone. Besides the two of you seemed capable of handling yourselves. I doubt she can do much."

Tor frowned at it, though it was true.

"So just take her and go. I am sorry to have ever interfered." He looked at Tor and smiled a little. "But remember what I told you and that I'll be here."

"Id ask that you stop trying to tread in places you don't belong. The closed door should be enough to get the message." Archon said, shaking his head while glancing at Scrya and then looking down at Tor. "The same way I healed my leg, Tor, just a different one." He gav her That always reasuring smile. He still was attracted to her, and would protect her, but he'd never force her to stay. But then again, he'd never want her to go either.

He looked back at Scyra, eyebrow raised. "You can come along, you know. Being human...look, I'm just extending the invitation for Tor's sake." He glanced at Tor then added, "And I can make it so you don't have to hear that constant buzz in your head, if you want."

Masahiro nodded to what Scyra had told him, but he was a bit concerned. How did this man know about the ambush? Masahiro just shook his head. But he watched as Scyra explained himself and apologized for interfering, and telling Tor to remember about what he had told her when the others weren't here. The man seemed suspicious, but Tor was alright. And Archon wasn't going to kill anybody, so that's a good thing too. Masahiro then stared at Tor, and back to Archon. He then gave off a long sigh of relief. "Well, least you're alright Tor." He told her, but he then walked over to the wall right beside the door and leaned on it. He then stared down to the ground, feeling troubled.

What happened to Bolton and Dante..? What was that ambush all about..? Masahiro thought to himself as he still stared down at the floor. Something terrible must have happened to Bolton and Dante. But it was impossible to go and check because that ambush was in the way. And heading to Bolton's house while an ambush waited for them would only please Death. But this really troubled Masahiro, because if those two were killed by the Orcs, his anger towards those tyrants would only grow stronger.

Archon looked from Tor to Masahiro, thinking. It wouldn't be easy, there was a chance he'd black out, but it was doable. He said, "I can find out what happened, Hiro. I see you're troubled, so that is why I offer. I myself would like to know what became of your people." He rolled his shoulder, arms still around Tor very gently. He looked at Masahiro and waited for an answer.

Synod looked at the Dryad as she approached. "I am a Druid. But my name is Synod Valethos. As far as I know,I'm the last of my tribe." When the Dryad pointed over her shoulder, and asked her question,he was confused. "What do you mean?"

"What are we doing now," Tor asked Masahiro. She heard what Archon suggested and shook her head at him.

"No! You need to rest Ash. I don't want you passing out or have something else happen. You need to take a break. I don't want to see you overextend yourself and get hurt."

But Tor knew that he could help whatever was troubling Masahiro and she felt she might not able to convince Archon to stop anyways. But it was worth a try.

A light chuckle “Dat wud be a nice ching'o'pace”,Eurelh still chuckling. As Ruby hit his arm he looked over to it, confused by the action. He shrugged it off laughing a bit. Ruby looked at her bag for a moment then asked him a question “So what do you do in an overcrowded place like this anyways? I can't think there is much digging around these parts.”Eurelh looked around, “Ai can see why yu'd think dat, but what Dorf city wul'nt be diggin'som'er huh??”he smiled his toothy grin, teeth missing or broken from the blast,“Ef diggin' is wut yu want, Ai know a cupple places. I aint ne'er been a good digger.”he admitted while pointing down to the floor. “Jus gotta look.”his grin grew wider.

Ruby actually seemed to perk a bit when he spoke of at least a few digging spots around. “Digging isn’t hard to learn, just takes work. Pick for harder spots, shovel for easy, and that bag there for when your lazy.” A smirked crossed her face as she went to pick up her items, the bag being more her little secret. “So come on! If I’m going to be stuck in this overly fancy pit I’m going to at least find a hang out that I like.” It seemed that was all Ruby needed to consider you someone to drag around at the very least. “Sides wasten away in this tavern doesn’t seem to have done you any good. “

FinallyRuby was a bit more cheerful, apparently digging was what she trulyloved and it had been taken away from her. Afterwalking for a few minutes, and Eurelh explaining some things aboutthe place, they walked past a little boil covered dwarf placingrocks. Eurelh took notice and was intrigued, two dwarves he's nevermet in one day?! Highly unlikely. “Disis where i'all star'ed. Dey dug here'nd made a place'uh'beau'y.”

“One you must have drunk so much in your life your words got all sloshed around in your head due to the al.” Ruby . . . honest . . . a bit too honest it seems. “I don’t even know what you’re saying half the time.” She would give him a smile never the less, probably glad to have at least some company. When he seemed to notice another dwarf she paused and glanced over the new guy. “Another friend of yours?” Her eyes would narrow as she tried to studied the other before waiting for what she saw as her new drunken friend to go over and say hello. This city was way to big for her taste, too many dwarfs, no way you could know them all . . . right?
