Yeah, I mean, technically, its not 'required', but it'd be rude to not talk to the player so they can think of a neat story together and that doesn't feel like a piece of their character was taken away.
Gluttony and Lust probably won't have kids [I know Lust doesn't, she hates kids and would never have one].
I know Pride has some, Humility has that one he might let you have, I'd be willing to work in another kid for sloth he never knew he had.
