The Advertures and MisAdventures of "The Pride"

So explain to me how the entire crew goes from seeing Tasha and Thrace bickering to the point where she didn't want to go to the markets with him, got ordered by Devon to do so, then when they get back, just because she answers "Stuff" they all insinuate that they've been getting touchy feely. You as authors would know about it, Your characters would not. This is Meta-Gaming, or Crossing. A common disease that murders good roleplays.

Righty'oh (( And lets lay off Thrace and Tasha's love story......until he or she messes up then we all can go all out... but on a serious note lets lay off))

Let's not assume the love story bit until they either A. come out with it, or B. are caught by a member of the crew making out/in a blacked out scene/ect.

Basically Thrace and Tasha went to the black market and got supplies, and went back to the ship. Devon, Chris, and. Sasha went to go get money and kill someone(I have no idea what CelticHero was doing), and then they all grouped back together at the ship.

(If you want to know details, go back and read.)

Saddly to say guys am going to be gone until next week. Extra hours mean extra money in my book (( And I assume yours )) so I'll be back Saterday night.

Fark, Well at least their all back on board the ship. Guess we can mingle as a crew and set for long distance space flight.

True Story, Well glad you had fun ^_^ Welcome back to RpN

Ok everyone here's the reason I haven't posted as yet (after Friday night)

Main Reason: After watching a few episodes of star trek and the two movies I have realized that the ship REQUIRES a warp core.

Why: Our current Faster Than Light Drive is ideal for Local Star System Transportation. But what about stars like Alpha Centari (the closet star to our solar system its 4 light years away) to achieve great distances such as that the speed of light won't cut it. Not to mention the closer you get to the speed of light the slower time goes by (only for those that are going that speed) but unlike those that arnt going at the speed of light time is going by normally. (So it will take us four years to get to our closest star) So therefore thats where the warp core will come in. So any questions?

Warp Cores are not required, You can use many different types of star drives, There are other cores, Star Treks Warp Cores are bulky and fragile. I prefer the use of the Shaw-Fujikawa Translight Engines as seen in the Halo Universe. There is also the Hyperdrive From the Star Wars Universe, or even Slip Stream Technology.

I would like to state that it would be highly beneficial to eventually sub in a Tesser Engine, but this would be "Alien" technology due to the fact that it's not something any humans have ever created. It runs off of the principles of folding space time temporarily to move any amount of mass from one location to another giving the potential distance of our leaps no end. It would be a sort of End Game thing to bring into conception.

If you use a Warp Core from Star Trek, Thrace's Maneuvers to escape detection from the authorities are impossible. Warp Cores require complex calculations to go from one point to another and initiation of Warp without taking into account all factors needed results in catastrophic results. Shaw-Fujikawaka drives are also a burden as they are potentially a bomb that will rip the ship in half. The Hyperdrive from Star Wars would allow for repeated jumps without issue, and I realize that it explains that it is a type of Warp Core, but It functions quite a bit differently and repeated short jumps followed by a longer jump are used repeatedly in the books/games to avoid capture.

The Last alternative is to conceive our own Jump Drive, I have several that I use in my Roleplaying. The Primary drive I've always used was a plasma based inversion drive for Non FTL with a secondary core that I dubbed the Particle Drift Drive, or Drift Drive for easier writing. It uses the concept of gaining propulsion via particle displacement, The internals of the ship are shielded from outside influential matter while the hull of the ship is charged with particularized plasma energy, it is then ignited to allow it to be propelled at an FTL point that can be repeated quickly with a low burnout risk. It also keeps the ship's exterior squeaky clean!

Just throwing Ideas out here, Warp Cores in Star Trek are the size of a pair of City Buses put side by side, Dunno how you wanna engineer that into your ship.

Not really, Want me to design you an actual jump core with power draw requirements and an engine displation as well as the specifications for the actual fuels needed? I can, and will, happily. Sci-Fi is what I do. Go look at my thread Occam's Razor, I'm still expanding on it >: P that aint even close to all out.

I can. Development in progress. Give me till Friday. I'll toss concept ideas up as soon as I have them.

1.) making music with my family

2.) rpn

3.) Finding awesome fanfictions and reading

4.) watching Cowboy BeBop

Any interests beyond anime, reading, writing, and music? Like... my list is

1. Video Gaming

2. Roleplaying

3. Writing (not quite the same thing really)

4. Used to Skateboard (Bad Knee now)

5. Bicycling

6. Making Natural Weapons (Example: I made a bow, working on arrows.

I mean, You could do more RP if you felt like it. 1x1's are always entertaining. You could take up art, painting, drawing, ect. Play Free to play games on Steam Network (theres a couple of MMO's for free if you like that kind of thing.) List is endless.

I have a ton of interests, but for the most part I don't have much time.

For example, I love hiking, wrestling with my brothers, playing badmitton, and riding my bike around the neighborhood. Now that school is out, I'll have a lot more time to do things like that. But my bike is broken(which could be a summer project :-), my brothers aren't interested in anything else but video games and rpn, and I have no easy way to get any thing to play badmitton. To top that off, my dad has been out of work for the past 8 months, so we're always short on money.
