Nova is third born, more powerful than Gelsek, and doesn’t care about dominion when it comes to maintaining the fabric of reality. If it exists, she has dominion over it.

Yes he can. His very nature is opposition. He created Undead to oppose life, his power over Fate and his divine nature mean that he can exist outside time, and even if he can't win he can ensure his opponent pays dearly. If he were the only thing in existence he'd oppose himself.
The only check on his power is the fact that it is always possible for him to be defeated at any given thing he does. He doesn't get insta-wins.

The point is, he can’t be that powerful. He shouldn’t be able to be that powerful. That would make him more powerful than Valsen and I’m certain the gm wouldn’t approve. That one check isn’t enough to counter that much power.

He's not. Being powerful enough to oppose Valsen just meant Valsen couldn't permanently destroy Gelsek or force him to act against his nature (which would destroy him). Gelsek can never be so strong that he'd win outright and if he were opposing Valsen and Nova, he'd only be strong enough to oppose them both, losing power if one of them stopped opposing him.

Gelsek will never be able to permanently win by his very nature.

That makes him indestructible, which is also an rp no-no, my guy.

I get what your going for, there is always an absolute opposite. With dark comes light, one can not exist without the other, how would you know what light is without knowing what dark is. However Gelsek is the physical embodiment of that idea, he is that idea and can control it. It is Gelsek who dies if he’s killed, not the idea, but it’s physically form. Which in this case is Gelsek.

Let’s see if I got that right, there was a lot of reading to do if u missed a couple hours
