[The Ascendency of the Lost Shards] A Lost Hope Returns

A shadowland? Aurelia leaned forward in contemplation of that. The term, if she remembered correctly, denoted a rare hole in the divide between Creation and a very real and physical Underworld. Completely at odds with what she was raised to believe about the dead. “Why do you believe everyone better without Tear Eater and his city?”

(@Teki) "Tear Eaters are the name of a band of barbarians. In my opinion they are predators and are causing the general area to have a tougher time recovering from the Great Contagion. As for the city well it's within the shadowland and rumor has it that a very powerful ghost rules the city. Known as the Lover, not sure if that's her full title or just a nickname."

(@BA) The binding takes hold as her sigil flares. She quickly boards the craft and looks at it and the rest of you with a bit of amazement. She appears to let herself relax now that you are bound to let her leave and see to her safety. "You really have been gone for a while haven't you?"

"For us, it was the Deliberative when we left, and several centuries... far longer has passed then." Lyrcurgus told her. "Your example has already made that clear."

"Exploring the Wyld and we found worlds beyond, even." Lycurugus said. "Proof in Aurelia, my mate... who you will see when she returns."

"What is the Great Contagion?" The way he said it, and thus the way Aurelia repeated the name, had the extra emphasis of a proper noun. Any illness marked that way had to be disastrous, and therefor noteworthy.

(@BA) "Wow, then you and yours were lucky. We're a hunted lot now. The dragon blooded are mad with power and kill any exalted they can. They call it the Wyld Hunt. As if we are as bad as the worst of the Fae." A look over the woods passing by then a gasp of breath as she sees the Enterprise as it is being repaired. "By Sol's left nut. You have an army."

(@Teki) Taking a deep breath. "The Great Contagion consisted of two major disasters one after another. The first was a plague beyond all others. This land, all lands to be precise are heavily depopulated. The plague has an almost 90% fatality rate and once the disease truly takes hold it kills in a matter of hours to days. It even affected the Exalted. That is what allowed the second great disaster to truly happen. A Fae Crusade attacked. I do not like the fact the Terrestrial host overthrew the Deliberative but even they were better then now. You see with with most of there forces depleted or dead they weren't able to mount a full theater defense in any direction. If it wasn't for that bitch of an Empress taking the throne and controls of the Sword of Creation we would of lost most of creation. I hope the disease is truly gone or we will have concrete proof if the Solar and Lunars would of been able to stop it."
