introduction.
A few weeks ago, a letter arrives on your doorstep, from the King of the Nation of Binem. It reads
"Dear friend,
The nation of Binem has been isolated for quite some time. Now, I believe we've finally come to the point where we must ally ourselves with others. But, I get ahead of myself. I would like to invite you, or a representative of yours to our palace where all will be explained. I look forward to meeting you and creating a relationship between our nations"
Now, this was sent to the leaders of several countries, druid groups, and any who are powerful in this world. That is, besides the witch covens. This is because the kingdom of Binem was cursed, hundreds of years ago. This curse turned them into abominations, or what we have come to know as werewolves.
The legend goes, hundreds of years ago, the king had a mistress. She was kind, beautiful, just, and everything the queen wasn't, but the king still loved his wife. So, when the mistress became pregnant, the queen decided that something must be done. She killed the mistress and her unborn child with her bare hands, ripping out the young woman's heart. Months passed before the late mistress's mother heard of her child's death, but when she did, hell broke loose. She gathered all the dark magic in the world and focused it on the realm of Binem and it's people, casting a curse upon them. If they were going to act like animals, let them become some. This witch disappeared soon after, leaving chaos in her wake. A spell was formed to keep all of the citizens from informing anyone about their curse, so no one would attack them, and the kingdom isolated themselves.
Some supernaturals have been informed of the kingdom's curse, but now the royal family is attempting to team these creatures and humans up, in order to fight this witch and undo the chaos she has caused.
As for roles, there will be an official page later. As far as roles go, come up with anything you want. They could be royals from another country, nobles, peasants, guards, vampires, etc.
werewolves.
Werewolves are half human, half wolf creatures that can transform into wolves. The only difference between them and a regular wolf is werewolves tend to have unnaturally colored or brighter eyes. Werewolves also tend to have their strange eye color when they are particularly angry or upset. To other werewolves, this is a sign that their wolf side may be more in control than the human. "Shifting", as it is known to the wolves, can be incredibly painful the first few times it is done, but it becomes easier as they do it more. Most wolves shift for the first time around thirteen, though there are early and late bloomers. Some particularly powerful wolves also have the ability to half-shift when they are very upset, which causes some of their werewolf characteristics to show in their human form, such as their claws and fangs.
In general, werewolves are stronger than humans. They also have increased agility, faster healing, night vision, and they are harder to kill or injure. These traits are stronger in werewolves that are related to or in the royal family.. All werewolves are weak to silver, fire, and wolfsbane. Contrary to most folklore, werewolves can shift whenever they want, not just on the full moon. The full moon just causes them to be more in tune with their wolf side and they are forced to turn.
Contrary to most folklore, there is no such thing as alphas, betas, or omegas. A werewolf in the royal family is the strongest, and has a strongest wolfish characteristics. Those related to the royals also tend to be stronger. Other than that, it really depends on the training the wolf receives and their nutrition.
vampires.
Vampires are mostly grouped into families, with the oldest being the leader. By families, I mean the leader has turned many people close to death and sort of adopted them. They do need to drink blood or eat raw meat to survive, but they prefer human blood over other things. Many groups choose to live in populated cities, but they move around a lot so the humans don't suspect anything. Vampires also have e͏n͏h͏a͏n͏c͏e͏d ͏p͏h͏y͏s͏i͏c͏a͏l ͏c͏o͏n͏d͏i͏t͏i͏o͏n (͏s͏p͏e͏e͏d ͏a͏n͏d ͏s͏t͏r͏e͏n͏g͏t͏h), ͏n͏i͏g͏h͏t ͏v͏i͏s͏i͏o͏n, ͏d͏e͏c͏e͏l͏e͏r͏a͏t͏e͏d ͏a͏g͏i͏n͏g, retractable fangs, ͏a͏n͏d ͏t͏h͏e͏y ͏c͏a͏n ͏h͏e͏a͏r ͏h͏e͏a͏r͏t͏b͏e͏a͏t͏s/͏b͏l͏o͏o͏d ͏p͏u͏m͏p͏i͏n͏g. Their weaknesses are that they need permission to enter a home, have water aversion, sunlight, fire, and wooden or metal stakes.
witches.
Witches are organized into covens and are a matriarchal society. Their leaders tend to be elderly women and each coven has a set of abilities relating to one of the elements. They also can conduct other spells (relating to necromancy, invocation, or pain affliction), but they need to prepare and they need a spell book for those. Their strength is magic. Their weaknesses are that magic takes energy (so they can't do too many spells at once) they can become addicted to magic, some spells will kill them to cast, and spells can easily be broken.
druids.
Druids are a race that has promised their lives to protecting the earth. They live in groves, often headed by elders or strong warriors. Their skills include magic (mostly pertaining to earth spells), earth manipulation, and speaking to animals. They are also very strong and skilled in healing magic. They have a particular weakness to fire or heat, as well as ice. Their main goal is to protect the earth, by any means necessary and they don't often involve themselves in politics.
