Vudukudu
Farseer to the Warsong Clan
The Jewel of the Empire. The Seat of Kings. The White City. The City of Ash.
Five hundred years ago, Adelheim was the largest, wealthiest, most important city of the Empire of Adelon. It fell into ruin, not by outside force, nor internal discord, but by catastrophic chance. The city was struck by a mana-storm, and that storm has swirled about its walls for centuries.
Until now.
Months ago, the fury of the mana-storm began to wane day by day until nothing of it remained. Now, adventurers, mercenaries, monsters, and peoples of all sorts are scrabbling for the opportunity to plunder Adelheim. The City of Ash is now a ruin, battled over by hardened bands of men, Witch-hunters, the slavering forces of Chaos, and all manner of beast, each looking for the relic that will make them rich or powerful. Traders outside the city walls deal in ancient baubles and weaponry, eagerly feeding the bloodbath within Adelheim for their own profit. More men arrive by the day, wielding farm-scythes or great-axes, and slake the thirst of the City with their blood.
Come, be you hero or outcast. Any with a blade, determination, and a bit of luck may just find their place in the City of Ash.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The City of Ash will follow the stories of a disparate band of those courageous enough to pick the bones of Adelheim. Whether it be as a group or loners, we'll be digging and fighting through the decaying corpse of a Gothic city, packed with loot and danger to match. Combat will be brutal, quick, and unexpected - limbs will be lost, flames will roast men alive in their armor, and heads will roll.
I'm looking for fairly detailed writers, capable of supporting their own direction and story when needed. I won't set a length requirement, I simply expect that whatever you post contributes to the story in a meaningful way. As for lore and races and other relevant material, I will be working on that material while I collect interested players.
Feel free to ask any questions, and I'll try to answer them promptly.
