OK I feel dumb rn lol, but how do I notify you guys when I respond (your names in blow at the bottom of my reply)?

I didn't know how until I saw somebody else explain it, so no worries. You just type @ followed by the username. It seems to be the normal thing to do on this site (hence why I've been doing it), but I keep almost forgetting. It is nice for keeping straight which characters are grouped together, though.


Important Announcement
I will be on vacation the afternoon of the 2nd through the 8th, of September. This vacation is at a national park, so I'm not really expecting cell service. This wouldn't be a big deal, except I recently learned the B&B we're staying at doesn't have wi-fi. So, worse case scenario, you won't see me at all while I'm on vacation. Hopefully I get enough cell service to check in/post if needed, but it's out of my control.

Feel free to post while I'm gone, though I know the RP is currently in an awkward spot for me to not be active. I feel really bad disappearing for that long, but I never thought to question the wi-fi situation. Not that it would have changed much, other than me maybe not posting the RP yet, but... I still feel bad.



EDIT: I don't think anybody has been on since my post, so have an edit instead of a new post... In reference to my last RP post, if any of the characters were going to ask another question, I can always modify/backtrack my post. It just didn't seem like there were going to be more questions, so I just went with it. Also, Jabroni , I'm thinking there would have been a light sandstorm during the attack your character experienced, but not enough of anything that it would have seemed suspicious at the time.

Quick question. Were the last two lines of your RP post meant to be dialogue? Otherwise, the items mean literally nothing to Malcolm, so I wanted to make sure before responding.

Also, almost everyone across the land has assumed it's the same beast attacking the various cities and that it's a single beast (Makita and the rest were very careful at Castershire, with almost no survivors there coupled with the dense fog, to keep the secret of there being two beasts). Rylen can still ask something about it (especially with this new knowledge about the weather), to see if Malcolm has further insight there, but I just wanted to clarify the general consensus of Tarulos.

No, those last two lines were just him thinking that. If any of it is too metagamy I can edit it.

Alrighty. Just wanted to make sure. I would edit that first bit of dialogue, though, as it comes across as odd since it's already assumed that's the beast they're hunting.

I do have some cell service where my family is staying but none once in the main area of the park (where all the sites are). So, I can still check in occasionally (mornings/evenings).

I don’t really go by turns in RPs, but just if there’s “room” for my characters to do/say something, so to speak. Anyone can respond to Yahhah’s post, but I purposefully didn’t respond since I barely posted and it’s not something aimed specifically at either of my characters.

So, Yung_Toasterbath69 and Jabroni , feel free to leave a post, and then I’ll see when I can get a response up.

Sorry I never gave an official post, but I have been back from my vacation for some time (and have been checking into the site daily, even if I never said anything). I really want to keep this RP going, so are you still interested Jabroni ? Not trying to call you out, but we are waiting on you to post.

For everyone, I do want to get past the introduction scene soon and get the hero group on their journey. Not trying to rush anyone, but it's always more interesting when characters have freedom to move/explore new places, rather than being stuck at a table talking.

So far all of the RPs I've joined on this site have died in the opening scene, and I'm a little nervous this is going to do the same/is currently doing the same. I'm still 100% committed to this RP, but if any of you have lost interest, I prefer being told rather than waiting to see if anyone posts.

I really didn't want to do this, but the RP is officially dead, since Jabroni seems to have dropped out, and what was supposed to be a large cast is quite small (especially with two of them not even having profiles). I know I'm slow to post this and you've all probably assumed this was long dead, but I just wanted to make an official announcement about it.

I do think part of the problem is that I kept the bigger plot too hidden, in that I should have referenced it in the initial introduction, which then would have (hopefully) caught more people's interest. I do plan on trying this RP again in the future (as that seems to be a fairly common thing on this site), so feel free to join again. I'll probably try it again next year. As for now, I have a different potential RP I'm working on, so hopefully that one will go better once I post it.

But, yeah. Thanks for joining this RP, and the little bit we wrote was fun. It just didn't have enough people to last.
