The Barrens of 2087
{A Post-Apocalyptic Action-Adventure Inspired By Past Real-Life Events, Based on an Old Roleplay from Animo.}
The years after World War Two took a different path than our own world. But on March/5/1953 Joseph Stalin of the Soviet Union was poisoned by an Unknown person or group and died. The Soviets began to become suspicious of the Americans and so they began pointing fingers at who they believed the Murderers were. No, In-fact, The Americans were Innocent at most and nobody knew who was the true killer.
On September/20/1955 when the seas were at its' calmest time, Russia sent two Aircraft carriers and Multiple Battleships to the Islands of Hawaii and began an assault on the Islands, Americans named the day 'R-Day'. America sent in 20,000 Airmen, and 12,000 Marines to combat the Russian Assault ships and carriers. After two weeks of hard-fighting, America regained control of the Islands.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower delivered this message live on Radio Stations and Televisions across the United States;
"Two weeks ago, Russia sent in forces to attack and take control of the Islands of Hawaii. Today, The USN, US Army, and The USAF have reported in that they have fought off the enemies and taken control of what was ours." The President pauses for a short moment. The people in the background could be heard cheering happily and such.
"I have no choice but to declare war on our once Allies, and friends." The camera cut out and regular TV began to resume.
Russia began to work on getting Astronauts into space in the early months of 1957, and in 1958, They established a fully-operational moon base which sparked a Space-Race with America. NASA was formed in 1959, and so it began. NASA sent a high-tech AI into the orbit of Earth and somehow Russia had also developed one as well and sent it into orbit as well. The two AIs were used for Reconssiance missions and spying on the Enemies countries, As well they were given Activation codes to bunkers and
Fast Forward to 1976, The two AIs began to malfunction from their original programmed orders and began to communicate with each other. The two AIs over the course of the years began to share Information and determined which side would win. In the early months of 1979, America sents its forces into Moscow, Russia where they took over the country in mere months. The forces of Russia trapped American forces and cut-out their supply routes with the use of Guerilla and stealth-combat tactics.
In 1987, The two AIs who had been up for decades now, Began to calculate which side would win, and became even more Sentient. The two AIs began to spill out whole entireties of Tactics and battleplans of both sides, And their calculation was finished. If they simply nuked the two sides, There would be no Winners nor Losers.
On October/27/1987, The two AIs not only activated every Nuclear silo on each side, But also gained Silos from other countries as well. The Old World Perished in only a few Hours, And there was still more to come.
In the early years of the 2030s, Survivors and what remained of Militaries built Bunkers to survive against the Horrors of the wastes, Then once a bunker was filled it was sealed off. The orders were to open back up in the year 2087, 100 years after the world was blown back into the stone-age. While the survivors populated the Bunkers over the years, Most bunkers developed new weapons, armor, and even cybernetics for when they had to open up the bunkers.
While most bunkers did survive their time, Some did not, Others failed completely. A few even did weird and mad experiments, Such as creating human-like animal people called Nekos or Furries. Nekos or Furries could be born to adapt to their environment, Example: A Neko person could see better at night because cats can see a bit better than normal Un-Augmented humans could. Others did sane experiments such as growing plants faster and or creating heavy-large frames of armour that was powered with electronics.
In 2087, Every active bunker opened, and spilled out the droves of New Survivors who had been born in the Bunker, Some stayed behind to turn the bunkers into Bases and Trading stations.
