Mia was on her way to school. It was the first day of the new year and she was exited. It looked the same every year. She decided to make friends that time and actually speak to people, but she never did afterwards. She bowed around one corner. Maybe she could make contact to her dorm mate. She shook her head. She wouldn't. She hoped to, but it was not realistic. She bowed around the next corner. She could see the school from there. Her stuff should already have been sent to her dorm. She entered the school ground and took a deep breath. 'Here we go', she thought as she went to the blackboard, saw her dorm number and went there. She hoped for her mate to be nice.

Kayla sat on her bed with her headphones on. She was singing along to some song, not having a care in the world. She had long wavy black hair trailing beyond her bottom and dark blue eyes that were so blue they almost appeared fake. She hadnt even unpacked anything yet except for a sketch pad and her ipod. She glanced up and yanked off her hedphones, rushing over to who she assumed was her roommate. She pulled her into a hug "oh! nice to meet you!" she smiled, pulling away "im Kayla!"

Mia suddenly got hugged. She looked at the girl who hugged her and stuttered a "Erm...huh...", not able to say anything else. She went to her bed and sat down, embarrassedly looking at her new roommate.

Mia blushed, her face turning to a deep shade of red. She nodded quickly and stuttered. "M-Mia....my name's Mia...", before she turned around and unsteadily unpacked her things. She dropped a few while doing so.

Mia nodded thankfully as Kayla picked up the things. She finished her work and got out her phone, calling her mother. As she wanted to start speaking, her mother yelled at the phone drunkenly, loud enough for Kayla to hear but not understand. Mia quickly closed the called and put her phone back into her pocket, looking at the ground embarrassedly.
