The General-Dressed Man
Hello folks, I'm looking for any number of people to do an rp on Discord. Essentially I have an original universe with original species and cultures. There are several places in the established timeline we will be capable of playing and I will leave exactly where in the main history we start up to the players.
In the year 2076, Native Americans discover vast amounts of platinum, rare metals, and oil beneath their reservations. They invest in technology and infrastructure, with whole companies such as NASA and SpaceX being bought and consolidated by the Cherokee Nation, specifically. The first Ark was created as a result of this program. A low orbiting satellite, made to circle the Earth and collect energy from solar rays, was launched, taking with it a large majority of scientists and the Five Nations.
Not to be shown up, several Terran governments begin work on identical Arks, creating a total of three before disaster struck. The earth's seas begin to rise uncontrollably, and a large vein of noxious gases are opened by oil drilling companies, poisoning the oceans and air. Earth is no longer habitable, and the Arks are boarded, taking all the lives, animals, plants, and relics of Earth's most glorious eras with them. Humans may still live on Terra, but they have long since reverted to a simpler way of life. Imagine Fallout.
The Arks circled Earth for close to a century, silently avoiding one another and hoping the world would return to normal. Due to crisis on Arks 3-4, a great mission was undertook, and all Four arks were combined to form what is now known as the Citadel. Thrusters were added and the satellite became a cruiser, with the purpose of finding a new home.
In the year 2396, humans encounter the Chi-Grons. The Chi-Grons are a space faring society of bird-like quadrupeds. Humans immediately took to them, because the 'gryphons' as they came to be called, were so damn likeable. They had the energy and attitude of Terran canines, we're generally nice unless provoked, and enjoyed the human's habit of petting soft creatures. They allow the Citadel to float in orbit over their own planet, and select humans even live on the surface. Trade is done freely and certain social relationships have been created as a result of the species companionship. The Chi-Grons resemble feathered mountain lines, with owl-like heads. They have several pea-cock like feathers that they use to convey feeling. Feathers rise, lower, or shake to show emotion. They have organs capable of producing human speech.
Chi-Grons enjoy being treated like intelligent canines, though a few interspecial relationships have and do occur. They lay eggs and hatch them. Their planet is more wild than Earth, the Chi-Grons having lived in conjunction with nature as opposed to against it.
In the year 2508, the Citadel and the Chi-Gron's homeworld become so populated that water is becoming scarce. A nearby planet,Titon, completely submerged in liquid water is farmed by the Citadel, which breaks free from the Chi-Gron homeworld and moves into it's current position in Titon's orbit. A primitive culture exists in the depths of Titon's seas, unknown to the citadel. The Glu'nams are a crustaceous, war crazed society. Ecological tragedy strikes when the oceans ecosystems begin to suffer due to the water harvesting. When the species is discovered, treaties are signed and the Glu-nams are given a place in the Citadel. The three species live in union, treating one another with respect. Other more primitive sentient races have been discovered throughout the galaxy since the Glu'nams joined the Citadel Council, but laws are set in place to prevent impeding the species natural development. Despite this, pirates plague the aether, enslaving and selling sentient races to shady creatures across the known universe.
